Analysis of Public Satisfaction in Tlocor Marine Tourism

The facilities and infrastructure of a tourist attraction are an important factor in assessing public satisfaction in the tourism sector. This is useful in providing comfort for tourists to visit it. The problem with Tlocor Marine Tourism is the lack of internet connection and the hot tourist atmosphere. Apart from that, to board the ship, visitors must wait until there are a minimum of 10 people before they can depart for their destination. This research aims to analyze the level of satisfaction of visitors and the public at Tlocor Marine Tourism. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach with a research sample of 60 people consisting of 30 visitors and 30 people from the community around Tlocor Marine Tourism. The data analysis technique used is the crosstab model, which compares visitor satisfaction with the satisfaction of the community around Tlocor Marine Tourism. The research results show that the level of visitor satisfaction at Tlocor Marine Tourism is 46 percent in the high category. Meanwhile, the level of satisfaction of the surrounding community at Tlocor Marine Tourism is 50 percent in the very high category.

CHALLENGES FOR UNIVERSITIES TO ONLINE TECHNOLOGIES IMPLEMENTATION IN THE CONDITIONS OF WAR IN UKRAINE

The experience of online education in Ukraine during wartime is unique. After the Russian-Ukrainian war beginning, in a month of so-called "holidays", in spring 2022, from April, 1, by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the rectors' orders of universities, online education started. The classes were online, and it was difficult to overcome the war stress, but the experience of the pandemic taught everyone to work with online technologies such as Zoom, Meet, and Google Classroom. Teaching students online was carried out as online as offline with the university platforms like Moodle and others for offline learning, they contained all educational materials from the previous two years of the pandemic, tasks, quizzes, and tests. The purpose of the research is to identify pedagogical, psychological, and technical challenges for teaching university students during the war in Ukraine with the survey method. The survey was conducted online with 65 university lecturers and 122 students from 5 universities in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The pedagogical, psychological, and technical difficulties were analyzed. The questions were aimed at studying such aspects as 1) pedagogical and psychological difficulties: the teachers/students' readiness for online teaching/learning, 2) pedagogical difficulties: the procedures of online teaching/learning and technologies, in particular, methods, forms, means of giving/mastering knowledge, 3) psychological and technical difficulties faced both by teachers and students. The results are as follows. The acquired teaching and learning experience with online technologies helped to establish online education in wartime positively in general. The main pedagogical difficulties were overcome with basic methods (online and offline), teaching forms such as lectures, seminars, and practical classes online, and offline, and, finally, different tools/means/platforms (video/audio recordings, corresponding emails, social networks, Moodle platform, etc.). The psychological state of both teachers and students in the circumstances of online education was also examined. The most common psychological difficulties with online learning were connected with external ones as constant shelling, and air alarms as with internal ones as stress, anxiety, worries, depression, burnout, sadness, and frustration. The technical difficulties were connected to blackouts, lack of Internet connection, power outages, evacuation, changes in living and working conditions, relocations, and the impossibility of using laboratory equipment. The conclusion is despite all online difficulties, the quality of teaching did not change significantly, thanks to the clear understanding that it is a necessity to teach and learn online.

Students' Perception of Oral Presentation Assignment Using PowerPoint in English Education Students

In the English classroom, students are assigned to conduct oral presentations using PowerPoint as one of the visual aids. The study aimed to investigate the perceptions of English education students about oral presentations and classroom assignments using PowerPoint. The researchers employed qualitative methods and purposively selected a sample of 30 college students in the 5th semester of English education at one of the higher education institutions in Indonesia. The research instruments were Likert scale questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis used a thematic analysis. The result indicated that most students' perceptions were positive towards oral presentations using PowerPoint, which served as an assignment. Also, it highlights that oral presentations can enhance students' understanding and retention if the slides contain only important points, interesting pictures, or animation rather than full text. This research pointed out that students thought oral PowerPoint presentations were inefficient due to external factors such as a lack of internet connection and device preparation. Therefore, the oral presentation assignments using PowerPoint become necessary by considering the learning activity to obtain the learning objectives.

Investigation of the challenges in online formative assessment faced by Grade 10 Physical Sciences teachers in South African schools

Formative assessment is crucial for teachers to gauge students’ understanding of subject content, and applying formative assessment in an online context is more challenging than in a traditional Physical Sciences classroom. This study examines challenges experienced by Grade 10 Physical Sciences teachers when enacting online formative assessment as per the research question. The empirical investigation adopted a generic qualitative design in which three purposively selected Grade 10 Physical Sciences teachers from three different schools and quintiles within the Tshwane North District in South Africa. Data were collected through individual and focus group interviews. Interviews were video recorded, transcribed and thematically analysed using grounded theory to construct a thematic framework for supporting the study. Technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) was utilised as a theoretical framework underpinning the study to identify challenges experienced by Grade 10 Physical Sciences teachers when enacting online formative assessment. Challenges identified in this study include the enforced utilisation of Annual Teaching Plans, lack of technological knowledge, lack of internet connectivity, and poor digital infrastructure at schools, and in towns and cities in South Africa. The study aims to show that the Department of Basic Education faces the key imperative to provide continuous teacher professional development and concomitant online learning materials that can facilitate meaningful enactment of online formative assessment in various educational settings while policy is needed to ensure that every student has access to data and internet resources.

Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Indian Students

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the education sector globally, leading to unprecedented challenges for societies. This research paper explores the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Indian students, with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities presented in the education sector. It discusses the government’s initiatives to mitigate the disruption caused by the pandemic, which includes the closure of educational institutions and the subsequent shift to online learning. The positive impacts of this transition, such as the rise in digital literacy, increased online meetings, and improved time management skills, are examined. The paper also studies the negative consequences, emphasizing on digital divide that has widened between students from different socioeconomic backgrounds. The lack of internet connectivity, particularly in rural areas, has hindered the educational progress of many students. This disparity has led to some students taking up illegal jobs due to financial constraints, further exacerbating societal inequalities. Additionally, the gender gap in digital access is highlighted, particularly the limitations faced by female students in terms of mobile internet access. The research also sheds light on the mental health toll on students, considering the challenges of social isolation, anxiety, and an abusive environment. Impact of Mobile Banking Platforms Paytm and Google Pay on Financial Inclusion in Rural and Semi-Urban Areas in India

This study aimed to investigate the impact of mobile banking platforms, specifically Paytm and Google Pay, on financial inclusion in rural and semi-urban areas in India. The study was motivated by the fact that there had been limited access to formal financial services in these regions, resulting in financial exclusion and diminished economic development. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study combined surveys of 1,200 households, focus group discussions, and interviews with local financial institutions. Findings revealed significant improvement in financial inclusion. Approximately 72% of surveyed households indicated increased ease in carrying out financial transactions, including savings, remittances, and bill payments, using Paytm and Google Pay. Furthermore, local businesses reported a 35% increase in revenue, attributing it to simplified payment processes. Additionally, a 40% decrease in cash-based transactions was observed, which has implications for reducing fraud and increasing transparency. However, the study also identified challenges such as lack of internet connectivity and digital literacy, which acted as barriers to adoption for 28% of surveyed households. The study concluded that mobile banking platforms like Paytm and Google Pay have had a profound and largely positive impact on financial inclusion in rural and semi-urban areas in India. Despite existing barriers, the adoption of these platforms has facilitated easier and more secure financial transactions, contributing to increased economic activities in these areas. Recommendations include launching government-backed digital literacy programs and public-private partnerships for expanding internet infrastructure. Future studies should also consider evaluating the long-term sustainability of these platforms in fostering financial inclusion and exploring the possibility of integrating additional services like insurance and loans. The Impact of E-Banking in Rural Areas of Malappuram District

E-banking has emerged as a powerful tool to promote financial inclusion and bring banking services to the underserved and unbanked population in rural India. The advancement in technology and the increasing penetration of the internet have paved the way for e-banking to reach the rural population. The adoption of e-banking in rural areas faces several challenges, such as lack of internet connectivity, low literacy levels, inadequate infrastructure, and security concerns. Despite these challenges, e-banking has several opportunities for promoting financial inclusion and economic growth in rural India. E-banking can bring banking services to the unbanked population, thereby promoting financial inclusion and reducing poverty. E-banking is also cost-effective as it eliminates the need for physical infrastructure, such as branches and ATMs, which can be expensive to set up and maintain. E-banking provides convenience to rural customers by allowing them to conduct banking transactions from the comfort of their homes. Finally, e-banking enables banks to automate their processes, resulting in improved efficiency and faster processing times. This paper aims to explore the opportunities and challenges of e-banking in rural India and provides recommendations to promote its adoption.

Novelization of the procedural procedure for informing the participants of the case: legal effectiveness and practical risks

The paper provides a detailed analysis of the change in the procedure for informing the participants in the case after the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine approved Order No. 28 dated January 23, 2023 "The procedure for sending court summonses, notices to the participants in the legal process in electronic form." It was analyzed which factors contributed to the approval of the new procedure for sending court summonses. Among them are listed such as: the introduction of martial law on the territory of Ukraine, insufficient financing of judicial administrations, the presence of the process of digitalization of the judicial system. The expediency of using Viber as a mobile application for receiving subpoenas, instead of Telegram, WhatsAPP, Signal, was studied. Reported to the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, which recognized Viber as the most popular messenger among Ukrainians. It is indicated that it is possible to send subpoenas only if the party to the case does not have an official email address and on the basis of a written statement. The concepts of official e-mail address and e-mail of a natural person are delimited. As is well known, failure to notify a participant in the case deprives him of the right to defense in court. Therefore, the paper clarified problematic issues regarding the determination of the moment of service of a court summons. The practice of Ukrainian courts and the ECtHR was studied. The "presumption of knowledge" of a person who agreed to receive messages from the court via messenger is indicated. The possibility of problems when using mobile applications is noted. Such problems are - lack of Internet connection, unstable operation of the mobile application, malfunction of the mobile device, inexperience of Viber users, etc. It has been investigated why the use of a screenshot to prove the propriety of a court notice is questionable. It is not excluded that the possibility of sending court messages through messengers can be used as a basis for abuse by the participants in the case, in the form of deliberate delay of court proceedings. The decision of the ECtHR is given, where the court noted that the applicant is obliged to demonstrate his willingness to participate in all stages of the proceedings and to refrain from using techniques that are associated with delays in the proceedings. The conclusion states that the ability to send subpoenas and subpoenas via Viber is useful and effective, but there are possible risks of abuse by the participants in the case.

Remote Data Acquisition Using UAVs and Custom Sensor Node Technology

Precision agriculture technology has advanced rapidly in the 21st century. Despite this, the vast majority of US farmers do not employ any form of precision agriculture. Reasons for this include the high initial cost, lack of internet connectivity in rural areas, and complex setup and operation. The basis of this project was to create a low-cost, energy-efficient data collection system using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as a mobile sink node in a local wireless system. This was accomplished through the design and manufacture of custom sensor nodes and a custom drone-mounted wireless receiver node. The sensor node and drone node enclosures were 3D printed and assembled using low-cost materials and internal components. The system was successfully tested in a field where it collected soil data, including soil moisture, soil temperature, and electrical conductivity. The cost and scalability of the system are discussed, as well as potential improvements and comparisons with existing technologies. The system was concluded to have many potential applications in its current state but with room to expand and improve its operation and features.

Accessibility of Online Learning for Students with Disabilities Amidst Pandemic

Abstract: This comparative study examined the accessibility of online learning for students with disabilities amidst the pandemic in five purposively selected countries: the Philippines, the United States of America (USA), South Africa, Italy, and Australia. A qualitative research design was used to determine and compare the accessibility of online learning in the selected countries in terms of policy, curriculum, teacher-student ratio, accommodations and supports, challenges, and improvements. Results revealed that online learning accessibility varies significantly from country to country in offering national curricula and strategies to provide accessibility and carry out inclusive education amidst the pandemic. It was found that the USA had shown a solid commitment to policy, curriculum, teacher-student ratio, accommodations, and support among the five selected countries. On the contrary, the Philippines show immense challenges in accessing online learning for students with disabilities. It is concluded that limited learning resources, lack of internet connectivity, inadequate digital literacy for teachers and students, and lack of concentration and coordination persisted as significant challenges in achieving quality online learning accessibility in a country. It is recommended that countries facing the same challenges may observe countries having quality and accessible online learning, such as the USA.

 The Challenges of E-Learning in Bangladesh: E-learning is a potential replacement for conventional classroom instruction, but there are several obstacles to its adoption, such as a lack of technology and infrastructure, a digital gap, a lack of trained teachers and educators, and a lack of high-quality E-learning resources. These issues have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the lack of internet connectivity and digital gadgets among some pupils, making it difficult for them to participate in e-learning programs. In addition, the shortage of qualified instructors and resources is also a significant issue.
 The Prospect of E-Learning in Bangladesh: E-Learning has the potential to close the digital gap, expand educational opportunities, and raise academic standards in Bangladesh. It can provide pupils with high-quality instruction and bridge the gap between rural and remote regions. E-learning can also broaden pupil access to education and equip them with the competencies they need to thrive in the real world. Additionally, it can offer pupils attractive, collaborative learning opportunities and allow instructors to track student development and spot areas where students might need extra help. E-learning can revolutionize Bangladesh's educational system by providing students with high-quality instruction, flexible learning, personalized instruction, global learning, and women's empowerment.
 Conclusion: The future of e-learning in Bangladesh looks promising, with the potential to close the digital divide, expand educational opportunities, raise academic standards, advance technology, encourage inclusivity, offer flexible and personalized learning, give access to resources for global education, and empower women. To ensure this, the government should create and carry out programs and policies that support ease and equality, facilitate diversity and accessibility, and keep track of and assess electronic-learning projects.

This paper presents the of a study conducted at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Tanzania on the usage of Reference Management Software (RMS) by postgraduate students and guided by TAM and DIT theories. The study employed a descriptive research design and both. One hundred and four (The study Findings further revealed that most respondents have a favourable attitude toward RMS and perceive RMS as useful and easy to use, even though few actually use RMS mainly totechnical services support, lack of internet connectivity and unreliable power supply. The study concluded that the usage of RMS by postgraduate students at UDSM is low.

Supporting undergraduate students in selected Open Distance and eLearning institution.

Supporting undergraduate students is important to ensure student success especially in using the Learning Management Systems (LMS). The case study research reviewed literature of student support, Open Distance and eLearning (ODeL), challenges and strategies for student support in ODeL context. The aim of the study was to investigate student support in ODeL context. The aim of of the study was to investigate student support in ODeL. The case study was designed to draw from qualitative research so as to deepen the understanding of student support in ODeL context. Purposive sampling was used to interview 7 lecturers as participants from a total number of about 30 lecturers. The researcher adopted Garrison, Anderson and Archer\'s Community of Inquiry framework to study the case in - depth. The findings suggested that some lecturers do not have the necessary skills to support student on the learning management. Nevetherless, some participants interviewed do not have qualifications in online learning. More importantly, the selected institution had adopted ODeL to promote access of higher education at the business school. Some of the challenges that the institution is experiencing is the lack of internet connectivity on the LMS. Workload is sometimes hampering lecturers to support students on the LMS. The study has recommended that academics should be trained on strategies and approaches to support students in ODeL. Therefore, training lecturers in new technologies should also be considered. In conclusion , student support is the cornerstone of distance education in higher education institutions.

Perception of History of Education Students on Virtual Teaching-Learning Process During Covid-19 Pandemic in Kwara State Nigeria

In Nigeria, the need for the reopening of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the introduction of a virtual teaching-learning process as an alternative to the face-to-face instructional approach. This study thus investigated the perception of history education students on the virtual teaching-learning process during COVID-19 pandemic in Kwara State, Nigeria. It examined the challenges of the virtual teaching-learning process during Covid-19 pandemic as perceived by history education students in Kwara State, and the level of the respondents’ willingness to further use virtual teaching-learning process after the pandemic. The research design employed for this study was the descriptive survey. Multi-stage sampling technique was used to select 248 respondents and the “Perception of Virtual Teaching-Learning Process Questionnaire” (PVTLPQ) was used to collect data for the study. At the end of the questionnaire administration, 235 copies were valid for data analysis. The method used to analyse the data collected were descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings of the study revealed that some of the benefits of the virtual teaching-learning process were flexibility to the study at the time convenient to the learner and accommodating different types of learning styles. Lack of internet connectivity, epileptic power supply and lack of computer/phone devices were some of the identified challenges of the virtual teaching-learning process. Also, gender, age and level of study did not influence respondents’ perception of the virtual teaching-learning process. Based on the findings of this study, it was recommended that government and curriculum planners should integrate the virtual teaching-learning approach into the classroom instructional process so that both the students and their lecturers can be well acquainted with the use of ICT and be able to explore the benefits embedded in its usage.

Application of ITs in the development of activities in the Management Competition of the course Animal Health and Welfare I of the Veterinary Medicine

The educational process has experienced impact in its face-to-face modality with the creation of new virtual scenarios supported by technologiesand the way of conducting activities has changed. To adapt to current needs, educational institutions must become more flexible and developways to integrate information and communication technologies (ITs) in training processes, knowledge acquisition and skill development in thefield of education. Within the tools is any device that has internet and at the same time provides information available anywhere and at any time,facilitating communication. The applications must guarantee the quality of the teaching practices carried out by the teacher. The objective of thestudy was to know the use of ITs in the application of activities and the development of skills in students of the Animal Health and WelfareManagement Competition I of Veterinary Medicine. The data obtained show that 100% of the students use technological tools with the Internetto carry out their online activities, homework, practices and integrating projects. However, there are times when they cannot enter due to lack ofinternet connection. 2% mention that not having the internet makes learning difficult. The use of ITs and their application helped thedevelopment of skills, performance and increased self-learning in students enrolled in the subject. The use of technology guarantees interactivework between work teams and at the same time as a means of communication. The platforms also use learning tools as a means of support and arepository of activities. There are disadvantages such as not having enough time, not having internet or data, so teachers must be flexible andprovide help, solve problems and look for alternatives that do not interfere with academic performance.

USING WH-QUESTIONS STRATEGY AND POETRY TO IMPROVE WRITING SKILLS AMONG ESL MALAYSIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL LEARNERS DURING POST-PANDEMIC

The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted the teaching and learning of the English language from face-to-face interactions to remote teaching. In my context, most of my students did not engage with remote teaching during school closures due to certain factors such as lack of internet connection and the readiness of their parents. When schools reopened during the post-pandemic, I used the WH-questions strategy and poetry to improve my students' writing skills. WH-questions are considered guiding questions that can direct students to get new ideas in writing a text. Poetry is a form of literature that can help young learners tap into creativity by using words in writing. By using an action research design lens, this study aims to describe the process of using WH-questions strategy and poetry to improve writing skills among Year 5 primary school learners. The process consisted of four steps: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Data were collected using a multimodal approach, including students' daily journals and structured-interview and the data gained were analysed narratively. Based on the data obtained, it was found out that the intervention used had successfully improved my learners' writing skills, especially in constructing correct simple sentences. I learned how to plan, conduct and evaluate WH-questions strategy as well as how to modify poetry writing to teach writing skills in English language lessons in the post-pandemic times.

Online Teaching: A Pleasure or Pressure for Higher Secondary School Teachers: A Case Study

The shutting down of educational institutions not only in India, but all over the world has forced them to adapt to a new normal of online teaching through digital platforms. The sudden transition has caused a chaos in the education sector in India. Many studies have been conducted on the issues faced by the students in online classes but not teachers. The higher secondary school teachers are a group who has to adapt immediately to the digital classrooms and resources since their students are at a stage of their prospective career choosing. The present study analyses the issues of teachers during online teaching who are suddenly pushed in to the digital environment. The case study method was adopted for the study with the support of a structured interview schedule. The sample of the study consisted of 50 higher secondary teachers in different disciplines and different schools across Kerala, India. Due to the pandemic restrictions the sample size has to be kept a minimum number. The study mainly focused on the problems faced by the higher secondary teachers during the online teaching. The findings of the study showed that the online teaching is a pressure for them rather than a pleasure experience. Major issues faced by the teachers are the lack of computer competency, technical issues such as lack of internet connectivity, students’ access to the digital devices and the occupational stress due to the disruption of work- life balance. Based on the findings, practical and social implications are analyzed and discussed.

An Analysis on the Effectiveness of ICT Integration In Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Covid-19 Era

ICT is utilized extensively in education for several reasons, one of which is that it improves the effectiveness of teaching techniques for both teachers and pupils. ICT integration in education is most often used to describe a technologically oriented teaching and learning process that is closely related to the usage of educational resources in classrooms. Even in the face of unforeseen setbacks like the Covid-19 epidemic, teaching and learning may go on using information and communication technologies (ICT). Instead of being completed in a single phase, ICT adoption is a continuous process that fully supports teaching, learning, and information resources. The purpose of this study was to determine how ICT integration impacted classroom instruction in higher education institutions in light of the Covid-19 outbreak. For this inquiry, a mixed-methods methodology was employed. Data were gathered from both primary and supporting sources. The legitimacy and validity of this study were guaranteed by its quantitative methodology, which provided a clear picture of how ICT integration has helped higher education institutions throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. 207 out of the 225 individuals in the study's sample returned their questionnaires, giving it a 92% response rate. The findings show how ICT integration is highly advantageous for both teachers and students. Teachers who are well-prepared with ICT tools and resources are one of the critical components in the success of technology-based teaching and learning, according to study. According to the results, 50% of respondents thought ICT was very effective, giving it a grade of 75%; 34.4% gave it a rating of 50%; and 15.6% gave it a rating of 25%. Less users accessing the online learning, a lack of ICT resources (9.4%), a lack of internet connections (28.1%), and a lack of online teaching resources (12.5%) were among the challenges faced by 50% of the participants. The researcher's findings indicate that for teachers and students to get the most from ICT adoption, the first phase must be effective. The researchers recommend that the ICT infrastructure at the universities be updated. Plans for addressing any economic issues that colleges and universities may be facing should be developed by the management. ICT equipment may be exempted from taxation or subject to reduced taxation under certain policies, increasing accessibility. Government incentives could also be provided to service providers to increase the scope of their network.
