Социально-культурно-экономический процесс развития здорового образа жизни россиян: вклад визионеров П.И. Макушина и Н.С. Кузьмина

The study of the socio-cultural and economic process of developing a healthy lifestyle of modern Russians necessitates turning to the heritage of the visionaries of the past, covering cultural, educational, housing and everyday practices of pre-revolutionary and Soviet Russia. The methodological basis of the study was an interdisciplinary approach (political economic, philosophical, cultural), as well as the method of dialectical unity of knowledge of the processes of socio-cultural and economic development of society. The continuity of the main components of a person’s healthy lifestyle, his culture, including the forms of organizing cultural education, housing and everyday life, formed by different generations of Russians, is substantiated. The process of transforming pre-revolutionary people's houses (Tomsk people's house of P.I. Makushin) into Soviet and modern cultural houses and leisure centers is described. The significance and influence of the socio-economic experiment of implementing the idea of scientific organization of housing and life on the basis of complete socialization is shown - the project of the «Anzhero-Sudzhensky house-commune» by N.S. Kuzmina, (his other architectural projects) on the healthy lifestyle of modern Russians. Scientific novelty: for the first time, the experience of cultural, educational and housing practices of two Siberian personalities - entrepreneur P.I. Makushin and architect N.S. Kuzmin, which had an important influence on the formation and development of a healthy lifestyle of Russians in the past and present, the visionary nature of their content is revealed. The research findings can be used to form the cultural policies at both regional and federal levels to increase the level of socio-economic well-being of Russians and preserve cultural heritage visionaries.

Византийская идентичность как фактор формирования русской идентичности

The article examines the components of the complex concept of “Byzantine identity”. The relevance is based on the request of the modern Russian person in gaining a stable historical identity, establishing the boundaries of national identity. Understanding Byzantium as a civilization and its identity can help modern Russians understand the historical roots of their culture, see the connection between the past and the present, and find new ways to express their values. The article examines the view of philosophers and thinkers on Byzantium as a great civilization that firmly laid the foundations of Russian identity. K.N. Leontiev in his work points to the enormous role of Orthodoxy as a system-forming link of the Byzantine state, which defined the key concept of Byzantine identity. F.I. Uspensky provably asserts the leading role of Byzantium for the formation of Russian identity, discovering “Byzantinism” as a concept and describing the Byzantine “spiritual element” as a synthesis of Hellenism, Roman consciousness and Orthodoxy. N.Ya. Danilevsky proved the importance and regularity of the formation of Slavic culture as a special type of historical identity of the individual, asserted the advantages of the Slavic type, Slavic culture and spirituality over Catholicism. The Roman Empire and Roman citizenship, elements of Hellenic culture, and Orthodox Christianity served as the basis of Byzantine identity. The author comes to the conclusion that the Russian civilization borrowed from Byzantium a number of fundamental foundations of civilizational identity.

Когнитивный механизм мировоззренческих моделей: структура и принципы функционирования

The work is devoted to the little-studied problem of cognitive elements of worldview. The subject of analysis is the cognitive mechanism of functioning of worldview models. A theoretical and methodological construct for studying the dynamic states of various worldview models was developed, which was based on the functional directions of the philosophy of cognitive science and cognitive science. The goal is to identify predictors of dynamics (prognostic parameters of variables) that make it possible to predict trends in changes in worldview models. The structure of the cognitive mechanism of worldview models is described, the elements of which are cognitions - cognitive elements of consciousness, or mental processes of information processing. The empirical part of the study, devoted to testing the hypothesis about the principles of functioning of the cognitive mechanism of worldview models, made it possible to conduct a quantitative analysis of some parameters that are most susceptible to external influence. The result was the conceptualization of the cognitive mechanism of worldview models and the identification of criteria for its dynamics. It has been established that the functional cognitive-value mechanism is represented by a set of processes of perception, reception, representation and memory. It has been proven that parameters such as assessment of the surrounding world, assessment of threats and risks, personal control, and memory can become objects of influence on the worldview in order to change it. The results obtained made it possible to formulate the principles of cognitive technologies of consciousness control necessary to control destructive forms of behavior. The study was conducted with the financial support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation within the framework of the project “Cognitive and value structure of worldview models of modern Russians: generational and regional differences.”

Представления россиян о природе: ценностно-смысловой анализ (на примере Москвы и Московской области)

The relationship between man and nature is one of the key topics in the scientific and public discourse of our time. The authors of the article aim to analyze the ideas of modern Russians about nature. Within the frame-work of the work, a value-semantic analysis of the problems is carried out, the basis of which is the study of values related to nature, as well as semantic aspects of human-nature interaction. The results of the conducted sociological research indicate that the respondents have a certain degree of environmental consciousness, but also a certain degree of spiritual distance from nature. It is important to draw a research conclusion about the intergenerational continuity of ideas about nature, the absence of significant differences in these ideas be-tween men and women. Work is essential for the formations of ecological culture and decision-making for the conservation of our planet’s nature and public health.

The influence of methods of adding flaxseed flour on the quality indicators of rye bread

Modern Russians do not receive enough polyunsaturated fatty acids in their diet, as well as more than half the recommended dietary fiber intake. One of the sources of enriching the human diet with these nutrients can be flaxseed flour. The reason for the rare use of flaxseed flour in baking is the change in the taste and aroma of the finished product. Research to determine the method of adding flaxseed flour was carried out in the laboratory of baking and confectionery production of Vyatka State Technical University. Flax flour was added to bread in the form of sourdough mixed with rye flour, dough from flax flour, and dough from a mixture of flax and rye flour, as well as in dry form into the dough. Organoleptic and physico-chemical quality indicators of semi-finished and finished products were studied. Generally accepted research methods were used in the research. As a result, it has been found that flaxseed flour changes the taste and smell of rye bread to the least extent when it is fermented with yeast in a dough. Fermenting flaxseed flour together with rye flour does not result in the loss of flaxseed taste and aroma. It has been proved that preparing dough using flaxseed flour requires more water than preparing sourdough and dough from rye flour. Sourdough with the addition of flaxseed flour gains acidity faster. Bread with the addition of flaxseed flour in the form of dough is practically no different from the control variant. The crumb of such bread has an acidity of 9.0 degrees, moisture content of 49.9% and porosity of 49%. The tasting has shown that bread with the addition of flax dough among the studied samples scored the highest number of points and was as close as possible to the control version.

Представления о привлекательности мужского и женского тела и особенности полового диморфизма русских и бурят

The aim of the present study was to investigate sexual dimorphism of body parameters in modern Russians and Buryats, and to assess its association with preferences for male and female body traits in these populations. Sex and population differences in height, muscle and bone mass, fat deposition and hand grip strength were assessed using direct measurements in Buryats (N = 182, Ulan-Ude city, Buryatia) and Russians (N = 181, Tula city) (age: 17-26 years). Mate preferences for sexual dimorphism in body height, muscularity, physical strength and fat deposition in Buryats (N = 182) and Russians (N = 340) of the same age were assessed by a survey developed by the authors. The results revealed that modern Buryats have lower body height and lower body and muscle mass than Russians. However, Buryats demonstrated higher sexual dimorphism of bone and muscle mass. Russian women had higher fat deposition compared to Buryat women, which corresponded to Russian male preferences. Mate preferences for sexual dimorphism in muscularity and physical strength did not correspond to actual degrees of sex differences in these parameters either in Russians or Buryats. Our results suggest these traits are not directly associated with intersexual attractiveness, and were selected for in other selection processes leading to high sexual dimorphism. Our results also revealed population differences in the integral perception of the male body attractiveness: Russian women demonstrated preferences for a male “masculine complex”. In contrast, Buryat preferences for various body parameters were almost not correlated with each other. The results are discussed in line with evolutionary theory. The authors declare no conflicts of interests.

Identity and historical memory of Russians in the context of confrontation with the "collective West"

Basing on the data of long-term sociological research, the authors study the influence of the construct “collective West” on the civic identity and historical memory of modern Russian society and investigate the dynamics of these attitudes of public society under the influence of the international political situation. “Collective West” is considered as a stereotypical construct founded on Russian public opinion and political discourse. The authors identify three main approaches to the description of the “collective West”: socio-economic and political approaches, as well as the strategy of studying the organisation of private life. This allows us to correlate the features attributed to the discursively constructed “Other” with the ideas about the “collective West” actualized in the mass consciousness of modern Russians. The authors summarize that the Russian collective identity combines both traditional-self, Russian, and Western-liberal values. But Russians are unambiguous when it comes to the interpretation of historical memory: they acutely perceive the discrepancy between Russian and Western interpretations of the past.
 The “collective West” has acted for Russia not only as a traditional socio-cultural and civilizational “Other”, but also as geopolitical competitor. Hence this is the peculiarity of interpretations of past events and historical memory in Russia and abroad. The “perestroika inertia” of attempts to reconcile different versions of the past was replaced in the 2000s by a sharp anti-communist discourse of a number of Eastern European states, their “turn” to the West and Russia’s growing external isolation. This revitalized the conflict between the national historical narratives of Russia and Western countries, and this is very painful for Russian society today. Negative interpretation of the events of Soviet history, especially of the memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, is absolutely unacceptable for the Russian historical memory. Russian people react to the attempts to revise the traditional interpretations of Russian history with the demand for reliable historical knowledge. People attitude to preserve the established interpretation of national history is related not to the fear of decentralization tendencies, as it was in the 1990s, but to their desire to protect the history of their families and family memory.

Fifth Squad Cadets of the Tenth Accelerated Wartime Graduation, Pavlovsk Military School, 1916

The turbulent first decades of the XX century resulted in the fact that modern Russians know very little about their ancestors, their social status, occupation, education, etc. Sometimes the only source for numerous genealogical questions can be obtained from unidentified and undated faded photographs. The author made an attempt to identify the Pavlovsk Military School cadets of the Fifth Squad, graduates of the Tenth Accelerated Wartime Course, by their graduation photo made in 1916. The Pavlovsk Military School was one of the most prestigious military education institutions in the Russian Empire. The article contains biographical information and images of cadets whose personality the author managed to identify. Most of them chose the military path guided by the realities of the Great War. These people became witnesses and participants of revolutions, wars, emigration, repressions, and World War II. The research relied on federal and regional archives. The identity of the cadets was confirmed by archival photographs. This research proved that students’ files can be an important historical source. The publication may help to find the descendants of the cadets, as well as to attract the attention of scholars and local historians, and encourage active citizens to provide additional information about their personalities.

Common sense as identity health: toward a reflection on the russian-Ukrainian war

In the broadest sense, the purpose of the article can be defined as outlining the relationship between common sense and national identity in the context of the russian-Ukrainian war. The subject specificity emphasizes the problem of forming and nurturing the mental field of modern russians as a painful state of their identity: common sense as a marker of identity health. The article structurally reflects and develops the idea of the study of common sense as a phenomenon that affects the formation of identity, which was first presented in the study "Identity Security: from the Problems of Sectoral Definition to the Peculiarities of Didactic Definition" (ISBN: 978-617-7600-61-8). The methodological basis is the phenomenological guideline for direct study of the situation, which in this study is specified as a systematic analysis of experience that conveys value and political priorities. The authors propose three contexts of analysis – semantic, practical philosophy, and philosophy of knowledge – according to which they establish criteria for determining the state of health of identity. Concluding that it is important to constantly analyze the mental field of modern russians, the authors point out that this is a matter for a special research complex of human security. The conclusion is the thesis that the modern russian identity is "sick" with a worldview disease, and that its "treatment" must take place through the shared responsibility of all russians, through their repentance and rethinking. The key provisions of the article were developed in an ongoing discussion and academic dialog between the authors.

ИДЕЯ СОЦИАЛЬНОЙ СПРАВЕДЛИВОСТИ В СОВРЕМЕННОМ РОССИЙСКОМ ПРОСТРАНСТВЕ СИМВОЛИЧЕСКОГО ПОЛИТИЧЕСКОГО ДИСКУРСА

The article analyzes the understanding of the ideology of social justice in the public consciousness of modern Russians. The author shows that the understanding of justice may differ for various reasons. In the conditions of the current economic crisis, as well as the crisis in the socio-political sphere caused by the beginning of a special military operation in Ukraine, serious structural changes are taking place in modern Russian society. During the period of destabilization, it is of great importance to use the possibilities of ideology to strengthen the processes of social solidarity, integration, as well as to support the socio-political and economic changes implemented by the authorities. In modern political discourse, the appeal to the idea of social justice is becoming a popular and relevant concept, based on which politicians seek to justify the projects being implemented within the framework of social support for the population and economic support for needy groups of citizens. Social justice in the minds of Russians is mainly associated with justice in the sphere of earnings and wages, therefore, the growing property stratification of Russians as a result of the implemented socio-political course can have a significant impact on the public’s assessment of the fairness of the social structure. The growing property stratification will lead to an increase in social injustice and dissatisfaction of citizens with the socio-political course being implemented in Russia

Post-Soviet identity: integration resources

In the context of globalization, increased inter-regional competition, and acute information confrontation, the need for analysis of identity has become more relevant. Identity serves as a cognitive framework that shapes an individual’s social behavior, a coordinate system that allows individuals to adapt and creatively transform their surrounding reality, and a set of the most significant civic values such as solidarity and integration. This is particularly relevant for Russia considering its changing geopolitical position in the modern world. The authors of the article have examined the characteristics of post-Soviet identity as established in the scientific discourse. Expressions of spatial-territorial identity within the post-Soviet identity of modern Russians are analyzed based on scientific works and results of empirical research using the standard methodology of the All-Russian Research Program “Socio-Cultural Evolution of Russia and its Regions”. The authors concluded that the post-Soviet identity as a social construct possesses certain potential. Local-settlement identity prevails over the broader Russian and macro-political identity (within the scope of the article — identity among residents of the former USSR republics). About half of the respondents feel a connection with the people of their settlement. However, thirty years after the USSR’s collapse, a third of the respondents feel a connection with the residents of Russia and the former USSR republics, a third do not feel this connection, and a third are indifferent. This indicates that the All-Russian and post-Soviet space is an arena for acute ideological confrontation, with the possibility of any ideology prevailing, provided it proposes the most suitable goals, tasks, and means for the social system. To address the complex challenges facing Russia as a modern state, a new ideological project (without the prefix “post-” in the name) of spatial-territorial, national-civic identity is needed, shaping the individual as a subject of social development.

ФАКТОРЫ ТРАНСФОРМАЦИИ ТИПА ПОТРЕБЛЕНИЯ ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНЫХ УСЛУГ В СФЕРЕ ВЫСШЕГО ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ В СОВРЕМЕННОЙ РОССИИ

The article briefly describes a set of socio-technological, socio-managerial, socio-economic, socio-psychological factors that have triggered the change of the motives of the modern Russians' consumption behavior on the market of educational services in domestic higher education, such as: integration of advanced information and communication technologies into educational process, the change of conceptual approaches to the organization of the higher education system in favor of practice-oriented learning, the “obsolescence” of the content of educational programs of higher education, the decline of the quality of services offered on the Russian market of education for adults, the mismatch of consumer motives in the minds of the family acting as a collective participant on the market of educational services. The authors also set out their views on the vectors of further development of the market of services in the field of Russian higher education (the displacement of mentoring elements from the educational process in higher education; expanding the range of distance learning services; gamification of marketing strategies for promoting educational services in the youth audience; further integration of digital technologies into the organized educational process).

РОЛЬ СОВЕТСКОГО НАСЛЕДИЯ В СОВРЕМЕННЫХ ПОЛИТИЧЕСКИХ ПРОЦЕССАХ

The Soviet historical heritage is not only an instrument of state policy, but also a significant element of modern socio-political processes. Ideas about the Soviet national-state heritage are of great importance in shaping the political consciousness of modern Russians. Ideas about the Soviet national-state heritage are of great importance in shaping the value and worldview foundations of modern Russian identity. At present, in the scientific and public environment, there is an awareness of the need to ensure historical continuity and preserve memory based on the formation of common ideas about the Soviet past and its role in modern Russia. The state policy of memory constructs unifying meanings and narratives largely based on Soviet history and state-patriotic traditions. The Soviet legacy can be included in the construct of the value-political image of the future. Historical memory is one of the foundations for the consolidation of society in multi-ethnic and multi-confessional regions, leads to the unification of people of different generations and social strata, and has an important impact on the political processes of modern Russia. For a significant part of the population, Soviet values and social orientation, as well as the memory of the country's greatness on the world stage, are attractive landmarks that can become starting points for the project of the future.

Когнитивное моделирование спектров современного политического сознания россиян

The article presents the results of the author's research at the intersection of political and experimental psychology. The purpose of this study: experimental identification of the patterns of functioning of the political consciousness of modern Russians and the features of its influence on the extremist orientation of the individual to support and make appropriate management decisions. Based on a combination of existential and psychosemantic approaches, a model of political consciousness has been developed, which includes three levels. Particular attention is paid to the mental level of political consciousness, its further research is carried out in accordance with the realities in the political life of Russia. The resulting model is empirically verified with the help of a psychodiagnostic questionnaire "Cultural Code" specially developed for this task. The data obtained in the course of two experimental sections are analyzed using standard methods of mathematical statistics, as well as using the theory of fuzzy sets and simulation modeling. This makes it possible to build cognitive models of political consciousness and functional states of the subject. In particular, to model the state of a subject with an extremist ideology and an extremist personality orientation and the state of a subject with a positive ideology and a prosocial personality orientation. Further, the obtained results form the basis of a computational experiment. The results of the study confirm the relevance of the developed psychodiagnostic tools, constructed theoretical constructs and cognitive models. In the field of practical activities and prevention of socially dangerous behavior, this means the need for systematic and integrated work of state and public organizations aimed at strengthening the spectrum of traditionalism and patriotism in the political consciousness of modern Russians, and weakening radicalism and nationalism.

Are Russian Capitals Most Upgraded? (Paradoxes of Settlement Differentiation)

Differentiation of access security of Russians to information-cultural content and cultural characteristics of residents of different types of settlements is considered. Statistics 1970–2020s shows that the differences in the information and cultural infrastructure of various types of settlements were largely smoothed out (although not completely eliminated) in the late Soviet era. However, the absence of qualitative differences between different types of settlements in access to the main channels of constant broadcasting of information and cultural content is combined, according to sociological surveys organized by the Institute of Sociology of the Federal Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, with the preservation of culturally determined significant differences in the consumption of these contents. This is a factor in the reproduction of the differences between modern Russians living in different types of settlements in terms of adherence to different cultural values and attitudes. As expected, in accordance with the theories of urbanization and modernization, the urban population in Russia in the 21st century is somewhat more committed to the values of modern society (freedom, innovation, etc.) than the rural population. At the same time, the data of the all- Russian sociological survey conducted in 2021 showed strong differences depending on the type of urban settlement. The most advanced in terms of modernization are residents of cities with a population of 0.5–1.0 million people, i.e. far from the most urbanized settlements. Unexpectedly, the cultural values of the inhabitants of the two Russian capitals turned out, in terms of compliance with the norms of modern society, by no means the most advanced. An inverted U-shaped model of sociologically identifiable cultural settlement differences shows the incompleteness of cultural modernization in post-Soviet Russia, which forms the most important components of social capital.

Actual Tasks of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language

The article is devoted to the analysis of current tasks of modern linguodidactics in the sphere of teaching Russian as a foreign language (RaFL). As the main directions of its further improvement the author indicates effective systematization of speech material, adjustment of the linguistic component of training courses and coordination of educational resources, as well as enrichment of the content of the training base. Speech skills are an important component of the content of teaching Russian as a foreign language. In the process of mastering Russian, it is difficult for foreigners to differentiate speech patterns in accordance with different communication situations. Therefore, a condition of effective learning is the systematization of functionally authentic speech material, in other words the creation of a communicative fund. The author offers an effective method of speech means systematization which fully corresponds to the objectives of language teaching practice and is based on the consecutive description of communicative-pragmatic complexes. Communicative-pragmatic complex is understood as a block, combining speech acts similar in function with the corresponding intentions, communicative situations and speech models. When describing consistently systematically, the complex covers all basic stereotypical situations, in which a typical intention in speech practice is realized. As a rule, the communicative-pragmatic complex combines three or four typical communicative situations, reflecting the real communication in Russian. The article also emphasizes the need for a stricter alignment of lexical minimums with the norms of the corresponding levels of Russian language proficiency, the need to include more interesting texts about modern Russia, to show the attractive features of modern Russians - interest in education, sports, travel, healthy lifestyles, outdoor recreation, festivals of student songs, bard songs, etc.

Types of Higher Education Services Consumption in Russia: Transformation Factors in Focus

The paper briefly describes the composition of socio-technological, socio-managerial, socio-economic, socio-psychological factors that have influenced the change in the motives of purchasing behavior of modern Russians in the market of educational services in the field of higher education. In particular, the major focus is on the introduction of advanced information and communication technologies in the organized educational process. The study also considers (1) the change of conceptual approaches to the organization of the higher education system in favor of practice-oriented learning; (2) the “obsolescence” of the content of educational programs of higher education; (3) the decline in the quality of services offered on the Russian adult education market, and (4) the mismatch of consumer motives in the minds of the family acting as a collective participant in the educational services market. The author’s also present their expert views on the vectors of further development of the market of services in the field of Russian higher education.

ФОРМИРОВАНИЕ ДЕМОНСТРАТИВНОГО ПОТРЕБЛЕНИЯ В СОВЕТСКИЙ ПЕРИОД ИСТОРИИ РОССИЙСКОГО ОБЩЕСТВА

Objective of the study − analysis of the prerequisites for the formation of demonstrative consumption in modern Russian society that took place during the Soviet period of its development. Methodological basis of the research: a transdisciplinary scientific paradigm focused on overcoming disciplinary limitations and obtaining holistic scientific knowledge about the essence of demonstrative consumption in Russian society. Research result. The author traces the changes in the attitude to consumption and consumer behavior of the population from the pre-revolutionary period, when values and attitudes were dominant, genetically dating back to the ascetic socio-cultural code formed under the influence of the Orthodox religion, to the late Soviet one, characterized by the presence of double consumer standards among the mass stratum and representatives of the party-Soviet nomenclature. Showing how, in conditions of chronic commodity shortage, including artificially created, an association was formed between elite socio-status positions of the nomenclature and brand consumption, the author substantiates the rootedness of the practices of demonstrative consumption of modern Russians in the realities of the Soviet period with its double standards of consumption and ambivalent attitude to the official ideology that promoted household asceticism and labor ethos on the based on the reformatted traditional socio-cultural code.   Prospects of the study connected with the further study of demonstrative consumption in Russian society, especially in the era of global geopolitical transformations and sanctions policy, which entail the transformation of consumer behavior not only in Russian society, but throughout the world.

A Comparativistic Analysis of the Transformation of Alimentary Aspect of the Other’s Image: 2018-2022

The study focuses on the transformation of the alimentary models of the imaginative Other. Based on the statistics of the Russian Internet queries, the authors identified a number of markers, determining the main alimentary models of the Other. They carried out a comparative analysis of the obtained in 2018-2019 (pre-Сovid-19) models with similar Post-Covid models for 2021-2022. The researchers' hypothesis is that the queries can reveal the attitude of the modern Russians to the Other, determine the criteria by which the images are formed and the factors, affecting their transformation.
 The study showed that interest in the Other’s food is unstable. The number of queries constantly fluctuates. Both external factors (geopolitical, etc.) and contact with the objects of foreign mass culture can influence the growth of interests. At the same time, all markers (and stereotypes) can be conditionally divided into two groups: stable (fixed for several years), and situational, determined by external factors.
 The long-term analysis allowed the authors to trace the increased relevance of a number of cannibalistic markers in the image of the Other, the main reason for which, according to the researchers, was the pandemic, and the subsequent decline of interest in them in 2022.
 We should also mention the growing interest in video content (mukbang) In our view, this interest may be indicative of the observer's desire to transcend cultural boundaries and interact more closely with the Other. It is also particularly curious that this interest is directed toward the most alert models of the Other.

The Value of Work for Modern Russians (Based on The Results of Cross-Cultural Research)

The publication is devoted to the analysis of the perception of work as a value in the value consciousness of modern Russians. The method for obtaining empirical data is a secondary analysis of information, including thematic normative documents (legislative acts of the Russian Federation), sociological research, statistical materials, the results of cross-cultural studies of the World Values Survey project for the period from 1990 to 2020. (waves, including data for Russia), etc. The impetus for the author's study of this issue was the immersion of Russia in the «pandemic reality» of COVID-19, the state of the labor market in modern Russia, the problems experienced by the population in the process of employment, training, retraining, and implementation their functions in labor activity. The specifics of the labor activity of modern Russians during the pandemic were taken into account; involvement of the employed population in digitalization processes. The hypothesis of the research is that work as a value is in the «core» of the status-hierarchical structure of the value consciousness of the able-bodied population of Russia. In the course of the research, one of the important tasks was to analyze the dynamics of the indicator “work as a value” in various age groups of Russians for the period from 1990 to 2020. The practical significance of work: identifying factors that influence the importance of the value of work in the minds of Russians. The scientific novelty of the publication is the use of the results of cross-cultural research to form conclusions, comparison of sociological and statistical data. Scope of the results: the main findings of the study can be used to innovate training courses on the sociology of social groups, sociology of professions, and axiology.
