Ever since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic begins, countries from around the world have implemented quarantine or lockdown restrictions to prevent the spread of Corona Virus and its variants. The Philippine government started to announce the enforcement of quarantine/lockdown restrictions last March 16, 2020. Because of the increasing cases of infection and increasing death statistics, quarantine/lockdown has been specified and categorized using several terms. These terms, all of which are written in the English language are highly technical. The study, therefore, will attempt to translate these different quarantine classifications into Filipino and show how these translations may become more effective and communicative. Pragmatic translation will serve as the methodology to translate these quarantine/lockdown classifications. The analysis of the procedure will lead to the idea that pragmatic translation is about being communicative. This translation may give a clearer picture of local quarantine/lockdown specifications that eventually leads to a better comprehension of the said regulations. References
