Implementasi Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dalam Kurikulum Merdeka di Pondok Pesantren Daarussunnah Wangon

This research is motivated by implementing the independent curriculum in all educational institutions under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religion, where this regulation requires formal educational institutions, both those with full-day and boarding status, to implement the independent curriculum. The Daarussunnah Wangon Islamic Boarding School is one of the institutions with an Islamic boarding school background that implements this curriculum. This is because the Daarussunnah Wangon Islamic boarding school carries out formal education under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion at the MTs and MA levels. As one of the formal Islamic boarding schools that implements an independent curriculum, it cannot be separated from various problems in its implementation. Among them; are delays in the socialization of the independent curriculum, adjustments to the curriculum by combining the independent curriculum and Islamic boarding schools, and limited movement of Islamic boarding schools in the Pancasila student project scheme. The aims of this research are (1) to find out the implementation of the independent curriculum at the Daarussunnah Wangon Islamic Boarding School, (2) to find out the implementation of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students at the Daarussunnah Wangon Islamic Boarding School.

At Fircroft, we sing: introducing communal singing as a new traditional practice at Fircroft College of Adult Education

This short article gives an account of introducing the tradition of communal singing to Fircroft College of Adult Education in Birmingham, UK. Fircroft is an adult residential college and has its roots in the Danish folk high school movement. Communal singing is a strong tradition of this movement, but the practice has not been used in Fircroft for many years. During the academic year 2023‐24, we incorporated this practice as a new tradition in the college. Here, we explain the reasons for introducing the tradition and reflect on our experiences, including identifying the challenges of developing truly inclusive collective practices.

Study on the Restrictive Factors of Wushu Sanda Movement in Weinan Middle School of Shan xi Province

This paper analyzes the development of Wushu Sanda movement in middle schools in Weinan City, Shan xi Province through the research methods of literature, questionnaire, logic analysis and expert interview, clears out the constraints of Wushu Sanda movement in middle schools, and puts forward corresponding solutions. The results show that: the effective time can not be well mastered; The site is inadequate or unsuitable; May cause fighting or disorder; Lack of martial arts education; Lack of teachers; Prone to sports injury; The lack of interest is the restricting factor that restricts the development of Wushu Sanda movement among young people. The author suggests that we should classify teaching according to the purpose of learning; Optimize the allocation and use of space; Changing the perception of parents and students; Strengthen military morality education; Recruit excellent Sanda teachers; Improve teaching quality and optimize service; Injury prevention and rehabilitation treatment are the effective countermeasures to solve the problem of Wushu Sanda movement among young people.

Civic-military schools in Brazil: Feminist lenses to uncover a patriarchal, white supremacist, and queerphobic project

This article examines the rise of conservative policies in Brazilian education, particularly since 2014 when teachers became targets of accusations related to "ideological indoctrination" and "gender ideology." The Non-Partisan Schools Movement has significantly contributed to fostering a climate of distrust and the militarisation of education has gained momentum under Jair Bolsonaro's presidency (2019–2022). Focusing on the Civic-Military Schools Program (PECIM), the article employs relational and feminist lenses to analyse the arguments of conservative supporters. Although the policy does not overtly promote anti-gender or anti-feminist rhetoric, its documents and implementation reveal underlying biases. While militarisation is framed as a means to improve educational quality, results indicate a dangerous initiative involving untrained military personnel, abusive behaviours, and practices that undermine the self-esteem of girls, queer and Black students. An intersectional feminist perspective, therefore, is fundamental to highlighting contradictions in conservative discourse and interrupting their policies.

Prevention of Bullying Behavior through the Roots Program

The study aims to identify the bullying of students and the preventive efforts of the school through the Roots School Movement program. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with a phenomenological approach, and the research location is in the 7th Makassar State High School. The population in this study is the head of school, teachers, and pupils with sampling techniques using probability random samplings. Data collection techniques are done using observations, interviews, and documentation; then, data will be analyzed using triangulation data, i.e., data collection, data reduction, and verification. Based on the research results, conversation forms often occur in both verbal and non-verbal forms. The verbal conversations experienced by the students are extortion, body shaming, kissing, igniting, and exorcism. Whereas the non-verbal negotiations that occur with the pupils are deliberately pushed and beaten. This beating is done between individuals and individuals, groups to individuals, and groups to groups. So based on that, the things that the 7 Makassar State High Schools are doing in dealing with the negotiations are forming anti-negotiation teams, socializing, forming pupils as anti-counseling agents, training teachers, training pupils, anti-conversion exhibitions for pupils and activating school committees and changing the learning paradigm between teachers and pupils.

Development of Heutogogy Model as a Framework to Prepare Self-Determined Educator: A Case Study in Indonesia

This study aims to develop a heutogogy learning model which determines indigenous resources to improve numeracy literacy for high school educator to prepare their educator against disruptive education. This type of research is development research by using the ADDIE method according to two stages, namely (a) exploratory research to identify educator characteristics and needs, and (b) development research to develop a heutogogy model based on educators' needs. Heutogogy model succeeded in increasing educator numeracy literacy in high school as a preparation to create competent educators in a disruptive education era. This model has also succeeded in improving the literacy-numerical skills of teachers as primary agents of the information literacy movement in schools. By improving the educators' numerical skills, the model contributes to their overall information literacy, empowering them to better guide students in the rapidly evolving educational landscape characterized by disruptive changes. Need further research to implement this model on the different competencies with more deep user validation. This research can boost educators' literacy-numerical abilities, which are needed by the world of education in the next 10 years.

Promoting an Active School Culture: Tools, Resources, and Recognition

Within a whole-of-school approach to student wellness, comprehensive school physical activity programs (CSPAPs) offer opportunities for physical activity before, during, and after the school day. However, to successfully influence behavior and fully reap the physical, cognitive, and psychological benefits of an active lifestyle, schools must strive to embed a culture of physical activity into the fabric of the school community. The national Active Schools movement, established to provide schools with the necessary tools to ensure that all children in the United States have the opportunity to participate in 60 minutes of physical activity each day, has developed a framework for an active school culture that includes nine essential elements. This article introduces the framework and describes the open-source tools and resources offered through Active Schools to promote school-based physical activity, including foundational guidance documents, assessment tools, professional development opportunities, and a school recognition system.

Mitigating rACEsm in K-12 Classrooms: The Consideration of Culturally-Informed Adverse Childhood Experiences and Utilization of Culturally Relevant Education and Systemically Trauma-Informed Practice

Forty-six percent of children in the United States experience a potentially traumatic event (PTE), also known as an Adverse Childhood Experience (or ACE), including abuse (physical, sexual, emotional), neglect, and/or household dysfunction (incarceration of a family member, parental mental illness, divorce, etc.) before their 18th birthday. In the United States, 61% of African-American youth experience at least one ACE (more than any other racial or ethnic group), compared with 40% of White children. A culturally informed conceptualization of the ACEs framework (C-ACEs) that considers the effects of historical trauma, racist social conditions, and race-based biological stress on African-American youth is essential. This is particularly important in K-12 Educational institutions for two reasons: (1) Schools are a major environment in which African-American youth are exposed to racial trauma via teachers, peers, policies, and practices within the school itself; (2) Popularity of the “trauma-informed” movement in schools that overemphasizes and overuses the existing ACEs framework (i.e., a “neoliberal biomedical trauma model”) and does not consider larger systems that cause and perpetuate trauma (p. 105). Further, it is essential to review how school teachers, administrators, and staff can amalgamate Systemically Trauma-Informed Practice (SysTIP) with Culturally Relevant Education (CRE) to increase education equity, reduce the trauma of racism experienced within educational spaces, and help ensure that African-American students succeed academically and personally.

ATHEISTIC PROPAGANDA AMONG GORKY’S SCHOOLCHILDREN IN THE EARLY 1930s

The paper examines the issues of atheistic education of Soviet schoolchildren, carried out by the League of Militant Atheists. A focus is placed on the history of the establishment of this organisation, its activities in general and among the children of Nizhny Novgorod in particular. The paper analyses the features of the organisation of children’s godless movement in a Soviet city school, pioneers, as well as among preschool children. Attention is paid to the key features of atheistic propaganda, as well as its forms and methods. An emphasis is also placed on the influence of atheism on the consciousness of children.

Where is the Middle School Movement Today? Interrogating Consequential Organizations

In an effort to advance the middle school movement, this paper examines the research trends from three organizations that support middle grades educational innovation, assessment, and research: The Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Educational Testing Service, and the Institute of Education Sciences. Using an instrumental, multiple case study design, trends within and across these organizations regarding research on middle grades education were identified. We found trends across these organizations that reveal the following: They privilege quantitative methodologies; the research topics examined are limited in focus; and the end-result for much of their work results in exclusive products for sale. Further, each of these organizations has deep pockets that provide significant funds for their research projects and products.

Implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah Terhadap Kondisi Minat Baca Siswa SD Negeri Purut

An interest in reading is very important for elementary school students because it is related to students' ability to read and process their insights. Of course, this is the task of educators to build interest in reading through various ways, one of which is by implementing the School Literacy Movement in schools.This research is intended to describe how to implement the school literacy movement in fostering students' interest in reading at SD Negeri Purut. The researcher also wanted to find out whether students' interest in reading in this school could grow along with the implementation of the existing program in the School Literacy Movement in schools and also describe the results of the implementation of the GLS program on students. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach that focuses on teachers, students, and school residents. The research instruments used in this study are observation guidelines, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation for data collection in the implementation of the School Literacy Movement on Students' Reading Interest in Schools. In conclusion, the school has implemented the School Literacy Movement in accordance with the stages that have been regulated in the GLS implementation guidelines.

Alabama

The Alabama Education Trust Fund budget remains strong due to low unemployment rates, increased tax revenues, and remaining COVID relief funds. Teachers are receiving a pay increase for the second year in a row, and support staff salaries are set at $15 minimum per hour. A number of initiatives and new programs are receiving increases, and a supplementary budget is financing one-time expenses. The charter school movement continues to grow, and expansions are anticipated in the coming years.

School management and organizational culture towards teachers` performance: The perspective of educational transformation

This research addresses the limited deep understanding of the direct impact of the School Movement Management practices on various aspects of teacher performance within the framework of a dynamic organizational culture in the continually transforming educational era. The study aims to examine the influence of school movement management and school culture on the pillars of teacher performance in this era of educational transformation. The research method is quantitative, utilizing a sample of 62 elementary school teachers selected through purposive sampling based on their involvement in the implementation of School Movement Management and their activities within the school's organizational culture. Data was collected through surveys and documentation, including trial testing of the research instruments. Data analysis was conducted using T-test and F-test. The research findings confirmed three points. First, there is an influence of School Movement Management on the performance of elementary school teachers. Second, there is an influence of Organizational Culture on the performance of elementary school teachers. Third, there is a combined influence of School Movement Management and Organizational Culture on the performance of elementary school teachers. This study highlights the importance of collaboration among schools, principals, the community, and supervisors to enhance the competencies of principals in School Movement Management and Organizational Culture. The results provide evidence that both aspects significantly impact teacher performance, supporting more effective human resource management policies in the context of educational transformation

Echoes of Wisdom: Unveiling Ecological Education in Oral Literature for an Enriched School Literacy Movement

One of the issues that is capturing the world's attention today is environmental issues. Ancient societies had a concern for the environment. Environmental education efforts can be implemented in the School Literacy Movement. To that end, this research will answer the following research questions: 2). How is the natural element in the oral literature of society? 3) How are the efforts to revitalize oral literature and the literacy movement in schools? This study used PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review) for the search strategy and the systematic review approach on the selected articles. Relevant literature searches were conducted throughout the Garuda portal. Research results have shown that oral literature plays an important role in society. The important position is because oral literature comes with a variety of functions, namely: (1) As a religious means of a string of prayers and hope to God; (2) As a means of recreation after a long day's work; (3) As a means of education to convey messages of goodness from parents to their children; (4) As a remedy, they mixed spells with plants and other objects; (5) As a means of stimulating the economy in the fields of agriculture, plantations, and the sea; (6). A medium of criticism and advice in the social field of society. Attempts at revitalization have been made in several ways. Among them, collecting old literature in the form of encyclopedia books, anthologies, and textbooks. In addition, it is necessary to make efforts to make oral literature more enjoyable for the younger generation.

North Sumatra Busedah to strengthen students’ character and implementation through the fun school

Strengthening character education still needs to be done because it has been found that student's behavior is not according to applicable norms and rules. History education is one of the subjects that can potentially strengthen character education. The formulation of this research is "How is the design of North Sumatra Busedah to strengthen the character education of students and its implementation through the fun school movement?". The purpose of this research is to analyze the design of North Sumatra Busedah to strengthen the character education of students and its implementation through the fun school movement. This type of research is descriptive research. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets and history books. The research procedure was carried out by analyzing the material content in the history book used by the teacher. Then, researchers designed a new history book, North Sumatra Busedah as a renewal of history books that contained material about the history of North Sumatra. Furthermore, researchers examined the challenges that would be faced in implementing North Sumatra Busedah through the fun school movement. The results showed that researchers designed the creation of North Sumatra Busedah as a history book renewal which was adjusted to the learning outcomes in phases E and F. 2 possible challenges will be faced in implementing North Sumatra Busedah to strengthen the character education of students through the fun school movement.

A Utilization of Visual Communication Media to Enhance Community Participation in the Back to School Movement in Brebes Regency

Brebes Regency still has a relatively low HDI compared to other regencies in Central Java. One of the causes of the low HDI in Brebes Regency is the low level of education. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Brebes Regency in 2020, the gross enrollment rate (APK) of children aged 7-12 years in Brebes Regency was 93.86%. This means that out of 100 children aged 7-12 years in Brebes Regency, only around 94 children attend school. Responding to these conditions, the Brebes Regency Government launched the Back to School Movement (GKB) to provide opportunities for children who have dropped out of school to continue their education. In implementing the GKB there are still obstacles, including limited infrastructure and human resources. Based on directions from the Brebes Regency DINDIKPORA, the service team was directed to provide training and assistance to the Education Care Community Forum (FMPP) in Sigambir Village, Brebes District, Brebes Regency in developing visual communication media, which can later be used to support the outreach activities of the Back to School Movement to various levels of society. The method for implementing service activities is designed using 4 activity stages, namely preliminary studies to identify needs, training in developing visual communication media, assistance with media implementation and evaluation. Visual communication media can increase effectiveness and efficiency in conveying socialization messages to a wider audience, make it easier to understand the message, and increase the audience's attractiveness and interaction with the message conveyed. Through this service activity, it is hoped that the Education Care Community Forum (FMPP) in Sigambir Village, Brebes District, can maximize its potential as an extension of the Brebes Regency Government in increasing community participation in the Back to School Movement in Brebes Regency.

SENSE-ational schools: physical literacy enriched opportunities for students with neurodiversity

ABSTRACT Purpose Given the various social, physical, and environmental factors at play during a physical education (PE) class, some components of the PE experience can be overstimulating for individuals with neurodiversity. There have been repeated calls to action for the creation of inclusive experiences for all children in schools, however, very few have examined inclusive movement experiences across various movement contexts in schools (e.g. PE, recess, hallways, before/after school, etc.). This study reports on the SENSE-ational schools program as a model of an inclusive pedagogical approach for students with neurodiversity across school movement contexts. Data collection/analysis An exploratory case study design was used to examine inclusive practices within 4 elementary schools (grades K-5). Observations were grouped into four thematic categories: (1) School staff communication and engagement; (2) ‘Soft landings’; (3) Pre-teaching and reflective practice; (4) Lesson plans and equipment as a tool to support pedagogy. Findings Consistent with a physical literacy enriched pedagogy approach, the SENSE-ational schools program provided an opportunity for individualized movement journeys regardless of student level of ability or interest. The multiple success pathways for each individual student, afforded by different equipment deployed and strategies implemented, allowed for all students to feel successful in shared movement experiences. The SENSE-ational schools program is illustrated as a ‘best practice’ exemplar of inclusion for students with neurodiversity.

The Tyranny of Schools: Nature and Nation in the Schools of Transylvania and the Romanian Kingdom, 1870-1914

This research investigates the development of the nature study movement in the secondary schools of Transylvania and the Romanian Kingdom between 1870 and 1914. Building on the scholarship dealing with the rise of the “biological perspective” in Germany, the paper deals with the roots of the Romanian nature preservation movement and its relationship with the political and economic projects of nation-building that developed in the dualist Austrian-Hungarian Empire. It analyses how methodological changes in the teaching of natural history and the introduction of teaching aids such as nature excursions, botanical school gardens, and celebrations of birds and trees, influenced the development of a nationalist, utilitarian, anthropocentric and racial approach toward the natural environment.
