Assessing clinical and patient reported outcomes of Sironix suture anchors in rotator cuff and Bankart repair surgeries

BACKGROUND Rotator cuff tears and Bankart lesions significantly affect shoulder function and quality of life. Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and Bankart repair has become the standard treatment for restoring function and reducing pain. Recent advancements include new suture anchor technologies, such as the Sironix suture anchor known for its biomechanical strength and promising outcomes. However, there are limited real-world data on its effectiveness and safety, particularly in the Indian population. AIM To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Sironix suture anchors in rotator cuff and Bankart repair surgeries. METHODS Sixty participants underwent surgery between January 2021 and December 2022, and demographic data and postoperative outcomes were collected through retrospective reviews and telephonic interviews. Validated scales, including the PENN Shoulder Score (PSS), Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) score, and Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation (SANE), were utilized for assessment. RESULTS Treatment with Sironix suture anchor devices, including Ceptre Knotted UHMWPE Suture Titanium Anchor, Spyke Knotted UHMWPE Suture Peek Anchor, Stativ Knotted UHMWPE Suture Anchor, and Viplok Knotless Peek Screw Anchor with Titanium Tip, revealed no repair failures. Participants demonstrated high satisfaction and functional improvement, as evidenced by the mean Quick DASH score (32.01) and PSS (71.65) and the satisfactory SANE scores for both injured joints (74.33) and non-injured (83.67) shoulder joints. CONCLUSION The study yielded favorable outcomes for rotator cuff tear repair and Bankart repair. No repair failures were observed, supporting the safety and efficacy of these devices in shoulder injury management.

Medical Devices in the Region of Tuscany, Italy: Definitions of Innovative Devices and Potentially Innovative Devices and Their Impact on Procurement Decisions.

In the region of Tuscany in Italy, since 2019, medical devices belonging to risk classes 2b, 3, or active implantable have been managed by a multidisciplinary health-technology assessment body initially composed of eight members and extended to 23 members in 2022, thus creating the Centro Operativo. In 2021, an original algorithm for the identification of innovative devices based on objective criteria was developed and formally recognized over the following years. However, since these criteria identified only a small number of innovative devices, we tried to develop another algorithm aimed at identifying a new classification (called "potentially innovative device"), which was intended to be intermediate between full innovation and no innovation. Since preliminary analyses showed that objective criteria were not able to identify this intermediate classification, we relied on the expert opinion of the Centro Operativo for this purpose. In this article, we analyzed all the devices requested by Centro Operativo in the first half of 2024 for a total of 17 devices. Only one met the criteria of innovation and, therefore, was purchased; the other 11 were evaluated as adequate to be purchased based on clinical and/or economic reasons, whereas the remaining six did not. To create an operational relationship between these decisions and the definitions of innovativeness, the Centro Operativo explored a simple model wherein the 11 devices that failed to meet full innovativeness but were judged adequate to be purchased were classified as potentially innovative. In comparison, the remaining six devices were considered not innovative. On the one hand, we report the results of this preliminary experience; on the other hand, we plan to implement this form of management of high-technology devices into a regional regulation that will be applied for the next months in all hospitals of our region.

Use of a Novel Virtual Reality-Based Pupillography Device for Glaucoma Management: Cross-Sectional Cohort Pilot Study.

Current standard methods in monitoring glaucoma progression, like optical coherence tomography (OCT) and standard automated perimetry (SAP), have limitations in certain cases. Automated relative afferent pupillary defect (RAPD) and pupillary light reflex (PLR) testing may offer more objective alternatives. This pilot study aimed to evaluate whether RAPD could sufficiently distinguish between the two eyes in asymmetrical glaucoma, and thus could lay the foundation for using the PLR of a single eye to monitor progression longitudinally. Twenty-one patients underwent quantitative PLR measurements using a virtual reality headset. RAPD was calculated by subtracting the amplitude of PLRs between eyes. Both RAPD and relative SAP (measured using the mean defect or MD) results were correlated to the thickness of the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL), as measured by OCT. Data from 18 patients was analyzed after exclusions. RAPD significantly correlated with differences between the two eyes as measured by RNFL thickness (Pearson r = 0.79, p = 0.05). MD differences correlated slightly better with RNFL differences (Pearson r = 0.87, p < 0.05). RAPD and MD combined yielded an improved prediction of RNFL differences by 5% compared to using MD only. RAPD measurements reliably detected asymmetries in optic nerve damage in glaucoma patients. SAP measurements correlated better with OCT results than RAPD results. However, SAP and RAPD combined led to an improved prediction of RNFL thickness. This could possibly allow us to use PLR only over longer periods of time to monitor glaucomatous optic nerve damage in a single eye in the future.

Nature loofah network‐inspired rapid thermal‐conductive and thermochromic‐based nanocomposites for efficient heat management in advanced electronic devices

AbstractThe development of 5G technology has raised concerns about the heat buildup in microelectronic components, which can hinder device performance and integration. Inspired by the structure of loofah, we designed thermally conductive substrates using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and graphene oxide (GO) incorporated into copper foam (F‐Cu). We also created nano‐thermal management composites with organic thermochromic material‐GO/PDMS/F‐Cu. The composites had a thermal conductivity of 1.02 Wm−1 K−1 with 15 wt% content of (35‐, 45‐, and 65‐) organic thermochromic materials (OTM), showing efficient heat dissipation. Practical testing showed significantly improved cooling effects compared to pure copper foam, with a CPU temperature drop of 9.6°C. Additionally, the surface color changes at specific temperature thresholds, offering an innovative way to determine the temperature range of electronic devices. This material also provides a solution for monitoring the temperature of densely integrated electronic devices.Highlights Enables temperature visualization in microelectronics. The nanocomposite achieves a value of 1.08 Wm−1 K−1. Nanocomposites predict heat source temperature via thermochromic coating. The cyclic test exhibits commendable stability and reliability.

Hybrid Runge–Kutta and lattice Boltzmann methods: Three-dimensional study of magnetohydrodynamics effect on heat exchange of electronic devices

This study explores the impact of the magnetic field on heat transfer and entropy generation in a simulated electronic device using magnetohydrodynamic principles through a three-dimensional hybrid Runge–Kutta and lattice Boltzmann method. By varying Rayleigh number (Ra) from 103 to 106 and Hartmann number (Ha) between 0 and 100, the research evaluated the influence of these parameters on the average Nusselt number (⟨Nu⟩), heat exchange ratio (R), and entropy generation within a confined cavity. The results demonstrated that higher Ra values, particularly for Ra ≥105, significantly enhance convective heat transfer, as reflected by an increase in ⟨Nu⟩. However, introducing a magnetic field (Ha = 50, 100) diminishes this effect by damping fluid motion, resulting in a reduction of ⟨Nu⟩. The heat exchange ratio increases with Ra, reaching a peak value of 0.93 for Ha = 100 and Ra = 105, indicating improved heat dissipation under the magnetic influence. In terms of entropy generation, at low Ra (Ra = 103), thermal conduction is the predominant heat transfer mechanism, with entropy primarily generated due to thermal effects. As Ra increases to 106, the system shifted toward a convection-dominated regime, where entropy generated by viscous effects becomes more significant. Under stronger magnetic fields, particularly at Ha = 100, magnetic entropy generation emerges as a dominant factor, further increasing energy dissipation. These results suggested that magnetic fields can be strategically applied to optimize thermal management in electronic devices by controlling both heat transfer and entropy generation. The effectiveness of this approach, however, is highly dependent on the specific flow conditions and the strength of the applied magnetic field.

Simulation and non-similar analysis of magnetized SWCNT-MWCNT hybrid nanofluid flow in porous media using Darcy-Forchheimer-Brinkman model

The field of hybrid nanofluid transport through porous media holds immense promise for optimizing thermal processing and various thermodynamic applications. This study investigates the flow dynamics of a hybrid nanofluid, comprising water and a synergistic combination of single-walled and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT-MWCNT), as it traverses a vertically stretched porous surface. The mathematical modeling of this flow scenario considers the influential factors of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), viscous dissipation, heat sources, and ohmic heating. The Darcy-Forchheimer-Brinkman model is employed to capture the transport of fluid through the porous medium. Through the application of Local Non-Similarity (LNS) technique, the governing equations are converted into a dimensionless system and solved numerically using the robust bvp4c function in MATLAB. Interestingly, higher values of heat source parameter leads to a rising trend in the temperature profile, highlighting the intricate interplay between the thermal and fluid dynamic aspects of the system. This work provides valuable insights into the tailored design of hybrid nanofluids and porous media configurations to harness their enhanced thermal transport capabilities, with potential applications in diverse fields such as energy storage systems, heat exchangers, and thermal management devices. The findings contribute to the broader understanding of hybrid nanofluid transport in porous media and pave the way for the development of innovative thermal management solutions in a wide range of industrial and technological domains.

Educational needs of school health teachers caring for students with type 1 diabetes: An analysis using the Borich needs assessment and the locus for focus models

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify educational priorities to ensure school health teachers’ competencies in managing students’ type 1 diabetes.Methods: A secondary analysis of the data from a cross-sectional study involving 188 health teachers was conducted. Fourteen specific competencies were identified through a literature review. Using paired t-tests, differences between knowledge levels and perceived importance were analyzed. The Borich needs assessment measured the gap between knowledge and perceived importance, and the locus for focus model presented the priorities.Results: Of the participants, 75.5% (n=142) had experience caring for students with type 1 diabetes. The discrepancy between perceived importance and knowledge level regarding the “management of the latest diabetes devices” was found to be the most significant difference (t=18.36, p&lt;.001). High-priority competencies revealed by the Borich needs assessment and the locus for focus models included “latest guidelines,” “emergency management,” and “dietary management.” Prioritization differences were noted for the competencies “management of the latest diabetes devices,” “unique issues during the school life of children,” and “psychological issues;” the differences were dependent on the health teachers’ experience managing students with type 1 diabetes.Conclusion: An educational program for health teachers is needed to enhance their competencies in managing the latest diabetes devices, handling emergencies, addressing unique issues, and staying informed about the latest insights on type 1 diabetes. Tailored education should be provided based on health teachers’ experience in managing students with type 1 diabetes.

Phonon dispersion of buckled two-dimensional GaN

Group-III nitride semiconductors such as GaN have various important applications based on their three-dimensional form. Previous work has demonstrated the realization of buckled two-dimensional GaN, which can be used in GaN-based nanodevices. However, the understanding of buckled two-dimensional GaN remains limited due to the difficulties in experimental characterization. Here, for the first time, we have experimentally determined the phonon dispersion of buckled two-dimensional GaN by using monochromatic electron energy loss spectroscopy in conjunction with scanning transmission electron microscopy. A phonon band gap of ~40 meV between the acoustic and optical phonon branches is identified for buckled two-dimensional GaN. This phonon band gap is significantly larger than that of ~20 meV for the tetrahedral-coordinated three-dimensional GaN. Our theoretical calculations confirm this larger phonon band gap. Our findings provide critical insights into the phonon behavior of buckled two-dimensional GaN, which can be used to guide high-performance thermal management in GaN-based high-power devices.

Priority/Demand-Based Resource Management with Intelligent O-RAN for Energy-Aware Industrial Internet of Things

The last decade has witnessed the explosive growth of the internet of things (IoT), demonstrating the utilization of ubiquitous sensing and computation services. Hence, the industrial IoT (IIoT) is integrated into IoT devices. IIoT is concerned with the limitation of computation and battery life. Therefore, mobile edge computing (MEC) is a paradigm that enables the proliferation of resource computing and reduces network communication latency to realize the IIoT perspective. Furthermore, an open radio access network (O-RAN) is a new architecture that adopts a MEC server to offer a provisioning framework to address energy efficiency and reduce the congestion window of IIoT. However, dynamic resource computation and continuity of task generation by IIoT lead to challenges in management and orchestration (MANO) and energy efficiency. In this article, we aim to investigate the dynamic and priority of resource management on demand. Additionally, to minimize the long-term average delay and computation resource-intensive tasks, the Markov decision problem (MDP) is conducted to solve this problem. Hence, deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is conducted to address the optimal handling policy for MEC-enabled O-RAN architectures. In this study, MDP-assisted deep q-network-based priority/demanding resource management, namely DQG-PD, has been investigated in optimizing resource management. The DQG-PD algorithm aims to solve resource management and energy efficiency in IIoT devices, which demonstrates that exploiting the deep Q-network (DQN) jointly optimizes computation and resource utilization of energy for each service request. Hence, DQN is divided into online and target networks to better adapt to a dynamic IIoT environment. Finally, our experiment shows that our work can outperform reference schemes in terms of resources, cost, energy, reliability, and average service completion ratio.

To design a Dynamic Demand Response with Protective Facilitation Device that utilizes power electronics, specifically MOSFETs, to efficiently manage solar power. The system will supply energy to a home via an inverter and directly power a DC water pump from solar panels. It will include protection functionalities to isolate the load in case of faults such as overload, overvoltage, and undervoltage.

Polyethylene glycol/carboxymethyl cellulose/montmorillonite composite phase change materials for thermal management

The fabrication of composite phase change materials (CPCMs) with excellent shape stability, reasonable thermal conductivity and good mechanical properties using simple process to obtain an effective energy storage and conversion maintains an issue of the utmost importance. In this work, carboxymethylcellulose sodium (CMC)/montmorillonite (MMT) aerogels with various MMT loading is initially prepared by gelation and freeze-drying technique. The prepared CMC/MMT aerogels have a uniformly distributed pore structure, of which the compressive strength can reach 26.4 kPa when the MMT loading content is 40 wt%. When the MMT loading content is 40 wt%, the thermal conductivity of the PEG/CMC/40MMT CPCM can reach up to 0.78 W/m·K, which is 225 % higher than that of pure PEG. In particular, the rigid CMC/MMT composite aerogel is conducive to the storage of PEG, obtaining a maximum loading percentage of 96.8 %, phase change enthalpy of 179.2 J/g, and high enthalpy efficiency of 98.6 % for CMC/40MMT aerogel. The rigid supporting matrix and adsorption capacity of the CMC/MMT framework meliorate the shape stability and cyclic stability during the phase transition, which can also cool the surface temperature of a simulated central processing unit (CPU) from 90 °C to 54.7 °C. In summary, the as-prepared novel PEG/CMC/40MMT CPCM offers a novel strategy for thermal management of next-generation electronic devices.

A flexible and superhydrophobic PVDF-HFP@PVA bilayer enables high-performance radiative cooling and thermal management

Passive radiative cooling which dissipates heat from surfaces by reflecting sunlight and emitting radiation towards outer space, has garnered growing attention as an eco-friendly cooling strategy with zero-energy consumption. However, few studies focus on low-cost and multifunctional composite film fabricated by a straightforward and environmentally friendly method that is crucial for their large-scale applications. Herein, we introduce a facile, efficient, and scalable approach to fabricate a hydrophobic and polymer-dielectric poly (vinylidene fluoride)-hexafluoropropylene (P(VDF-HFP)@PVA hydrogel Janus film (DPP), exhibiting exceptional radiative cooling and thermal management capabilities for diverse practical applications. With the introduction of ZnO, DPP showcases the optical capability with a solar reflectance of ≈93 % and an infrared emittance of ≈96 %, endowing it with remarkable radiative cooling performance. The synergistic integration of hydrogel phase change and radiation cooling capabilities offered by the P(VDF-HFP) layer enables the DPP to achieve a subambient cooling of 8.62 °C under direct sunlight. Moreover, when applied to the thermal management of electronic devices and fruit preservation due to the phase change property, the DPP effectively reduced surface temperatures by 10 °C and 15.5 °C respectively. Its simplicity and versatility suggest that it could be widely adopted for daytime passive radiation cooling, thereby expanding its practical applications across various fields.

Experimental study of the flow boiling heat transfer characteristics of teardrop-like micro-pin-finned chip surface in semi-open microchannel

Phase change flow boiling heat transfer in microchannel is a very efficient thermal management mode for high-power electronics/devices. However, it is still a challenge to achieve comprehensive enhancement of flow boiling heat transfer performance at low power consumption. Herein, we devised and manufactured a set of teardrop-like micro-pin-finned chip surfaces, demonstrating their exceptional enhancement in flow boiling heat transfer efficiency within semi-open microchannels with negligible pumping energy input. Benefiting from the effective expansion area, the pinning effect and the streamlined bionic structure of the micro-pin-fins, the staggered teardrop-like micro-pin-finned surface (S37) exhibits simultaneous enhancement of critical heat flux (CHF) and heat transfer coefficients (HTC). The CHF and HTC peaks reached 414.1 W/cm² and 42,153.3 W/m²·K, with maximum enhancement ratios of 52.8 % and 78.1 % relative to the smooth surface. A nearly linear improvement in the heat flux (from 93.1 to 414.1 W/cm², enhanced by 447.8 %) is observed within a minimal fluctuation in wall temperatures, not exceeding 10 °C. The semi-open microchannels provide ample space for boiling nucleation bubbles to move efficiently, enhancing heat transfer performance while maintaining a very low pressure drop (≤1.2 kPa) and without increasing power consumption. In situ observation and analysis of the boiling bubble dynamics indicated teardrop-like micro-pin-finned chip promotes the phase change heat exchange process by massive nucleation sites, and effective control of boiling bubbles by pinning effect. These findings not only provide guidance for the rational design of boiling heat transfer-enhanced surfaces and heat sinks, but also point the way to achieving efficient thermal management of power devices.

Single-center initial experience with a new pulsed-field ablation system:pulmonary vein isolation lesions and beyond.

Pulsed-field ablation (PFA) is a newer energy delivery method, an alternative to thermal lesion, allowing for safe and durable pulmonary vein isolation in the context of atrial fibrillation ablation. Graded tissue sensitivity allows for specifically targeting atrial cardiomyocytes, rendering collateral damage to nearby nerves and vessels unlikely. In the present rapid communication, we report on our center's initial experience with a novel PFA platform and describe the ways in which it can be used targeting sites beyond PV ostia and antra, in the context of atrial fibrillation/flutter/tachycardia ablation, alone or in conjunction with a mainstream 3-dimensional electroanatomical mapping system (3D-EAM). More specifically, the exploratory application of PFA in the vicinity of pacemaker/defibrillator leads may prove of particular significance for clinical practice, given the frequent need to isolate the superior vena cava in patients bearing a transvenous cardiac rhythm management device.

Implementing Enterprise-Scale iOS MDM : A Technical Deep Dive

As organizations increasingly adopt mobile technologies, the need for effective remote management of iOS devices has grown significantly. This technical article examines implementation strategies and real-world performance metrics from a study of Mobile Device Management (MDM) implementations across 12 diverse organizations, encompassing 2,500 enterprise devices during 2023-2024. The article reveals that optimized MDM solutions can achieve 99.99% uptime while reducing infrastructure costs by up to 45%. Key findings demonstrate that effective MDM implementation reduces device management costs by 64%, improves security compliance rates to 99.3%, and decreases incident response time by 73%. Through automated troubleshooting and optimization, organizations experienced a 67% reduction in security incidents and a 42% decrease in IT support overhead while achieving 85% reduction in deployment time and 82% acceleration in app deployment processes. The article comprehensively evaluates architecture design, deployment metrics, security implementation, performance analysis, and scalability considerations. Implementation of advanced security protocols resulted in a 98.7% prevention rate for common mobile security threats, while maintaining 99.99% system reliability. The article also highlights the importance of phased deployment strategies, which demonstrate 43% higher success rates compared to direct full-scale implementations, and provides strategic insights for future planning and infrastructure optimization.

IMPLEMENTATION OF OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF UAV SWARM

Now the use of copter-type UAVs in various sectors of the economy is economically justified and sometimes has no alternative. The next step toincrease the efficiency of such technology is the use of groups of UAVs united by a single task. If such groups contain a large number of deviceslocated quite densely, they are called swarms. A clear, well-known example of the use of swarms of quadcopters is the creation of visual images in thesky and their transformation according to a certain program. Obviously, the possibilities of such structures are much wider and they have very goodprospects in the future. But in order to realize such opportunities, it is necessary to solve a number of problems, starting with methods of obtaining andexchanging current information between group members, ending with strategic planning and operational management of individual devices. Thesetasks are burdened by additional conditions of safety and optimal functioning. This article considers the modeling of the optimal reconfiguration of alarge group of UAVs from the actual initial state to the desired final state. For each device, the final point to which it will move is determined. Such aproblem does not have a unique solution, therefore an optimality criterion was added – the duration of complete reconfiguration, which must beminimized. The task is considered under conditions of the same and constant flight speed of all copter-type UAVs. Analysis of all options isimpossible, because the computational complexity of such a method is proportional to the N factorial, where N is the number of UAVs in the group. Aquasi-optimal method has been developed, the complexity of which is proportional to N. Statistical modeling has proven its effectiveness, which canbe compared with the effectiveness of the optimal method. Indirect estimates of its effectiveness in the general case were also obtained. Specificexamples of swarm reconfiguration are considered. The algorithm for preventing collisions of UAVs while moving along designated trajectories isdescribed and studied. The obtained results are an integral part of the set of tasks for navigation and control of UAVs in the conditions of a large densegroup.

Enhancing Thermal Management of Graphene Devices by Self-Assembled Monolayers.

Two-dimensional graphene has emerged as a promising competitor to silicon in the post-Moore era due to its superior electrical, optical, and thermal properties. However, graphene undergoes a strong degradation in its in-plane thermal conductivity when it is coupled to an amorphous substrate. Meanwhile, the weak van der Waals interaction between graphene and the dielectric substrate leads to high interfacial thermal resistance. Severe challenges in the device's heat dissipation rise, resulting in elevated hotspot and deteriorated electrical performance. Here, we applied self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) to modify the interface between graphene and the oxide substrate and mitigate the thermal issues in the device. The -NH2 terminated SAM demonstrates enhanced interfacial coupling strength between graphene and substrate, increasing the interfacial thermal conductance. The -CH3 terminated SAM effectively suppresses the substrate phonon scattering, preserving the high in-plane thermal conductivity of graphene. Particularly, the -NH2 terminated SAM significantly enhances the heat dissipation efficacy of graphene field-effect transistors and alleviates the self-heating issues. Enhancements of 28.1% and 48.2% were observed in the devices' current-carrying capacity and maximum power density, respectively. Our research provides a highly attractive platform for incorporating SAMs to improve thermal management in two-dimensional electronic devices.

Combined optimization strategy: CUBW for load balancing in software defined network

Software Defined Network (SDN) facilitates a centralized control management of devices in network, which solves many issues in the old network. However, as the modern era generates a vast amount of data, the controller in an SDN could become overloaded. Numerous investigators have offered their opinions on how to address the issue of controller overloading in order to resolve it. Mostly the traditional models consider two or three parameters to evenly distribute the load in SDN, which is not sufficient for precise load balancing strategy. Hence, an effective load balancing model is in need that considers different parameters. Considering this aspect, this paper presents a new load balancing model in SDN is introduced by following three major phases: (a) work load prediction, (b) optimal load balancing, and (c) switch migration. Initially, work load prediction is done via improved Deep Maxout Network. COA and BWO are conceptually combined in the proposed hybrid optimization technique known as Coati Updated Black Widow (CUBW). Then, the optimal load balancing is done via hybrid optimization named Coati Updated Black Widow (CUBW) Optimization Algorithm. The optimal load balancing is done by considering migration time, migration cost, distance and load balancing parameters like server load, response time and turnaround time. Finally, switch migration is carried out by considering the constraints like migration time, migration cost, and distance. The migration time of the proposed method achieves lower value, which is 27.3%, 40.8%, 24.40%, 41.8%, 42.8%, 42.2%, 40.0%, and 41.6% higher than the previous models like BMO, BES, AOA, TDO, CSO, GLSOM, HDD-PLB, BWO and COA respectively. Finally, the performance of proposed work is validated over the conventional methods in terms of different analysis.

Vapor separation in minichannel heat sink flow boiling application using gradient porous copper ribs

The accumulation of a significant amount of vapor in minichannels severely limits their flow boiling heat transfer performance, posing a challenge for efficient thermal management in high-power electronic devices. To address this issue, we propose an innovative gradient porous copper rib minichannel with a vapor separation function. This design incorporates micro-pore porous copper and open-cell porous copper, where the unique structure of the micro-pore porous copper is crucial for achieving effective vapor separation. This innovative design not only expands the vapor discharge pathways within the minichannel but also significantly enhances the overall efficiency of vapor removal. Using water as the working fluid, flow boiling experiments were conducted across a range of mass fluxes (G = 26.1 kg/(m2s) ∼ 156.9 kg/(m2s)) and heat fluxes (qeff = 38.2 kW/m2 ∼ 267.5 kW/m2). The experimental results demonstrate that vapor separation significantly alleviates backflow and enhances heat transfer performance. Specifically, our findings indicate that the average temperature of the heat transfer surface decreases by 0 to 10 °C, while the maximum heat transfer coefficient increases by 2.3 times compared to conventional designs. This work presents a practical and innovative approach to mitigating vapor accumulation in minichannels, providing valuable insights for the design of high-performance minichannel heat sinks.
