Preface

Welcome to the proceedings of the The 10th International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production (ISTAP X) organized by Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada. In the midst of escalating concerns about the environmental impacts of animal production and the imperative to ensure global food security, this symposium serves as a crucial platform for scholars, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to converge and deliberate on pressing issues. The title of our symposium, “Sustainable Animal Productivity and Environmental Footprint Toward Global Halal and Food Security,” encapsulates the multifaceted challenges we face today. As the world’s population burgeons and economies expand, the demand for animal products escalates, placing immense pressure on our environment and resources. Yet, this surge in production comes at a cost—degradation of ecosystems, deforestation, habitat loss, and a myriad of environmental woes. Concurrently, the burgeoning demand for halal food, driven by the expanding Muslim population, necessitates innovative approaches to ensure the sustainability and integrity of supply chains. The backdrop against which this symposium unfolds is one characterized by urgency and complexity. Traditional agricultural practices, marked by inefficiencies and resource-intensive methods, are no longer tenable in the face of escalating global challenges. The need of the hour is a paradigm shift towards sustainable animal production systems that reconcile productivity with environmental stewardship. Throughout this symposium, esteemed experts from diverse disciplines will engage in rigorous discourse, sharing insights, methodologies, and innovative solutions aimed at fostering sustainable animal productivity while mitigating environmental footprints. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange, we aspire to chart a path towards a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable future for animal production systems worldwide. The contributions contained within these proceedings represent the culmination of rigorous research, thought-provoking insights, and practical applications. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the authors, presenters, attendees, and organizers whose collective efforts have made this symposium a resounding success. As we embark on this intellectual journey, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to forge a harmonious balance between the imperatives of productivity, environmental sustainability, halal integrity, and global food security. The Impact of The Ethical Leadership and Knowledge sharing on the Employees Creativity: An Investigation of Saudi Companies

This study addresses contemporary issues pertinent to both business research and practice, focusing on leadership roles, knowledge sharing, and their influence on employee creativity a topic with limited local research attention. Specifically, it examines the ethical dimension of leadership and the role of knowledge sharing in enhancing employee creativity within organizations. The study's primary purpose is to scrutinize the impact of ethical leadership, characterized by integrity and fairness, on employee creativity, as well as the effects of supportive knowledge sharing by leaders. Key inquiries include the examination of leadership integrity and fairness on employee creativity, and the influence of knowledge sharing support on creativity. Employing a theoretical model derived from literature, the research methodology employs surveys to test hypotheses and gather data from a sample of 250 employees across diverse industries. One of the study’s key findings is that ethical leadership positively affects employee creativity. Employees engage in successful knowledge sharing, contributing to creativity both within their job roles and across organizational knowledge domains. Practically, the study underscores the importance of ethical leadership and knowledge exchange in fostering employee creativity within Saudi enterprises, particularly emphasizing the educational level. Its findings fill a crucial gap in this area, offering valuable insights for both researchers and practitioners. In terms of originality and value, this study represents a recent and quantitative exploration of a topic that has been relatively overlooked. By investigating the impacts of leader integrity, fairness, and knowledge sharing on employee creativity, it provides meaningful contributions to unexplored areas of employee output. However, the study acknowledges certain limitations. It was conducted solely in Saudi Arabia and across various sectors. Future research could explore different countries or specific sectors to enable comparative analyses. Additionally, qualitative or mixed-method approaches could provide deeper insights into employee creativity. Moreover, future studies could delve into how organizations define and measure creativity, further enriching our understanding of this complex phenomenon.

Investigating Innovation Diffusion in Gender-Specific Medicine: Insights from Social Network Analysis

The field of healthcare is characterized by constant innovation, with gender-specific medicine emerging as a new subfield that addresses sex and gender disparities in clinical manifestations, outcomes, treatment, and prevention of disease. Despite its importance, the adoption of gender-specific medicine remains understudied, posing potential risks to patient outcomes due to a lack of awareness of the topic. Building on the Innovation Decision Process Theory, this study examines the spread of information about gender-specific medicine in online networks. The study applies social network analysis to a Twitter dataset reflecting online discussions about the topic to gain insights into its adoption by health professionals and patients online. Results show that the network has a community structure with limited information exchange between sub-communities and that mainly medical experts dominate the discussion. The findings suggest that the adoption of gender-specific medicine might be in its early stages, focused on knowledge exchange. Understanding the diffusion of gender-specific medicine among medical professionals and patients may facilitate its adoption and ultimately improve health outcomes.

Framework for mapping absorptive capacity as an enabler of effective technology transfer: A case study of the innovative PEEPOWER technology

In its comprehensive sense, a technology goes beyond the hardware or system to include associated skills and knowledge. Whilst this definition has been acknowledged across the literature, there is a gap in practices reflected during technology transfer processes. This article aims to investigate measures that can be taken by technology providers and recipients to effectively incorporate knowledge and skills sharing during a technology transfer. Conceptual frameworks were developed and used to inform empirical research. The case study of the PEEPOWER technology is carried out to consolidate theory with practice. The PEEPOWER technology is illustrated on a ‘techberg’ showing all elements of the technology beyond the hardware. An insight into the level of effectiveness of the PEEPOWER transfer to Kisoro, Nairobi and Durban is obtained through a qualitative analysis of interview responses, by looking at the extent of knowledge sharing and the absorptive capacity of the technology recipient. The main recommendations are to (1) adopt a knowledge exchange approach as opposed to a unidirectional knowledge transfer from the technology provider to the technology recipient, (2) establish good relationships with local partners and develop a good understanding of the local context and (3) manage expectations about innovations and ensure intellectual property protection during knowledge exchange.

Unlocking Innovation from Within: The Power of Tacit Knowledge and Change Adaptability in Indonesian Internal Organisational Innovation Processes

Abstract Research purpose. The study examines how tacit knowledge sharing affects internal organisational innovation by exploring change adaptability as a mediator. Hence, it tries to fill this gap and further explain the role played by tacit knowledge sharing in the entire knowledge management process. Given the mediating effect of change adaptability, this study aims to provide new insight into effective management and sharing tacit knowledge among organisations to improve their innovation processes. Design / Methodology / Approach. This study adopted a quantitative cross-sectional survey design, with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as the main statistical technique. Such a method is best applied in this research, where one confirms hypotheses and the relationship between observed and latent variables. The samples were selected based on judgmental non-probability and purposive sampling approaches. The SEM was used in data analysis. It contributed to understanding the relationship of the variables, such as sharing tacit knowledge, change adaptability, and internal organisational innovation. Findings. The study proved that tacit knowledge sharing is highly significant in internal organisational innovation, mediated by change adaptability. Direct effect: Tacit knowledge sharing directly affects the organisational ability to adapt to change and internal innovativeness, thus underpinning its basis. Change adaptability mediates the effect of tacit knowledge sharing on internal organisational innovation, which influences innovation outcomes. Path coefficient analysis confirms the positive influence of tacit knowledge sharing on adaptability to change and innovation. Indirect Effects: Empirical examination has proved the significant mediating effect of change adaptability in leveraging tacit knowledge for innovation. These results suggest that the strategic value of tacit knowledge and adaptability, which will drive sustainable innovation within organisations and support their integration within strategic frameworks, is fully justified. Originality / Value / Practical implications. This is a new model used for the first time to suggest novel contributions and usefulness in understanding the relationship among sharing of tacit knowledge, change adaptability, and innovation at the internal level of the organisation. Tacit knowledge sharing, combined with change adaptability, is a model for internal organisational innovation. Therefore, it fills an important gap in the existing literature: the quantification of adaptability in mediating the effect of tacit knowledge on innovation. The results of this study will provide empirical validation of these relationships and further contribute to the knowledge in practice, particularly by emphasising the mediating role of change adaptability, which has been relatively underexplored. Practically, tacit knowledge sharing within adaptive organisational environments is thus an important call towards effective adaptation to change. The level of enhancement of these dimensions as core competencies through strategies could make a difference in the success of businesses. The importance of adaptability has to be emphasised by training programs and management practices that would provide the same skills. Other important avenues include those that work towards cultivating supportive organisational cultures that would facilitate tacit knowledge exchange, support employee interaction and informal knowledge exchange, and measures to reward innovation efforts. Investment in human resources practices that encourage learning and adaptability will continue to encourage knowledge sharing and innovation, including improving training programs, offering mentorship opportunities, and developing performance management systems that support and reward behaviours around innovation. This study contributes to the literature with a developed framework and empirical examination of the interrelations between tacit knowledge sharing, change adaptability, and innovation. It provides practical strategies that can be of value to the organisation in enhancing innovation capabilities through knowledge management.

Emerging technology adoption for sustainable agriculture in India– a pilot study

Agriculture is an extremely important sector in the economic growth of countries. In India, agriculture serves over 70 percent of the country's population and contributes approximately one-third of the country's GDP. Agriculture-related problems have continuously acted as a roadblock to the nation's progress toward its full potential. The only viable solution to this issue is to practice sustainable agriculture, which involves bringing traditional agricultural practices up to date. As a result, the initiative intends to utilise automation and Internet of Things technologies in order to make farming smarter. The main objective of this study is to present outcomes for decision-making for improved productivity, agricultural growth, and sustainability of farms for quality food production and food security. For the purposes of this study, the reference period of the data that will be covered spans from January 2015 to December 2019. The R programming language and the R Studio integrated development environment (IDE) are the tools utilized in the processing and analysis approach. This paper analyzed the underlying factors for the agriculture sector to integrate with emerging technologies. This research study identifies major factors for farmers to adopt new emerging technologies to enhance productivity through improved farming processes. Additionally, it recommends improving infrastructure, expanding internet access to rural areas, and encouraging collaborative platforms to boost agricultural technology innovation and knowledge exchange.

Innovations of Rural Areas as a Necessity of Green Economy and Sustainable Development

Abstract Increasing the competitiveness of agricultural products, sustainable management of rural resources, and demographic aspects of rural development are issues that unite both science and practice in thinking. The relevance of the topic is confirmed by data on the increase in population and demand for food, as well as changes in consumption habits of agricultural products. Research highlights the importance of applying the principles of the green economy using the example of plum production and marketing in the Republic of Serbia. Observing the average rate of fluctuation and the coefficient of variation of plum production around the calculated average value, we notice an uncertain market placement. The importance of the demographic picture of villages due to changes in rural population is depicted through the constant decrease in the agricultural population in the Republic of Serbia. The process of joining the European Union further emphasizes the importance of the green economy and sustainable development as priority areas for Serbia. Accession to the EU obliges the country to align with European standards, including those related to environmental protection and sustainable development. Thus, sustainable development represents a link between economic policy and environmental protection processes. The process of implementing the green economy in the agricultural sector in Serbia requires an active role of the state, regulatory framework, and support from international partners. Institutional support is the basis for successful implementation of efficient solutions. Additionally, it is important to promote innovation, short marketing channels, and knowledge exchange. Concrete measures involve organizing advisory services, training farmers through the modernization of agricultural holdings.

The cross-employment of PhDs across the university sector boundary: an analysis of Finnish register data

Tacit knowledge flows can be facilitated by employment transitions, such as for example the transitions of PhDs from university employment to industry. There are however barriers to transitions into and out of university employment, and as a consequence, such transitions are relatively rare. PhDs can circumvent the barriers to permanent transitions by simultaneous secondary employment relationships. Though we know that such cross-employment exists, we do not know how common it de facto is. In this paper, we use a nine-year panel of daily-level employment microdata on the full population of Finnish PhDs to show that about 30% of university-employed PhDs are cross-employed outside of universities. This is a substantial share, and its magnitude alone suggests a central but underappreciated role for cross-employment in contemporary knowledge production and dissemination. We furthermore find that similar numbers of non–university-employed PhDs are cross-employed at universities as university PhDs are cross-employed outside of universities, and that many cross-employment relationships are in non-technical fields, and with public sector organizations. This illustrates the importance of understanding the nature of knowledge flows other than the unidirectional flows of technical knowledge from universities to industrial firms.

Summary of the 4th IAHR Asian working group symposium on hydraulic machinery and systems

Abstract 1. Background The international Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), founded in 1935, one of the IAHR Committee is the Hydraulic Machinery and Systems, which deals with the advancement of technology associated with the understanding of steady and unsteady flow characteristics in hydraulic machinery and conduit systems connected to, and the main emphasis is to promote interaction between the machine designers, machine users, the academic communities, and the communities at large. To meet its objectives, the Committee focuses on the best possible exchange of technical knowledge by arranging a Committee Symposium every second year. The symposiums are designed to attract scientists and engineers from industries, universities, consultants and users of hydraulic machinery. In addition, the Committee established “Asian Working Group” specially to promote the exchange and cooperation of hydraulic machinery industry in Asian countries. In recent years, water conservancy and hydropower in Asia have been developing dramatically. Hydraulic machinery like pump, pump turbines etc., are widely used in project construction. There are plentiful scientific and technical payoffs achieved within the related researches. The "Asian Working Group" has held three symposiums on hydraulic machinery and systems, which are: IAHR 2017 Asia Beijing, IAHR 2019 Asia Busan, IAHR 2021 Asia Nepal. And all conference proceedings have been published in IOP. After the 4th IAHR Asian Working Group Symposium on Hydraulic Machinery and Systems (hereinafter referred to as IAHR 2023 Asia Kashgar) following its convention, the conference proceedings will be published in IOP. Digital competences of university students after face-to-face and remote teaching: Video-animations digital create content

In today's digitally advanced society, there is a need to focus on collaborative educational approaches of a socio-community nature that incorporate technology. From this perspective, the FEJYLEN and FEJYLENVAL programs were conceived and implemented for both remote (online) and face-to-face teaching. These programs are based on an E-Learning-Service methodology, enabling the training of university students in digital skills, and facilitating the transfer of their interactive educational video-animations to early childhood education centers. The study sample consisted of 221 students enrolled in Early Childhood Education and Speech Therapy Degrees. The study had two objectives: first, to compare digital competences before and after participating in the mentioned programs; and second, to evaluate the impact of the type of teaching and university training on the acquisition of digital competences. The findings indicate that students receiving face-to-face teaching demonstrated significant improvement across all digital competences' factors with a medium-high effect size. Conversely, for students receiving remote instruction, improvements were limited to only certain skill factors. Our study reveals that face-to-face teaching is associated with higher scores in digital competencies and more efficient digital content creation. In conclusion, this research highlights the advantages of face-to-face teaching in comparison to remote instruction. This has facilitated a closer connection between the university and the realities faced by educational centers, fostering the exchange of knowledge between learning communities.

Guiding Principles for Community Building in Global Oncology.

With the escalating incidence and prevalence of cancer worldwide disproportionately affecting low- and middle-income countries, there is an urgent need for the global oncology community to foster bidirectional partnerships and an equitable exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise. A dedicated Global Oncology Community of Practice (CoP) can serve as a self-organizing, grassroots approach for members, with common goals and values, to coordinate efforts, maximize impact, and ensure sustainable outcomes. It is imperative, however, when outlining goals and priorities to adhere to an ethical and appropriate framework during community building efforts to avoid perpetuating inequities and power imbalances. This article reviews the core guiding principles for ASCO's Global Oncology CoP which includes responsibility, amplification, accessibility, sustainability, and decolonization.

Teasing in Outpatient Clinical Interaction in China: Managing Epistemic and Deontic Authorities

ABSTRACTIntroductionIn response to evolving patient‐centred care initiatives, this study investigates teasing in Chinese outpatient interactions. By exploring how teasing impacts knowledge exchange and decision‐making processes, the research underscores its utility in enhancing patient engagement and communication efficacy, aligning with China's healthcare reform objectives.MethodsUtilizing conversation analysis, the study meticulously examines a series of outpatient interactions, identifying and analyzing instances of teasing. Through a detailed investigation of the sequential organization, design features, and interactional tasks accomplished by teasing, the research unravels the complex mechanisms through which teasing operates within clinical settings.ResultsFindings reveal that teasing is a sequential accomplishment that is intertwined with institutional contingencies and embedded in overarching sequential projects of clinics. Teases often arise from subtle cues that may lead to delicate moments and are crafted with a blend of playfulness and seriousness, serving to bridge the gap between patient experiences and medical expertise. This study highlights how teasing facilitates the exchange of knowledge and influences collaborative decision‐making, marking a departure from its more casual use in everyday interactions. Teasing acts as a catalyst for a more profound comprehension of medical facts, encouraging patients to actively participate in their care by expressing concerns and preferences, thus aligning medical decisions with patient autonomy. The responses to teases vary, reflecting the complexity of clinical communication and the need for a delicate balance between humour and professionalism.ConclusionsThe study underscores the significance of teasing as a multifaceted communicative practice within outpatient clinical interactions. It highlights how teasing can contribute to a more nuanced and patient‐centred approach to healthcare, enhancing the collaborative exploration of medical advice and fostering a more engaging and empathetic clinical environment.Patient or Public ContributionThis study utilized real outpatient interactions, with participants' informed consent. The analysis focused on authentic teasing exchanges between clinicians and patients, ensuring the findings reflect genuine communication practices in healthcare settings. Participants, including both healthcare professionals and patients, were informed about the study's goals and their essential role in providing insights into clinician–patient communication, contributing to a deeper understanding of interaction dynamics in outpatient clinics.

Revolutionizing global hematology-oncology education: Assessing the two-year impact of a digital platform on socioeconomic equity and inclusivity against gender disparities.

e21000 Background: Social media has transformed the global exchange of knowledge, with 77.4% of cancer patients relying on it as a primary source of information especially in resource-limited areas. Given that a third of social media posts contain misinformation that can have negative ramifications, MedNews Week (MNW) was developed as a digital platform featuring presentations by global authorities to enhance global oncology education through its freely accessible programming. In light of the gender disparity in speakers at scientific symposia, where females represent <30%, MNW strived to combat gender inequity by featuring them in equal proportion to males. The goal of this study was to evaluate the ability of MNW’s virtual oncology education platform to combat socioeconomic (SE) education inequity while promoting gender inclusivity. Methods: From January 2022 to 2024, MNW hosted 36 distinguished global oncology leaders as Keynote Speakers (Mean H-index=50.09). Data on viewership and outreach were collected from MNW's social media accounts. A mixed-method approach was employed to determine audience and speaker demographics, and engagement. Results: MNW achieved a Healthcare Social Score amongst the top 0.07 percentile of global healthcare influencers on Twitter. Over the past year, MNWoncology programming experienced a 10.5-fold increase in mean attendance, reaching 743,991 people in 95 countries globally, with 23 classified as low-to-middle SE status. In 2023, MNW followers exhibited a female predominance (48.8%), mainly from non-healthcare fields (60.0%). MNW showcased gender parity among oncology keynote speakers, with female lecturers drawing similar attendance as males (p=0.89, two-tailed unpaired t-test). Conclusions: MNW has established a growing digital platform, while removing financial barriers to effectively engage lay audiences, particularly in underserved regions. MNW's commitment to empowering female speakers exemplifies its dedication to inclusivity in a historically imbalanced field. This underscores MNW's success in fostering inclusivity, by driving engagement of those traditionally underserved, and positively impacting oncology education globally. [Table: see text]

A Bibliometric Analysis of Knowledge Dynamics and Open Innovation Process

Abstract The article investigates from an analytical perspective the relationship between knowledge dynamics and open innovation and their influence on today's business environment. The present study starts from the premise that the development of a fluid and constant flow of knowledge exchange outside the organization influences the processes of open innovation. Allowing the rapid adaptation of organizations to the new effervescent demands of the market and consumers. The addition brought by this paper represents a conceptual expansion of the need to understand the possible implications of external and internal knowledge, of a rational, emotional, or spiritual nature, on the processes of development of new strategies, products, and services. There is no substantial information available in the specialized literature about the two concepts, which highlights the need to develop more qualitative and quantitative research in this direction. Using the bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer software, the paper presents a series of results that can be further developed and analyzed. The first perspective highlighted by this study is the potential of emotional, rational, and spiritual knowledge to improve relationships with consumers as a result of implementing a constant flow of communication. This fact is supported by the symbiotic relationship between the role of knowledge dynamics in encouraging the exchange of knowledge between consumers and organizations that stimulates an open, transparent communication environment focused on continuous learning. The study also emphasizes the involvement of collaboration, adaptability, and dynamic capabilities to explore how knowledge dynamics influence and stimulate innovative culture.

Similarities and differences of lung cancer (LC) multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) in China compared to Europe and Canada.

e13562 Background: LC MDTs involve a collaborative approach where specialists work together to analyze individual cases, discuss treatment options, and tailor comprehensive care plans for patients. Implementing MDTs can be challenging, especially for developing countries with limited resources and high disease burden. China, with approximately 820,000 new patients with lung cancer in 2020 accounting for 37% of the total number in the world, bears the responsibility of treating the largest lung cancer patient population worldwide. The global MDT Aid Program (MAP) in LC has been including China to gather insights on the challenges, best practices, similarities, and differences of China LC MDT processes compared to other countries, so as to improve the outcome and cost-efficiency of global MDTs. Methods: In this study, we learned about the status, best practices, challenges of LC MDT development in China through virtual semi-structured healthcare professional (HCP) interviews, on-site masterclasses, and internal data sharing with 3 Chinese leading hospitals in LC - Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, West China Hospital and Xiangya Hospital. Similarities and differences were gathered based on previous MAP experience and insights from HCP discussions in LC across the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, and Canada. To build a global collaboration on LC MDTs, three international knowledge exchange (IKE) sessions were organised to include China and all participating countries. Results: We identified seven main differences between China, Europe and Canada, including the enrolment criteria of patients in MDT that China MDTs focus on challenging cases such as resistance to multi-lines of therapy, multiple primary lung cancer and stage III lung cancer, while Europe and Canada MDTs mainly for routine patients. Other differences include setup and composition of MDT teams, digitalization of MDTs, incentives and reimbursement for MDT attendance, cross-institutional patient referral to the MDT, time spent per patient, patient follow-up after MDT discussion. Similarities identified include the MDT development model from both hospital and national level, experience sharing to educate junior physicians, hospital willingness to learn at global level, and challenges of high pressure with limited medical resources. Best practices of leveraging innovative digital capabilities to improve MDT efficiency and to support decision-making have been shared by China participants during the IKEs. Conclusions: Global collaboration to identify synergies within LC MDT communities can help China and other regions learn from each other and share China expertise in large-volume data-based practices globally. Alongside China’s rapid development of digital health, the digitalization of MDTs is likely to follow.

How does carbon biased technological progress promote carbon haze collaborative Governance？Evidence from Chinese cities

Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and haze pollution are often thought to have the same origin, the burning of fossil fuels. However, their relationship is not always synergistic and may even exhibit mutual constraints. Carbon-biased technological progress has emerged as a promising approach for simultaneously achieving three goals – to reduce CO2 emissions, alleviate the haze pressure, and keep economic growth. This study empirically investigates the impact and mechanisms of carbon-biased technological progress on carbon haze collaborative governance using data from 286 Chinese cities during 2006–2021. The results indicate that: (1) Carbon biased technological progress positively influences carbon haze collaborative governance. (2) This progress achieves coordination by enhancing element allocation efficiency, carbon efficiency, and responding to public environmental demands. (3) The facilitating role of carbon biased technological progress to carbon haze collaborative governance will work better if external conditions are met. Moreover, the effectiveness of carbon-biased technological progress in promoting coordination is contingent upon high levels of marketization, government intervention, environmental regulation, and technical advancements. Local and regional governments should foster conducive conditions for carbon dioxide and haze pollution coordination, optimize the allocation and flow of carbon resources, ensure harmonization between environmental regulation policies and other sectors, and bolster international cooperation and technical knowledge exchange to collectively address global environmental challenges.

EXPLORING TEAM COHESION IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project management represents an essential area of research with a significant impact on society and the economy. This paper aims to critically analyze the scientific literature on team cohesion and its influence on project outcomes. We employ a qualitative approach based on secondary sources to identify and evaluate critical factors such as knowledge exchange, trust, and team cohesion and to examine how these contribute to project success. The novelty of our work lies in its interdisciplinary approach, integrating perspectives from organizational psychology and project management to investigate the dynamics of team cohesion and its impact on project performance. Within this article, we critically analyzed team cohesion through the lens of individual team member competencies first, leadership styles second, and the relationship between them third. Our results indicate that integrating team cohesion into project dynamics maximizes operational efficiency and enhances resilience and adaptability against unexpected challenges. Managers who adopt specific leadership approaches (e.g., transformational and transactional) are identified as crucial factors in creating and maintaining project team cohesion. Furthermore, the article emphasizes that integrating team cohesion into management practices contributes not only to project success but also to its sustainability. Managers can develop effective strategies and interventions to enhance collaboration and outcomes within project teams by profoundly understanding the relationship between team cohesion and project performance.

Analysis of Factors Influencing Technology Mastery in Technopreneur SMES in Malang: Innovation Creativity, Resilience, and Social Networking

Digital technology is indispensable for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in today's landscape. In Malang, East Java, a city renowned for its thriving MSMEs, particularly in the creative industry, the Malang Creative Center serves as a key hub. This research explores the relationship between creativity, innovation, resilience, social networking, and technology mastery in MSMEs, with a focus on technopreneurship in Malang. Through a quantitative approach, researchers collected data via structured questionnaires distributed among technopreneur MSME owners in Malang. The analysis reveals that creativity, innovation, and social networking significantly influence the level of technology mastery in MSMEs with a technopreneurship orientation. The fusion of creativity and innovation enhances MSMEs' capacity to adopt technology. Moreover, social networking has a positive impact on technology mastery, facilitating information and knowledge exchange related to technological innovation. This study underscores the critical roles of resilience and social networking in enhancing technology mastery within MSMEs, particularly those focused on technopreneurship. The practical implication involves implementing programs that boost MSME resilience and encourage the formation of supportive social networks, fostering knowledge exchange about technological innovation. These measures are crucial for helping MSMEs navigate technological changes, expand their markets, and harness innovative potential in the digital era.

FiReS: A semantic model for advanced querying and prediction analysis for first responders in post-disaster response plans

Natural disasters have emerged as a recurring and severe menace to the sustainability of countries, resulting in compromised environmental and infrastructural integrity, human fatalities, and significant economic repercussions. Prompt and effective response by first responders is essential in Disaster Risk Management (DRM) to reduce individuals' vulnerability and minimize environmental and infrastructural damages. However, disaster-related information is often generated by heterogeneous sources, making the first responders’ decision-making process complex and time-consuming. To address these challenges, a common conceptual model is imperative to improve interoperability among diverse organizations and software systems, enabling effective collaboration. Semantic Web technologies offer a promising solution for integrating heterogeneous data and providing well-defined meaning in the representation and exchange of DRM-related knowledge. In this context, this study introduces FiReS (First Responders System), an ontological model designed to enhance data interoperability among first responders in post-disaster response plans for advanced data analysis and machine learning prediction. The validation of FiReS is conducted through a series of case studies exploring various aspects of disaster response, such as the response time of emergency services and the volume and classification of emergency calls. This approach facilitates streamlined access, thorough analysis, and seamless exchange of information, empowering stakeholders to strengthen their disaster response strategies and foster resilience within communities.
