AONN+ Navigation Metrics That Support the Oncology Navigation Standards of Professional Practice

ObjectivesTo offer a comprehensive overview of the critical elements contributing to the achievements of oncology navigation, address challenges in standardized implementation, and examine recent advancements influencing the acknowledgment and reimbursement of navigation services. Lastly, the AONN+ 35 evidence-based navigation metrics will be shared, emphasizing the five core metrics that should be utilized by all navigation models in all settings. MethodsEmployed in this review involves synthesizing information from established oncology organizations, documenting the development of navigator professional standards of practice and navigation metrics that measure patient experience, clinical outcomes, and return on investment, and analyzing outcomes from national studies and collaborations to present a summary of advancements in oncology navigation. ResultsThe key components vital for ensuring the enduring success of programs encompass the core competencies of navigators, adherence to standards of navigation practice set by the Professional Oncology Navigation Taskforce, and the establishment of well-defined metrics specific to oncology navigation. ConclusionsDespite these advancements, challenges persist in implementing and recognizing the newly defined standards and metrics. Effective solutions involve aligning navigation programs with leadership, integrating standards into daily practice, defining navigator roles, measuring navigation program outcomes through defined metrics, and leveraging certifications. Standardized measurement and practice are imperative for national policy development and reimbursement models, aligning with the Cancer Moonshot's goal of high-quality, patient-centered, and cost-effective cancer care. Implications for Nursing PracticeTo contribute to standardizing measurement and practice in oncology navigation for national policy development and reimbursement models.

COMPOSITION OF SOCIAL INSURANCE COSTS AND GUIDELINES FOR EFFECTIVE USE

The article explores the financial analysis of Uzbekistan's social insurance system, encompassing economic-statistical analyses of different social insurance types and the results of pension and allowance disbursement software. It discusses the rise in recipients of social benefits and material assistance for low-income families, along with their financial sources. The implementation of the social insurance system necessitates financial resources, making social funds integral to economic mechanisms for income redistribution. These funds, whether state or non-state, depend on factors like the national economic development model. Acknowledging their role in financial relations, social funds have a specific financial purpose, crucial in priority areas. Ongoing research focuses on effective organization and financing of the social protection system, emphasizing the development of voluntary and mandatory medical insurance, improving unemployment benefit procedures, and enhancing pension system stability. Recent initiatives in Uzbekistan include the revision of pension procedures, fundamental pension system reform, laws on compulsory health insurance, and the development of the "Law on Social Insurance." Scientific research aims to strengthen social protection for specific groups and enhance the existing social insurance system.

Spatiotemporal evolution of healthcare service capacity at township health centers in China.

This study analyzes the efficiency, spatiotemporal evolution, and influencing factors of provincial township health centers' healthcare service capacity in China. It utilizes an unexpected output super-efficiency slacks-based measure (SBM) model, exploratory spatiotemporal data analysis methods, and a quantile regression model. The results show that the healthcare service capacity of township health centers is better in provinces with a larger proportion of hierarchical diagnoses and treatments pilot projects in cities, and the regional efficiency trend is ordered central > eastern > western > northeastern. The healthcare service capacity of provincial township health centers mainly shows significant spatial correlation and a spatiotemporal distribution pattern of "high agglomeration, low differentiation." Rural population density and per capita GDP significantly improve the healthcare service capacity of township health centers, while local governments' healthcare and health expenditure increases the healthcare service capacity of township health centers in certain quantiles. The urbanization rate and per capita disposable income inhibit the improvement of the healthcare service capacity of township health centers in certain quantiles. The provinces should accelerate the promotion of hierarchical diagnoses and treatment pilot projects in cities and establish national cooperative development models to promote public health.

Analysis of Country Economic Growth Based on Industries Chain Position

In contrast to the past, the trade behavior of countries has become increasingly intricate, encompassing domestic trade rooted in local markets, traditional trade centered on final exports, and value chain trade reliant on intermediate goods. To tailor their strategies to their unique circumstances, nations judiciously allocate their economic focal points across these three trade modalities, engendering distinct national development models. By discerning the varying emphases placed by countries on these three trade modes, this paper employs clustering techniques to extract and analyze divergent national development models. Additionally, this paper assesses countries’ performance in various trade activities and introduces a new indicator, Total Trade Ability (TTA), to examine the impact of these models on the economy. With our approach, one can easily distinguish how different countries develop their economies. Our findings indicate a strong correlation between economic growth and TTA. In general, countries with higher TTA tend to exhibit higher economic growth.

Green imperialism, sovereignty, and the quest for national development in the Congo

ABSTRACT This article deploys the term ‘green imperialism’ to denote the specificities of contemporary imperialism within the context of the hoped-for global transition towards low-carbon capitalist economies and societies in the coming decades. The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) provides a modern exemplar of green imperialist dynamics in action. Hegemonic powers are seeking to position the Congolese economy as an exporter of low-cost, low-carbon metals and an open market for the entry of renewable energy finance and technologies. To date, the political response to green imperialism in the DRC has reproduced a model of mining-led national development that historically has delivered little by way of material improvements for most of the population, thus undermining the prospects of prosperity in the country. Albeit this time around there is the possibility of expanded access for some to renewable forms of energy as a foreign-owned private commodity, with all the limitations and contradictions this new model of energy delivery entails.

Tracing and excavating critical paths and sectors for embodied energy consumption in global supply chains: A case study of China

Rationally control total energy consumption can help China achieve carbon peaking at a lower peak level, and lay the foundation for achieving carbon neutrality. To improve the pertinence of energy consumption control policies' formulation, we traced the China’ embodied energy consumption in global supply chains, and excavated corresponding critical paths and sectors with higher embodied energy consumption, based on critical path and sector extraction framework. The results show that critical paths extracted by China's domestic, export-based and import-based embodied energy consumption were significantly different, due to the different needs of national development and different foreign trade models. While critical sectors were concentrated on heavy manufacturing and energy related sectors unitedly. Based on the global supply chains, China's embodied energy consumption for domestic demands has a major portion of its total, whose critical paths involved in production layers were all China's sectors. This is fundamental and controllable to develop policies aim more at these sectors and paths to control energy consumption. By excavating China's paths and sectors with high energy consumptions as the starts of formulation, policies and implications are given for controlling China's energy consumption, which may improve the precision and effectiveness of policy making.

Social reproduction in crisis: Gendered labour regimes in agro‐export sectors in Ecuador and Chile

AbstractThe pandemic lays bare the centrality of social reproduction in upholding global commodity networks. Capitalism's reliance on gendered and racialized systems of social reproduction has deepened structural contradictions and socio‐economic divides across agro‐export sectors and agrarian communities. We analyse how COVID‐19 policies and responses in Ecuador and Chile are reshaping systems of social and labour protection in feminized agro‐export sectors. We integrate labour regime and gender regime frameworks, showing how they are (1) co‐constituted via global forces, national policies, institutional pressures and local practices; (2) intertwined in neoliberal and social‐democratic development models; and (3) forged through control, consent and resistance. We analyse national legal frameworks and policy responses to COVID‐19, as well as industry, union and worker reactions, illustrating how ‘neutral’ policies have gendered outcomes, (re)creating false binaries between production and reproduction and paid and unpaid work. We find that the pandemic has reshaped gendered labour regimes in agro‐exports: in Ecuador, undermining the fragile commitment to a social‐democratic gendered labour regime and in Chile, strengthening social‐democratic supports and promises of a more equitable gendered labour regime. In both cases, states and firms have neglected to include social reproduction in the ‘costs’ of development, thus threatening national development models grounded in the exploitation of cheap female labour in agro‐export sectors.

The budgetary mechanism of the national economic development model: Political aspects

The main objective of the article was to study the legal and economic aspects of the formation of the budgetary mechanism of the national model of economic development. It is possible to ensure the dynamic processes of economic development of Ukraine only through effective regionalization, which significantly increases the requirements for the formation and use of the financial potential of the regions, which requires the development of strategic priorities for public financial management of the region as a whole. The research methodology involved the use of modern theoretical methods of analysis within the framework of dialectics. As a result of the analysis, the key aspects of the budgetary mechanism of the national model of economic development in Ukraine were characterized. It is concluded that, the study has a number of limitations in conducting a purely theoretical analysis. Further research should be devoted to the examination of digital technologies for the formation of the budget mechanism of the national model of economic development, among other aspects.

Perspectives on Russia, the USA, and the EU's Power Struggle in the Ukraine Crisis and Vietnam's Neutrality

Europe's worst political disaster since the Cold War was Ukraine's crisis from 2013 to Russia's full‐scale war on 24 February 2022. War? The choice of a national development model, cultural conflicts, and regional identities in Ukraine are internal causes. At the same time, competition for influence between great powers such as Russia, the USA, and the EU in Ukraine are external. Vietnam is similar to Ukraine, but it has taken a neutral stance in this crisis and called for peace talks. Why does Vietnam not choose a party but rather remain neutral with significant actors? This analysis answers those questions using qualitative methods, content analysis, and quantitative comparison. Balancing superpower strategic competition is a small lesson for an average country like Vietnam living next to a great power. However, this strategic balance is necessary to preserve national sovereignty and interests.

Peti Koin Bermantra: SDGs Instrument “No Poverty” Fisheries Sector in Wajak District

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are global action plans agreed upon by world leaders to end poverty, reduce inequality and protect the environment as part of efforts to achieve the national Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ideas related to the current national development model, based on Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2017, concerning achieving sustainable national development goals. In this regard, the regional government of East Java province has made an acceleration policy in dealing with poverty through the Anti-Poverty Program (APP), which is currently renamed the Peti Koin Bermantra. The research was conducted to determine the program's success in dealing with the problem of poverty in the fisheries sector in The Wajak sub-district through the Mugi Mulya business group as a group of beneficiaries. The research was conducted using the Descriptive Qualitative method, primary data from observations and interviews and secondary data from written documents at the Malang Regency Bappeda. Based on the research conducted, it is known that the program’s sustainability can increase catfish productivity by increasing daily sales by 450% within six years of first receiving assistance. The income of group members also increased, where it was only around Rp. 20,000 before the assistance per day, and gross profit reached Rp after the assistance. 600,000 per day. Based on this, the sustainability of the program can improve the economy of the productive poor, supporting the Sustainable Development Goals “No Poverty”. In the future, it is hoped that the success of the Peti Koin Bermantra program can be felt by various sectors so that it can improve the welfare of the wider community through improvements to the publication of program information itself.

PROBLEMS OF MODERNIZATION OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT GLOBAL ECONOMIC CONDITIONS

In the article the problems of modernization of the structure of the national economy in modern conditions and ways of their solution are considered. The aim was to find the ways how to improve the process of modernization of the structure of the national economy, taking into account the world economic situation. The object of the article is the process of technological modernization of the structure of the national economy of Azerbaijan. The subject of the study are theoretical, methodological and applied aspects of creation of components for technological modernization of the national economy of the country. To this end, the issues of improving the modernization of the structure of the national economy, taking into account the global economic situation and the expansion of the activities of sectors of the economy, which are characterized by the creation of competitive added value, have been studied more optimally. It is important to improve the structure of the national economy in a more optimal and efficient way, to identify methods of solving problems related to modernization and to ensure their adaptability to the system of mechanisms of the national economy. In this connection, it is necessary to define the goals, objectives and tasks in the most optimal way. To this end, based on objective realities, the analysis of economic development processes took into account the reconstruction of the processing sector, the formation of production capacities, an increase in the economic activity of regions, the development of industrial infrastructure, a significant reduction and acceleration of the country's dependence on oil. In general, the article focuses on the inclusion of modernization of economic development as a priority. The article gives recommendations on the considered problems, makes suggestions and forms scientific and practical views, gives the author's position on the problems of modernization of the structure of the national economy: the efficient use of the potential of the oil and gas industry, which is the main leading sector of the national economy, should be ensured, first of all, to ensure the intensive development of the non-oil sector. Results. The competitiveness of the country's economy should be increased year by year, the business environment should be improved, the development of business and entrepreneurship in the "public-private-societal" triangle, the national economic development model should be designed in the context of global economic challenges. Strategic development and action programs should be adopted to ensure that the level is interesting and effective. Modernized competitive economic activities should be actively integrated into the structure of the country's economy, the network of manufacturing enterprises should be expanded, export potential should be increased by organizing import-substituting activities, and sources of foreign exchange should be diversified. In general, it is important to comprehensively and systematically implement key measures to strengthen the competitiveness of the national economy and its resilience to global economic threats in order to ensure the sustainability of its sources of growth.

An assessment model for national sustainable development based on the hybrid DEA and modified TOPSIS techniques

Assessing and improving energy efficiency is crucial for addressing the problems of climate change and global warming. This study evaluates the performance of each Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) nation based on the weights obtained by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), combined with a modified Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method based on the concept of the aspiration level (called modified TOPSIS-AL). Objective weights are obtained for each country through DEA. This method offers an effective improvement over the previous methods which only use the same subjective weights for the calculation. In addition, our model is also able to account for negative environmental externalities generated during development and provides a comprehensive assessment system for the evaluation of national sustainable development. The findings indicate that the member nations are gradually adopting policies to reduce fossil fuel consumption. However, regional analysis showed that the overall performance of the G7 nations differed significantly from that of the non-G7 nations. The importance of this study lies in the fact that energy consumption not only creates environmental burdens but also affects resource production patterns and productivity. By evaluating the performance of nations in terms of energy efficiency and environmental impact, we aim to address the challenges posed by energy consumption for sustainable development. The proposed hybrid model offers several advantages, including a comprehensive assessment system, consideration of negative externalities, and practical policy recommendations.

Pentecostalism and Women Development in the Redeemed Christian Church of God: A Model for National Development.

This article investigates the impact of Pentecostalism on women’s advancement within the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and its implications for broader societal progress. In recent decades, women in the RCCG have taken on more active roles and leadership responsibilities. The study examines historical and theological factors empowering women in the church, fostering personal growth and participation in various spheres. Pentecostalism’s emphasis on spiritual gifts, and inclusion, enables women to challenge gender norms and pursue leadership within the church and society. Success stories of women excelling in academics, entrepreneurship, and community development emerge from RCCG’s policies, teachings, and grassroots initiatives, offering potential contributions to national development. Challenges faced by the RCCG’s approach to women’s development are acknowledged, including reconciling traditional cultural expectations with progressive values. The study used case studies, questionnaires, and interview to illuminate women’s experiences in the RCCG and document transforming journey in the personal, familiar, and societal spheres. The study sheds light on potential obstacles and strategies for inclusive and sustainable development. Through case studies, questionnaires, and interviews, the research illuminates women’s experiences and transformative journeys within the RCCG, concluding with lessons for policymakers to promote women’s participation in societal development. In summary, this study contributes valuable insights to achieving inclusive and sustainable national development by understanding Pentecostalism’s impact on women’s growth in the RCCG. It emphasizes the potential for positive social change through women’s empowerment.

Modern national economic development model in the context of updated global and regional perspectives

The Azerbaijani national model of economic development not only differs from others in a number of aspects, but also stands out with certain advantages. One of the advantages of this model is its ability to develop freely, which contributes to the growth of domestic investment in the country, the implementation of global projects at the expense of the state budget, and skillful protection from the consequences of global crises. In the article, in the context of updated global and regional perspectives, the main principles of the modern model of national economic development, theoretical, methodo-logical and practical aspects of strategic directions of development are described. The article analyzed the national economic model of Azerbaijan from a scientific, theoretical and practical point of view, indicated its features, gave an objective assessment of the economic results obtained, substantiated the concept of a national economic model at a new stage, and identified priority areas for long-term sustainable and balanced economic development. At the same time, the national model of Azerbaijan's economic development, formed within the framework of global trends, challenges and opportunities, a stable and increasingly competitive economy, and a society based on dynamic, inclusive and social justice, was considered.

The return of the Great leader Heydar Aliyev marked the beginning of a qualitatively new era - the great path leading to the center of independent state building. Under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev, radical reforms were carried out, and the economic policy related to its development turned into a state strategy that transformed the country into development, and a large number of programs ensuring its independence were developed. Macroeconomic stability of the state was achieved under the leadership of the great leader, the legislative framework for the organization of entrepreneurship, which is the driving force of market economy, and measures aimed at bringing the private sector to the fore were started. The formation of entrepreneurial relations in the market economy model are integral economic parts of the system. The need for the economic development of the country to be the private sector - entrepreneurial activity came to the fore. That is why the formation and development of entrepreneurship is a threat as a priority direction of economic policy. During his leadership, Heydar Aliyev tried to realize the national economic development model with radical reforms, to form powerful entrepreneurs, and to strengthen their positions in society. It is from this economic point of view that special assistance is given to scientific research of Heydar Aliyev's multifaceted policy in the organization and development of Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.

Village Projects Observed in Eritrea: Post-Conflict Pathways towards Democratic Rural Development

Eritrea’s rural development trajectory has fallen short of fully meeting the basic needs of its peasants and pastoralists, let alone national food security objectives. This article builds on earlier research on rural development projects in a select number of villages. These projects were primarily characterised by a state-centric technocratic logic that did, to some degree, embed “hard” infrastructure in the villages, but which paid less attention to building village-level capacity or organisational autonomy. Looking beyond these impasses, the present article suggests an inward-oriented national development model centred on the home market, rural co-operatives, and food sovereignty. As yet ‒ at the time of writing ‒ another major war afflicts Eritrea and Ethiopia, the presence of the political will for such a transition is by no means guaranteed.

Uzbekistan: New Milestones of Higher Education Internationalization

Modern Uzbekistan undergoes wide-scale social and economic reforms that include the modernization of higher education system. This paper aims at evaluating the actual and potential impact of the reforms in Uzbekistan’s higher education on the Russian universities’ opportunities to export education to Uzbekistan. Accordingly, the paper traces the evolution of the national higher education system under President Islam A. Karimov (from 1991 to 2016), analyzes the new priorities of higher education policies set by his successor Shavkat M. Mirziyoyev, shows their interlinkages with the transition to a new model of national development, and focuses on the objectives and instruments of higher education internationalization. Theoretically and methodologically, the research relies on the concepts of internal and external internationalization of higher education, Clark’s model of higher education system elements, and Trow’s concept of higher education massification levels. The authors show the scale and interconnectedness of higher education challenges that have been developing in Uzbekistan in the course of the 25 years of its independence. The authors argue that higher education internationalization has become a way to achieve a number of objectives, in particular to improve the quality of higher education, orient it to massification, make it more accessible in the country’s regional centers. The paper shows the parameters of internal and external internationalization of higher education in Uzbekistan that has demonstrated the unprecedented dynamics in post-Soviet countries. The paper underlines that the policy of rapprochement with Russia launched by Tashkent in 2016 has created exceptionally beneficial opportunities for Russian universities to work in Uzbekistan and attract Uzbek students. Four mid-term scenarios of higher education internationalization in Uzbekistan are suggested.

GUARANTEE OF STABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH COMPLEX PROVISION OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY

The current stage of development of Ukraine's economy is characterized by changing priorities of national progress. Thus, in the context of globalization of social and socio-economic processes, the world community determines the starting point of social progress is human development and qualitative contributions to human potential, in relation to which the culture of production, productivity and other priorities are secondary. Today, the achievement of economic development through large-scale introduction of economic products of intellectual labor such as knowledge, technology, scientific and technical developments, etc. for their commercialization and socio-economic effect, is recognized as a model of innovative development of the EU economy.
 Ukraine's chosen path of integration into the European Union requires convergence and integration of the national economic system into the systems of EU countries. This puts Ukraine in front of the choice of implementing the development model that the EU has adopted as the basic one, ie the model of innovative development.
 Special requirements for the nature and pace of development of the national economy after its recovery from many years of deep crisis are the tasks of ensuring its reproductive innovation cycle on a new technological basis in a market economy, as well as ensuring the social orientation of this reproductive cycle. , internal and external resources, achieving a faster pace of development dynamics compared to the leading countries of the world in accordance with the direction of progress of the world economy.
 Thus, the adoption of an innovative model of development of the national economy will ensure its competitiveness and entry into the trajectory of sustainable development. Therefore, the transition to an innovative model of national economic development is gradually becoming an imperative of public policy. This is, first of all, to establish effective legal regulation of relations in the field of innovation.

Proposing a library consortium model for national development in Zimbabwe

Globally library cooperation and collaboration is transforming the scholarship landscape as academic libraries battle to survive amidst escalating costs of subscriptions. Zimbabwe is no exception to this phenomenon as evidenced by the development of local consortia for resource sharing. The main purpose of the research is to gather the views of librarians on the need for a library consortium to support national development in Zimbabwe. The researcher used a mixed method approach. Zimbabwe does not have national library consortium for nationwide access to information. Such a consortium is key to harnessing the collective buying power of member institutions to negotiate and guarantee license agreements for digital content. The study recommends a federated library consortium model built on lessons learned from other countries. The model elevates library consortium principles of cooperation and collaboration into Zimbabwe’s national development agenda.
