Effort to Optimize Learning Physics at Integrated Islamic High School via a Physics based Ethnoscience Approach

The aim of community service program is to enhance the educational experience at the integrated Islamic high school (SMA IT Khairu Ummah) Rejang Lebong district by employing an ethnoscience approach. The service program is implemented in SMA IT Khairu Ummah to address challenges posed by inadequate learning facilities and infrastructure, particularly in physics education, which may impede the teaching and learning process. The implementation of community service initiatives in 2024 comprises four phases. The first phase encompasses observational efforts within schools to acquire a comprehensive picture of the educational environment. The second phase involves the socialization of service activities and coordination with school principal and educators, particularly those teaching physics. The third phase entailed instructing educators on the development of ethnoscience-focused educational resources. The last phase entails regular assessment and guidance involving two Mahasiswa Kampus Merdeka Belajar program and five physics lecturers to guarantee that the community service program positively influences the learning process. The findings indicate that the training positively enhances teacher competencies by implementing ethnoscience education that leverages the local community's cultural and traditional diversity, even amidst constraints of limited facilities and infrastructure. Physics teacher and students of SMA IT Khairu Ummah SMA IT have implemented an ethnoscience-based physics approach that is effective in enhancing students' comprehension of scientific processes and their acquisition of related skills.

Stratigraphic Determination Based on Shear Wave Velocity for Earthquake Disaster Mitigation in Lebong District

Bengkulu Province, including North Bengkulu and Lebong, is located in the subduction zone of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates, which makes the region prone to earthquakes. This research focuses on earthquake disaster mitigation in the Lemeu area, Uram Jaya District, and Lebong Regency. It identifies areas prone to earthquake shaking based on Vs stratigraphy, Vs30 distribution, and soil site class. The Vs value was measured directly using the Multichannel Analysis of Surface Wave (MASW) method for three passes. Each track has four stations, so there are 12 data collection stations. The station point is the center point of a series of 24 geophones. Each geophone has a recording time of 512 ms and a sampling rate time of 125 ms to obtain 4096 data for each geophone. The measurement data was processed using WINMASW 5.0 professional software to produce a 1D profile. From the stratigraphic Vs, Vs30 is calculated and used to determine the site class, and then a distribution map is made. The results show that this area consists of site classes D, C and B. Medium soil with a value range of 175 ≤ Vs30 ≤ 350, hard soil with a value range of 350 ≤ Vs30 ≤ 750 and soft rock with a value range of 750 ≤ Vs30 ≤ 1500. Of the 12 measurement points, 2 locations have relatively shallow Vs30 values, namely at points 4 and 11. This location has Vs30 values ranging from 221 - 258 m/s, so around this point, there is likely a high potential for building damage in the event of an earthquake.

Ore Characteristics and Distribution Based on Geological and Geophysical Features of the Tambang Sawah Low Sulfidation Epithermal Gold Prospect in Lebong District, Sumatra Island, Indonesia

Sumatra is recognized as one of the Indonesian islands with a big potential for mineral deposits particularly along the belt known as Neogene Sumatra gold axis. However, the publication of the gold resources is still restricted as regional/district scale maps or limited in some locations and internal company reports, hence, a detailed study on deposit scale remains limited. This study aims to document the deposit geology, ore characteristics and geophysical features of the Tambang Sawah prospect at Lebong district, Sumatra Island. The study was done by geological mapping, sampling, and analyzing of selected samples by petrographic, ore microscopic, X-Ray Diffraction, micro X-Ray Fluorescence and various geochemical analyses to identify ore characteristics. The geophysical survey was carried out using geomagnetic and induced polarization. Ore mineralization is manifested by various alteration types such as argillic, propylitic, and silicification, which suffered andesitic breccia and granite host-rocks. Gold mineralization is in the form of quartz veins with typical opening space filling textures such as colloform, crustiform, cockade, moss, comb, and brecciated. The main sulfides consist of pyrite, chalcopyrite, covelite, sphalerite and galena. Gold commonly occurs as free grains. Highest grade gold of up to 21.3 ppm is associated with colloform and cockade-crustiform quartz veins. Geophysical surveys indicate that gold mineralization is associated with low geomagnetic anomaly areas. The 3D modelling of the IP survey reveals that the ore mineralization may occur at 75m depth. Two target areas located at the northeastern and southwestern portions are recommended for a follow-up detailed exploration based on the mapped ore geology, ore characteristics, and geophysical anomalies.

Implementation of Restorative Justice in a Customary Court in Rejang Lebong District, Bengkulu, Indonesia: A Maqāṣid Al-Sharī‘ah Review

This paper aims at analyzing the form of restorative justice implemented in a customary court in Rejang Lebong District, and maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah review of the customary court. This type of research is qualitative with sociological-juridical approach. Data sources were literature, observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used qualitative descriptive analysis. This study showed that the form of restorative justice applied in the process customary court in Rejang Lebong prioritizes deliberation and peace between the parties. In terms of sanctions, compensation is based on the request of the victim and the consent of the perpetrator coupled with customary fines. Although there is a provision for customary fines, in practice, the judge determines the amount according to the ability of the perpetrator. In terms of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, the process prioritizing deliberation and peace is relevant to the objective of evading mafsadat, which is to reduce the anger and resentment of the victim or their family. Based on the form of sanctions applied, there is a benefit to maintain the existence of religion, property, soul, offspring, and honor. The sanctions prioritizing restoration, harmonious relations, deterrent effects, and learning for the community, have mutual functions of zawajir and ta'dib. This customary justice model that combines restorative justice and local wisdom can possibly be an alternative dispute resolution to non-litigation case settlement.

Assessing the Suitability of Fifth Grade Textbooks on 'Ecosystems and Our Environment' in Lebong Elementary Schools

This descriptive-quantitative study examines the eligibility of Grade 5 student textbooks on the theme of ecosystems and the environment at Lebong Regency Elementary School, using survey and observation to collect data and analyze it quantitatively. Lebong District's 93 elementary schools, including 180 fifth-grade teachers, are sampled using regional sampling, a random selection technique taken per sub-district. The study's main data is gathered through a questionnaire and secondary data from sources like textbooks for class IV students on the theme of "Ekosistem dan Lingkungan Sahabat Kita". The results of the research show that the conformity factor of material description with KI and KD is considered quite appropriate with an average percentage of 56.76%. Then, in terms of accuracy, the material was assessed as meeting the requirements with a percentage of 62.92%. Then, in terms of learning support materials, it was also assessed as meeting the requirements with a percentage figure of 64.3%. Finally, Factors for suitability of material descriptions with KI and KD, material accuracy factors, and learning support material factors were also declared to meet the requirements after obtaining a percentage figure of 62.47%. The results of the research concluded that the feasibility of a textbook for fifth-grade students on the theme of ecosystems and the environment of Our Friends at Lebong Regency Elementary School was eligible because it met several criteria such as the suitability of the material with Core Competencies (KI) and Basic Competencies (KD), material accuracy, learning support material, suitability of material descriptions with KI and KD, material accuracy factors and learning support material factors. The study reveals positive aspects of Lebong Regency Elementary School's Grade 5 student textbooks on ecosystems, including conformity with Core Competencies, accuracy, and learning support. However, improvements include aligning with curriculum guidelines, improving content clarity, optimizing learning support materials, and continuous evaluation for better educational impact.

Geothermal Exploration in Hululais Geothermal Field, Lebong Regency, using a 1D Magnetotelluric Approach to Estimate The Depth of Reservoir Rocks

Abstract Indonesia continues to rely heavily on hydrocarbon energy sources. However, in order to ensure the country’s long-term economic growth, it must diversify its energy investments and use renewable energy sources. Through tapping into the country’s vast untapped geothermal resources, the country can meet its rising energy needs in a sustainable and effective manner, all while contributing to mitigating climate change’s worst effects. Lebong Regency, Bengkulu, Indonesia, is the site of the Hululais Geothermal Field. Geothermal energy could be extracted from the area’s hydrothermal systems, as evidenced by the existence of surface hot springs and sulfur craters. In order to determine how deep the geothermal reservoir rocks at Hululais go, a thorough investigation of the area has been carried out using the magnetotelluric (MT) technique to probe the underlying lithological conditions. More than 10 kilometers of MT data were collected across 4 different survey stations for this study’s 1D inversion. The information was gathered with the help of a Metronix ADU-07e MT instrument. The 1D occam inversion results explain the resistive zone connected to the flow of thermal fluid. Hot springs and sulfur craters can be seen on Hululais’s surface, indicating the fluid flows beneath the island’s crust. 1D Occam inversion of MT data measured in the Lebong District can identify geothermal reservoir, where the depth of the geothermal reservoir is 400 meters in subsurface, which is indicated by a high resistivity value (> 500 Ω.m).

Development of Android-Based Augmented Reality Learning Media to Improve Learning Independence (Study on the Electric Motor Installation Subject for Class XI Students of Rejang Lebong Regency Vocational School)

The research aims to develop Android-based augmented reality (AR) media that can increase learning independence, describe the media's suitability, describe the media's practicality, and describe the effectiveness of Android-based Augmented Reality (AR) media in increasing learning independence. The scope of this research is all classes. The type of research is Research and Development approach with the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection used lifting, observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique is by using quantitative descriptive techniques using a Likert scale to describe trends. The research results show that at the analysis stage, learning media that is interesting, interactive, inspiring, fun, challenging, and encouraging independent learning is needed. At the design stage, Android-based AR media was created. In the development stage, media expert assessment is given very feasible criteria. Criteria subject matter expert is very worthy. Practicality tests by teachers as media users show efficient criteria. Limited scale trials obtained significant differences between the control class (quite independent) and the experimental class (independent) with student responses, strongly agreeing. The evaluation stage ensures that the media is suitable and effective for use. The conclusion is that the developed Android-based augmented reality (AR) media can increase learning independence, is suitable for use, practical in use, and effective in increasing the learning independence of class XI vocational school students in Rejang Lebong district.

Studi Identifikasi Nilai-nilai Karakter dalam Cerita Rakyat Masyarakat Rejang Kabupaten Lebong

This study aims to describe the types of folklore that developed in the Rejang society, Lebong Regency, and describe the character values in folklore identified in Lebong Regency. This research uses qualitative research with survey method. The main instrument in this study is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments in the form of interview sheets and documentation. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through data reduction, data display (data display), and drawing conclusions. The results of the study collected fourteen folk tales found in three areas in South Lebong District. Based on the identification results, it can be concluded that, from fourteen folk tales adapted to the types of folklore, they were obtained, namely: four folk tales with the type of myth, five folklores with the type of legend, and five folklores with the type of fairy tale. Based on the results of the identification, it can be concluded that the character values found in the folklore of the Rejang society, Lebong Regency, obtained nine character values, namely: honest, hard work, creative, democratic, curiosity, respect for achievement, care for the environment, social care, and responsibility.Keywords: character values, folklore, Rejang society

Sustainable harvest: exploring sugar palm trees as a green economy catalyst in Bukit Kaba Natural Park, Bengkulu, Indonesia

Conservation areas are synonymous with protected areas and is prohibited for social and industrial activities that damage the environment. How ever, this research found in which at Bukit Kaba, the use of conservation areas could support the preservation of the natural environment. This article explained that by finding niche commodities, conservation areas can generate many economic benefits for the surrounding community and preserve the natural environment at the same time. This research was environmental qualitative research conducted at conservation area of the Bukit Kaba, Bengkulu, Indonesia. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, document studies, and focus group discussion with the Bukit Kaba conservation area stakeholders. The research team stayed for 20 days in Rejang Lebong district and visited community groups while conducting observations and interviews. The research concluded that the agreement between farmer groups and the Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (Nature Conservation Agency) to maintain and cultivate sugar palm trees at Bukit Kaba conservation area is an excellent green economic practice. The agreement stipulated the palm trees growing in the Bukit Kaba conservation area as a niche commodity because it can provide multiple benefits. On the one hand, palm trees provide economic benefits to residents around the conservation area. On the other hand, palm trees help maintain land and soil resilience in the Bukit Kaba area.

Diversity of Soil Arthropods in Three Elevations of Coffee Plantations, Tebat Pulau Village, Bermani Ulu, Rejang Lebong District

Coffee is a leading commodity in Bengkulu Province, whose production still needs to be improved. One of the supporting factors for coffee fruit production is the existence of a good soil arthropod ecosystem. Information regarding the diversity of soil arthropods can be considered in evaluating coffee plants' health. This research aims to obtain initial data on the diversity of soil arthropods and their role in central coffee plantations in Tebat Pulau Village, Bermani Ulu District, Rejang Lebong Regency. This research began with taking soil samples from productive coffee plantations. The type of coffee plant sampled was robusta coffee at an altitude of 900, 1000, and 1100 meters above sea level. Next, the soil taken is placed in the bottom funnel. Arthropods obtained from the Berlesse funnel were identified and counted. The results of counting arthropods are used to calculate diversity, dominance, and evenness index numbers. The results show moderate variability in the three types of elevation: low dominance, high evenness. Research also shows that the highest number of arthropods is found at an altitude of 900 m, and the most common type is acarina.

Hubungan Usia Dan Tingkat Pendidikan Dengan Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang Seksualitas Dalam Kehamilan Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Talang Rimbo Lama Kabupaten Rejang Lebong Tahun 2023

Pregnancy leads to fundamental changes in all body systems. The transition period of pregnancy can affect physical, emotional, cognitive, and sexuality patterns (Sagiv, 2012). The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between age and education with the knowledge of pregnant women about sexuality in pregnancy in the working area of the talang rimbo lama health center, Rejang Lebong district in 2023. This type of research is analytic research using this type of research is analytic research using a cross-sectional design (Hidayat, 2012). The population of this study were all pregnant women in 2023 totaling 223 people, the number of samples in this study were 69 respondents. The results of this study indicate that almost half of the respondents 33 (47.8%) were 36-45 years old, more than half of the respondents 42 (60.9%) had secondary education, more than half of the respondents 51 (60.9%) had sufficient knowledge, there was a relationship between age and knowledge of pregnant women at Talang Rimbo Lama Health Center, Rejang Lebong Regency in 2023.There is a relationship between education and knowledge of pregnant women at Talang Rimbo Lama Health Center, Rejang Lebong Regency in 2023. It is recommended that the results of this study be used as the basis for health promotion strategies regarding sexuality during pregnancy, where health workers can explain sexuality patterns, changes in sexual desire in each trimester, inform you about the impact of sex on pregnancy, discuss when to limit sexual intercourse during pregnancy, and suggest sexual positions that can be practiced.

Analysis Of Farming And Factors Affecting The Income Of Carrot Farming In Air Duku Village, Selupu Rejang Sub-District, Rejang Lebong District

Perkembangan produksi suatu komoditas pertanian harus seiring dengan perkembangan harga dari komoditas yang bersangkutan. Hal ini dikarenakan tinggi rendahnya pendapatan petani ditentukan oleh jumlah produksi yang dijual serta harga komoditas yang diterima petani pada waktu panen. Keberasilan suatu usahatani dapat dilihat dari pendapatan yang diterima oleh petani. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan keuntungan petani wortel dapat ditempuh melalui perbaikan aloksi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi dalam berusahatani wortel, sehingga efesiensi produksi dapat ditingkatkan. Melihat tingginya jumlah produksi wortel di Kecamatan Selupu Rejang khususnya Desa Air Duku, penulis tertarik untuk meneliti seberapa besarnya tingkat pendapatan usahatani wortel dan menganalisa faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi pendapatan usahatani wortel di Desa Air Duku dimana Desa ini termasuk kedalam wilayah Kecamatan Selupu Rejang yang menjadi penghasil komoditi wortel di Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut rata-rata pendapatan usahatani wortel di Desa Air Duku Kecamatan Selupu Rejang Kabupaten Rejang Lebong adalah sebesar Rp. 3.928.380,80,-/Ut. Hal ini berarti penerimaan petani dapat menutupi semua biaya yang telah dikeluarkan selama kegiatan produksi usahatani berlangsung. Luas lahan, umur, tingkat pendidikan dan jumlah tanggungan keluarga secara bersamaan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pendapatan usahatani wortel dan secara parsial yang berpengaruh nyata adalah luas lahan, umur dan jumlah tanggungan keluarga.

The Influence Of Taxpayer's Understanding And Knowledge About Tax Regulations, Quality Of Services And Tax Sanctions On Motor Vehicle Taxpayer Compliance In Lebong District (Empirical Study At Samsat Lebong Regency)

This study entitled The Effect of Understanding and Knowledge of Taxpayers on Tax Regulations, Quality of Service and Tax Sanctions on Compliance of Motorized Vehicle Taxpayers in Lebong Regency (Empirical Study at SAMSAT Lebong Regency). The background of the problem in this study is the low level of taxpayer compliance. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of understanding and knowledge of taxpayers about tax regulations, service quality and tax penalties on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance. This type of research includes quantitative descriptive research.The population in this study are taxpayers in Lebong Regency, while the number of taxpayers for two-wheeled motorized vehicles in Lebong Regency is 9,347. The method used in selecting the sample is based on the Taro Yamane formula. Of the 99 questionnaires distributed, only 99 questionnaires were processed. The results of the hypothesis test for the variable Understanding and Knowledge of Taxes t test have a significance level of 0.000, which means <0.05. This shows that this research supports the first hypothesis (H1 is accepted). 0.000, which means <0.05 This shows that this study supports the first hypothesis (H2 is accepted). The results of the hypothesis test for the Tax Sanctions variable in the t test have a significance level of 0.000, which means <0.05. supports the third hypothesis (H3 is accepted). Accountability Report, Quality of Service and Tax Sanctions that is equal to 98.6%. while the remaining 1.4% is explained by other variables not included in this study, such as transparency, government performance, competence of village officials, and others.

Analysis Of Community Satisfaction Index On Public Services At Amen District Office Lebong District

The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the community satisfaction index for public services at the Amen District Office, Lebong Regency.The sample in this study was 217 people from Amen District, Lebong Regency, who received services from the Amen District Office, Lebong Regency. The data collection uses a questionnaire and the analysis method used is to use the measurement of the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) value based on the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2017 concerning Guidelines for Compiling Public Satisfaction Surveys of Public Service Provider Units which are calculated using the value weighted average of each service element. The Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) score for the quality of public services at the Amen sub-district office, Lebong Regency is 79.20 with service quality B and the service unit performance assessment is "Good" because it is in the value interval of 76.61 - 88.30. This shows that the people who receive services from the Amen Sub-District Office, Lebong Regency, assess the services provided by the Amen Sub-District Office, Lebong Regency as good. The cost/tariff element gets the highest rating with an average score of 3.61 with the Very Good assessment criteria. This illustrates that the community views the Amen District Office of Lebong Regency as providing free services without being charged a fee. The lowest satisfaction score is 2.80 namely system, mechanism and procedure. This illustrates that the service procedures in the Amen sub-district office are not maximized because the processing of documents is still complicated, such as lacking requirements, the official signing the document is not in place.

Possibility of glyphosate-resistant goosegrass (Eleusine indica) in citrus fields in Rejang Lebong Districts, Bengkulu, Indonesia

Biodiversitas 24: 3633-3638.Weed abundances dominated by goosegrass (Eleusine indica L.) are a major constraint in the citrus fields of Rejang Lebong District, Province of Bengkulu, Indonesia. The objectives of this research were to investigate weed control methods applied by citrus farmers, analyze the dominant weed, and study the possibility of glyphosate resistance in goosegrass. A survey was conducted by interviewing three citrus farmers regarding weed control measures, followed by weed assessment in 10 sampling plots of each location. Then, field trials were conducted to evaluate glyphosate efficacy on weeds in the three locations of citrus fields. The survey found that glyphosate has been applied for weed control up to 4 L ha-1( 1.92 kg a.i. ha-1 of isopropyl amine salt) 2 to 3 times a year, and the farmers found that some weeds were resistant to glyphosate. Weed assessment showed that goosegrass is a dominant species with a summed dominance ratio (SDR) of 67.1, 70.8, and 79.0% at each location, respectively. The field trials observed that the levels of survival weeds in the experimental plots treated with glyphosate at 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, and 8.0 L ha-1were 94-95%, 83-85.3%, 70-73.3%, 20-29%, and 10-12.3%, respectively. Goosegrass was identified as the survivor's weeds. The glyphosate doses (LD50) required to eradicate 50% of the weed populations ranged between 2 and 4 L ha-1 at the three sites. This study proved that goosegrass in the citrus groves of Rejang Lebong District, Bengkulu, is resistant to glyphosate.

Manajemen Perpustakaan Masjid Al-Jihad dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Anak-Anak di Wilayah Rejang Lebong

The Al-Jihad Mosque library is the focus of this research. Management in this case places more emphasis on increasing children's literacy in the Rejang Lebong area, constraints and efforts to increase the effectiveness of handling literacy problems in children in the Rejang Lebong area. This research uses qualitative techniques, for data collection data, including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The process of data analysis begins with data reduction, followed by polling, presentation, and drawing conclusions. By using technical triangulation and source triangulation, data validation was carried out. This study reveals that the Al-Jihad Mosque library is a source of information as well as a facilitator, mediator, and motivator as well as a non-formal educational institution. There are several limitations that become obstacles in efforts to increase literacy for children in Rejang Lebong district, including the lack of facilities, human resources, and the attention and interest of the local community. KEVALIDAN MODUL AJAR MATEMATIKA BERBASIS SENI VISUAL GEOMETRI UNTUK MENINGKAATKAN KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DI KABUPATEN REJANG LEBONG

This study aims to produce mathematics teaching modules based on visual arts geometry to improve the mathematical reasoning skills of Rejang lebong district elementary school students that are valid. The research method used is development research with a 4D development model, which consists of Difine, Design, Development and Desimate stages. The instrument used to answer the research objectives is in the form of a validity questionnaire, consisting of a linguist questionnaire, a material expert questionnaire, and a media expert questionnaire. The data in this study were analyzed using the Aiken V formula. Based on the results of the validity analysis of the three experts, an average value of 0.913 was obtained which was included in the interpretation category of Aiken's validity included in category V > 0.80 with very high information or can be said to be valid.
