COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT IN THE SADARI PROGRAM (BREAST SELF-EXAMINATION)

Background: Cancer is currently one of the leading causes of death worldwide. One of the most common cancers and with the highest incidence is breast cancer. There are still many PKK Mojosongo Jebres Surakarta mothers who are not aware of the importance of early breast examination. This Breast Self-Examination (BSE) has been proven to be culturally acceptable, religiously friendly, and inexpensive. BSE is one way of action to find early symptoms of breast cancer that can be detected by mothers themselves, does not require experts to find breast cancer early, and is part of prevention efforts. Objective: This community service is to improve BSE knowledge and skills through community empowerment which will have an impact on increasing awareness and efforts to prevent breast cancer in Mojosongo. Methods: This activity begins with a regional visit to find out the existing problems, and a meeting with the PKK Chairperson to coordinate the implementation, the sampling technique uses a total sampling of all PKK mothers totaling 50 people who are given education and practice on how to do self-examination at home. Results: Community service can improve the ability of PKK mothers to do BSE independently. Conclusion: SADARI Education and Training improves the ability of knowledge and skills independently and has a positive impact on maternal health. The Recommendations, need to encourage and follow up on education and training on SADARI examinations by adding periodic follow-up sessions, this is done so that knowledge and practice of SADARI continue to be implemented.

Tajweed Learning Education and Al-Qur'an Reading Assistance with the Ummi Method for 'Aisyiyah Jiken Branch Mothers

This community service activity aims to improve the ability of Aisyiyah mothers at the Al-Jihad Jiken Tulangan mosque to read the Qur'an correctly according to the rules of tajwid through the Ummi method with the Quran Explore method. The Ummi method was chosen because of its simplicity and effectiveness in teaching tajwid to adults. This activity was carried out through several stages, namely the introduction of the Ummi method, learning the theory of tajwid, application in reading the Qur'an, and group incentive assistance. The implementation of the activity was carried out in 4 meetings, with an evaluation carried out at the end of the program. The results obtained after the tajwid learning assistance program for the mothers of the 'Aisiyah Jiken branch leaders showed significant results, where students were able to read more fluently by understanding the basic science of tajwid. This assistance program succeeded in motivating students to continue learning and practicing independently. With this activity, it is hoped that it can be sustainable as a routine program to improve reading the Qur'an among the community.

The Relationship Between Mothers' Knowledge and Attitude in Breastfeeding and The Occurrence of Nipple Irritation in Pidie Regency

Research indicates that 40% of women do not breastfeed their infants due to experiencing breast pain and swelling, and fear of nipple soreness. This may be due to incorrect breastfeeding techniques, which are often overlooked by mothers who lack the proper breastfeeding management knowledge, thus requiring relevant training and education. Proper breastfeeding requires good attachment between the mother's areola and the baby's mouth so the baby can feed effectively and nipple irritation can be avoided. If not adhered to, nipple irritation may occur, causing mothers to be reluctant to breastfeed their infants, which may impact to the child's growth rate. Breast milk is an excellent source of nutrition for infants, as it contains essential nutrients needed for optimal growth and development (Prasetyono, 2012). Data from the Aceh District/City Breastfeeding Coverage in 2022 shows that the highest coverage was in Sabang City, with only 22.43% of the population (6,006 infants). This study used a cross-sectional design where 375 infants were breastfed, and the Slovin formula was applied. Samples were randomly selected from infants at health centers in Pidie District. Researchers used the Chi-square test for data analysis. The findings from this study, derived from bivariate statistical analysis using the Chi-square test with a 95% confidence level, resulted in a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This indicates that the knowledge variable significantly affects breastfeeding technique. The Chi-square test at a 95% confidence level with p=0.000 (p < 0.05) also shows that attitude has an impact on the mother's ability to breastfeed. The mother's knowledge and attitude significantly influence their breastfeeding practice. The best way to prevent nipple irritation is by educating mothers on proper breastfeeding techniques. Researchers state that improving maternal knowledge and attitudes can enhance behavior, especially in breastfeeding practices, to prevent irritation. Monitoring by health workers is expected to improve maternal knowledge and attitudes and minimize the incidence of nipple irritation.

Thus, Dawis women can use YouTube as a platform for online commerce and entrepreneurship more effectively. This community service aims to optimize the use of YouTube social media as an entrepreneurial tool for Dasa Wisma (Dawis) women in Amposari Village, Pedurungan District, Semarang City. This program was implemented by the Community Service (PKM) team from the Muhammadiyah Semarang Institute of Statistics and Business Technology in March 2024. This activity included theoretical and practical training involving 25 participants from various RTs in the village. The methods used include interviews, discussions, lectures, and questions and answers, with the aim of exploring online business ideas and improving the entrepreneurial spirit of participants

Whole-genome sequencing of bacteria accountable for lactational mastitis in humans combined with an examination of their antibiotic resistance profiles.

Lactational mastitis, a common condition affecting nursing mothers, is characterized by mammary gland inflammation during lactation. This inflammatory response typically occurs due to bacterial infection. The discomfort and pain associated with lactational mastitis can significantly impact a mother's ability to breastfeed comfortably and may lead to the cessation of breastfeeding altogether if left untreated. Antibiotics are commonly prescribed to target the bacteria causing the infection and alleviate symptoms, aiming to treat the infection. Nevertheless, a notable worry linked to antibiotic use is the emergence of antibiotic resistance, compounded by the possible persistence of antibiotics in milk. Additionally, lactational mastitis is characterized by its polymicrobial nature. In this study, bacteria were isolated from infected breast milk samples and whole-genome sequencing was performed on eleven isolates to accurately identify the bacteria and assess their antibiotic resistance profiles. Using Galaxy tools and the ResFinder database, we identified Bacillus paraanthracis, Bacillus altitudinis, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Alcaligenes faecalis, and Bacillus licheniformis, along with antibiotic-resistant genes like fosB1, cat86, erm (D), blaZ, and mdf (A). ABRicate aided in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) gene analysis, and CARD visualized their distribution. Our study demonstrates that the severity of infection is directly proportional to an increase in somatic cell count (SCC). This research sheds light on microbial diversity in lactational mastitis milk and provides crucial insights into antibiotic-resistance genes. Utilizing bioinformatics tools, such as those employed in this study, can inform the design of effective treatment strategies for lactational mastitis infections.

PSII-4 How to define good mothering ability using computer vision of free farrowing sows?

Abstract In modern swine production, most of the sows are housed in a cage system in the farrowing unit. Although this system is intended to reduce preweaning mortality, the welfare of the sow might be compromised as it greatly restricts their natural behavior. Free farrowing systems allow sows to move around in the farrowing pen, which might stimulate their nesting behavior, shorten the farrowing duration and improve locomotion score, therefore, optimizing the longevity of the sows. However, the risk of increased preweaning mortality in free farrowing systems is greater compared with cage systems. Previous studies suggested that sow behavior, also known as mothering ability, can influence preweaning mortality as an increased level of posture changes could lead to increased mortality. With grunts, a sow could initiate the suckling of the piglets but also terminate it by hiding her udder from the piglets. However, there is conflicting evidence on what characteristics of maternal ability are correlated with piglet mortality, and most studies relied on limited manual observations, which might be biased. Using computer vision algorithms, the behavior and the movement pattern of a large number of sows could be monitored at a high density and on a continuous basis. Hence, this study intended to investigate the mothering ability of sows in free farrowing systems based on large quantities and unbiased observations using computer vision. Forty cameras were installed above free farrowing pens to observe the behavior of the sow. The dataset is continuously growing and will add data of 8 sows every week, totaling 416 sows on a yearly basis. The performance of the sows and their piglets are recorded, including body weight (BW), backfat, total number born, number weaned, birth weight, and weaning weight. Computer vision algorithms (YOLO) will be trained to estimate the contour and posture of the sow and the position of the piglets. Preliminary results based on a small subset of animals showed that the algorithm is able to detect the sows and their postures accurately, and it is now being extended to detect piglet locations. This will allow us to find beneficial behavior of sow and piglets, estimate genetic parameters for potential implementation in breeding programs, and eventually improve sow performance in a welfare-friendly free farrowing system.

Caregiving Ability of Mothers of Children With Cancer: Qualitative Content Analysis.

Childhood cancer confronts the child and the parents with considerable degrees of stress. Because caring for the child is mainly the role of the mother in most families, her ability to take care of the affected child is very important. To explore the caregiving ability of Iranian mothers who have children diagnosed with cancer. In this present study, which was conducted using the Directed Qualitative Content Analysis Method, 11 parents having children diagnosed with cancer and 5 professional caregivers working at the Department of Hematology and Oncology of Mofid Children Hospital in Tehran, Iran, were selected using purposeful sampling method. Data were collected through semistructured interviews. Data analysis was performed simultaneously with data collection using the Directed Content Analysis Approach. Five main categories emerged, namely, care exhaustion, care confusion, spiritual conflict, care competence, and care preparedness that represent the beneficiaries' perception of the caring ability of Iranian mothers of cancer-afflicted children. Study results revealed that the caregiving capacity of mothers nurturing cancer-stricken children can be evaluated across 5 domains, encompassing a spectrum of maternal requirements in child care. Improving these domains can elevate maternal caregiving proficiency, fostering self-care and enhancing care for the ailing child. A program can be developed based on the findings of the present study, in order to improve the caring ability of mothers of cancer-afflicted children, which results in improving the mother's care for her cancer-afflicted child.

Evaluating Malnutrition Practices and Mother's Education on Children Failure to Thrive Symptoms Using Entropy-Weight and TOPSIS Method.

Failure to thrive (FTT) is mostly caused by insufficient consumption of nutrient-rich food, recurrent infections like diarrhea and intestinal worms, substandard caregiving practices, and limited availability of health and other vital services. Furthermore, there was a correlation between the educational level of mothers and the occurrence of FTT in children aged 6-12 months. Thus, the objective of the current research is twofold: (i) to investigate other factors related to FTT and (ii) to evaluate the impact of them on FTT in Sub-Saharan African countries and their urban areas. We used weight entropy and TOPSIS methods to approach the research question. In particular, the entropy-weight method is effective for precisely evaluating the relative significance of the selected criteria for TOPSIS computation. Thus, data were retrieved from the database of UNICEF for the year 2019 for nine Sub-Saharan countries, and based on the methods used, five criteria have been selected for consideration. Those of mothers in higher education were identified as having a higher weight, which means that this can affect positively the ability of mothers to mitigate the situation of FTT and protect their children. The findings of the study highlight the factors of maternal education at a higher level and unhealthy habits as those with the greatest weight and impact on the FTT. Moreover, the results indicate that the association between maternal education, and especially higher education, and FTT is stronger in Ethiopia. Despite the limited amount of research on the specified relationship in Sub-Saharan countries, this study is among the initial ones to examine it. The current study can aid policymakers in devising appropriate policies and implementing effective measures to tackle FTT in Sub-Saharan Africa, like enhancing the number of mothers in these countries to be integrated into the educational system to help both themselves and their children mitigate or avoid the symptoms of FTT.

The effect of cognitive reappraisal on emotion recognition in mothers of children with special needs

Intrinsic family dynamics are an important factor in the development of children with special needs, and mothers' emotion regulation ability influences children's development to some extent. This study examined the intrinsic mechanism of cognitive reappraisal of emotion regulation strategies affecting the emotion recognition ability of mothers of children with special needs. Results indicated that mothers of children with special needs recognized negative emotions significantly faster than typically developing child mothers. After receiving cognitive reappraisal emotion regulation strategies, they significantly improved emotional recognition of surprise and reduced attention bias towards anger. Overall, mothers of children with special needs may have obvious attention bias towards negative emotions, and cognitive reappraisal can target negative emotions to help them to better improve emotional resilience.

Audiovisual Education Techniques on Mothers' Psychomotor Abilities in First Aid for Febrile Seizures in Toddlers

Background: One of the health issues that frequently affect infants is febrile seizures, which are brought on by a fever without any cerebral infection. This could cause death, paralysis, or even damage to the brain. This study aimed to analyze the effect of audio-visual techniques on the psychomotor abilities of mothers in providing first aid for simple febrile seizures in toddlers. Methods: The research design was a pre-experiment, a one-group pretest, and a post-test with a population of 90 mothers and a sample of 30 mothers with toddlers obtained by the purposive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria were mothers who were willing to be respondents, mothers with healthy toddlers, and mothers over 18 years of age. The pre-test was carried out before the intervention, and the intervention was given twice in one week with a duration of 25–30 minutes. A post-test was then carried out. Results: The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used for statistical analysis (α = 0.05). The results of the study were obtained before the intervention; all respondents had psychomotor abilities in the lower category, and after the intervention, most of the respondents' psychomotor skills were in the higher category. Statistical results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (α = 0.05), which means that there was an effect of audiovisual education techniques on the psychomotor ability of the mother in first aid for simple febrile seizures. Conclusion: Audiovisual education techniques could stimulate the two senses of sight and hearing simultaneously, so that mothers were more focused on the material provided and the material was easier to accept, especially for psychomotor competence. Audiovisual techniques should be used as an alternative learning method for ordinary people because they are more effective in improving psychomotor abilities.

DNA methylation machinery is involved in development and reproduction in the viviparous pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum).

Epigenetic mechanisms, such as DNA methylation, have been proposed to mediate plastic responses in insects. The pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum), like the majority of extant aphids, displays cyclical parthenogenesis - the ability of mothers to switch the reproductive mode of their offspring from reproducing parthenogenetically to sexually in response to environmental cues. The pea aphid genome encodes two paralogs of the de novo DNA methyltransferase gene, dnmt3a and dnmt3x. Here we show, using phylogenetic analysis, that this gene duplication event occurred at least 150 million years ago, likely after the divergence of the lineage leading to the Aphidomorpha (phylloxerans, adelgids and true aphids) from that leading to the scale insects (Coccomorpha) and that the two paralogs are maintained in the genomes of all aphids examined. We also show that the mRNA of both dnmt3 paralogs is maternally expressed in the viviparous aphid ovary. During development both paralogs are expressed in the germ cells of embryos beginning at stage 5 and persisting throughout development. Treatment with 5-azactyidine, a chemical that generally inhibits the DNA methylation machinery, leads to defects of oocytes and early-stage embryos and causes a proportion of later stage embryos to be born dead or die soon after birth. These phenotypes suggest a role for DNA methyltransferases in reproduction, consistent with that seen in other insects. Taking the vast evolutionary history of the dnmt3 paralogs, and the localisation of their mRNAs in the ovary, we suggest there is a role for dnmt3a and/or dnmt3x in early development, and a role for DNA methylation machinery in reproduction and development of the viviparous pea aphid.

Hubungan Dukungan Keluarga dengan Kemampuan Ibu Postpartum Dalam Perawatan Tali Pusat Bayi Baru Lahir Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Gunung Sari Ulu

Newborn care is care provided to maintain the health of the baby, including proper bathing of the baby and care of the umbilical cord, which can prevent infection and accelerate the release of the umbilical cord. The results of a preliminary study conducted at the Gunung Sari Ulu Health Center obtained data on the number of newborns in 2020: as many as 283 babies; in 2021, there were 216 babies; in 2022, there were 216 babies; and in the January–April 2023 period, there were 72 babies. The results of interviews about family support with 10 postpartum mothers showed that 6 people got good support from their families and 4 people got less support from their families. The results of interviews about umbilical cord care revealed that 3 postpartum mothers understood umbilical cord care and 7 postpartum mothers did not understand umbilical cord care. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and the ability of postpartum mothers to care for the umbilical cord of newborns in the Working Area of the Gunung Sari Ulu Health Center. This type of research used quantitative research with a descriptive correlational research design and a cross-sectional approach. The study population was postpartum women in the Working Area of the Gunung Sari Ulu Health Center, Balikpapan City, and the sampling technique used a total of 82 people. Collecting data using a questionnaire sheet Data analysis is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the chi square test (X2). The description of family support for postpartum mothers is in the high category, namely 42 people (51.2%), and in the low category, namely 40 people (48.8%). The description of the ability of postpartum mothers to care for the umbilical cord of newborns was in the good category, namely 50 people (61%), the sufficient category, namely 28 people (34.1%), and the poor category, namely 11 people (4.9%). Chi square statistical test results (2) obtained a value of (0.017) < α (0.05), indicating that Ha is accepted. Conclusion there is a relationship between family support and the ability of postpartum mothers to care for the umbilical cord of newborns in the Working Area of the Gunung Sari Ulu Health Center.

Pengenalan Metode Tilawati pada Jama’ah Pengajian Musholla Nurul Iman di Desa Mekar Sari Kecamatan Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Mesuji Provinsi Lampung

This article contains the results of research during the community service period in Mekar Sari Village, Tanjung Raya District, Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province. Based on the results of observations when participating in the routine recitation activities of the Nurul Iman prayer room, there are several problems and one of them is the lack of interest in learning and reading the Koran by mothers in Mekar Sari village which is one of the problems that is the focus of this article's research. The use of inappropriate methods in a lesson can cause learning outcomes to be less than optimal. The application of the tilawati method is an alternative in increasing the motivation and ability of mothers to read the Qur'an. The principle of teaching the Qur'an using the tilawati method is that it is taught practically using the rost song, taught in a classical manner, taught in groups with reading and listening techniques using the Al-Qur'an. The implementation of Al-Qur'an learning using the tilawati method in the prayer congregation of the Nurul Iman musholla has had the effect of changing the ability of mothers to read the Al-Qur'an. Supporting factors and inhibiting factors for learning the Qur'an with the tilawati method are influenced by technical and field conditions, as well as the conditions of the recitation congregation. From this it is hoped that the interest and ability of the women in the prayer congregation at the Nurul Iman prayer room can increase so that learning outcomes are more effective and of good quality.

Development and psychometric evaluation of "Caring Ability of Mother with Preterm Infant Scale" (CAMPIS): a sequential exploratory mixed-method study.

Caring ability is one of the most important indicators regarding care outcomes. A valid and reliable scale for the evaluation of caring ability in mothers with preterm infants is lacking. The present study was conducted with the aim of designing and psychometric evaluation of the tool for assessing caring ability in mothers with preterm infants. A mixed-method exploratory design was conducted from 2021 to 2023. First the concept of caring ability of mothers with preterm infants was clarified using literature review and comparative content analysis, and a pool of items was created. Then, in the quantitative study, the psychometric properties of the scale were evaluated using validity and reliability tests. A maximum likelihood extraction with promax rotation was performed on 401 mothers with the mean age of 31.67 ± 6.14years to assess the construct validity. Initial caring ability of mother with preterm infant scale (CAMPIS) was developed with 64 items by findings of the literature review, comparative content analysis, and other related questionnaire items, on a 5-point Likert scale to be psychometrically evaluated. Face, content, and construct validity, as well as reliability, were measured to evaluate the psychometric properties of CAMPIS. So, the initial survey yielded 201 valid responses. The three components: 'cognitive ability'; knowledge and skills abilities'; and 'psychological ability'; explained 47.44% of the total observed variance for CAMPIS with 21 items. A subsequent survey garnered 200 valid responses. The confirmatory factor analysis results indicated: χ2/df = 1.972, comparative fit index (CFI) = 0.933, and incremental fit index (IFI) = 0.933. These results demonstrate good structural, convergent, discriminant validity and reliability. OMEGA, average inter-item correlation (AIC), intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) for the entire scale were at 0.900, 0.27 and 0.91 respectively. Based on the results of the psychometric evaluation of CAMPIS, it was found that the concept of caring ability in the Iranian mothers with preterm infants is a multi-dimensional concept, which mainly focuses on cognitive ability, technical ability, and psychological ability. The designed scale has acceptable validity and reliability characteristics that can be used in future studies to assess this concept in the mothers of preterm infants.

Health Belief Model Theory Approach to Analyze Pregnant Women's Ability to Prevent Anemia

One of the nutritional problems that often occurs in pregnant women is anemia. The inability of pregnant women to prevent anemia needs to be predicted based on various factors using the Health Belief Model theory. The research aims to analyze the mother's ability to prevent pregnancy anemia using the theoretical approach of the Health Belief Model. The quantitative research method, with a cross-sectional approach, was carried out at the Arosbaya Bangkalan Community Health Center from May to August 2023. The sampling technique was determined using simple random sampling with a sample size of 101 respondents. Data analysis used the Chi-Square Test. Statistical test results perceived susceptibility (ρ=0.000), perceived severity (ρ=0.007), perceived benefits (ρ =0.000), perceived barrier (ρ=1.000) and self-efficacy (ρ=0.028). The research conclusion is that perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, and self-efficacy influence the ability of pregnant women to prevent anemia. In contrast, perceived barriers do not affect the ability of pregnant women to prevent anemia.

영아기 자녀 어머니의 공감능력이 어머니-교사 협력에 미치는 영향

Objectives The purpose of this study is to find out how the empathy ability of mothers of children in infancy affects mother-teacher cooperation and to verify the mediating effect of parenting competency that affects the causal relationship between these two variables.
 Methods An electronic survey was conducted on 284 mothers of infant children attending daycare centers in the Gyeonggi-do area. The collected data were subjected to reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis to verify mediation effects using the SPSS 29.0 program, and Sobel-test was performed to verify significance.
 Results First, the relationships between mothers' empathy and parenting capabilities and mother-teacher cooperation in infancy showed a positive correlation. Second, a partial mediating effect of parenting competency was found in the effect of the mother's empathy ability on mother-teacher cooperation during infancy.
 Conclusions This study consistently shows that mother-teacher cooperation plays an important role in the development of infants, but research on the characteristics of parents necessary to promote this is relatively insufficient. In this situation, the empathic ability of mothers of children in infancy is influenced by teachers. The significance of the study is that it was proven to be a parental variable that has a significant direct and indirect effect on cooperation with parents. Based on this study, it is expected that parent education programs will be activated to improve parents' empathy and strengthen their parenting capabilities.

Social Support and Spousal Relationship Quality Improves Responsiveness among Anxious Mothers.

Maternal responsiveness, a mother's ability to consistently identify infant cues and then act on them, is critical for healthy child development. A woman's social support and spousal relationship may affect responsiveness to an infant, especially among mothers with anxiety. We assessed how social support and spousal relationship quality is associated with responsiveness among anxious mothers, and if postpartum depression (PPD) moderated these associations. Cross-sectional data were collected from 2019 to 2022 in a public hospital in Pakistan from 701 women at six-weeks postpartum. Eligible women had at least mild anxiety in early- to mid- pregnancy. Linear regression analyses assessed if spousal relationship quality and social support from family and friends were associated with maternal responsiveness, measured using the Maternal Infant Responsiveness Instrument. Interaction terms were used to examine if PPD moderated these associations. Spousal relationship quality (B = 2.49, 95% CI: 1.48, 3.50) and social support (B = 1.07, 95% CI: 0.31, 1.83) were positively related to maternal responsiveness to the infant. Emotional support from a spouse was positively associated with responsiveness (B = 1.08, 95% CI: 0.12, 2.03 depressed; B = 2.96, 95% CI: 1.34, 4.58 non-depressed), and conflict with the spouse was negatively associated with responsiveness (B=-1.02, 95% CI: -1.94, -0.09 depressed; B=-2.87, 95% CI: -4.36, -1.37 non-depressed). However, social support was related to responsiveness only in non-depressed women (B = 2.61, 95% CI: 1.14, 4.07). While spousal relationships and social support enhance maternal responsiveness, for depressed women, spousal relationships were particularly critical. In considering maternal-infant interventions to improve child development outcomes, our study indicates the importance of supportive relationships that foster effective responsiveness.

Sociodemographic Correlates of Integrated Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Services Utilization Among Childbearing Mothers in Nigeria.

Background Some social and demographic factors might limit the ability of childbearing mothers (CBMs) to use healthcare services for themselves and their children, thereby exposing them to maternal, infant, and child morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to investigate the sociodemographic correlates of the utilization of integrated maternal, newborn, and child health (IMNCH) services by CBMs in Benue State, Nigeria. Methodology A community-based, correlational survey study was conducted among a random sample of 1,200 CBMs. Face-to-face interviews were conducted using a pretested, structured questionnaire, the Integrated Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Services Utilization Questionnaire (IMNCHSUQ), and study participants were chosen using a multistage sampling procedure. Of the IMNCHSUQ issued, only 896 copies had complete data, which were used for the analysis. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS version 25.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA). The data were evaluated using the mean, standard deviation, and point-biserial correlation, and the null hypotheses were tested using linear regression at the 0.05 level of significance. Results The majority of the CBMs were married (79.7%) and unemployed (66.0%) while the predominant age group was between 15 and 24 years (42.7%). CBMs had a high level of utilization of IMNCH services (x= 3.30, SD = 0.94). The sociodemographic factors studied had little or no influence on the utilization of IMNCH services among CBMs. The most significant demographic predictor was the place of residence. Marital status, educational level, parity, and age were also found to be significant predictors in a few services. Conclusions Uneven distribution of IMNCH centers may be a major cause of the failure of CBM's lack of utilization of IMNCH services, especially in rural settlements with sparse distribution of facilities.

Breast Care Education for Post-Partum Mothers with Ineffective Breastfeeding Nursing Problems

One of the problems that occurs after giving birth is a lack of knowledge about how to care for the breasts, resulting in a decrease in breast milk production. This scientific paper aims to provide breast care education for postpartum mothers with ineffective breastfeeding problems. Using a case study approach on two patients with ineffective breastfeeding problems at Poly GG Sam Husada Kediri on 15 – 17 March 2021. Data collection techniques include interviews, questionnaires, providing breast care education, and observation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively using the principles of nursing care management. Patients are given breast care education and evaluation for three days. Education was carried out for 3 days for client 1 and client 2, where on the first day the researcher provided education about breast care so that both clients understood how to carry out breast care correctly and appropriately. The researchers used the next 2 days to review the mother's knowledge of breast care and evaluate the mother's level of knowledge and ability to carry out breast care independently as well as the mother's ability to breastfeed effectively.
