Enabling and Inhibiting Factors of the Continuous Use of Mobile Short Video APP: Satisfaction and Fatigue as Mediating Variables Respectively.

The short video APP has entered the stage of competition for stock, making it crucial to keep users engaged in their APP to promote continuous usage. Previous studies on the continuous use intention of mobile short video APP were relatively limited, with most studies focusing only on promoting factors. Therefore, based on the dual-factor theory of "enabling-inhibiting", and drawing on the Information System Continuance Model (ECM-ISC) and Cognitive Load Theory, this study extracted two variables, satisfaction and fatigue, to construct an integrated model to explore their enabling and inhibiting effects on continuous use intention. This study selected TikTok APP users as the respondents, obtained 681 valid questionnaires and analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM) using SPSS24.0 and Amos23.0 software. The study investigated the factors that influence users' continuous use intention of short video APP. It shows that in enabling mechanism, perceived usefulness and social influence will increase user satisfaction and thus promote their continuous use intention, and perceived playfulness has a direct effect on the continuous use intention. In inhibiting mechanism, information overload and communication overload are positively correlated with emotional fatigue, which further reduces the continuous use intention. Based on the dual-factor theory of "enabling-inhibiting", the study established an integration model to more comprehensively reveal the impact mechanism of short video APP users' continuous use intention. The study found that the fatigue caused by information and communication overload can inhibit users' continuous use intention of short video APP. Therefore, to improve users' continuous use intention, short video APP should not only increase users' satisfaction but also reduce the fatigue caused by overload.

Re-examining post-acceptance model of information systems continuance: A revised theoretical model using MASEM approach

This study extends the post-acceptance model of information systems (IS) continuance, which is widely used to explain users’ satisfaction and IS continuance intentions. The extended model includes additional variables such as perceived ease of use (PEOU), attitude, trust, and enjoyment. The proposed model was tested using meta-analytic structural equation modeling (MASEM). The analysis included 1,056 observations on fifteen relationships from 214 independent studies with a combined sample of 84,343. The results confirm the significance of all the relationships proposed in the original model. Furthermore, the findings indicate that PEOU directly influences perceived usefulness, satisfaction, and attitude. Trust and enjoyment both have a positive impact on users’ satisfaction and IS continuance, wherein the effect of enjoyment was higher than trust. post-consumption satisfaction resulted in a favorable attitude toward technology, which further affected IS continuance. From a theoretical perspective, the current study acknowledges the shift in users’ attitude toward technology and emphasizes the hedonic value of IS usage as users report a higher degree of satisfaction toward responsive, easy to use, and enjoyable technologies. Marketers should focus on the enjoyment and gratifications derived from technology to increase potential IS usage.

Exploring the factors influencing users' learning and sharing behavior on social media platforms

PurposeThe research goal is to understand what factors affect users' knowledge and information learning and sharing on social media platforms. This study focuses on the impact of platform characteristics on users' behavior. Specifically, the purpose of this study is to investigate (1) what factors affect users' learning and dissemination of knowledge and information on social media platforms, (2) whether knowledge and information learning behavior will have a positive effect on sharing behavior and (3) try to establish an impact model of users' learning and sharing behavior about knowledge and information.Design/methodology/approachThis study proposes an impact mechanism model to test these hypotheses. To achieve this, the authors collected data from 430 users who have used the social media platforms to acquire and share knowledge and information to test the hypothesis. The tools SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 23.0 were used to analyze the reliability, validity, model fits and structural equation modeling.FindingsThe results show that the learning of knowledge and information can influence the sharing behavior on social media platforms. Users' platform-based trust and platform-based satisfaction affect their knowledge and information learning and sharing on the platform. Factors affecting users' trust in social platforms include privacy protection effectiveness and network effects. And, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are related to users' satisfaction with social media platforms.Originality/valueThis study constructs an impact model on the learning and sharing of knowledge and information. The model takes the information system continuance model as the theoretical framework and integrates other factors, including the network effect, the effectiveness of privacy protection and trust. Most of the hypotheses of this research were confirmed. The conclusions provide practical guidance for the dissemination of knowledge information and platform management.

Quality of smart-work support service, perceived value and intention to continue smart-work: empirical evidence from Korea

PurposeSmart-work has been attracting more attention since the COVID-19 outbreak hit the world in 2020. Smart-working practices do not always run smoothly despite the necessary infrastructure being in place. Taking the quality-value-loyalty chain and information system continuance model as the basis, this study aims to identify how “smart-work support service” leads to employees’ continuance intention toward smart-work. In this study, the smart-work support service refers to the infrastructure making smart-work possible and services needed to support smart-work.Design/methodology/approachUsing data collected from a survey of 406 employees working in Korea, this study verifies the components of smart-work support service quality and dimensions of perceived value through partial least squares analysis and then tests the proposed conceptual model using structural equation modeling.FindingsThe results verified that the quality of smart-work support service consists of eight attributes while dividing the perceived value of smart-work into three dimensions and further revealed that the service quality influences the intention to continue smart-working by way of perceived value and satisfaction.Originality/valueThis study sought to explore the relationship among service quality, perceived value and satisfaction by clearly conceptualizing and measuring them in the context of smart-work, thereby ultimately understanding the impact they have on the intention to continue smart-work.

UNDERSTANDING ONLINE SHOPPING CONTINUANCE INTENTION OF TURKISH USERS: AN EMPIRICAL ASSESSMENT

Online shopping has become one of the most essential activities in our corporate as well as individual lives for the last couple of decades. Better understanding of socio-psychological, technical, and individual antecedents of adopting, more importantly continuously using websites have critical importance for the financial, organizational, economic, and technical success of online shopping activities. In this study, the factors affecting Turkish users’ satisfaction with online shopping and their intention to continue using online shopping have been investigated by integrating the information system success model (ISSM), information system continuance model (ISCM), and technology acceptance theories. Especially continuance intention of online shopping is not widely investigated construct among Turkish E-Commerce Studies. This study also contributes in Information Systems research domain by integrating and empirically testing variety of research frameworks mentioned above. The empirical model of this study has been tested by using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. Data were collected using the convenience sampling technique from 313 online shopping users. The results revealed that perceived usefulness and information quality have significant and profound effects on users` continued use of online shopping websites.

Impact of client vendor communication on client satisfaction in information system based projects

PurposeThe research focuses on the impact of client vendor communication on client satisfaction in information system projects and after client satisfaction that will bridge them toward the information system continuance intention of clients. Importance of this study is to understand the effect of client-vendor communication on client satisfaction.Design/methodology/approachThe sample size of the study was 200 respondents and data was collected from electrical manufacturing industries. It is a quantitative field study, and the time horizon of this study is cross-sectional. The data collected was then analyzed by doing the structural equation modeling in PLS-SEM in order to examine the relationships.FindingsFindings of this study likewise demonstrate the mediating impact of client satisfaction between the relationship of client-vendor communication and information system continuance intention as well as between the relationship of expectation confirmation and information system continuance intention. Future studies may include the multi-motive information system continuance model (MISC) to explain the constructs in more depth because it includes different dimensions of expectation confirmation which will help more to understand information system continuance intention.Originality/valueThis study determines the role of information system continuance intention in terms of client-vendor communication and expectation confirmation through the impact of mediator client satisfaction. Previous studies have explained that client-vendor communication affects client satisfaction positively and confirmation also positively affects the client satisfaction. For this research study, the authors have identified the following research gaps. The authors also have found out that the following study is significant in a related study taken in the developed countries. Exploring continuance usage intention toward open government data technologies: an integrated approach

PurposeOpen government data (OGD) is a comparatively new field in e-government and the factors influencing its continuance use by citizens have not been extensively explored. A better understanding of these factors can help the government to articulate strategies and policies that can advance the acceptance and use of OGD technologies. Thus, this paper aims to empirically determine the predictors influencing the continuance usage intention of OGD technologies.Design/methodology/approachFollowing an empirical investigation among 370 respondents in Bangladesh, a developing country, the paper applied path analysis using the structural equation modeling approach. The unified theory of acceptance and use of the technology model is integrated with the information system continuance model to investigate the continuance usage intention of OGD technologies.FindingsThe outcomes of this study reveal that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions (FC) directly affect users’ satisfaction (SAT). In addition, SAT and FC were found statistically significant toward continuance usage intention of OGD technologies.Practical implicationsThe findings of this study suggest policymaker and OGD providers to formulate or modify their strategies to retain the existing OGD users and stimulate persistence usage.Social implicationsFacilitating long-term use by citizens would increase their engagement and they might derive value from the OGD platforms. Concurrently, the government’s objective of ensuring increased future use of OGD technologies would be better realized.Originality/valueThe novelty of this study lies in the fact that it addresses a previously overlooked area of open data research, namely, the acceptance and use of open data technologies and ways to stimulate it. This study has contributed to the existing but limited literature on continuance usage intention of OGD technologies in the context of a developing country.

Factors Influencing Fitness App Users’ Behavior in China

ABSTRACT This study aimed to develop and test a model to explain factors that affect continuous behavior while using fitness apps via expectation-confirmation theory (ECT), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Post-Acceptance Model of Information Systems Continuance (PAM-ISC). Participants completed an online survey. A structural equation model was used to test the proposed model composed of the main factors from ECT, TAM, and PAM-ISC. Achievement motivation was the most important motivation in fitness app use; social, exercise, economic, and interest motivations were also significant factors, while self-development and emotional motivations did not influence initial experience behavior. Five key factors regarding continuous behavior were also identified: expectation confirmation, satisfaction, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and trust. As the frequency of fitness app use are expected to increase, this model provides theoretical and practical guidance for app designers and marketers

Mobile apps for healthy living: Factors influencing continuance intention for health apps

The desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle is growing amongst consumers globally as well as the adoption of health apps. Prior research investigates what affects adoption of a health app, but few studies consider Continuance Intention (CI) for mobile health apps. Drawing on the Information Systems Continuance Model and integrating social (i.e. subjective norms) and psychological factors (i.e. flow experience, health consciousness, behavioral change techniques), we develop a framework testing the factors influencing users’ CI for health apps. The model is validated using PLS analysis and data from 397 health app users from China. The study finds that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, flow experience and behavioral change techniques are significant predictors of CI, and satisfaction mediates these effects. Health consciousness positively moderates the effect between perceived usefulness and satisfaction and negatively moderates the effect between perceived ease of use and satisfaction. Lessons for app developers, marketers and health practitioners are drawn.

Antecedents of Instructor Intention to Continue Using E-Learning Systems in Higher Learning Institutions in Tanzania

Over the years, higher learning institutions (HLIs) have been deploying e-learning systems to complement traditional learning systems in Tanzania. This initiative has consumed many resources including institutions' money, human resources, and time to mention the least. However limited studies have been conducted to investigate long-term intention to use e-learning systems by instructors who are important for initiating, facilitating, and administrating e-learning systems. The current study adopted the information system continuance model (ISCM) and integrated it with two factors (i.e., service quality [SEQ] and system quality [SQ]) from the IS success model to examine their influence on the continuance intention to use e-learning systems. The sample for the study involved 131 instructors drawn from six public-owned HLIs in Tanzania (i.e., IFM, IAA, CBE, DIT, TPSC, and NIT). The study found that the integrated factors (i.e., SEQ and SQ) significantly enhanced the predicting ability of the underlying ISCM in explaining the continuance of intentions to use e-learning systems among instructors.

Is TripAdvisor still relevant? The influence of review credibility, review usefulness, and ease of use on consumers’ continuance intention

PurposeRecent figures show that users are discontinuing their usage of TripAdvisor, the leading user-generated content (UGC) platform in the tourism sector. Hence, it is relevant to study the factors that influence travelers’ continued use of TripAdvisor.Design/methodology/approachThe authors have integrated constructs from the technology acceptance model, information systems (IS) continuance model and electronic word of mouth literature. They used PLS-SEM (smartPLS V.3.2.8) to test the hypotheses using data from 297 users of TripAdvisor recruited through Prolific.FindingsFindings reveal that perceived ease of use, online consumer review (OCR) credibility and OCR usefulness have a positive impact on customer satisfaction, which ultimately leads to continuance intention of UGC platforms. Customer satisfaction mediates the effect of the independent variables on continuance intention.Practical implicationsManagers of UGC platforms (i.e. TripAdvisor) can benefit from the findings of this study. Specifically, they should improve the ease of use of their platforms by facilitating travelers’ information searches. Moreover, they should use signals to make credible and helpful content stand out from the crowd of reviews.Originality/valueThis is the first study that adopts the IS continuance model in the travel and tourism literature to research the factors influencing consumers’ continued use of travel-based UGC platforms. Moreover, the authors have extended this model by including new constructs that are particularly relevant to UGC platforms, such as performance heuristics and OCR credibility.

A model of determinants for continuous usage of business intelligence in Malaysian manufacturing organizations using theoretical

<span>Business Intelligence (BI) offered many advantages to organizations adopting the system such as improved decision making and boost organization’s performance. The lack of research on the continuous usage of BI in manufacturing motivates the initiative in this study to have an understanding of the determinants that influenced it. The study proposed a model of individual-related determinants that lead to the continuous usage of BI in manufacturing. A model integrating Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Information System Continuance Model (ISCM) will be developed. The model will portray 20 hypotheses and 11 determinants leading continuance usage of BI. Data will be collected through survey questionnaires instrument and validated using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The result is hoping to show significant relationships between the determinants towards the continuous usage of BI in manufacturing. The study can potentially be used to guide manufacturers and practitioners for considerations in implementing BI in the manufacturing industry. </span>

The role of continuous trust in usage of online product recommendations

PurposeThis study examines the role of continuous trust (i.e., a trust that develops over time as a result of continuous usage interactions) in determining customers' intention to continue using online product recommendations (OPRs).Design/methodology/approachBased on information system (IS), continuance model, and continuous trust, we propose that continuous trust will influence customers’ intention to continue OPRs’ use directly and indirectly via their satisfaction and usefulness of the OPRs. The research model is tested using data collected via an online survey from 626 existing users of OPRs in 15 different countries.FindingsThe empirical results revealed that continuous trust is shown to be a significant predictor of customers’ intention to continue OPRs use for future purchases. Additionally, the customers’ perceived confirmation and continuous trust positively influence their perceived usefulness and satisfaction with the OPRs, which subsequently influence customers’ OPRs continuous usage intention.Research limitations/implicationsThe saliency of continuous trust and usefulness of OPRs present e-retailers with potential fruitful areas to shape future usage of OPRs. In addition, e-retailers must understand that improving the OPR usefulness on its own may not lead to OPRs continuous usage until OPRs trustworthiness is not continually improved. OPRs itself may be convenient and useful, but trustworthy OPRs will pay stronger dividends for customer satisfaction and OPRs’ continuous usage.Originality/valueThe incorporation of continuous trust into the IS continuance model offers a new theoretical lens and an alternative explanation for the OPR continuous usage intention. This study stands in contrast to the large majority of research concerning initial trust and OPRs adoption, in that it focuses on continuous trust (as opposed to initial trust) and on a customers’ OPRs continuous usage intention as opposed to the initial adoption decision.

The continuance usage of compliance support system: does surveillance concern matter?

PurposeA compliance support system (CSS) aims to support employees' voluntary compliance activities, however, it requires a different approach from the continuous usage of other general information systems. This study first set up a research model based on information system (IS) continuance model to investigate the mechanism of continuance intention to use CSS. Then, this study aims to propose that the surveillance concern will undermine the process of forming beliefs and attitudes toward using CSS, consequently hindering continuance intention to use the system.Design/methodology/approachA questionnaire survey was conducted for the employees of a major Korean energy company that has run their own CSS for about three years. A total of 720 valid responses were analyzed by using partial least squares-based structural model technique. The respondents are classified into two groups: a high level and a low level of surveillance concern group.FindingsThe findings showed that continuance intention of using CSS is basically consistent with the IS continuance model. However, the relationship between satisfaction and continuance intention was found to be insignificant in a high surveillance concern group. In addition, multigroup analysis showed that surveillance concern negatively moderates certain relationships among variables, especially weakening the beliefs and attitudes toward using CSS.Originality/valueThis study has academic significance of broadening the domain of factors affecting continuance intention of using CSS by deeply delving into factors discouraging continuous use of a system. Furthermore, the findings of this study may serve as a practical guideline of alleviating surveillance concern, thereby encouraging employees to use CSS more actively and voluntarily.

Continued use of e-learning technology in higher education: a managerial perspective

ABSTRACT This paper develops a managerial-influence perspective in the context of e-learning technology in higher education. Drawing on principal-agent theory and the information systems (IS) continuance model, a new research model is developed and tested. The study finds support for the effects of goal congruence between managers and educators and managerial incentives on educators’ intention to continue using e-learning technology. Additionally, the results show that managerial goal congruence reduces the positive relationship between incentives and educators’ continuance intention. While the IS continuance model demonstrates an explained variance of 27%, the full model explains 47% of the dependent variable's variance, indicating that the extended model is more powerful in explaining educators’ e-learning continuance than the IS continuance model in isolation. By modifying and extending the IS continuance model, this paper fills a gap in the literature by addressing educators’ continued use of IS from a personal-use perspective, as well as a managerial-influence perspective.

Explaining the determinants of continual use of mobile financial services

PurposeInformation system continuance model has been used in a number of studies to explain information system continuance in different contexts. However, very little research attention has been given to continuous use of mobile financial services (MFS). The purpose of this study is to fill this research gap by identifying the main factors that influence the continual use of MFS.Design/methodology/approachA sample was randomly taken from MFS registered accounts or mobile wallets. A five-point Likert scale survey was conducted in Ghana. Structural equation modelling was used to test the data. Constructs such as continual use, satisfaction, perceived usefulness and confirmation were adapted from information system continuance model to suit the requirement of MFS. A pilot study was then carried out after the questionnaire was developed to gauge the appropriateness of the survey questions.FindingsResults from the survey indicated that user satisfaction has the greatest impact on the continual use of mobile financial services. Good agent quality and satisfaction were the second most influential determinant. Satisfaction was, in turn, confirmed to be determined by perceived usefulness. Another important contributor to MFS continual use was found to be perceived ease of use (PEOU) with an impact surprisingly higher than that of perceived usefulness. There was a significant impact of good agent quality on satisfaction, which could be attributed to the characteristics of the technology for the study.Research limitations/implicationsAlthough a relatively high R2 (71%) was indicated by the proposed model, there is need for additional factors to be identified to improve the ability to predict and explain the continual use of MFS. A longitudinal study would have enhanced the identification of determinants and the understanding of their inter-relationships to influence MFS continual use.Practical implicationsTo ensure continual use of MFS, PEOU as identified by the study is important to ensure that customers can use the service with little effort. Good agent quality can promote PEOU in the sense that competent agents can render relevant tutorials to customers’ right after the registration process. This will address a major barrier to continual use, which is the lack of understanding of how MFS operate.Social implicationsThis study contributes to ensuring financial inclusion such that the unbanked can have access to financial services and also improve digital inclusion.Originality/valueThe study provides empirical evidence to support the substantive differences between acceptance and continual use behaviours, integrating the constructs of good agent quality and PEOU into our understanding of information system continual use literature. The authors also theorized and evaluated a model of MFS continual use.

External validation of the unified model of information systems continuance (UMISC): An international comparison

ContextThe Unified Model of Information Systems Continuance (UMISC) is a metamodel for the evaluation of clinical information systems (CISs) that integrates constructs from five models that have previously been published in the literature. UMISC was developed at the Georges Pompidou University Hospital (HEGP) in Paris and was partially validated at the Saint Joseph Hospital Group (HPSJ), another acute care institution using the same CIS as HEGP. ObjectiveThe aim of this replication study was twofold: (1) to perform an external validation of UMISC in two different hospitals and country contexts: the Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires (HIBA) in Argentina and the Hospital Sirio Libanes in Sao Paulo, Brazil (HSL); (2) to compare, using the same evaluation model, the determinants of satisfaction, use, and continuance intention observed at HIBA and HSL with those previously observed at HEGP and HPSJ. MethodsThe UMISC evaluation questionnaires were translated from their original languages (English and French) to Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish following the translation/back-translation method. These questionnaires were then applied at each target site. The 21 UMISC-associated hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). ResultsA total of 3020 users, 1079 at HIBA and 1941 at the HSL, were included in the analysis. The respondents included 1406 medical staff and 1001 nursing staff. The average profession-adjusted use, overall satisfaction and continuance intention were significantly higher at HIBA than at HSL in the medical and nursing groups. In SEM analysis, UMISC explained 23% and 11% of the CIS use dimension, 72% and 85% of health professionals’ satisfaction, and 41% and 60% of continuance intention at HIBA and HSL, respectively. Twenty of the 21 UMISC-related hypotheses were validated in at least one of the four evaluation sites, and 16 were validated in two or more sites. ConclusionThe UMISC evaluation metamodel appears to be a robust comparison and explanatory model of satisfaction, use and continuance intention for CISs in late post adoption situations.

Investigating user continuance intention toward library self-service technology

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to apply expectation-confirmation theory (ECT) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) to identify potential determinants of library patrons’ intention to continue using (continuance) self-issue and return systems for borrowing and returning books. The role of continuance is specifically interesting and is well-established in the literature of information systems (ISs) and marketing because continuance is considered to be the central element for the survival of ISs and of self-service technology (SST). However, the role of continuance has been neglected by researchers studying library SST adoption.Design/methodology/approachA research model integrating the expectation-confirmation model of IS continuance with UTAUT was developed and empirically validated using data obtained from a field survey involving 128 active users of a self-issue and return system at a public library in Taiwan.FindingsLibrary patrons’ continuance intention was affected by their post-adoption expectation of perceived performance, effort performance and facilitating conditions as well as their satisfaction when using self-issue and return systems. Moreover, a patron satisfaction level was influenced by performance expectancy and confirmation of initial expectations, whereas confirmation had a positive effect on all post-adoption expectations.Originality/valueThis study broadens perspectives on SST adoption behavior in the library context by identifying some factors that influence library patrons’ continuance decisions. Furthermore, the authors verified the applicability and predictability of the theoretical integration of ECT with UTAUT in a diverse setting because the authors sought survey participants outside of the college population.

Research on the Impact of Barrage Video on the Continuance Intention of E-Learning Platform

Traditional e-learning platforms have problems such as low completion rate of courses, high platform dropout rate, and a lack of willingness of learners to continue to use. And barrage videos provide a new form of interaction for e-learning platforms. This paper, based on Expectation Confirmation Model of Information Systems Continuance (ECM), proposes the theoretical model of the impact of barrage video on the willingness to use e-learning platform, which adds to two variables of perceived pleasure and perceived presence and is verified by data crawler of learning video barrage. The results show that the barrage video positively affects the online learner's perceived pleasure, perceived presence and perceived usefulness, thereby increasing learner satisfaction and product willingness to continue to use.

Evaluation of the unified model of information systems continuance (UMISC) in two hospital environments

ContextThe deployment and long-term acceptance of clinical information systems (CISs) are faced with multiple difficulties. They include insufficient quality of the systems in place and resistance to the multiple changes they induce in care processes. Permanent evaluation of deployed solutions is a prerequisite to their continuous improvement. ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was twofold: (1) To validate the post-adoption unified model of information systems continuance (UMISC) progressively developed at the Georges Pompidou University Hospital (HEGP) in Paris (internal validation); and (2) To compare, using the same evaluation model, the results observed at HEGP with those of the Saint-Joseph Hospital Group (HPSJ), another Paris acute care institution (external validation). MethodsThe UMISC post-adoption model is built around nine dimensions: end-user characteristics, social norm (SN), IS quality (ISQ), facilitating conditions (FC), perceived usefulness (PU), confirmation of expectations (CE), profession-adjusted use (PAU), satisfaction (SAT), and continuance intention (CI). Two semi-quantitative evaluation surveys were performed at HEGP in 2014 and 2015, and one at HPSJ in 2015. Statistical analysis included multiple regression analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM). ResultsThe analysis concerned 459 responders, 264 at HEGP and 195 at HPSJ. UMISC indicators, with the exception of SN, are superior at HEGP than at HPSJ, which had a shorter CIS anteriority than HEGP. In SEM analysis, the UMISC model explained 25% and 40% of the CIS use, 92% and 93% of health professionals’ satisfaction, and 72% and 71% of continuance intention at HEGP and HPSJ, respectively. Seventeen of the 21 tested UMISC hypotheses were supported in at least one of the two sites. ConclusionThe UMISC evaluation model can be used as a comparison and explanatory model of CIS use, satisfaction and continuance intention in post-CIS adoption situations that become prevalent in current electronic hospitals.
