A simple mathematical method which permits the development of new isotherms for adsorption on random heterogeneous solids from dilute nonelectrolyte solutions composed of molecules with different sizes is presented. The method is applied to extend the Temkin and the Langmuir-Freundlich isotherms to include size effects. The case of the Freundlich isotherm is also discussed.
