Carbonation is a typical type of concrete deterioration that can cause various physicochemical changes and adversely affects the performance of reinforced concrete structures, particularly in offshore structures. Nonlinear resonant ultrasonic spectroscopy (NRUS), which is a non-destructive test technique, is applied in this study to experimentally evaluate the degree of concrete carbonation without damaging the structure. Nonlinearity parameters of test specimens exposed to accelerated carbonation conditions are measured via NRUS. The measured nonlinearity parameters indicate lower values for longer carbonation durations. This is because internal microcracks are reduced by CaCO<sub>3</sub>, which is a carbonation product. The consistent trend of the experimental results shows that NRUS can be effectively applied to evaluate concrete carbonation.
