In this work the yield of ion-photon emission (IPE) was measured under bombardment of Ta target with cluster and multiply-charged projectiles in the energy range of 2–12 keV. The study was carried out on a unique experimental setup created for studying the interaction of cluster and multiply-charged ions with a solid, which was modernized and supplemented with a system for measuring IPE. Primary cluster ions Bim+ (m = 1–4) and multiply charged Biq + ions (q = 1–6) were obtained using the source that was developed. An increase in the integral yield of IPE was observed with an increase in the number of atoms in the bombarding cluster ions and their energy. The yield of IPE during the bombardment of Ta targets with multiply charged Biq + ions (q = 1–6) was shown the IPE yield weakly depends on the multiply charge at q < 4 and increases as the charge increases from 3 to 6.
