Cadio Interfaced Smart Home with IoT Enabled Automation Systems

Smart home automation integrates advanced technologies for efficient, convenient, and secure residential living. It employs sensors and actuators to collect data and automate physical tasks. Connectivity protocols Wi-Fi enable seamless communication among devices. This project presents a simpler IoT based home automation system using ESP8266 and Cadio app. This project includes security features include smart user behaviour lighting, motion detection, automatic water level control and locks, enhancing real-time monitoring and remote access. Voice control via virtual assistants like Alexa and google assistant adds a hands-free dimension to device management. Artificial Intelligence teaches user behaviour, enabling the system to automate routines over time. Customization options allow users to create personalized scenarios and routines tailored to their preferences. Here there is no code needed and it is easy to integrate and control. Using this IOT based home automation system reduces electricity bill of consumer and reduces carbon footprint at lower cost by implementation of this home automation project. IOT based Home Automation System

Abstract: This research paper presents an IoT-based home automation system that uses an ESP32 microcontroller to communicate using the ESP32 NOW protocol. The system allows users to remotely monitor and control home appliances through a mobile application. The paper discusses the hardware and software components of the system, including the ESP32 microcontroller, sensors and actuators, and mobile applications. It also describes the communication protocols used for data transfer and user interface design for mobile applications. The proposed system offers several advantages such as low power consumption, high data transfer rate and easy scalability. It also offers users an easy and friendly interface to manage home devices remotely. The results of the experimental evaluation of the system show its efficiency and reliability, indicating that it can be a promising solution for the implementation of smart home automation. Overall, this paper provides valuable insights into the development of IoT-based home automation systems using ESP32 and Flutter technologies that can be useful for researchers and practitioners interested in this field.

Application of IoT for Intelligent Home Automation System

In recent time, internet has revolutionized the whole technology. It is acting as a backbone for the information technology. Subsequently, IoT has seen considerable development as internet became more common. Similarly, research is being carried out to make IoT applications more user friendly especially in web based and android technologies. Internet of thing gives an extensive control by enabling to control remotely the switching of electronics devices such as fan, water pump, cameras, TV etc. In this paper, an IoT based home automation system for remotely controlling the home equipment’s is proposed. We are using Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to control and monitor the electrical appliances with voice command through internet which gives more space for controlling electrical appliances. In automations, things are automatically controlled usually the basic tasks of turning ON/OFF of devices. Here we can not only turn on/off basic devices but can also regulate the speed of fan by setting it at i.e. 30%, 60 and 100%. This makes our IoT based system more intelligent to control electronic devices both from within the home and outside the home as long as internet is available. This will help to reduce the wastage of electricity and save human energy.

IoT Based Home Automation System Using Renewable Energy

Smart Homes are becoming a part of the Internet of Things, which is growing in applications across a wide range of industries. Current smart home systems have discrete features, low portability, limited updating capabilities, and a reliance on personal computers. The proposed system is expanded on renewable energy source from solar with monitoring and controlling website and mobile application. In this article, we recommend an Internet of Things-based smart home system for comfort, entertainment, and security. Smart home technologies using a smart home app on a smartphone or other connected device to control smart devices like security cameras, smart locks, automated doors, and electric appliances (light, fan, air cooler, air conditioner, washing machine, cooking oven, and so on), a user is able to control the comfort, security, convenience, and energy efficiency of their home. This technology will help to prevent wastage of electricity. Users will be able to reduce their total cost to a great extent and this technology will be a milestone in the overall development of the country. This system addresses these issues by utilizing renewable energy source, ESP 8266, and relay module and cloud computing technologies.

IoT Based Home Automation System using a REST API Architecture

Internet of things (IOT) imagines a world where every device at any place can be connected. Home Automation system is growing rapidly and now becoming the requirement of the modern world. IoT based Home Automation System is getting more important as it increases security, comfort and improves the quality of life. In this paper, we have proposed the details of how we can automate the home appliances using ARDUINO and REST API architecture. The result also shows how the use of ARDUINO and REST API architecture is beneficial as client/server communication in the field of the Internet of Things. In this paper, the REST API architecture is implemented practically, tested, and gave the accepted results for controlling home appliances. Home appliances such as TV, lighting, Water pump, Fans and etc were controlled from the web page that was created in the XAMPP platform as a client-side. The aim of this study is to develop a home automation system for controlling electronic appliances from a far range by using the Internet of things (IOT).

Therefore, the cloud acts as a frontend to IoT. Here, we are designing a system that can control the devices through a wireless network or over the cloud. The project aims to design an IoT based home automation system with the goal to giving the user complete control over all things wireless. The proposed system will can be controlled from a central host server, the internet, and also via smartphones simply by using different voice commands.

IoT has gained rapid access and application in a wide spectrum of applications ranging from a heart monitoring device to a sensor in hazardous factory locations saving lives further leaping on to home automation & managing vehicles on roads. Home automation has seen an increased usage in developed countries as most homes are equipped and controlled through IoT. The Internet of Things is a huge network of associated things and individuals all of which gather and share data about the manner in which they are utilized and about the environment around them. In today's modern technological era IOT has gained much admiration and is evolving at a very high pace. This paper lays out an idea of creating an IOT based Home Automation system. It illustrates the use of various hardware devices such as Arduino Uno, ESP8266 NodeMCU and some sensors along with software applications like the google firebase which is a realtime database to create a completely functional smart home. This project proposes a system where the home appliances can be controlled from the user's mobile application via the internet from any part of the world while other minor devices and their tasks are fully automated by the system. It even integrates voice commands to the system using Google's Voice Assistant system. The paper presents a very simple and cost effective system that can be easily implemented in any household. IoT based Home Automation System with Pattern Recognition

Automation has numerous applications. This paper proposes a home automations system which can be effectively used to control and monitor home appliances using the internet. Due to its various advantages, home automation is gaining more and more popularity day by day because of its ability to ensure security and make life much easier. In the system, arduino will be interfaced with multiple sensors that can measure temperature & humidity, light, motion, and so on. The data collected by the various sensors is stored and a pattern analysis is done on the stored data which tells the user at which time the appliances are usually on or off so that they can be automatically controlled without any human intervention by observing the regular usage pattern. The user can also turn on/off any appliance remotely using the internet.

Design and Fabrication of Smart Home With Internet of Things Enabled Automation System

Home automation systems have attracted considerable attention with the advancement of communications technology. A smart home (SH) is an Internet of Things (IoT) application that utilizes the Internet to monitor and control appliances using a home automation system. Lack of IoT technology usage, unfriendly user interface, limited wireless transmission range, and high costs are the limitations of existing home automation systems. Therefore, this study presents a cost-effective and hybrid (local and remote) IoT-based home automation system with a user-friendly interface for smartphones and laptops. A prototype called IoT@HoMe is developed with an algorithm to enable the monitoring of home conditions and automate the control of home appliances over the Internet anytime and anywhere. This system utilizes a node microcontroller unit (NodeMCU) as a Wi-Fi-based gateway to connect different sensors and updates their data to Adafruit IO cloud server. The collected data from several sensors (radio-frequency identification, ultrasonic, temperature, humidity, gas, and motion sensors) can be accessed via If This Then That (IFTTT) on users' devices (smartphones and/or laptops) over the Internet regardless of their location. A set of relays is used to connect the NodeMCU to homes under controlled appliances. The designed system is structured in a portable manner as a control box that can be attached for monitoring and controlling a real house. The proposed IoT-based system for home automation can easily and efficiently control appliances over the Internet and support home safety with autonomous operation. IoT@HoMe is a low cost and reliable automation system that reduces energy consumption and can notably provide convenience, safety, and security for SH residents.
