Best Practice Activities in Education of Clean and Healthy Life Behaviors in Children With Special Needs in Facing the Covid-19 Pandemic

Covid-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV virus with general symptoms of acute respiratory tract disorders, both mild and severeThis study aims to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes towards children with special needs in complying with health protocols in Education about clean and healthy living behaviour in preventing covid 19 at SLBN 1 Parepare. This study used a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of several students at SLBN 1 Parepare. The sample was divided into two groups, namely the experimental group, as many as 37 and the control group, as many as 36. Sampling was used using the total sampling method for the population. Data analysis using the Mann test. The results showed that knowledge scores increased by after being given Education on clean and healthy living behaviours 2.19, while attitudes increased after being given Education on clean and healthy behaviours by 4.39. This study concludes that there is an effect of best practice activities on clean and healthy living behaviour with browser media on increasing knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitudes (p = 0.000) of children with special needs, for the school there should be special lessons every month regarding Education about clean and healthy living behaviour in complying with the covid 19 prevention health protocol

A Preliminary Study on the Characteristics and Standard Diagnosis and Treatment of Vestibular Dysfunction in Children.

To understand the pathogenesis of vestibular dysfunction in children and to provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of vestibular dysfunction in children. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 80 children who visited our hospital from June 2011 to July 2020, aged between 4 and 17years, with a duration of 1day to 3years. They were admitted to the hospital for treatment upon vestibular function-related examinations confirmed that there was peripheral vestibular function impairment. Children aged 6-12years old who are diagnosed are significantly more than other two age groups (4-6) and (12-17) (X2 = 101.738, P < .001). There was a significant statistical difference (X2 = 91.195, P < .001) in comparison of abnormal rates of vestibular function-related examinations. The Mann test had the highest abnormal rate and the lowest Cervical Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (cVEMP) abnormality rate. Comparison of abnormal consistency rates for quantitative and qualitative examination of vestibular function, the abnormal rates (double temperature test and Mann test) were significantly better than other abnormal consistency rates, and there were statistical differences (X2 = 7.485, P = .024 < .05). Among the children with vestibular dysfunction, the etiology was most common in 58 cases (72.50%) of benign paroxysmal vertigo, 4 cases of vestibular migraine (5.00%), 8 cases (10.00%) of vestibular neuronitis, of which 22 cases (27.50%) were combined with other diseases, and the most common was 15 cases (18.75%) of sinusitis. A limited number of studies were conducted on vestibular dysfunction in children. The current retrospective analysis suggests that age, gender, and side of ear pain have no significant effects, while children aged 6-12 are more likely to suffer from vestibular dysfunction. On children's vestibular dysfunction, more etiology is unclear, and special attention should be paid to differential diagnosis when giving treatment and the child's medical history should be examined in detail and appropriate vestibular function tests should be selected in order to provide timely, effective, and accurate treatment for the child.

Terapi Aktivitas Kelompok terhadap Depresi pada Lansia

This study aims to determine the effect of group activity therapy on depression in the elderly at the Harapan Kita Elderly Social Institution in Palembang. This type of research is quasi-experimental, with the research design using a one-group pre-test post-test design. The results of the study in the control group before and after there was no significant difference because the p-value was 0.317, while in the treatment group, there was a significant difference between before and after group activity therapy because the p-value was 0.026, then tested post-control and post-treatment using the Mann test. -Whitney p-value of 0.268 means there is no difference between the two groups. In conclusion, group activity therapy can reduce depression in the elderly treated at the Harapan Kita Social Institution in Palembang.&#x0D; &#x0D; Keywords: Depression, Elderly, Group Activity Therapy

The Effectiveness of Warm and Cold Compress In The Implementation Of Pain After DPT - Hb – Hib Immunization At BPM “D” Of Neglasari Sub-District Tangerang City In 2021

The research design used a Quasi-Experimental with two group pretest posttest designs. The instrument used was the FLACC scale to assess the condition of the infants before and after compressing and immunization, in which cold compress carried out 10 minutes before the immunization, while warm compress were carried out 15 minutes before immunization. The data distribution was tested using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test. The Wilcoxon test results showed that both of them have an effect on pain by getting the sig value. of 0.001 ≤ 0.05. Based on Whitney's mann test analysis, the mean difference of before and after the warm compress was 23, while before and after the cold compress was 8. The comparison of the effectiveness of warm compress and cold compress in pain management had a p-value of 0.000 indicating that there was an influence in pain management.

The Effect of Pineapple Juice and Honey on the Acceleration of Perineal Wound Healing in Post-Partum Mothers in the Work Area of Dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto Hospital

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of pineapple juice and honey on the acceleration of perineal wound healing in puerperal mothers, with a quasi-experimental design. The research design chosen was Post Test Only Control Group Design using purposive sampling technique with a sample of 36 respondents. The experimental group 18 which was given pineapple juice and honey for 7 days was 150 ml 2x1 then measured by post-test after the treatment while the control group 18 respondents who were not given treatment. The results showed that administration of pineapple juice and honey had a significant effect on the acceleration of perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers using the Whitney mann test to obtain a mean of 24.50-12.50 mean value of 12 ρ value 0,000 &lt;α 0.05.

Differences in fasting blood glucose levels in acceptors Progestin Injections and Combination Injections

&lt;em&gt;Efforts to limit and regulate birth spacing as a goal to create quality families and healthy families, the government encourages people to use contraceptives as birth control. One of these contraceptives is injection contraception. Injecting contraception is the most widely used contraceptive tool by the people of Indonesia, is considered effective, practical, but has several side effects, the most worrying is that it affects blood glucose. Blood glucose levels in the human body that increase more than normal can be a symptom of diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study is to determine differences in blood glucose levels in progestin injection and combined injection contraceptive acceptors. Observational research design using a cross sectional approach. The study population was all injectable acceptors. Samples were taken that met the inclusion criteria, namely respondents were willing to be examined, there was no history of diabetes mellitus (DM), less than 40 years of age, acceptors of at least 6-8 hours fasting. Sampling was carried out using consecutive sampling techniques totaling 50 acceptors (25 progestin injection acceptors, 25 combined injection acceptors). Data were analyzed by Witney mann test using α = 0.05. The results showed the mean fasting blood glucose for progestin injection acceptors was higher than for combination injections, the test results P = 0.008 &amp;lt;α = 0.05. The conclusions of the study show that there are significant differences in blood glucose levels in progestin-injecting acceptors and this combination means that progestin-injecting contraceptives have a higher impact on increasing fasting blood sugar levels compared with combined injection contraception. Suggestions for health workers to control blood glucose injector acceptors at acceptors who experience high glucose levels are recommended to replace non-hormonal contraceptive methods.&lt;/em&gt;

Influence of pH Value of Bleaching Gels on Surface Roughness of Bovine Enamel

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of the pH levels of three in-office bleaching gels on the surface roughness of bovine enamel, after the bleaching protocol. Materials and methods: 36 samples of bovine enamel were obtained, which were cut and divided into three groups (n=12): 40%hydrogen peroxide (Opalescence Boost40%), 35% hydrogen peroxide (Whiteness HP AutoMixx) and 35% hydrogen peroxide (Whiteness HP Blue), receiving a 40-minute application of bleaching. The average pH values were determined using a pH meter during the initial and final application of the gel. A roughness meter was used to assess surface roughness (Ra) before and after bleaching. Data were analyzed with the Friedmann and wilcoxon test (difference between groups); the Kruskall Wallis and U Mann test (difference in each group), as well as Pearson or Spearman test for correlation. Results: There is an increase in pH values from the beginning to the end of bleaching in all groups, except for the 35% hydrogen peroxide group (Whiteness HP Automixx). For surface roughness results there is an increase in all groups. No correlation was found between pH values of the bleaching gels and the surface roughness of the enamel after bleaching. Conclusions: Hydrogen peroxide bleaching gels with high concentrations that have a high or low pH could cause alterations in the surface of the tooth enamel, such as increase in surface roughness.

Pengaruh Media Video (Teman Sebaya) Terhadap Keterampilan Pemasangan Elektrocardiogram

The skill of installing an electrocardiogram (EKG) is one of the competencies that must be achieved by nursing students. To achieve these skills, it is necessary to have material delivery efforts by lecturers using the right media, so that the learning process becomes more effective. The learning process related to skills takes a lot of time and requires repetition until finally it is truly proficient. Therefore, it is necessary for media that are easily accessible at anytime and anywhere, one of which is through peer learning video media on ECG installation skills as a way to overcome skills problems in taking action on nursing students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using video media (peers) on ECG installation skills in nursing students at STIKes Karsa Husada Garut. The research method is a quasi-experimental design with pre-post test group with control. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 104 students (intervention and control groups). The results of the study showed that some respondents had moderate skills in the installation of ECG before intervention. Most of the respondents have high skills in the installation of ECG after intervention. The results of bivariate analysis using the Whithney U Test Mann Test showed that there was a significant increase between ECG installation skills before and after the intervention was given in the form of using video media (peers) about the ECG installation skills (P Value = 0.000). The use of video media (peers) can improve the ability of nursing students in the action of EKG installation skills.

Terrestrial Gamma Radiation Dose Rate of West Sarawak

A study of terrestrial gamma radiation (TGR) dose rate was conducted in west of Sarawak, covering Kuching, Samarahan, Serian, Sri Aman, and Betong divisions to construct a baseline TGR dose rate level data of the areas. The total area covered was 20,259.2 km 2 , where in-situ measurements of TGR dose rate were taken using NaI(Tl) scintillation detector Ludlum 19 micro R meter NaI(Tl) approximately 1 meter above ground level. Twenty-nine soil samples were taken across the 5 divisions covering 26 pairings of 9 geological formations and 7 soil types. A hyperpure Germanium detector was then used to find the samples’ 238 U, 232 Th, and 40 K radionuclides concentrations producing a correction factor C f = 0.544. A total of239 measured data were corrected with Cf resulting in a mean Dm of 47 ± 1 nGy h -1 , with a range between 5 nGy h -1 - 103 nGy h -1 . A multiple regression analysis was conducted between geological means and soil types means against the corrected TGR dose rate Dm, generating D g,s = 0.847Dg+ 0.637Ds- 22.313 prediction model with a normalized Beta equation of D g,s = 0.605D g + 0.395 D s . The model has an 84.6% acceptance of Whitney- Mann test null hypothesis when tested against the corrected TGR dose rates.

Statistical Analysis of α-series stochastic process with application

The research deal with the α-series stochastic process. It’s proposed by the researchers [Braun et a., 2005] as considered a very useful complement to the increasing geometric stochastic process. The parameters of α-series process are estimated using some nonparametric methods, as well as Mann test for trend analysis monotonous stochastic process, and technical graphic that tests the ownership of the process to the α-series process. The research includes an application addresses the stops of Cement production factories in Iraq. The statistical analysis is performed for the factory stops as α-series process, and tests the appropriateness of the data for the process. The study also estimates the expected number of factory stops cases, and compares between the suggested estimation methods.

Nonparametric estimation in [formula omitted]-series processes

A counting process { N ( t ) , t ≥ 0 } with the interoccurrence times X 1 , X 2 , … is an α -series process if there exists a real number α such that ( k α X k ) k = 1 , 2 , … forms a renewal process. The nonparametric inference problem in an α -series process is taken into consideration. The Mann test is applied for trend analysis and a graphical technique is presented in order to test whether the data come from an α -series process. Some nonparametric estimators for three important parameters of the α -series process are obtained by using a linear regression method. The consistency and asymptotic normality properties are investigated. The performances of the estimators are evaluated by a simulation study. Some suggestions on the choice of the estimators are made based on the theoretical and simulation results. Further, the method is illustrated through a real-life example.

Czynność narządu przedsionkowego u kobiet w okresie menopauzy niestosujących hormonalnej terapii zastępczej (HTZ)

Menopause affects women most commonly after 40 years of age. At this time there is higher risk of myocardial infarction, hypertension, high cholesterol level, diabetes, overweight, osteoporosis as well as balance disorders and vertigo. was to evaluate the activity of the vestibular organ in menopausal women not using Hormone Replacement Therapy, and then to compare the results with a group of young healthy women. The study involved 100 women aged between 18 and 55 years, qualified into the following study groups: I group (control group)--50 healthy women aged 18-23, II group (study group)--50 menopausal women aged 45-55, not using Hormone Replacement Therapy. The study included evaluation of the character and intensity of vertigo, Romberg and Mann test, static posturography, ENG with eyes open and closed, Fitzgerald-Hallpike caloric test, eye-tracking test and optokinetics in all the women. It was found that menopausal women tend to have central nervous system disorders, peripheral vestibular disorders occur sporddically.

Trend analysis of long-term temperature time series in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

As the majority of the world’s population is living in urban environments, there is growing interest in studying local urban climates. In this paper, for the first time, the long-term trends (31–162 years) of temperature change have been analyzed for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Annual and seasonal time series for a number of urban, suburban, and rural weather stations are considered. Non-parametric statistical techniques such as Mann–Kendall test and Theil-Sen slope estimation are used primarily for the assessing of the significance and detection of trends, and the sequential Mann test is used to detect any abrupt climate change. Statistically significant trends for annual mean and minimum temperatures are detected for almost all stations in the GTA. Winter is found to be the most coherent season contributing substantially to the increase in annual minimum temperature. The analyses of the abrupt changes in temperature suggest that the beginning of the increasing trend in Toronto started after the 1920s and then continued to increase to the 1960s. For all stations, there is a significant increase of annual and seasonal (particularly winter) temperatures after the 1980s. In terms of the linkage between urbanization and spatiotemporal thermal patterns, significant linear trends in annual mean and minimum temperature are detected for the period of 1878–1978 for the urban station, Toronto, while for the rural counterparts, the trends are not significant. Also, for all stations in the GTA that are situated in all directions except south of Toronto, substantial temperature change is detected for the periods of 1970–2000 and 1989–2000. It is concluded that the urbanization in the GTA has significantly contributed to the increase of the annual mean temperatures during the past three decades. In addition to urbanization, the influence of local climate, topography, and larger scale warming are incorporated in the analysis of the trends.

Influence of Glomerular Filtration Rate on the Pharmacokinetics of Cyclophosphamide Enantiomers in Patients With Lupus Nephritis

The pharmacokinetics of cyclophosphamide (CYC) enantiomers were evaluated in patients with lupus nephritis distributed in 2 groups according to creatinine clearance: group 1 (90.6-144.6 mL/min/1.73 m(2)) and group 2 (42.8-76.4 mL/min/1.73 m(2)). All patients were treated with 0.75 to 1.3 g of racemic CYC as a 2-hour infusion and with 1 mg intravenous midazolam as a drug-metabolizing marker. CYC enantiomers and midazolam concentrations in plasma were measured by liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). The following differences (Wilcoxon test, P < or = .05) were observed between the (S)-(-) and (R)-(+) enantiomers: AUC(0-infinity) 152.41 vs 129.25 microg.h/mL, CL 3.28 vs 3.89 L/h, Vd 31.38 vs 29.74 L, and t((1/2)) 6.79 vs 5.56 h for group 1 and AUC(0-infinity) 167.20 vs 139.08 microg.h/mL, CL 2.99 vs 3.59 L/h, and t((1/2)) 6.15 vs 4.99 h for group 2. No differences (Mann test, P < or = .05) were observed between groups 1 and 2 in the pharmacokinetic parameters of both enantiomers. No significant relationship was observed between midazolam clearance (2.92-16.40 mL/min.kg) and clearance of each CYC enantiomer. In conclusion, CYC kinetic disposition is enantioselective, resulting in higher exposures of the (S)-(-) enantiomer in lupus nephritis patients, and the pharmacokinetic parameters of both enantiomers are not altered by the worsening of renal condition.

The equilibrium funciton of 24 patients with idiopathic scoliosis was examined by stabilometry and other equilibrium tests (Romberg test, Mann test, gaze nystagmus test, positional and positioning nystagmus test, eye tracking test and optokinetic nystagmus test). In the group aged 10 to 15 years (18 patients), there was a fairly high correlation between the magnitude of Cobb's angle and the area of center of gravity movements. The magnitude of spinal rotation, as well as that of Cobb's angle, correlated well with the area of the center of gravity movements. On the other hand, in the group over 15 years of age (6 patients), the area of the center of gravity movements showed no significant correlation with Cobb's angle or spinal rotation. Eight of 24 patients (33%) had abnormal findings in the Mann test. Four of 24 patients (17%) showed diminution in the optokinetic nystagmus test. The other test results were normal in all patients. We conclude that stabilometry is a more quantitative test of equilibrium function in patients with idiopathic scoliosis than are other tests.

斜台髄膜腫症例の神経耳科学的検討 問診の重要性を痛感した後頭蓋か疾患

A 51-year-old female presented with bilateral high-pitched tinnitus of approximately 6 years' duration, during which period she had visited several otolaryngologists without relief. Examination revealed a mild left hearing loss but was otherwise normal. The patient subsequently related a 3-year history of staggering gait with a tendency to fall to the left and difficulty with intentional movements and numbness of her left hand, all of which were transient, episodic and reversible. These episodes strongly suggested an intracranial lesion rather than a peripheral inner ear disorder, necessitating a more detailed neurotologic examination. The patient had a normal Romberg test and slight imbalance to the left side on Mann's test. Routine position testing exhibited vertical nystagmus through Frenzel's spectacles. Electronystagmography revealed saccadic pursuit, recorded with CETT (Circular Eye Tracking Test), and an inhibited left OKP (Optokinetic Pattern test). These neurotological findings suggested pathologic changes in the left posterior cranial fossa. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance studies showed a large, spherical space-oc-cupying lesion in the posterior cranial fossa. The final diagnosis of clivus meningioma was made during cranialsurgery. This case illustrates the importance of a careful detailed history and neurotological examinations if suggested by the history.

高齢者におけるＢＰＰＶの平衡訓練効果と薬物療法の比較

We compared the effectiveness of 2 different therapies in elderly patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.Eighteen patients were treated with an anti-vertigo drug and 18 with vestibular training (VT) and the same drug. They were classified into Group B and VT + B, respectively.The background factors, such as age, severity in symptoms, degree of disturbance in examinations, et, were similar in the 2 groups.Vertigo, dizziness, unsteadiness in Mann's test and positional nystagmus improved significantly more in Group VT+B than in Group B. The global judgment in each group revealed that both marked and moderate improvement was significantly higher in Group VT+B than in Group B (P<0.01).It was concluded that vestibular training might be useful to improve symptoms and signs in benign paroxysmal positional vertigo even in aged patients.

Several applications show that this approach is of interest also in the general case.

New posture equilibrometer for the diagnosis of vestibular disease

The vestibulospinal level of vestibular function is commonly neglected in the evaluation of vertiginous patients. We have now developed a new posture equilibrometer. A transducer is placed on the head of the subject being tested. With this meter we can record body swaying, X (left-right) and Y (fore-aft) components of angular displacement, angular velocity, and angular acceleration. A detailed analysis of the data can be made by having patients keep their eyes either open or closed during the Romberg test. The head is turned left or right in this test, while the eyes are opened and closed in the Mann test. The posture equilibrometer has enabled us to evaluate more precisely vestibulospinal function and sensory interactions.
