USING TIKTOK TO PRACTICE SPEAKING SKILLS: EXPERIENCE OF INDONESIAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The rise of technology has led to an increase in the use of technology in education. There are a lot of platforms that can be used for a learning medium, one of them is TikTok. TikTok is a video-sharing app where users can watch or create short videos with various topics, including education. This research was conducted to find out students' experiences while using the TikTok platform as a learning medium to practice speaking skills. This research utilized a qualitative design with a case study as a method. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the participants' experience using TikTok as a learning tool, the research employed a combination of interviews and questionnaires as instruments. This research involved five English education department students as participants. The findings of this research revealed that all participants had a positive experience using TikTok as a learning tool to practice speaking. The study found that participants not only loved TikTok's easy navigation and engaging content but also appreciated its interactive features, particularly the "Duet me" challenge. In conclusion, TikTok is a valuable tool to facilitate students’ learning experience in practicing speaking.

Stories About Crowdwork – Analysis of the Self-Representation of Crowdwork Platforms on the Internet

Crowdwork is often characterised by low incomes and insecure employment conditions. Nevertheless, the business models of crowdwork platforms require a sufficiently large number of crowdworkers. Like other markets, the market for crowdwork is socially constituted, and platform providers try to influence market activities by creating certain images of crowdwork. For platform providers, it is crucial to build a narrative that makes working on the platform attractive to potential crowdworkers. This article examines how platforms present themselves to crowdworkers. Therefore, the self-representation of German-language platforms is analysed. It can be shown that the narratives used and the stories told about crowdwork differ from type to type. Only some of the platforms describe crowdwork as a form of ‘real’ employment. These platforms obviously address (solo-) self-employed people, particularly those working in the IT sector or the creative industries. But even these platforms mainly describe crowdwork as an additional source of income. Especially when earning potential is low, a lot of platforms try to point out other advantages of crowdwork.

In this way we came to the conclusion that there is drastic need to build a platform which can create direct connection between recruiter and workers so we create a platform named as "Connect-India". The sole purpose of this application is to improve the employment ratio. The features of this application is it provide user friendly interface, chat facility, GPS location tracker and rating facility.

Web Based Online Coding Classroom

Today online learning platforms are contributing a lot to the learning management systems which helps to empower teachers to bring coding into their classrooms. Even though we have a lot of platforms to work on and learn from, we are not properly trained in this domain. This has increased the need for a platform that is targeted only at college students to develop a coding culture among them, right from the start. The project that we aim to develop solves this particular issue and will also enhance the skills of the students through continuous feedback learning. The end product will be a website that the teachers can use to set the problems and give assignments while the students will use the application to solve the assignments. The website is being developed using: HTML, and CSS on the front end, and the database will be PHP. The platform will be composed in such a way endpoints for performing various operations. The website will be built to support modularity, scalability, and ease of use. Some of the features provided by the website are sharing of learning materials, students can practice coding and execution of the code, and support for many programming languages.

Analysis Customer Satisfaction in Luxury Fashion E-commerce Platform Services Based on Kano Model

With the digitalization trend and the changing of customer preferences, various online luxury consumption platforms occurred. In the Chinese market, lots of platforms combine e-commerce and customer engagement. Among these platforms, the Dewu app was initially launched to target customers interested in trendy luxury sneakers and have high popularity in the 90's generation in China. With high potential in the online luxury fashion industry, this research will mainly focus on improving the customer satisfaction of luxury fashion e-commerce platforms. It is critical for existing or new businesses of the online luxury fashion industry to improve their services to gain a higher market share from customer satisfaction. To better analyze, this research will adopt Kano Model to analyze the Dewu app's current practices to explore how other similar businesses could improve. Additionally, this study will adopt a questionnaire to generate data. As a result, services like identification service, sale reminder, reporting of infringement, logistics services, and customer service center will be one-dimensional quality, which indicates the importance of these services for Dewu to gain a competitive advantage. On the other hand, services like maintenance, live stream, and virtual shopping are indifferent quality and unnecessary services, and an extensive product range is attractive. The finding indicates which service is highly related to and which is less related. Through the analysis of the Dewu app, this study put forward some suggestions for other luxury fashion e-commerce platforms to improve themselves.

Pada saat ini semakin marak perusahaan yang berlomba-lomba untuk melakukan inovasi produknya agar dapat tetap bertahan di pasar. Strategi yang dapat dilakukan perusahaan untuk tetap bertahan di pasar dan menarik minat pelanggan terhadap produknya perlu melakukan strategi promosi yaitu periklanan. Iklan dapat dilakukan melalui banyak media yaitu media televisi, radio, surat kabar, majalah, dan online. Di era teknologi, komunikasi, dan informasi saat ini yang sudah berkembang tidak membuat iklan melalui media televisi lemah. Melalui media televisi dikatakan efektif berdasarkan penelitian karena pertumbuhan belanja selalu meningkat setiap tahunnya sehingga tepat sebagai tempat belanja iklan dan tempat para produsen untuk melakukan promosi. Namun disisi lain dikatakan tidak efektif berdasarkan penelitian karena dinilai biaya tinggi, segmentasi yang terlalu luas, dan jadwal tayang yang tidak teratur. Maka dari itu, topik ini perlu ditelaah lebih dalam untuk mengetahui apakah iklan televisi masih efektif atau tidak.

An Augmented Reality Approach to Integrate Practical Activities in E-Learning Systems

In the past, the term E-learning was mentioned to any learning method that used electronic machine for the distribution. With the evolution and the apparition of the internet, the term e learning has been evolved and referred to the online courses. There are a lot of platform which serves to distribute and manage the learning content. In some domain learners need to use some equipment and useful product for purpose completing the image built in the theoretical part by the practical activity part. However, most of those platforms suffer from a lack in tools that offer practical activities for learners. Using videos, virtual laboratories or distance control of real equipment as solutions to solve this lack were proposed but still limited. The mixed reality as new technology promised to create a virtual environment where the learner is an actor and can interact with the virtual objects. This article present an approach for developing integrated E-learning systems, helping to carry out the practical work by establishing a virtual laboratory that all tools and products can be manipulated by learners and teachers like in real practical activity, based on an augmented reality system.

Aplikasi Citizen Journalism di Era Konvergensi Media

Citizen journalism has now become one of the most developed television program concepts. If the concept was initially more widely used in radio and online media, this time with easier and cheaper technology coverage and delivery of images, it is a concept that provides a place for people to become amateur journalist that can also be easily applied in the medium of television. Research raised the issue on how the concept and implementation of citizen journalism on television in the era of media convergence. The purpose of this study is to explain concepts and demonstrate the implementation of citizen journalism on television in the era of media convergence. Research used qualitative method in which data were obtained using literature study. Results of the study showed that the implementation of citizen journalism on television is also increasingly facilitated by the entry of the television in the era of media convergence, or different media mingle, such as television with printed, radio, and Internet media. The era of media convergence makes the concept of citizen journalism can be more developed, because the platform or media distribution is also increasingly varied for amateur journalist. However, the system equipment that must be provided, human resources that must be owned, as well as huge capital to be owned make a few television stations open a lot of platforms to provide space for amateur journalist in citizen journalism.
