European component in the activities of the higher school of Ukraine in 1990s

In the article the problem of international cooperation in the higher education sphere is examined in 1990s, it is accented attention to the necessity of strengthening of this component as an important factor of integration of the national education system into global educational space and strengthening of it competitiveness at the market of educational services.
 An international component is analyzed in the activities of Ukrainian higher educational institutions, which has been rapidly developing since Ukraine gained independence. Especially noticeable was the rapprochement of Ukrainian higher education with European universities, international organizations, participation in the EU’s Tempus educational programs, UNESCO, and others.
 The international component in the activities of higher education in Ukraine in the 1990s. provided an opportunity to domestic universities to participate in mutually beneficial research projects with European partners, as well as to explore and creatively borrow the accumulated experience of organizing the educational process. It is pointed out to the minuses in the conduct of educational policy, namely, in the organization of the module-rating system of knowledge control, testing of graduates of schools, the transition to graduated training of students, etc.

BLENDED LEARNING AND SYSTEMATIC WORK OF STUDENTS

The use of blended learning for the biology students, which combines a module-rating system of learning with an e-training scheme, has proved to enhance the learning quality byencouraging systematic independent work of students.

Differentiated Approach to Learning in Higher Education

The relevance of this work is determined by the fact that due to the increasing demands for professional development of specialists it is necessary to apply such approaches to teaching so that students of all learning levels could fully understand the material. In order to create optimal learning conditions for students the use of a differentiated approach to the educational process is presented in the paper. For its realization the introduction of level differentiation and differentiated module-rating system was suggested.In this paper we define the conditions for the implementation of level differentiation, describe the developed training complex containing multilevel tasks, variants of control tests with a choice of difficulty levels. To assist the students to choose the difficulty level a web application was designed. Differentiated module-rating system is a modification of the rating system. It is distinguished by the method of counting ranking: at the end of the semester the student has a range of individual private ratings considered in the exam. Differentiated module-rating system allows them to get an idea of the level of learning the material under study and make the necessary adjustments.The introduction of a differentiated approach into the educational process helps to individualize the learning process of students, contributes to a more lasting and deeper acquiring of knowledge, the formation of positive motivation to learning, creation of a comfortable learning environment, building students’ self-esteem and making them more autonomous.

INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO THE ORGANIZATION EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Module-rating system of education is concerned as a new means of teaching at the University. It makes the traditional system of estimation more flexible and objective that impels students to systematic and active independent work.

An experience of application of the module-rating system in course of the physics for engineers

Organization foundations and methodical peculiarities of a new version of the module-rating system are presented in the article. The forming the semester plan-schedule of the training process, preparation of the working journal with accordance to a special elaborated form, and preparation of the materials for written current control for each study are key points of the proposed system.Methods of conducting the studies accordingly to the system proposed are determined by presence of the following. The first is writing form of semester examinations, and the second is connected with the increasing the role of self-reliant student work that is typical for the last trends of the Ministry of Education and Science. The system main idea is the modeling typical examination situation during every practical study. In time, the practical study consists of the two characteristic parts. This includes the control of theoretical training (in the form of a short written control work) and the oral defense of the home tasks. By this way the required conditions for rhythmical student work during semester are arranged.Experience of application of the proposed new version of the module-rating system showed its high efficiency

СИСТЕМА ПІДТРИМКИ ПРИЙНЯТТЯ РІШЕНЬ ЯК ІННОВАЦІЙНИЙ ІНСТРУМЕНТ ПІДВИЩЕННЯ ЕФЕКТИВНОСТІ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ ВИКЛАДАЧА ВИЩОГО НАВЧАЛЬНОГО ЗАКЛАДУ

Введення модульно-рейтингової системи оцінювання якості підготовки студентів вищого навчального закладу спричинило значне збільшення витрат часу викладача на виконання організаційної роботи. За таких обставин необхідно сприяти введенню в навчально-виховний процес не тільки програмного забезпечення, яке підвищує рівень засвоєння знань та навичок практичної діяльності студентів, але й додатки для забезпечення підвищення ефективності та комфортних умов діяльності викладача. Для вирішення цієї проблеми автором статті запропоновано систему підтримки прийняття рішень "Оцінка та системологічний аналіз якості підготовки фахівців сфери інженерії та технологій", головне призначення якої – це автоматизація рутинної праці викладача та забезпечення прийняття ним ефективних рішень.
