Biomass-derived mulberry porous carbon for microwave absorption

In modern electronic devices and communication systems, there is an urgent need for economically viable, environmentally friendly, and efficient absorbing materials. In this work, we have successfully synthesized nitrogen-potassium doped mulberry porous carbon (MBPC) using a one-step pyrolysis strategy for the first time utilizing mulberry as a biomass carbon wave-absorbing material. The resulting MBPC exhibited a porous structure with abundant defects, facilitating the formation of a micro-conductive network and multiple reflection and scattering phenomena, thereby enabling strong microwave absorption. Experimental results demonstrated that the MBPC material achieved a remarkable minimum reflection loss of −44.82 dB at a frequency of 14.64 GHz, along with a maximum effective absorption bandwidth exceeding 5.76 GHz, all within a thickness of only 2.2 mm. Furthermore, by adjusting the thickness between 1 ∼ 3 mm, the bandwidth coverage can be extended to 8.48 ∼ 18 GHz. Computer simulation technology (CST) revealed a high simulated RCS value of 20.68 dB·m2, highlighting its significant practical application potential. This research underscores the promising prospects of mulberry-derived porous carbon as a lightweight, cost-effective, and efficient electromagnetic absorption material.

Advances in Bioelectrode Design for Developing Electrochemical Biosensors.

The critical performance factors such as selectivity, sensitivity, operational and storage stability, and response time of electrochemical biosensors are governed mainly by the function of their key component, the bioelectrode. Suitable design and fabrication strategies of the bioelectrode interface are essential for realizing the requisite performance of the biosensors for their practical utility. A multifaceted attempt to achieve this goal is visible from the vast literature exploring effective strategies for preparing, immobilizing, and stabilizing biorecognition elements on the electrode surface and efficient transduction of biochemical signals into electrical ones (i.e., current, voltage, and impedance) through the bioelectrode interface with the aid of advanced materials and techniques. The commercial success of biosensors in modern society is also increasingly influenced by their size (and hence portability), multiplexing capability, and coupling in the interface of the wireless communication technology, which facilitates quick data transfer and linked decision-making processes in real-time in different areas such as healthcare, agriculture, food, and environmental applications. Therefore, fabrication of the bioelectrode involves careful selection and control of several parameters, including biorecognition elements, electrode materials, shape and size of the electrode, detection principles, and various fabrication strategies, including microscale and printing technologies. This review discusses recent trends in bioelectrode designs and fabrications for developing electrochemical biosensors. The discussions have been delineated into the types of biorecognition elements and their immobilization strategies, signal transduction approaches, commonly used advanced materials for electrode fabrication and techniques for fabricating the bioelectrodes, and device integration with modern electronic communication technology for developing electrochemical biosensors of commercial interest.

Accounting paradigm in application conditions of electronic information technologies

Introduction. The widespread introduction of modern electronic information and communication technologies into the economy requires a rethinking of the theoretical foundations of accounting. The current accounting methodology, based on the documentation of economic transactions, their reflection on accounts by double entry, balance sheet summarization, was initiated several centuries ago. With the development of automated systems, the latest information technologies for the formation, processing and transmission of information, there is a need of developing of a new accounting paradigm that would reflect not only the new information requests of a wide range of information consumers, but also take into account radical changes in accounting techniques.Purpose. The purpose of the study is to generalize the existing developments regarding the paradigmatic development of accounting science and to provide proposals for the development of a new accounting paradigm, based on modern information and communication technologies, the new role of accounting as an important economic institution.Methods. General scientific and empirical methods of knowledge and generalization of past and present processes and phenomena are used to reveal the purpose of the article.\Results. The existing developments regarding the paradigmatic development of accounting science are summarized. The main features and criteria of each stage of accounting development are defined. The need for the formation of a new accounting paradigm based on the current circumstances in the world economy and society is substantiated. The main criteria that characterize the modern accounting paradigm and distinguish it from the previous ones are the new purpose and tasks of accounting, the introduction of intellectual resources into the accounting system, new approaches to resource assessment. However, the development and introduction of electronic accounting and information systems, which have a significant impact on the methodological and organizational foundations of accounting, collection, registration, processing, storage and transmission of accounting and reporting information, can be considered the main factor in the change of the accounting paradigm.Perspectives. Further research can be aimed at improving methodological, organizational and technical tools for the practical implementation of a new accounting paradigm based on modern electronic accounting and information systems.

Analytical model OFDM-MIMO signal in a radio channel with frequency-time selective fading

One of the main problems in modern wireless electronic communication networks is the transmission and reception of signals in multipath propagation. Due to the imperfect impulse response of the communication channel, frequency-selective fading of the transmitted signal occurs. This can cause waveform distortion and inter-symbol interference, which can seriously degrade the performance of the communication system. Thus, increasing the noise immunity of wireless electronic communication networks in real-world conditions is one of the most important tasks of modern communication technologies. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is known for its resistance to multipath fading and is used to reduce the impact of inter-symbol interference. Multi-antenna systems are a key technology for increasing bandwidth and improving communication reliability. The combination of these two technologies in wireless electronic communication networks can reduce the impact of negative phenomena on the transmitted signal in difficult interference conditions. An analytical model of the signal transmitted by a nonstationary frequency-selective radio channel in a wireless electronic communication network with orthogonal frequency multiplexing and a multi-antenna system is proposed. Analytical expressions are presented that allow us to jointly take into account the influence of interchannel and inter-symbol interference (the effect of multipath signal propagation and Doppler shift on the transmitted signal) against the background of fluctuating noise. Taking into account the factors affecting the transmitted signal makes it possible to bring the model closer to the real processes that occur in the vast majority of radio channels of wireless electronic communication networks.

Dialogue as Text Containing Emoticons: Jurislinguistic Approach

The article considers dialogues containing emoticons, which have become case materials of various lawsuits. The key problems for legal linguistics related to the functioning of texts containing emoticons in modern electronic communication are considered: verbalization of emoticons, including online verbalization with the help of specialized emoji-translators, and their interpretation and lexicography. Basing on the considered court cases, the problem of similarity between the text, which includes emoticons, and the verbalized text, which does not contain pictograms, is also formulated. Basing on the analysis of pictogram texts, as well as messages containing emoticons, it has been concluded that the similarity between text with pictographic elements and text that does not contain emoticons can be represented to various degree. Three options are possible: 1) the presence of complete similarity (identity) between the text containing emoticons and the text, which is its exact verbalization; 2) the presence of partial similarity between text with emoticons and text without pictographic elements; 3) lack of similarity between text with emoticons and text without pictographic elements. The degree of similarity between texts arises from the phenomena of polysemy, homonymy and synonymy. The appearance of new meanings in the emoticon leads to the development of synonymy between pictograms, and ultimately to the synonymy of message texts. The homonymy of emoticons can be culture determined, and can also be associated with the broadening and narrowing of the communicative context of the situation from the position of the addresser and addressee of the message. Between the text containing emoticons and the text in which there are no emoticons, there may be a dictum similarity (identity), but at the same time accompanied by mode differences. Thus, the degree of similarity between a text containing emoticons and a verbalized text is determined both ontologically, i.e. by the very use of signs, which are characterized by the presence of multifaceted relationships, and epistemologically, i.e. depends on the social, psychological traits, characteristics and attitudes of persons entering into communication.

Recent advances in electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding textiles: A comprehensive review

The rapid growth of 5 G wireless networks and modern electronic communication equipment has resulted in electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radiation pollution which led to the detrimental effects on sensitive precision electronics and on human health. A substantial amount of research has been done to develop efficient products for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. In this concern, electromagnetic interference shielding textiles have gained huge attention to protect human beings from these radiations. This review gives an overview of the basic introduction of conductive textiles, effects of electromagnetic radiation, EMI shielding mechanisms, and factors that are responsible for EMI shielding. The synthesis and characterization of conductive inks and advanced materials which are utilized for EMI shielding textiles are discussed in detail. Metals, conductive polymers, and carbon-based materials have gained huge intention to develop EMI shielding textiles. Moreover, the dominant mechanism of shielding, frequency range, and conductivity of materials has also been discussed. On the basis of our comprehensive analysis the outlooks for future research are also discussed.

The article analyzes the process of virtual self-identification of young people using modern electronic communication technologies by various scientific methods. Modern technologies not only work, but also change a person from the inside, without his values, cognitive programs and functional structures. In this sense, it is important to understand how the characteristics of young people are most actively changing under the influence of mixed reality, affecting the personality, changing the nature of activities and personality structures. The article uses a holistic approach to the problem aimed at a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon of self-identification in the modern world and changes in the analysis of words. The novelty of this research lies in the study and analysis of the processes of formation and development of virtual characteristics of young people. The importance of the work lies in the fact that the level of education and development strategies of young people who already communicate in completely different worlds can be changed. The success of personal self-determination largely depends on a person's ability to think.

File Storage on Cloud Using Cryptography

Abstract: Hybrid cryptography is implemented to provide the multilevel of encryption and decryption at both sender and receiver side which increase the security of the cloud storage. This security model gives the transparency to the cloud user. The hybrid encryption algorithm combines the advantages of fast encryption speed of AES algorithm, easy management of RSA algorithm key, and digital signature to ensure the secure transmission of confidential documents. Data/information is the most valuable asset for the modern electronic communication system. Securing data or information has become a challenge in this competitive world. There are many techniques for securing data/information such as cryptography, stenography etc. In this paper, hybrid cryptography has been applied using AES and RSA.AES and RSA algorithms are implemented to provide the multilevel of encryption and decryption at both sender and receiver side which increase the security of the cloud storage. This approach provides transparency to the cloud user as wellas cloud service provider in order to reduce the security threats. The proposed model is implemented in C and .NET. Data security is increased up to a maximum extent and it takes less time in uploading and downloading the text file as compare to existing system. Impressive and accurate solutions to the generalized Fokas-Lenells model

In this article, we utilize the generalized full nonlinearity perturbed complex Fokas-Lenells model (GFLM) which is a general dynamics representation of modern electronic communications "Internet blogs, Facebook communication and Twitter comments". The modified simple equation method (MSEM) has been applied effectively to generate closed form solution. On the other hand, the Riccati-Bernoulli Sub-ODE method (RPSOM) which reduces the steps of calculation has been applied perfectly to achieve accurate solution to this equation. We established the solutions achieved by these distinct manners in same vein and parallel.

Cooperation Between a Doctor and a Podiatrist to Improve the Quality of Life of Patients with Ingrown Toenails

Abstract Cooperation between doctors of various specialties and other medical specialists is the standard of care in the treatment of patients. Due to the variety of diseases and the dynamic development of medicine in general, it is difficult to be an expert in every field and know all the recommended treatments. An example of such cooperation is the joint treatment of patients with the problem of ingrown toenails. The article contains an analysis of patients who received treatment in a doctor’s office in cooperation with podiatrists. A conservative approach towards the treatment of this condition sees the patient being initially diagnosed and treated by a podiatrist and then later, if necessary, being referred to a doctor for surgical treatment. The exchange of experiences and information on patients treated by interdisciplinary teams allows doctors and podiatrists to find the best possible treatment and improve the quality of life of patients. The follow-up of patients after surgery can be performed later in podiatry offices. Owing to modern electronic communication, it is possible for a doctor to constantly monitor the patient’s condition without the need for direct visits to the doctor’s office.

Design and Implementation of Efficient MOSFET’s Utilization Based Proposed Voltage Controlled Oscillator

Ring oscillator is a device which consists of NOT gates connected in the form of ring. This ring oscillator’s output oscillates between the true and false stages controlled by applied voltage. Now days this voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) becomes the heart of modern electronic devices and communication systems. Earlier five-stage complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) based VCO for the Phase Locked Loop (PLL) was implemented. High frequency oscillations are required for many applications and further it is observed that a very general technique is normally adopted by researchers to achieve high frequency that if number of transistors is increased then the frequency can be increased. But the consequences of increase in number of transistors are the increase in delay and more number of MOSFET occupies more area and more power dissipation. So, in this paper VCO is designed with efficient utilization of MOSFETs. There is a balance between frequency and number of transistors, so that the area and power dissipation can be reduced. From the obtained results it can observed that the number of MOSFET’s, Independent Nodes, boundary nodes total nodes and power are reduced compared to five stage VCO and VCO based Ring oscillator.

New algorithms for providing safe food raw materials: lessons from the pandemic

The food crises of the 21st century are characterized by the presence of multidirectional obstacles of a socio-economic and organizational nature in the structure of international relations that function on the problems of maintaining a wide range of export-import supplies of raw and related resources. This situation is caused by the specifics of the international epidemiological situation with the widespread incidence of COVID-19, which leads to the adoption of extraordinary measures to counteract the further aggravation of this situation. Additional factors in the formation of food crises are the complication of the full functioning of natural-artificial aggregates of elements that make up the system of agro-industrial production, formed within the framework of national socio-economic systems, as well as in the structure of international food production and consumer relations. The main means of overcoming these crises consist in the development and further implementation of rational resource-saving technologies for the functioning of the agro-industrial complex with the extraction of various components from the environment, subject to the minimum possible negative impact on it. Thus, the most important ways to overcome the food crises, which are aggravated by the spread of COVID-19, are the sustainable partnership of state management structures and representatives of the private sector of the economy through modern electronic and digital communications in the development of advanced resource-saving technologies for the production of high-quality food, providing comprehensive public-private financial support for the production of high-quality food, as well as comprehensive compliance with epidemiological safety standards.

ANALYSIS OF TELECOMMUNICATION CHANNEL SPECTRAL CHARACTERISTICS WITH BLOCK CODING AT A CONSTANT SPEED OF THE MESSAGE SOURCE

Background. The direction of development of modern electronic communication systems tends to increase the speed of information transmission. In turn, increasing the speed requires the use of additional resources of the communication channel and tools to maintain the specified reliability of the transmission under limited conditions. But resources are not free. That is why there is a need to establish a relationship between the conditions for reliable transmission in high-speed channels and the spectral and energy parameters of the information transmission system.
 Objective. The purpose of the paper is to analyse and describe the effect of block noise-tolerant coding on the rate of transmission of symbols in the communication channel while ensuring the required reliability of information transmission at a constant speed of the message source by increasing the frequency involved.
 Methods. The initial stage of the study is the presentation of system parameters in case of inaccurate transmission. Then a block redundant code is synthesized, which ensures the reliability of information transmission and the procedure of spreading the spectrum at a fixed speed of the message source is performed.
 Results. Recommendations on the method of selecting coding parameters in the procedure of spreading the spectrum and provided that the speed of the message source is constant are formed.
 Conclusions. Analysis of the possibilities of noise-tolerant coding at different energies of the communication channel under conditions of increasing the channel transmission rate at a fixed speed of the message source.

Complex vector fitting toolbox: a software package for the modelling and simulation of general linear and passive baseband systems

Complex vector fitting (CVF) is a robust method to efficiently and accurately model general linear and passive baseband systems. Such models are important for the analysis and design of modern electronic and optical communication systems. This letter introduces an efficient toolbox implementation of the CVF algorithm. The effectiveness of the code is illustrated on a suitable application example.

The Role of Management and Teamwork in Helping the Internal Auditor to Cope with IT Environment

Purpose: This paper’s aim is to identify the role of forming teamwork and managing the spirit of one work among the internal audit auditor's team through the use of modern electronic communication tools. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study relied on primary sources represented by reference books, relationship to internal auditing and research and reports, relationship to teamwork and the role of management in assisting the internal auditor to keep pace with IT requirements. Findings: The need for employees from several disciplines has clear importance in information security and appropriate training and planning for employees in the field of information technology. Originality/Value: There are no previous studies - based on the researcher's knowledge - based on defining the role of management and determining the importance of teamwork in helping the internal auditor to keep pace with the information technology requirements related to the work of internal auditing.

Amidst the development of various manifestations of modern electronic culture, security, communication, and ethics issues are acquiring new features and actualization. An objective of the research is a theoretical analysis of the issues of information ethics in the information and communication environment and threats to existential security. The features of the development of information ethics in electronic culture, associated with a high level of liberalism, utilitarianism, as well as antinomy in solving the problem of freedom and security in the digital environment are revealed. Some ethical issues of virtual communication in the “human-human” and “human-AI” systems are disclosed, the main risks in this area are systematized.

Promising areas for improving the education system, and with the advent of coronavirus online mode has become critical in education, in this regard are at home. Schools have started using Zoom software, and the role of the modular learning environment has grown significantly. At the same time, many problems were identified, such as the lack of Internet access for students from rural areas or disadvantaged families, which has become an obstacle to learning and access to educational materials. In response, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has made a number of recommendations for distance learning. Modern distance education is an extensive system of knowledge transfer at a distance using various tools and technologies, the result of which is the receipt by users of the necessary information for its successful implementation in practice. There are a variety of ways to disseminate knowledge today: mailing books, writing assignments, audio and video discs, telephone consultations, and virtually limitless possibilities of the World Wide Web. The use of distance learning methods allows to provide educational services of various kinds in remote areas, to teach without interruption from the main activity, to teach people with disabilities, to have access to educational resources of the world through the use of modern electronic communications. In today's world, education plays a key role in people's lives, which makes it necessary to constantly develop teaching methods, including distance learning. The coronavirus pandemic has revealed many shortcomings of distance education, as well as the absolute unpreparedness of students and educational institutions for this form of education. That is why it is important to develop this industry now in order to further provide comfortable education for both Ukrainian and foreign students and to ensure that in the future the education system will be ready for situations similar to the coronavirus pandemic. The article is written to assess the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning, its necessity, analysis of the requirements for distance learning materials. Prospects of technologies of multimedia representation of researched objects, processes, phenomena, adequate modeling of the subject area, and their realization.

OVERVIEW OF WORKING CONDITIONS ON EMPLOYMENT PLATFORMS. REPORT FOR THE EUROPEAN UNION

Employment platforms are a new and rapidly growing form of employment. Its specificity is based on modern electronic communication technology. Due to the digitization of the labor market, it is possible to establish and use without legal restrictions unregulated factual links between the provision of work-based services. The conditions of employment on platforms that are not controlled by established labour standards pose a real challenge to the generally binding rules of labour law in the common EU market. The author analyzes the challenges arising from the fourth industrial revolution in the report on employment conditions on work platforms presented to the European Union in 2020.

Value‐added weather advisories for small‐scale farmers in South Africa delivered via mobile apps*

AbstractMaize, the staple crop of Southern Africa, is dependent on the highly variable summer rainfall, especially the start of the rainy season. Every growing season, farmers decide about when to plant their crops. Agrometeorologists use climate and weather information to assist such decisions and engage farmers and other stakeholders to fill gaps in the relevant information. Modern electronic communication technologies can distribute real‐time information pertinent to the farmers' current situation. The Rain for Africa consortium developed a mobile phone app, AgriCloud, giving updated information on a daily basis to extensionists and small‐scale farmers. AgriCloud advisories are for a specific location in a selected local language on an android phone. AgriCloud has enabled farmers to use rainfall in a more sustainable way as they plan land preparation and planting according to weather forecasts for their own farm. Advantages are that users eagerly obtain daily updates with farming‐relevant advice, in their own local language on their own phone in their hands. AgriCloud includes the unique aspect of crowdsourcing to collect qualitative weather observations from users. AgriCloud mobile app is used to access integrated information from current short‐term forecasts regarding maize planting recommendations by farmers for their specific farm location.

Text-to-speech synthesis as an alternative communication means after total laryngectomy.

Total laryngectomy still plays an essential part in the treatment of laryngeal cancer and loss of voice is the most feared consequence of the surgery. Commonly used rehabilitation methods include esophageal voice, electrolarynx, and implantation of voice prosthesis. In this paper we focus on a new perspective of vocal rehabilitation utilizing alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) methods. 61 consecutive patients treated by means of total laryngectomy with or w/o voice prosthesis implantation were included in the study. All were offered voice banking and personalized speech synthesis (PSS). They had to voluntarily express their willingness to participate and to prove the ability to use modern electronic communication devices. Of 30 patients fulfilling the study criteria, only 18 completed voice recording sufficient for voice reconstruction and synthesis. Eventually, only 7 patients started to use this AAC technology during the early postoperative period. The frequency and total usage time of the device gradually decreased. Currently, only 6 patients are active users of the technology. The influence of communication with the surrounding world on the quality of life of patients after total laryngectomy is unquestionable. The possibility of using the spoken word with the patient's personalized voice is an indisputable advantage. Such a form of voice rehabilitation should be offered to all patients who are deemed eligible.
