The impact of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, which is increasing every day, has resulted in restrictions on community activities in all fields including the election of the head of the affected neighbourhood’s unit (RT) and community unit (RW). citizens and a direct voting process are carried out. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the election of RT and RW heads cannot be carried out properly, therefore the author intends to create and implementation an information system for the election of RT and RW heads that can be used by all residents and can be carried out from the homes of each resident without having to conduct community meetings as usual. The system to be built is mobile-based so that it can be run through applications on Android-based smartphones. The choice of a mobile-based information system (Android) is because almost all citizens have an Android-based smartphone, besides that, an Android-based smartphone is also easy to operate.

Development and Assessment of a Mobile-based Information System for Charity Foundations

This paper presents the development and evaluation of a mobile-based information system for charity foundations to improve the management of donor profiles, donation records, beneficiary information, and program reports. A user-centered design approach was employed to ensure usability and effectiveness. The evaluation was based on usability, effectiveness, functionality, and maintainability, and the results show that the system is highly usable, effective, functional, and maintainable. The system contributes to the digital transformation of charitable organizations by providing a technological solution to their information management challenges, increasing transparency, facilitating real-time communication between organizations and donors, and resulting in increased efficiency, the effectiveness of operations, and improved program impact, leading to increased donations. The system's success highlights its value in transforming charitable organizations' operations and continued development and assessment are essential for its success.

Implementation Of Tree Model In The Development Of E-Mantram Android Application

Hindu Mantram is chants of speech with supernatural powers, which should not be done carelessly. The Balinese Hindu Mantram is a modified form of the Hindu Mantram that adapts to the local wisdom of the Balinese Hindu Community. The problem is that there is no digital education platform regarding the Balinese Hindu Mantram. Based on these problems, a mobile-based information system was built that integrates the Balinese Hindu Mantram and Yadnya Ceremony with its ceremonial procession. This information system applied Model Tree and UAT with PSSUQ Method. This research aimed to develop an application that can be a platform to provide education about the Balinese Hindu Mantram and its relationships. The results obtained from this research were the E-Mantram Android mobile application that implemented the Tree Model and UAT results with a System Usefulness value of 1.94, Information Quality of 2.06, Interface Quality of 2.06, and Overall of 2.01.

Vegetation Mapping Information System Model Design Of Tambakrejo Village, Jombang District, Jombang Regency

The need for vegetation mapping is very necessary at this time because it can make it easier for users to find out the types of plants that exist in each village and their coordinates. In Jombang Regency, there is no system that implements this vegetation mapping system. This research designs the development of web and mobile-based information systems. The tools used for modeling this system are Flowcharts, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams. The software used is Adobe XD to create system designs and MySql as a programming language. From the design of the system that will be made, it will produce a web of geographic information system for mapping vegetation in Jombang Regency.

The development of information systems and information technology, of course, can also change people's behavior in carrying out their activities, which were originally done manually, now they can be done digitally so that they are more effective and efficient. Customer satisfaction is a person's level of feeling after being able to compare the perceived performance or results compared to their expectations. Indihome is one of the products of PT. Telkom as a provider of Indihome service products which has services in the form of mobile application-based services, namely Myindihome. The PIECES framework is a framework that has six categories in classification and problem solving, namely Performance, Information and Data, Economics, Control and Security, Efficiency, and Service. This study uses the PIECES Framework method in analyzing data, the use of the PIECES framework method is very suitable in analyzing each system variable being studied because it can provide real results on the effectiveness of the system used by the company. Customer satisfaction with mobile application-based services is measured by the PIECES framework to determine the level of customer satisfaction with services. In this study, measurements were carried out using the PIECES Framework, resulting in an average score of 4.26 with a Likert scale. So service users are categorized as satisfied with mobile-based information system services.

Android-Based Application for Children’s Growth Monitoring as a Complement for Child Development Card

Posyandu is a community activity center to provide health services and family planning. Routine monthly weighing for toddlers is one of the activities carried out by the Posyandu. This activity aims to detect early childhood growth disorders to address these problems quickly and precisely. However, since the Covid-19 pandemic, the toddler Posyandu, held regularly every month, has been temporarily suspended until the pandemic ends. This situation causes monitoring of toddlers' growth, and development cannot be done. Therefore we need a mechanism for monitoring child growth and development that can be done online via a smartphone. In previous research has implemented several desktop, web, and mobile-based information systems, but they do not yet have complex features such as maternal and child health information management. The purpose of this research is to create an android-based application in the form of an information system for Child Development Posyandu, which will contain several features such as immunization schedules, monitoring of child growth and development, health news. This application development uses the design sprint method. The test results with the User Acceptance Test method of this android application to user respondents show that 80% of the applications are in a Good category and can be used at Posyandu.

Machine learning for manually-measured water quality prediction in fish farming.

Monitoring variables such as dissolved oxygen, pH, and pond temperature is a key aspect of high-quality fish farming. Machine learning (ML) techniques have been proposed to model the dynamics of such variables to improve the fish farmer’s decision-making. Most of the research on ML in aquaculture has focused on scenarios where devices for real-time data acquisition, storage, and remote monitoring are available, making it easy to develop accurate ML techniques. However, fish farmers do not necessarily have access to such devices. Many of them prefer to use equipment to manually measure these variables limiting the amount of available data to process. In this work, we study the use of random forests, multivariate linear regression, and artificial neural networks in scenarios with limited amount of measurements to analyze data from water-quality variables that are commonly measured in fish farming. We propose a methodology to build models in two scenarios: i) estimation of unobserved variables based on the observed ones, and ii) forecasting when a low amount of data is available for training. We show that random forests can be used to forecast dissolved oxygen, pond temperature, pH, ammonia, and ammonium when the water pond variables are measured only twice per day. Moreover, we showed that these prediction models can be implemented on a mobile-based information system and run in an average smartphone that fish farmers can afford.

Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Sustainability of Potato Production through A Real-time Digital Knowledge-based System

Potato is the most popular root crop and plays a crucial role in human nutrition worldwide. However, farmers in Sri Lanka face many challenges throughout at different stages of potato production. This study intends to provide context-specific actionable information using the Packages of Practice (PoP) model through an ICT-based mobile platform. To investigate farmers’ challenges, a field survey was conducted in major potato growing Districts in Sri Lanka. Primary data were obtained using a pre-tested structured questionnaire, formal and informal discussions from 100 potato farmers selected by purposive sampling technique. Low farmgate prices (37%), pest and disease attacks (32%) and high cost of farm inputs (20%) were the major challenges identified in the study area. These challenges were mainly due to the non-adoption of proper agronomic practices, lack of complete information at the right time, scarcity and low-quality agro-technology, <em>etc</em>. Further, identified decision support factors required for each stage in the farming life cycle for better cultivation. The PoP model was designed concerning the farmer context using Design Science Research methodology. Then the designed PoP was verified and validated by the experts in the domain. The ontological crop knowledge base was used to represent the PoP. Finally, knowledge in the PoP model is fed through a mobile application and then according to user requests, information is acquired from the knowledge base. The designed PoP will be modified based on the updated information/knowledge and user satisfaction/feedback. The proposed information flow will be continued cyclically. A mobile-based information system was taken as an effective tool to speed up the process of knowledge sharing among farmers by providing real-time information, promised to overcome common challenges faced by the potato farmers and achieve long-term sustainability in production.

Immunization, nutritional support for food vitamins and nutritional content from food are important components to support good children's growth and development. However, the number of malnutrition and malnutrition in Indonesia is still high, causing many children under five to experience stunting during the golden age. Through this research, analysis and design of mobile-based information systems that can be accessed anywhere and anytime as needed is carried out. The design of this information system can be used as a guide for young mothers regarding child health information needed, especially during the growth and development period of toddlers by monitoring growth curves and providing health recommendations through the calculation of the Body Mass Index (BMI) in toddlers and can also be used as a reminder and recording of immunization data in children under five.

Design of Management Information System for Employee Performance Appraisal Using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Method

Information Technology and Information Systems are able to assist the performance appraisal process and assist decision-making by the management of an organization. Bank BTN Bogor Branch Office itself has carried out the performance appraisal process for employees every quarter, semester and annually every year. The performance appraisal process uses the key performance indicator method using several indicators, where the assessment is carried out by superiors to subordinates after a performance target has been set by the Central Bank BTN Office. The performance appraisal process takes quite a long time because the accountant has to collect every performance appraisal result from each work unit. In addition, the ongoing system has another weakness, namely that it cannot be monitored via the dashboard in real time by the Management division which aims to assist in decision making in finding top talent. This study designed a Management Information System for employee performance appraisal at Bank BTN Bogor Branch Office which is designed for 2 levels of management, namely middle level management and bottom level management. The design of this SIM includes 3 stages, namely the data collection method, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) system development method and the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) method. The application of SOA is used so that communication between systems can run smoothly without being hindered by different platforms. The results of the SIM design in the form of a mockup that functions as an assessment system and monitoring media for employee performance with several features in it both mobile and website. Then there are several additional features in designing a mobile-based information system, namely employee performance which aims to see top talent candidate employees.

Tujuan dari penulis untuk melakukan penelitian ini untuk membantu petugas penagihan atau petugas lapangan retribusi pasar yang berada diarea citra niaga samarinda. Petugas penagihan retribusi pasar tidak menggunakan catatan dalam melakukan penagihan setiap hari. Hasil dari penelitian ini untuk tidak membuat kesulitan dalam melakukan penagihan retribusi pasar dan pembuatan laporan pasar dengan tidak menggunakan secara manual. Dengan ada nya Sistem Informasi Retribusi Pasar Citra Niaga Samarinda Berbasis Mobile sangat bisa membantu dalam penagihan retribusi pasar dan tidak melakukan kecurangan.

Perancangan dan Implementasi Sistem Informasi Kesehatan P - IRT berbasis Web dan Android

The Salatiga City Government through the Health Office organizes a system of services and socialization to the community in a preventive manner. The intended community includes P-IRT (Food and Home Industry) which constitutes the food and beverage industry sector which is included in the small industry. In carrying out the delivery of information, employees must carry out a program of training activities as well as by conducting socialization to the community directly, where it is more time consuming, costly, and energy. This also makes the service and delivery of information less efficient. Therefore a web-based and mobile-based information system design is needed to complement these shortcomings. By using the Laravel Framework and Android Programming as well as a collaborative filter algorithm, a web-based application and an Android phone are generated to address the problem. Sharing information and discussions between the public and related agencies is easier to use this system.&#x0D; &#x0D;

Development of GIS for Buildings in the Customary Village of Minangkabau Koto Gadang, West Sumatra, Indonesia

Indonesia aims to strengthen its local regions and villages. This has led to the encouragement of smart village development through several forms of assistance, including Information Technology (IT) services from the government. Koto Gadang, one of the many Minangkabau customary villages in West Sumatra, has been used as a model for the development of an IT service that can support tourism known as a Web- and mobile-based geographic information system (GIS) for buildings (GB) in order to map and visualize buildings and their inhabitants. This paper reports the development of the GB. This study takes the form of a literature review, a survey, data collection, and software development. The results of the literature review and survey were used as the basis for software development. Aerial photographs of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), mosques, offices, schools, and health service centers, as well as residential buildings, were taken using a drone, while attribute data were collected directly by visiting the buildings. The users of the GB were divided into two groups: visitors and village officers. Moreover, there confidentiality was maintained for all the data provided, so the visitors were only allowed to search for buildings (MSMEs, offices, mosques, schools, and health centers) based on certain criteria, view locations, found information, and survey routes, while village officers were allowed to collect data on residents, buildings, and houses, and also search people’s homes. Furthermore, in situations where a visitor needs to find a resident’s house, the village officers are required to provide this assistance. These provisions were applied in the GB and implemented using the PostgreSQL/PostGIS database, PHP, CSS Bootstrap, jQuery, and Basic4Android, created according to the needs of the Koto Gadang smart customary village. The GB allows the village officers to better understand and monitor all the buildings, houses, and residents in the village and could also encourage many travelers to visit and see historic buildings and shop for embroidery and silver crafts.

Development of mobile-based health center information system with feature-oriented software development (case study in North Kuta health center)

Health center is a district/city official technical unit that responsible for handling health development. At North Kuta Health Center, the medical record has been managed using a web-based application information system. Most of the patients access this system via smartphone. However, the system interface is not optimal if accessed via smartphone, such as the buttons on the system are covered by other interface elements and image sizes exceed the smartphone screen. For this reason, a mobile-based information system was developed from the existing health center system. When developing the system, a Feature-Oriented Software Development (FOSD) method was applied. The FOSD method applied the stages of domain analysis, domain design and specifications, domain implementation, product configuration, and generation. The domain analysis stage produced a needs analysis. At the domain design and specification stage, requirements analysis was processed into system design. The system design was created into a system prototype at the domain implementation stage. At the product configuration and generation stages, the system prototype was tested with User Acceptance Test (UAT) and running time. Running time testing shows the average time needed by the prototype system to complete each process was 432 ms. The UAT test shows that the prototype system was running well under the health service business process at the North Kuta Health Center. The system prototype has also provided convenience in the operation of health services in the North Kuta Health Center.

Design for Empowerment: Empowering Sri Lankan Farmers through Mobile-based Information System

We developed a mobile-based information system (MBIS) to empower users to improve their livelihood activities. To do so, we first developed an empowerment framework (since one does not exist) as a basis to develop the MBIS. In particular, we conducted this research to solve an agriculture over-production problem in Sri Lanka where farmers remain trapped in a poverty cycle. They cannot make informed decisions due to lack of access to timely, context-based actionable information to achieve a good revenue. We had to generate some essential information such as current production level in real-time by capturing farmers’ decisions such as what and how much to grow. For this purpose, we needed to empower farmers to actively engage them in informed decision-making process through the MBIS. In evaluating the impact of the MBIS, we found a statistically significant positive change in farmers’ empowerment levels based on measuring self-efficacy, sense of control, and motivation before and after they used the application. Commercial organizations have since adopted this mobile-based system in India and Sri Lanka to solve agricultural problems, in universities Africa to mitigate hidden hunger, and the Corporative Research Center in Australia to develop digital health applications to manage chronic diseases, which indicates the approach’s wide adoptability.

Design and development of a mobile-based patient management and information system for infectious disease outbreaks in low resource environments.

The design of Patient Management and Information Systems during outbreaks of highly infectious diseases in low resource environments poses special challenges. Such systems necessitate special functional and design requirements to support patient care under austere conditions. A primary concern is to minimize spread of the disease to caregivers and non-infected individuals. Patient management in these conditions requires the design and development of systems customized for complex patient and caregiver workflows. Design and develop a Patient Management and Information System for healthcare facilities on the frontlines of outbreaks of highly infectious diseases in low resource environments. A team composed of clinicians with experience in Ebola care in affected areas of Africa and informaticians developed detailed hardware, software and functionality requirements. These were translated into hardware designs, software architectures, screen and interface designs and implemented using Common Off-The-Shelf hardware. An experimental app development system was used to develop mHealth software modules. The system was developed and implemented as a proof of concept. Acceptance testing showed that the system met functionality requirements. Useful Patient Management and Information systems can be developed and implemented for frontline use in low-resource environments during outbreaks of highly infectious diseases.

Minimizing Issues and Information Gaps in Value Chain of Cinnamon Industry in Sri Lanka through ICT based Intervention: A Case Study

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum Blume) is indigenous to Sri Lanka which holds a virtual monopoly of cinnamon in the world accounting for around 90% of the global trade. Because of its industrial applications and medicinal properties, there is a growing demand for true cinnamon in the world. Major drawbacks of the cinnamon industry in Sri Lanka are low productivity and quality, poor value addition, lack of market information, smallholdings, poor accessibility, and inadequate and unsatisfactory extension services. This study identified the stakeholders and services in Sri Lankan cinnamon industry and proposed a model for the local cinnamon value chain by analyzing existing literature, established knowledge and qualitative discussions. Further, a questionnaire-based survey was carried out to ascertain the gaps in the local value chain of cinnamon and to determine the gaps that can be effectively addressed through ICT-based interventions. Survey results showed that nearly 75% of farmers obtained a yield less than 650 kg ha-1 year-1; 15% of the farmers received a yield less than 300 kg ha-1 year-1. According to the survey, 91% of the farmers used mobile phones to receive relevant information to the industry while 32% and 22% had used smartphones and Wi-Fi facility, respectively. Further, study revealed that cinnamon growers face difficulties in obtaining quality planting material, modern agro-technology, technical know-how and advisory service in cultivation and processing, business development services, experienced peelers and market behavior when required. Around 90% of the stakeholders expressed that they are interested to receive relevant information related to weather, agro-technology, support services, market information, etc. on a mobile-based application. Therefore, an information flow model; key functions and their behaviors for the proposed mobile-based information system are presented in this research. Hence, ICT enabled mobile platform shows great promise in improving the yield, quality, and profitability of cinnamon industry in Sri Lanka.

Penerapan Algoritma Kompresi Pada Sistem Pengaduan Layanan Masyarakat Online

Handling complaints is a reciprocal service for the public provided by the government. People who want to make a complaint can make it by dialing the phone number, web, emails and suggestion box provided by the government. Problems encountered in making this complaint include an error in entering/writing the targeted agency, the distance to the suggestion box is far and not real time. The author designed a mobile-based information system for handling public complaints using the android operating system. This public complaint handling application has a feature where the user can choose the agency in accordance with the complaint, the complaint can include pictures, location tags, can see the lates developments of complaint handling in the status of complaints, as well as chat feature that can be used to communicate directly with the Government and the Admin Agencies. Based on the result of test conducted, namely testing using black box method and stress testing, it can be concluded that this application has functioned properly.&#x0D; Keywords: Image, Boxblur Algorithm, Information System, Compression
