We introduce leadership artistry as a promising approach in contemporary leadership studies. While we know leaders should rely on innovation, courage, and aspiration more than on duplicating historical patterns of pragmatism for leadership decision-making under uncertainty, we know little about how these processes achieve. In this paper, we define leadership artistry as a subject aspect of the leadership attributes and characterize its dimensions which are distinct from other leadership approaches. Additionally, we propose a semi-supervised machine learning approach to create an artistry dictionary. Finally, by applying a weighted word frequency measure, we illustrate that corporate top management team's leadership artistry does impact firm creativity performance, furthering our contribution to theory and practice.
