Akselerasi Pembelajaran Tahfiz Pada Lembaga Pendidikan Al Quran Di Fath Darut Tafsir Sukawangi Bogor

This research is motivated by the author's interest in three things that are problems regarding learning tahfiz Al-Quran. First, an Al-Quran educational institution with an Al-Quran tahfiz program must prepare professional policies in tahfiz learning strategies and infrastructure so that the goals of Al-Quran tahfiz are achieved as determined. Second, the process of learning tahfiz Al-Quran really requires the right approach, methods and evaluation, so that learning runs well and smoothly without any significant obstacles in achieving success. Third, accelerated learning of Al-Quran tahfiz is really needed by students because there are many branches of knowledge that need to be studied afterwards, both religious knowledge (such as tafsir, fiqh, etc.) or general knowledge. This research aims to (1) analyze the effectiveness of Islamic boarding school leaders' strategies and policies in accelerating the learning of Al-Quran tahfiz. (2) Examining strategies for learning Al-Quran tahfiz at Islamic boarding schools. (3) Finding the main success factors in accelerating learning of Al-Quran tahfiz in Islamic boarding schools.In connection with the problem raised by the author, namely the acceleration of tahfiz learning at Al-Quran educational institutions at the Fath Darut Tafsir Islamic Boarding School, the author uses qualitative research methods at the Fath Darut Tafsir Islamic Boarding School to encourage discipline among students, so that the UTQ Tahfidz Qur'an acceleration program ('Uzlah Tahfidz Qur'an) at the Fath Darut Tafsir Islamic Boarding School runs smoothly. This program was attended by all Islamic boarding school elements from santri & female students, totaling around 150 people, 17 Ustadz & Ustadzah as Musyrif or Musyrifah halaqah of the Qur'an. In the UTQ program, 17 halaqahs will be made for 150 santri and female students with a target of 10 days to get 5 new Juz memorized, and it is hoped that if the students have participated in this UTQ event 6 times they will be able to complete memorizing 30 Juz of the Qur'an.As a result of the UTQ Program, a total of 30 students managed to memorize 5 new juz with a percentage of 20% of the students who took part in the accelerated program. Meanwhile, 15 santri and santriwati managed to memorize more than 5 juz if the percentage was 10%, and those who managed to memorize 4 juz were 40% and less than 4 juz were 30%.

A Comprehensive Analysis of Game Success: Synergy Between Quality, Brand, and Market

This study scrutinizes the important factors behind the success of video games,Targeting a comprehensive paradigm which merges game quality, brand influence, and market strategies. By investigating the top 100 best-selling titles on Steam, the research looks into the interconnections between creative gameplay, the depth of storytelling, audiovisual quality, and sales results. Analysis of quantitative regression shows that although game quality is important, it is not the main factor for success. A qualitative assessment of high-priced, low-rated games including Overwatch 2 and NBA 2K25, and high-rated, low-selling games like Stardew Valley and Euro Truck Simulator 2, shows how significant brand loyalty, multiplayer interaction, and market segmentation are. This study demonstrates the value of original gameplay, successful marketing approaches, and technological innovations, like VR and superior graphics, in increasing sales and supporting player retention. The results provide key understanding for game developers and marketers who want to improve game performance in a cutthroat and rapidly evolving market.

Framework for evaluating the successful implementation of solar home systems in public housing projects in the United Arab Emirates

Successful planning and implementation of solar home systems (SHS) remains a significant challenge for government agencies, particularly from economic and sustainability perspectives. This study aims to develop a stakeholder-based framework for evaluating SHS programs in the public housing sector of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A mixed-method approach was employed, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data collection. A comprehensive review of SHS was conducted to identify the main global success factors for implementing the system in public housing projects. Subsequently, a structured questionnaire was distributed to 56 specialized participants comprising institutional stakeholders involved in SHS implementation in the UAE, leading to the identification of the critical success factors (CSF). Furthermore, 24 domain experts validated the data through focused group interviews. The findings indicate that the success of SHS programs is significantly influenced by regional factors, with stakeholders playing a pivotal role in defining the success factors. The research identified 44 potential CSFs, categorized into six fundamental groups: political, economic, technical, social, environmental, and marketing. Among these, economic factors were the most significant in the UAE, followed by technical, political, environmental, marketing, and social aspects. Government support was identified as the most CSF, followed by annual savings, maintenance and monitoring, installation quality, and payback period. The proposed framework emphasizes the government's role as the primary stakeholder, guiding the evaluation of success based on specific goals and performance metrics. Each stakeholder's unique success factors are weighted to reflect their importance, and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method is employed to derive key performance indicators (KPI) for consistent success measurement. This study provides a robust tool for stakeholders to assess and compare the success of different SHS programs by considering region-specific factors. It is intended to help UAE policymakers and government authorities make decisions, ensuring more effective SHS implementation, with the potential to be applied in the other Gulf Cooperation Council Countries that share similar environmental, economic, and political conditions.

Critical Success Factors for Public–Private Partnerships in Urban Regeneration Projects

Public–Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements are used in different sectors in the provision of infrastructure and public services. The use of PPP agreements in urban regeneration projects, although more recent, has been gaining prominence in different contexts. However, in many cases, PPP projects have a controversial implementation, often not achieving the proposed objectives and presenting negative results. Their controversial implementation is the result of a lack of knowledge and lack of application of the best practices and Critical Success Factors (CSFs) associated with them. Based on this, the present study aims to identify and analyze the CSFs for PPP arrangements in urban regeneration projects. The study was conducted in two distinct parts. The first part consists of a literature review on the PPP CSFs in general. The second part consists of the development of a questionnaire seeking to identify the CSFs of PPP arrangements for urban regeneration projects. Based on the literature review and the questionnaire answers, the main success factors of PPP projects for urban regeneration were identified and structured in the framework with five main clusters: two related to the external environment (enabling environment and exogenous factors) and three related to the internal environment (preparation phase, procurement phase, and contract management phase).

Examining trade strategies in Europe and Ukraine: Navigating challenges and building economic strength

Today, the global community operates within an integrated global economic system. Against the backdrop of globalised integration of the socio-economic sphere, international trade is positioned as a significant factor in the intensification of economic development. In this context, trade strategies can create new opportunities or risks for the national economy. This article aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the trade strategies of the European Union (EU) and Ukraine in the context of potential advantages and related challenges for economic resilience. The study finds that international trade helps to mitigate the limitations of national resource potential and the narrowness of the domestic market, intensifies the potential for innovative industrialisation, and accelerates economic growth. The specifics of forming the modern concept of international trade development in the context of the European community and Ukraine are identified. The main principles of modern trade strategies are considered, their strengths and weaknesses are analysed, and directions for improvement are highlighted. The impact of trade strategies on the level of economic resilience is examined. It is substantiated that a high level of competition in the global market requires the adaptability of producers’ trade strategies and the formation of appropriate structures to coordinate the functioning of the external economic relations infrastructure complex. The main success factors of a trading strategy when entering new markets are highlighted, including preliminary research of local legislation requirements and market dynamics, the development of adaptive marketing strategies, and effective management of customs processes. Active participation in the international trade environment has proven to open additional opportunities for realising economic potential. At the same time, it is necessary to specify the development strategy to ensure long-term competitive advantages.

Penerapan Lima Prinsip Dasar Pesantren Tebuireng dalam Membentuk Karakter Santri di Pesantren Tebuireng Jombang

The Five Basic Principles of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School is the main motto used by the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School in implementing the character of its students. These five characters are a summary of the seventh supervisor of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School (KH. Salahuddin Wahid) which he took from one of the books written by Hadratus Shaykh KH. Muhammad Hasyim Asy;ari, namely in the book "Adabul 'Alim wal Muta'alim". The five characters are 1) Sincerity, 2) Honesty, 3) Responsibility, 4) Hard work, 5) Tolerance. The focus of this research is: 1) the concept of the five basic principles of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, 2) the application of the five basic principles of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School to the character formation of students, 3) supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of the five basic principles of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School. In this research, the author uses a qualitative type of research with a case study research approach. Data was collected using three techniques, namely: 1). Interview. 2). Observation, 3). Documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking techniques use several things including: extending participation and triangulation.The results of this research are: 1). The application of the Five Basic Principles of Tebuireng is one of the strategies used in education to shape the character of students. The administrators and supervisors carry out their duties in accordance with the main tasks and functions that have been determined by the Islamic boarding school, providing understanding and evaluation to the students is the main factor in success in forming the character of the students, 2). The application of the Five Basic Principles of Tebuireng in forming the character of the students is based on the room supervisor system, then strengthened by the boarding school administrators and supported by bandongan studies by the caregivers using the book "Adabul 'Alim wal Muta'alim", 3). Supporting factors in the implementation of the Five Basic Principles of Tebuireng are the role of Islamic boarding school caregivers who review and explain in detail the source books of the founder of Tebuireng Islamic boarding school, as well as the system of guiding one person in each room. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the existence of several supervisors who have different ideas in implementing the room program and the lack of maximum performance by several supervisors in carrying out the main duties and functions of the Islamic boarding school

Remodeling Classroom Management Through Technology Driven Curriculum In Nigeria: A Sociological Analysis

Remodeling the classroom management through technology driven curriculum will assist teachers to the global requirement to replace traditional teaching methods with a technology-based teaching and learning tools and facilities. In Nigeria, Remodeling the classroom management through technology driven curriculum is considered as one of the main elements in transforming the country to the future development. The conceptual clarification utilizes the remodeling of the classroom management, technology, and education as the tools affecting remodeling classroom management through technology driven curriculum in Nigeria. The theoretical perspectives that is used for the paper is Humanist choice theory by William Glasser in the year 1998. The concept of remodeling classroom management and relevance of technology driven curriculum in Nigeria is the basic or fundamental impact to the success of this paper. The Ministry of Education, through the latest Education Blue print (2013-2025), insights the importance of technology-based teaching and learning into the schools’ national curriculum. This study of the paper aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions on effectiveness of upgrading the classroom management through technology driven curriculum to support teaching and learning process in classroom. The results indicate that remodeling the classroom through technology driven curriculum has a great effectiveness for both teachers and the students. Findings indicate that teachers’ well-equipped preparation with technology driven curriculum tools and facilities is one the main factors in success of technology-based in remodeling the classroom management for sound teaching and learning. It was also found that professional development training programs for teachers also played a key role in enhancing students’ quality learning. For the future studies, there is a need for consideration of other aspects of remodeling classroom especially from management point of view in regard to strategic planning and policy making through technology driven curriculum.

The Antecedents, Consequences and Key Determinants of Corporate Accelerators’ Success: A Systematic Literature Review

Over the past decade, accelerators have demonstrated their pivotal contribution to the economic and entrepreneurial ecosystem growth. In recent years, a large number of businesses and organizations use corporate accelerators to internalize opportunities provided by startups and idea generators outside the organization. Although this phenomenon has received much attention, especially in Iran, there are still many unclear points regarding the structure, processes, and acceleration programs. In this article, we did a systematic review of 49 articles out of 486 articles published in different journals in the last 5 years. Then, through the PRISMA method, the reviewed data was converted into a structured format in Excel software. At the end, we examined the findings of this study by presenting a conceptual framework detailing the antecedents and consequences of corporate accelerators. Also, in this research, we found that the five main success factors of corporate accelerators are the acceleration program, the creation of a large and committed external communication network, mentoring, the determination of accurate evaluation criteria and the competitive process in selecting startups.

O RETORNO AO TRABALHO E AO SERVIÇO MILITAR DE ADULTOS AMPUTADOS: UMA REVISÃO DE ESCOPO

The rehabilitation of adult amputees involves, among other objectives, the return to work. In this sense, the present study seeks to investigate how the return to work and the return to military service occur for adults who have undergone amputation, identifying the factors of success and analyzing the impact of Occupational Therapy. This is a scoping review that follows the guide for scoping reviews from the Joanna Briggs Institute and includes 22 articles for final data analysis and collection. The following factors related to successful return to the labor market after amputation were identified: male gender; younger age; use of prosthesis; lower pain levels; unilateral amputations; availability of accessible infrastructure in the workplace; job function adaptations and assistive technologies; and administrative positions. Regarding the return to military service, the rank within the army was shown to be the main determinant in the individual's return to service. It is noteworthy that several demands pointed out by the studies regarding the rehabilitation process and return to work can be addressed by occupational therapists, such as the adaptation of prostheses for the specific tasks of the individual, analysis and adaptation of the work environment, pain management and reduction, work activity training, and spiritual support, since beliefs related to the sacred were indicated as the main factor of success for rehabilitation. However, only two articles mention Occupational Therapy, and in both, the service is characterized as inefficient.

Study on Basic Requirements and Critical Success Factors (CSF) of Implementing Availability Payment in Public-Private Partnership (AP PPP) in Regency/Municipal Government

Referring to PPP Books 2017-2023 issued by The Ministry of National Development Planning of Indonesia, there is only 1 out of 16 AP PPP projects at the municipal/regency level that have successfully reached the operational stage (6% success rate), i.e. Madiun Regency Public Street Lighting. Several municipal/regency AP PPP projects have failed, for example, Bandung Municipal Public Street Lighting. The widespread failures indicate that the application of AP in regional infrastructure has so far not been successful in Indonesia. This paper aims to identify the basic requirements, critical success factors, and lessons learned from AP PPP implementation in Municipal/Regency Governments. Thus, it is hoped that the future provision of regional infrastructure with the AP scheme can proceed seamlessly. This study used a mixed-method approach that combines qualitative and quantitative data from literature reviews, questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed that the basic requirements for AP PPP include the existence of regulations and institutions. The five main success factors of AP PPP in the Municipal/Regency Government are (1) a well-organized and committed public agency; (2) political support; (3) favorable and efficient legal framework; (4) stable political and economic situation; and (5) public and private sector commitments and responsibilities. The lesson learned from the case study is that fiscal capacity is not the main factor in the success of PPP in Madiun Regency, but rather the willingness of the local government to implement PPP by regularly holding capacity building and maintaining good relationships and communication with each stakeholder involved.

Application of artificial intelligence technology in monitoring students' health: Preliminary results of Syiah Kuala Integrated Medical Monitoring (SKIMM).

Health promoting university is a holistic approach to health that uses higher education settings to create a learning environment that improves the health and well-being of the campus community in a sustainable manner. The utilization of technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) could be one of the main success factors in the implementation of health-promoting universities to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of all stages of activities carried out in health promotion and prevention efforts. Integrated monitoring with the utilization of AI in this program is conducted to evaluate the health status of the students. The Syiah Kuala Integrated Medical Monitoring (SKIMM) has three components of continuous health status evaluation: vital signs, nutritional status, and burnout status. Health status monitoring was conducted continuously for three months among medical students at the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This system uses the WhatsApp application as a platform to monitor health status. Student health monitoring in this program consists of two main activities: the health measurement phase and the health monitoring phase. The use of the SKIMM system to monitor students' vital signs, nutritional status and burnout status through the use of AI significantly raises students' awareness to conduct timely self-examination and enables sustainable healthy lifestyle behavior change. The adoption of AI technology allows for continuous health promotion to the entire academic community, including students in implementing the health promoting university.

SUCCES FACTORS AND OBSTACLES IN IMPLEMENTING INTERCOMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

The present paper aims to determine the success factors and obstacles in implementing intercommunity development projects through associations of public authorities. Intercommunity cooperation institutionalizes the cooperation between two or more local public authorities, allowing them to jointly administer certain important services, and in recent years this type of cooperation has been on an upward trend in Europe as well as in Romania. The study is empirical and the research is quantitative, the results reflecting the responses to a questionnaire applied to public authorities members of an intercommunity development association. The first part of the study focuses on literature review, most relevant researches in the field being presented as well as the differences between the existing studies and the present one. The study continues with the analysis of the main success factors and barriers in implementing intercommunity development projects based on the results obtained from the questionnaire applied. The results of the questionnaire were interpreted using the Excel analysis tool. In the end, the main conclusions are drawn, as well as possible future research directions that can complement the present study. The results of the research are useful for improving intercommunity development projects on all levels: preparation, management, communication, implementation, results and final beneficiaries, and to overcome obstacles that have been identified.

Investing in Education and Scientific Research for Growth of Iraq: Exploring the Main Dimensions, Success Factors, and Government Policies

The research aims to explore the dynamics of investment in education and scientific research and their influence on Iraq's economic growth. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach, the study focuses on various dimensions of education and research investment, including quality education, vocational training, funding, infrastructure, collaboration, and government policies. The data was collected through a comprehensive survey, designed based on international standards and tailored to the specific context of Iraq. The survey garnered 191 valid responses from a diverse range of stakeholders in Iraq's education and research sectors, including educators, policymakers, academic researchers, and institutional representatives. The statistical analysis was carried out using specialized software (Amos.V24 and SPSS.V26), incorporating methods such as arithmetic averages, standard deviation, coefficient of difference, and relative importance. The study also includes visual representations such as bar charts and heat maps to elucidate the findings. The most prominent result emphasizes the strong positive correlation between investment in education, research, and economic development in Iraq. It underscores the necessity for a concerted effort to improve education quality, fostering scientific research, and aligning it with the country's economic development goals. The findings affirm that strategic investment in education and research can catalyze Iraq's growth and progress.

Comparing Hip Muscle Imbalances of Professional Football Players and Ordinary People

Background and Aims Muscle strength is one of the main factors in athletic success, injury prevention, and optimal rehabilitation for injured athletes. Also, the symmetry of the muscle strength ratio is fundamental to maintaining force-producing torques. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate and compare hip muscle imbalances in football athletes and normal individuals. Methods The current research is causal-comparative. Fifteen football players and 15 normal healthy individuals volunteered for the study. Then, their flexor, extensor, abductor, adductor and internal and external rotator strengths were assessed using a hand-held strength test. Results The present study showed a significant difference in the ratios of extensor to flexor muscle strength, adductor to abductor, and internal to external rotator strength between the dominant and non-dominant thigh (P<0.05). In addition, significant differences were observed in thigh muscle strength between football players and ordinary people (P<0.05). Conclusion According to the results of the present study, the nature of football in greater use of the dominant leg can lead to an imbalance in the strength ratio of the agonist and antagonist muscles in the hip joint between the dominant and non-dominant limbs. Therefore, it is recommended that corrective exercises and movements be used for the antagonist part that caused an imbalance in muscle strength to reduce the possibility of injury in the future.

Peran Guru Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Pembelajaram Tata Cara Wudhu pada Siswa Sekolah Khusus Tunarungu Don Bosco Wonosobo

This thesis aims to: 1) Find out the concept of Islamic religious education teachers in learning ablution procedures for students at the special school for the deaf, Don Bosco Wonosobo, 2) Find out what the role of Islamic religious education teachers is in learning ablution procedures for students at the special school for the deaf, Don Bosco Wonosobo. , 3) knowing how to carry out learning ablution procedures for students at the Don Bosco Wonosobo special school for the deaf.This thesis uses a qualitative research approach where the type of research is field research presented with descriptive data. The subjects in this research were Islamic religious education teachers at the Don Boso special school, the principal of the Don Bosco special school and also students at the Don Bosco special school. Technique data collection uses observation methods, semi-structured interviews and also documentation. Data sources were obtained from field research and also qualitative research. The analysis technique used is a data analysis technique, namely the analysis of data that has been collected by researchers through methodological tools. Where data is obtained using a data analysis process in the form of data reduction, data presentation and also conclusions or verification. To test the validity of the data, extended observations, persistence of observations, and triangulation were carried out. The research results show that the concept of Islamic religious education teachers at the Don Bosco special school regarding learning ablution procedures is to emphasize the repetition method where students with hearing impairments have quite short memories which requires teachers to take steps by having students perform ablution practices one by one. The role of the Islamic religious education teacher at the Don Bosco special school is the main factor in students' success in carrying out daily worship, for example introducing ablution material from the pre-primary class. Then, with the implementation of learning about ablution procedures carried out by Don Bosco special school students using the repetition method as well as practice carried out in each learning activity with the aim of increasing students' memory regarding the steps for ablution and also the number of washings in each movement. By practicing ablution one by one, the teacher can find out where each student's mistakes are.

Web Application “Taxi Service Search System” as Processes Digitalisation Element оn the Taxi Market

Information technology and its use have become an important factor in the development of various sectors of the economy, science, education, and transport. The taxi market is one of the industries that has experienced a significant impact of digitalisation. The introduction of digital (information) technologies, the emergence of web applications for ordering transport, changes in consumer preferences, and increased competition have led to significant changes in this sector. The purpose of the article is to analyse and study the problems of developing software for a relevant web application (as an element of digitalisation of processes in the taxi market) and its use to optimise the business processes of a taxi service and increase the level of satisfaction (comfort) of customers who make an online taxi order and receive the corresponding transport service. The research methods of the study are the main methodological approaches and technological tools for developing web applications. These methods include, in particular: systemic and comparative analyses to identify the features of creating scalable and high-performance web applications; the method of expert assessments, which involves analysing literature and information resources, conducting interviews and surveys of experts, as well as the processes of developing and testing scalable and high-performance web applications. The novelty of the study is the analysis of modern technologies for developing platforms for supporting business processes in the taxi market, the results of which can be used to develop an in-house software product for supporting taxi services, which can become a full-fledged assistant to the user in obtaining the appropriate transport service for passenger or freight transportation. The conclusion of the study is to determine the impact of digitalisation on the taxi market. The paper analyses the state of the taxi market in Ukraine, reviews the main modes of operation of taxi services, and highlights the main transformations that the taxi market has undergone as a result of digitalisation and the use of relevant information technologies. The paper identifies the main success factors and problems of the taxi market in the context of digitalisation and proposes solutions to increase the competitiveness of taxi services, including, in particular: improving existing or developing new digital platforms for the provision of services by taxi services; adapting existing web services to changes in consumer preferences; adapting business processes of taxi services to changes in consumer preferences. The author’s web application “Taxi Service Search System” is described as an element of digitalisation of the taxi market. Further ways to improve the web application “Taxi Service Search System” are identified.

Success factors and obstacles in the implementation of competence-oriented teaching in surgery

For successful competence-oriented teaching at the medical faculties it is important to identify the factors that influence its implementation in order to benefit from the strengths and balance out weaknesses. The present study examined the success factors and obstacles of the implementation of competence-oriented teaching in the surgical discipline from the point of view of students and lecturers. After implementation of competence-oriented teaching based on the teaching goals of the NKLM, in clinical examination courses (bedside teaching and block internship, BP) at two hospitals, aqualitative content analysis and quantification of the answers were performed using focus group interviews and questionnaires with students (S)and lecturers(D). During the summer semester 2022 a total of 31students and 14lecturers were interviewed in focus groups and 143 questionnaires (123S, 20D) were analyzed. For the students the presence of concrete competences/teaching goals, guidelines for the lesson, transparent goals and ability to demand teaching goals as well as structured lessons and mentoring were the main success factors. Lecturers on the other hand reported the presence of concrete goals, assistance for the lesson preparation and the activity of the students as success factors. The results of the questionnaires showed that the majority (88%S, 75%D) were informed about the teaching goals and considered them to be followed (84%S, 95%D). Obstacles were the factors "time", "mentoring" and "information". Factors that were between negative and positive (indifferent factors) were "uncertainty about competence-orientation" and "uncertainty how to examine the teaching success". Transparent structure and teaching goals as well as amentoring system are the success factors for the implementation of competence-oriented lessons and should be used as strengths. Indifferent factors represent weaknesses and need to be addressed by training and instruction. Restricted time and personnel resources are the immanent problems that hamper the implementation and require fulminant structural changes.

In the era of globalization and digital, innovation is one thing that is discussed a lot by humans in order to try to create a form or thing or object that can make an activity more effective and efficient. The challenge to continue to innovate does not only come to individual people but also extends to the organizational scope. This research aims to look at the dynamics that occur in the innovation process carried out by BPJS Health by taking a case study on the SDM performance management system. Data was obtained through interviews and observations, research sources used a qualitative approach. With the aim of knowing the influence of the level of efficiency and productivity of human resources in carrying out operations in order to improve the quality of national health insurance services (JKN) . The innovation of the performance management system at BPJS Health is a concrete form that the organization sees employees as talents and as the main competitive asset and key factor for the organization's success in the future.

Stakeholder interfaces for excess heat-based urban heat supply— Input from Swedish cases

Excess heat is generated from different industrial processes and from urban infrastructure (sewage water, transport, datacentres and buildings). Thirty-five percent of the European energy demand for heating and cooling could be met by excess heat. Today, however, this energy reserve is barely exploited. There are known barriers to excess heat recovery but limited information on stakeholder interactions in the early stages of excess heat collaborations and on successful collaborations. Sweden is world champion in terms of excess heat recovery into district heating systems, and the country has a long tradition in this field (dating back to the 1970 s). By studying two cases, we shed light on success factors in the early stages and in successful collaborations. We identify that the main success factors for excess heat recovery are (i) trust between the collaborating partners, (ii) the involvement of as many stakeholders across the DH (District Heating) value chain as possible (in the decision-making process), (iii) the establishment of joint goals, and (iv) the identification of a business model allowing for a win-win solution that prioritizes excess heat recovery and secures funding for the necessary investments. Excess heat recovery investments have features similar to those of other investments in climate change mitigation, making the success factors relevant to applications beyond the case of excess heat recovery.

Critical Success Factors for Deployment of Primary Health Care Networks and their Impact in Kenya

The Government of Kenya through the Bottom-up Economic Transformational Agenda (BETA) acknowledges Primary Health Care (PHC) as a cost-effective and efficient means to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The aim is to enhance equitable access to high-quality and affordable healthcare for all Kenyan citizens. Primary Health Care Networks (PCNs) are gaining traction as the main mode of achieving PHC in Low- and Middle-Income Countries, and Kenya is no exception. In Kenya, PCNs approach seeks to empower local communities at subcounty level through mobilizing resources and strengthening their decision-making authority to address context specific healthcare needs. The investment in PCNs is geared towards advancing equitable access to quality healthcare at the community level, mitigating fragmentation of health care services, strengthening preventive and promotive healthcare hence creating a more resilient and efficient healthcare system. The Ministry of Health in Kenya, in collaboration with County Governments and Development partners, initiated a Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) to deploy PCNs across the country in August, 2023. The goal was to establish 315 Primary Health Care Networks (PCN) across the 47 counties in Kenya. This was preceded by a Pilot phase in 3 Counties (Kisumu, Garissa, and Kwale) which was conducted in 2021. The pilot phase informed cost-effective approaches for the deployment and critical success factors for scale-up of PCNs countrywide. The nationwide deployment of PCNs followed a 10-step process of establishing PCNs as stipulated in Kenya PHC Guidelines. Data on experiences, progress in implementation and lessons learnt was abstracted from grey literature including reports from PCN establishment at County level, Stakeholder meetings through Accelerator and Sustainability taskforce and data from PCN observatory. The average time taken to establish a PCN was 3 weeks and costed approximately USD 34,000 for its full establishment. As at 20th December, 2023 (within 4 months of initiating the RRI), of the target of 315 PCNs, 93(30%) PCNs were fully established, 27(9%) PCNs were in progress and 195(62%) yet to start. Out of the 47 counties, 37(79%) counties have at least a fully established PCN, 4 Counties are in the process of establishing the first PCN and 6 are awaiting partner readiness. The eight main critical success factors for successful establishment included: County ownership and commitment, availability of Key Policy guidelines and strategies for reference, funding from development partners and donors, leveraging on existing National and County governance structures, multisectoral collaborations and partnerships, tracking of PCN establishment through National PCN observatory and Community engagement. Key process enablers to successful role out included: Meaningful engagement of development and implementing partners, Execution through County trained TOTs, Community engagement through Community Health Workforce and support from National Government. Over time, the Established PCNs in 3 pilot counties have demonstrated significant reduction in facility based maternal mortality, increased access to NCD screening services, coordinated health care workers through MDTs and improved forward and backward referrals. Additionally, incorporated innovation models within PCNs have improved access to medical supplies and specialized healthcare services at level 2 and 3 facilities. To achieve successful scale up of PCNs and sustainability for impact it is critical to contextualize PCNs to the County needs, establish sustainable primary health care financing mechanism for PCN activities, Strengthen PCN governance structures and utilise PCN observatory to continuously track PCN performance measurements and decision making. Adoption of a unified focus on PCN performance improvement including one PCN strategy, one action plan on how to optimally implement PCNs and one monitoring framework is critical. If implemented successfully, PCNs will contribute to long term social return on investments and improved health indicators for the Country
