A revision of the systematic composition of Permian ray-finned fishes from freshwater deposits of the Kazankovo-Markino Formation (Middle Permian, Kazanian Stage) of the Kuznetsk Basin is presented. Eurynotoides (“Heterolepis”) multa belongs to the Eurynotoidiformes and is the first member of this order to be found outside European Russia. Mitinolepis costulata (reidentified Usolia sp.), Marmoratolepis obruchevi (reidentified cf. Sludalepis sp.), Heterolepis tomiensis (reidentified Elonichthidae gen. indet.), Tenuislepis unica (reidentified Eurynotoididae gen. indet.) and Nitidalepis trisecta (reidentified Acrolepididae gen. indet.) are too poorly preserved; the characters available are not sufficient to distinguish new taxa, and they can only be identified to the genus or family-level. The previously used generic name Heterolepis is a junior homonym and is replaced. The new discovery confirms the existence of non-marine paleogeographic migration routes between Siberia and European Russia in the Permian.
