Matrix diagonalization and exact solution of the k-photon Jaynes–Cummings model

We study and exactly solve the two-photon and k-photon Jaynes-Cummings models by using a novelty algebraic method. This algebraic method is based on the Pauli matrices realization and the tilting transformation of the $SU(2)$ group and let us diagonalize the Hamiltonian of these models by properly choosing the coherent state parameters of the transformation. Finally, we explicitly obtain the energy spectrum and eigenfunctions for each model.

Entropy squeezing and atomic inversion in the k-photon Jaynes—Cummings model in the presence of the Stark shift and a Kerr medium: A full nonlinear approach

The interaction between a two-level atom and a single-mode field in the k-photon Jaynes—Cummings model (JCM) in the presence of the Stark shift and a Kerr medium is studied. All terms in the Hamiltonian, such as the single-mode field, its interaction with the atom, the contribution of the Stark shift and the Kerr medium effects are considered to be f-deformed. In particular, the effect of the initial state of the radiation field on the dynamical evolution of some physical properties such as atomic inversion and entropy squeezing are investigated by considering different initial field states (coherent, squeezed and thermal states).

Entropy exchange and entanglement of a moving atom with k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model

The entropy correlation and the entanglement of a moving atom interacting with k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model are investigated. Entropy exchange between atomic and field subsystems, which is a form of anti-correlated behavior, is explored. Analytical results show that atomic motion, transition number k of field and field-mode structure can influence the entropy exchange between atom and light field. Moreover, the relationship between entropy correlations and entanglement is also discussed.

Properties of Linear Entropy in k-Photon Jaynes–Cummings Model with Stark Shift and Kerr-Like Medium

The time evolution of the linear entropy of an atom in k-photon Jaynes–Cummings model is investigated taking into consideration Stark shift and Kerr-like medium. The effect of both the Stark shift and Kerr-like medium on the linear entropy is analyzed using a numerical technique for the field initially in coherent state and in even coherent state. The results show that the presence of the Kerr-like medium and Stark shift has an important effect on the properties of the entropy and entanglement. It is also shown that the setting of the initial state plays a significant role in the evolution of the linear entropy and entanglement.

Geometric Phase in a Λ-type k-photon Jaynes-Cummings Model with Imaginary Photon Process

By using the Lewis–Riesenfeld invariant theory, we have studied the dynamical and the geometric phases in a generalized time-dependent Λ-type k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with imaginary photon process. We find that the geometric phases in a cycle case are independent of the frequency of the photon field, the coupling coefficient between photons and atoms, and the atom transition frequency. If we use the more accuracy device, the geometric phases in this process may be observed, and the geometric phases in this process have the observable physical effect.

By using the Lewis-Riesenfeld invariant theory, we have studied the dynamical phase and the geometric phase in a two energy level k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with imaginary photon process. We find that the geometric phase in a cycle case is independent of the frequency of the photon field, the coupling coefficient between photons and atoms, and the atom transition frequency. We predict the physical effect of the geometric phase in the imaginary photon process may be measured.

Entropy squeezing of the optical field in k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model

We investigated the field entropy squeezing of k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model，discuss the influence of the photon number k and the initial state of the atom on the entropy squeezing. The results show that with the photon numberk increasing，the position entropy squeezing will be enhanced and the momentum entropy squeezing reduced. When k≥3，the position entropy is always squeezed. The initial state of the atom also shows some influence on the entropy squeezing.

The amplitude- N -th powered squeezing of an electromagnetic field in the multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model interacting with the superposition state

We have studied the properties of the amplitude-N-th powered squeezing of an electromagnetic field in the k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model of an atom initially being in the ground state and coupling with the superposition state. The results show that, under the condition of n ≥ k, where n is the photon number of the superposition state, the field exhibits not only the amplitude-N = n-th powered squeezing but also the amplitude-N = (n/2)-th powered squeezing for even n. The variations of the amplitude-N-th powered squeezing of the field with the powers N and k are discussed.

General criterion for non-classical radiation fields

A general criterion for non-classical radiation fields is given which can answer whether a given state of a radiation field is non-classical or not and what kind of non-classical field it is if the field is non-classical. The authors have used the criterion to discuss photon number state, two-photon coherent state and number-phase squeezed state, and to prove that the radiation field in the thermal k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model, is always classical.

Multiphoton model for the interaction of single-mode squeezed-state light with a two-level atom

Multiphoton interaction of single-mode squeezed-state light and a two-level atom is considered based on the K-photon Jaynes–Cummings model. Time evolution of quantum fluctuation and photon statistical properties of the initial squeezing light are discussed. It is found that through interaction with a two-level atom, larger squeezing levels cannot be achieved in one-photon or multiphoton processes. For photon antibunching behavior of the light field, it is shown that a smaller initial squeezing level and an appropriately larger coherent part of the initial average photon number of the radiation field favor the generation of this nonclassical behavior, especially in the lower-order interaction processes.

Squeezing of spontaneous emission in the k-photon (k > 2) Jaynes–Cummings model

The exact solution for the wave function in the k-photon Jaynes–Cummings model with detuning is obtained. In particular, the higher-order squeezing and amplitude-squared squeezing of spontaneous emission in this model are studied. The results show clearly that the higher-order squeezing and amplitude-squared squeezing are independent of second-order squeezing and antibunching.

K-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with coherent atomic preparation: Squeezing and coherence.

The k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model is studied with respect to the properties of the radiation mode. In particular, the generation of coherence and squeezing in the one- and two-photon model is examined for the case that the field is initially in the vacuum state and the atom is prepared in a coherent superposition of states. Coherence is found in the one-photon model, and squeezing appears in both the one- and the two-photon model, the maximum noise reduction being 25% and 45%, respectively. In the one-photon model coherent squeezed radiation is generated, whereas the two-photon model yields a squeezed vacuum. For an initial atomic preparation close to the ground state, this squeezed vacuum may be interpreted as the result of two-photon interaction between the quantized cavity field and a classical atomic current.
