Specifics of Interaction Between Authorities And Community in the Conditions of Digitalization of a Public Administration System

The article was prepared within the framework of the implementation of the grant project No. 2022.01/0144 „Implementation of the concept of „Public participation 2.0” for the reconstruction of the city of Kharkiv in the war and post-war periods”, financed by the National Research Fund of Ukraine. Digitization of society has a significant impact on all spheres of life, including the public administration system. The introduction of digital tools and platforms transforms the ways in which the government and the community interact, making them more open, transparent, interactive and accountable. This article explores the specific features of the interaction between the government and the community in the context of the digitalization of the public administration system. The article develops a typology of models of interaction between the government and the community in the digital environment. It identifies and substantiates the advantages and challenges associated with the digitalization of government-to-community interaction. The article also develops practical recommendations for improving government-to-community interaction in the context of digitalization. The research results can be used to improve the public administration system, increase the level of citizen participation in decision-making, increase transparency and accountability of the government, and develop e-democracy.

DIGITALIZATION AS A LEVER OF INNOVATION FOR SMES: AN EXPLORATORY STUDY IN THE CAMEROONIAN CONTEXT

The objective of this study is to examine the influence of digitalization on innovation in Cameroonian firms. To this end, we used the main variables of digitalization, namely ICT and digital technologies, to better explain innovation, whether it be process, product or organizational. To achieve this, the empirical verification was carried out through qualitative data processing analyses such as: descriptive data analysis and MCA (Multiple Correspondence Analysis) method. This qualitative methodological approach enabled us to survey 20 Cameroonian SMEs with different characteristics during the year 2020. The study shows that digitalization has a significant influence, with positive externalities on the innovation of companies. The answers collected show that the adoption and introduction of digital tools in the exercise of the company’s activities leads to the reinvention of the company’s traditional management models. The originality of our work lies in the fact that the study attempts to use a qualitative method to question the relationship between digitalization and innovation in Cameroonian SMEs.

The paper aims to describe the methodological potential of using the relevant digital tools that are accessible for teachers and technical university students and directed at developing the students’ linguistic competence in the process of foreign language teaching. The paper clarifies the components of technical university students’ linguistic competence, defines the features of smart learning in the process of developing the competence in question. The novelty of the paper lies in elaborating a methodological system for linguistic competence development among future engineers based on the introduction of digital tools into English language teaching. The results of a conducted methodological experiment involving first-year students confirmed the effectiveness of implementing the proposed methodological system in the process of teaching the discipline “Foreign language” at a technical university.

Assessment of indicators of students» physical and psychological health in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic

Digitalization of the educational process gradually developed in parallel with the introduction of digital tools into people»s daily lives. Prolonged contact with media can negatively affect students» self-esteem and the awareness of personal value, as well as causes excessive stress. It is particularly noted that any dependence on the use of infor mation technology increases the risk to the health of children and studying adolescents. However, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2022), the problem of education digitalization became particularly acute: it was necessary to conduct classes, test stu dents» knowledge, and check homework completely in a remote mode. The need for such an urgent revision of the education system caused rapid development and introduction of new digital technologies into the educational programs of many educational institutions. Despite the fact that at present there is no need to conduct various events remotely, meth ods of blended or distance learning are still present in the activities of many educational organizations. Nevertheless, it is essential to note an unhealthy trend among students that qualitatively affects their health: during the epidemic, the amount of gadget use time sig nificantly increased compared to the norms of the SanPiN. In addition, forced self-isolation had a negative impact on health. Constant presence in the same environment negatively affected the psycho-emotional state of children, entailing general asthenization, a partic ular manifestation of which often was the development of affective disorders. This article discusses the results of an empirical study assessing the impact of distance learning on the physical and psychological state of students. The survey of both students and their parents was conducted. This made it possible to identify subjective and objective assessments of the risk factors impact. Analyzing the results, it becomes obvious that digitalization of the educational process has a negative impact on the psycho-emotional and physical condi tion of students, leading to a loss of educational motivation, behavior changes, decreased performance, and other negative consequences. The relationship between the introduction of distance learning and the development of stress in students was studied.

Economic efficiency of innovations in cultural institutions: the case of museums

Classical museums have been in a difficult situation in recent years, which was further aggravated by the closure due to the coronavirus epidemic. The needs of the children of generation Y and Z have changed, and innovation and digital opportunities are natural for them. For these reasons, they recognized the need for reforms. Dealing with culture was also important for the European Union, IV. industrial revolution, and in the period of digitization, resources must also be provided for the development and rethinking of museums. The introduction of digital tools and interactive opportunities has become necessary so that the younger generations can find their way back to the museum as a cultural opportunity. In addition, it can only become an active and profit-oriented player in the economy if it transmits information interactively. The visitor learns from it and develops. And after a positive experience, he repeats the visit. In an economic sense, one of the basic tasks of cultural marketing is to learn about the practice of consumption and the framework of cultural consumption, which provides important information for marketing decisions. By learning about consumer behavior, what, why and under the influence of what factors visitors consume, and how these are expected to influence future consumption. Separate museum communities have been set up, which carry out different tasks. Cultural interest, heritage protection, commitment to preserving traditions, and love of beauty also build a community. Communities create truly lovable museums that keep visitors coming back again and again. Where lifelong transfer of new knowledge, gaining experience and promoting personal interaction are the focus. Illustrating with examples, interactivity is not an option for a museum, but a condition for entering the 21st century, as well as for a profit-oriented economic operator. Just as money was renewed and constantly changing, museums also needed to arrive in the 21st century. century, but the path to innovations is, overall, only a matter of money.

Digitization as a tool for revitalizing the livestock industry

Digitalization of the country’s economy should currently be considered as an integral prerequisite for its development, the activation of which is necessary at all levels, from the state to the level of an individual citizen. In the agricultural sector, the introduction of digital tools and technologies is necessary in view of their significant potential in the context of increasing the productivity of resources and increasing the level of competitiveness of products, manufacturers, industries, and the state as a whole. The livestock industry in Ukraine is experiencing a severe lack of electronic digital services. The purpose of the article is to justify the importance of using digitization for the innovative development of the livestock industry. The following methods of scientific knowledge were used in the research process: theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis, data analysis, economic-statistical, graphic, correlation-regression, cartographic and abstract -logical. The main tools of digitization of the process of resource provision of producers of livestock products were summarized. Systematized priority types of information technologies within the framework of digitalization of business processes of producers of livestock products depending on the field of application, the main of which are information systems for determining actual and potential resource needs, selection of potential suppliers and organization of purchase and sale operations (field of resource provision); technologies for monitoring the state of farm animals, optimizing the diet and veterinary measures, forecasting the state of the animal, disease outbreaks, livestock productivity (production); online platforms for selling livestock products, electronic document management services, etc. (sales of products). The directions of using geo-information systems and technologies in order to ensure the development of the animal husbandry industry, which involve taking into account the information needs of potential users (in particular, producers of livestock products, investors and/or creditors, executive authorities, consumers) and providing them with accurate, unbiased, operational data, are substantiated. necessary for making management decisions. Therefore, digitalization should be considered as one of the promising tools for intensifying the development of animal husbandry and increasing the efficiency of production and sale of animal products. The practical value of the work lies in the development of the systematization of priority types of information technologies within the framework of digitalization of business processes for the production of livestock products.

Development managing stages of hybrid intelligent learning environment for student’s mathematics research activities

Problem and aim. The search for relevant solutions to the restructuring of the architecture of modern education, elements of a new system through the organization of an intellectual learning environment adapted to the research activities of schoolchildren on the development of complex mathematical knowledge is a research problem. Materials and methods. 52 teachers and 234 students of schools in Moscow (Russian Federation) took part in the survey. Diagnostic methods were aimed at obtaining data on the use of various digital resources and tools in everyday learning activities and the level of their intellectualization. The methods of descriptive statistics were used (variation series, histograms, measures of central tendency and scatter), as well as Pearson's χ2-test. The results of the study. About 90% of the surveyed teachers and 80% of schoolchildren spoke in favor of the idea of introducing intelligent systems into the learning process, but more than 75% of respondents cannot give examples of such systems and environments. The opinion of trainees on the introduction of digital tools into the educational process differs significantly from the opinion of their mentors (χ2 emp=33,4> χ2 cr (0,01)=2,65). The main stages of designing an intelligent learning system are presented: the development of methodological provisions for the intelligent management of the educational process; determination of personalized parameters of scientific potential that determine the structure of educational and research content; development of a database and knowledge of the subject of project activities; choice of architecture and functionality of the hybrid neural network. Conclusion. The author's methodological and technological solutions will provide scientists with a reference point for further research in the field of improving high-tech forms of e-learning, and teachers will have the opportunity to explore practical ways to implement personalized and adaptive distance learning through automated intelligent systems. Development of a Digital Tool for the Head of an Educational Organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia

The subject of the study is the digitalization of management activities in the educational organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The object of the study is the processes taking place in the educational organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia during the organization of personnel training, their optimization, as well as the development of the head's tools for working with an array of data in the areas of the organization's activities aimed at reducing the volume of paper document flow, reducing resources for data collection and systematization, obtaining information on the principle of "here and now" according to the currently necessary criterion of the effectiveness of the educational organization. The authors note that the introduction of digital tools in the activities of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia will provide the heads of organizations with the opportunity to obtain operational information to make effective decisions, create conditions for creating a unified system of electronic internal and external document management, while significantly reducing the need for duplication of information on paper for different regulatory structures. As a result of the conducted research, the authors proposed the development of a software product, the main task of which is to provide the head of an educational organization with an effective tool for analyzing the activities of an educational organization. The use of this software product in the activity provides the head of the educational organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with the opportunity to promptly receive data on all processes occurring in subordinate structural units, increases the efficiency of analyzing this data, provides additional arguments for choosing an effective strategy for the development of the organization, and also provides the organization with the possibility of operational communication and interaction with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Ministry of Education Russia, training customers, as well as regulatory authorities and organizations.

Digital transformation of accounting: the impact of technologies on the efficiency and quality of financial reporting

Digital transformation in accounting has come a long way from the days of complex calculations and paper documentation. The industry is currently being transformed by digital technology and innovation. The article reveals the role of digital transformation in accounting, pointing to changes not only in the technical aspects of data processing, but also in strategic approaches to doing business. The introduction of digital tools and automated processes allows enterprises not only to adapt to the competitive environment, but also to increase the efficiency and quality of their work. The article examines the technologies that affect this process, notes their advantages and points to key aspects of implementation. She emphasizes the importance of understanding the essence of these technologies to achieve better financial management and increase the company's competitiveness. It also emphasizes that digital transformation requires changes in organizational culture, staff skills, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Both the importance of implementing technologies and the requirements for companies to invest, train staff, and transition to new processes in the area of accounting are highlighted.

РОЗВИТОК ПОТЕНЦІАЛУ ПІДПРИЄМСТВ БУДІВЕЛЬНОЇ ГАЛУЗІ В УМОВАХ ЦИФРОВІЗАЦІЇ

The article determines that the COVID-19 pandemic, despite its large-scale pressure on the population and healthcare system, resources and economies of all countries without exception, has become a unique driver that has set the impetus for the implementation of grand transformations. Digitalization of the construction industry takes place both through the introduction of digital tools and through the automation of business processes and the transition to digital means of communication. It is argued that the domestic construction industry lags far behind global digitalization trends. Currently, most domestic construction companies are in a difficult financial and economic situation caused by a sharp drop in demand for construction services as a result of the war, which limits their potential for digital transformation. Given the global trends in digitalization, the article reveals the content of digital technologies and their capabilities in the field of ensuring the development of the potential of construction industry enterprises, which made it possible to identify the advantages and disadvantages of their use. The article reveals the obstacles that hinder the digital development of the domestic construction industry, the key ones being irrational and inefficient use of resources, primarily technological, material and human resources; high turnover and systematic shortage of personnel; low level of implementation of digital construction tools; lack of definition of national strategic priorities for the development of the construction industry, which leads to isolation of construction companies and delay of their own digital transformation processes. The concept of developing the potential of construction industry enterprises through the introduction of digital technologies has been formed, which defines the purpose, principles, tasks, and digital transformation tools in the following areas: creating an effective management decision support system; optimizing project activities and business processes; forming a competent team of employees and a favorable corporate culture. The key goal of this concept is to ensure the development of the potential of construction companies through the implementation of digital transformations.

СОВРЕМЕННЫЕ ПРОБЛЕМЫ ВНЕДРЕНИЯ ЭЛЕМЕНТОВ ТОЧНОГО ЗЕМЛЕДЕЛИЯ

Currently, the digitalization of the economy in the Russian Federation has a special role. Agriculture is one of the main sectors of the economy that ensures the country's food security has been actively developed in this direction in recent years. The introduction of digital tools into agricultural production is going on everywhere, but at the same time it is used in every farm partially or the existing elements are not related to each other. In all cases, the introduction of precision farming elements is aimed at reducing costs, which ultimately should lead to economic benefits. At the same time, an economic entity should not forget about the most important thing – to benefit from preserving and improving the existing state of ecosystems subject to anthropogenic impact. The introduction of precision farming in agriculture is impossible without high-quality information and technical support. The paper considers the current state and problems of the introduction of precision farming elements. The main problem, at present, is the lack of complete and reliable information about the qualitative and quantitative condition of land in agriculture, which affects their level and efficiency of use in production. One of the ways to organize the rational use of land is to take into account the agro-landscape features of the territory when introducing precision farming.

Improving the governance and legal framework for implementing financial and fiscal innovation in a digitalized environment

This paper considers the organizational and legal support of the processes of digitalization of innovation in the financial and tax sectors. The main prerequisites were identified, and the role of financial and tax innovations in the development of the economy at the macro level was defined. Emphasis is on digital technologies as the main driving force of innovation in the financial and tax sector. The relationship between the concepts of "financial and tax innovations" and "financial engineering" has been established. The main directions of digitalization of the financial and tax sectors are identified. The digital technologies that have the greatest impact on financial and tax innovation are identified, namely: blockchain, Big Data, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, the Internet of Things. The directions of legal regulation were substantiated and further steps to develop legal support for the digitalization of the financial sector were determined. To this end, the components of legal regulation, institutional regulation, and scientific and methodological regulation of digitalization of the financial sector are detailed. In contrast to numerous studies in the field of legal support and regulation of digitalization of the financial and tax sectors, it has been hypothesized and proved that the greatest effect is achieved with the harmonious interaction of institutional components. The system of management of financial and tax innovations in the context of digitalization has been improved. To this end, the stages of the transformation process of the financial and tax innovation management system in the context of digitalization were detailed and an algorithm for digitalization of the financial sector has been developed. A Review on Digitalization Approaches for Battery Manufacturing Processes

Lithium ion batteries (LiBs) continue to be the most advanced technology in the battery systems as the world rushes to meet the diverse and expanding demands of the energy storage solutions. Research institutions, academia and industries requires a safer, high-performance and cheaper LiBs to accelerate the transition from oil-based to an electrical-based economy. Because of some interdependent electrochemical kinetics involved in the LiB chemistry, and time it takes for the fabrication process it became one of the challenging aspects in this modern day life as it is time consuming and needs to be updated with upcoming materials and methodologies[1]. To overcome these challenges quickly, introduction of digital tools [2] which can optimize the parameters of making LiBs are being researched and are trying to implement them in the battery manufacturing industry. Typically, the state of art manufacturing of batteries is a sequence of intermittent steps like slurry preparation, coating and drying, electrode cutting, calendaring, stacking pouch cell formation, electrolyte filling, sealing and mechanical and electrochemical testing which have to be precisely controlled and optimize each dependent parameters carefully and reorganize them for the fabrication to adopt to new systems which takes a lot of effort and machine handling for new innovative battery technologies. Automation of this manufacturing process with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine learning(ML) or Internet of Things (IoT) is the new way of approach [3]. These approaches can help the research and battery manufacturing plants to meet the demands of cost effectiveness, sustainability, time needs and scalability. Digitalization of these techniques on one hand can reduce the time to market and provide a profitable manufacturing and on the other hand it can guide the cell prototyping and advanced cell chemistry to the new manufacturing tools in the virtual way. Digital Dialogue in Learning: Cognitive, Social, Existential Features and Risks

Digitalization of socio-cultural phenomena, including the education system, generates transformations of their qualitative characteristics and parameters, which requires research from the standpoint of methodological analysis and assessment of their possible consequences on humans and society. A significant element of the digital environment, in general, and educational, in particular, is the dialogue, the role of which has both cognitive and ideological, existential, social aspects. The purpose of the research is a philosophical analysis of the digital transformation of dialogue in the context of the educational process, an assessment of its potential and impact on the individual. The research methodology has a complex, interdisciplinary character and is associated with the application of an existential approach to understanding the essence of dialogue (M. Bakhtin, M. Buber, G. Marcel, E. Levinas), the theory of the development of individual thinking by L.S. Vygotsky, developed by the author of the theories of electronic (digital) culture and based on modern developments in the field of the introduction of digital tools in education. The study shows that dialogue in the digital learning environment becomes not so much a form of rapprochement, integration of subjects, as a form of autonomy, isolation, individuals, which changes the nature of learning and has social and existential consequences. This creates the need to transform the digital learning environment when using it from the position of supplementing it with ethical, socio-psychological and emotional components and support tools for the student. Based on the existential-axiological analysis, the positive and risky features of digital dialogue as one of the phenomena of electronic culture and online learning tools are revealed. The concept of digital dialogue in learning, the characteristics of its features, functions, role and influence on the learner in the digital environment are presented. The difficulties of dialogic learning characteristic of the digital environment are revealed, recommendations of a methodological and methodical nature for application in the education system are presented.

Crowdinvesting market: Prospects for development in Russia

Subject. The article considers the crowdinvesting market: its tools, participants, form of organization, risks, prospects for development in the Russian economy. Objectives. The aims of the study include analysis of new financing instruments that appeared in conditions of digital technologies resulting from the concept of co-investment (crowdfunding); exploration of possibilities of crowdlending mechanism and equity crowdfunding in the Russian economy as a tool to attract financial resources for business; substantiation of feasibility of crowdinvesting in conditions of high volatility and instability of the Russian market. Methods. The study draws on the systems approach and methods of analysis, synthesis, comparative analysis, generalization, etc. Results. Using digital technologies, new financing tools enable to provide a part of the business with financial resources through crowdlending and equity crowdfunding, to place free cash with the best return for co-investors. The introduction of digital tools and the use of any market instruments are accompanied by various risks that should be taken into account by the participants of transactions, regulators. Conclusions. The advantages of digital financing instruments formed on the principles of collective investment can attract the necessary additional funding to the economy.

Development of Mining Assets in the Mining Industry

In practice, the industry and the business sector have felt the impact of the coronavirus that has spread around the world. Today it is not known when the system will recover, but it is already quite clear that the post-covid reality will require radically new approaches to the organization of mining operations. Usually, the conservative mining industry in Russia has felt the influence of new trends set by the pandemic, such as, for example, the transition of employees to remote work, which has spurred an accelerated transition to automated work; a change in the distribution chain, are inseparable from the closure of borders, the acquisition of new skills from staff, and others. This article focuses on the development of mining assets in the mining industry. The article concretizes the essence of geometry. Appropriate solutions for end-to-end optimization of the “mine-factory” system are outlined due to a deep understanding of the characteristics of the ore and the introduction of digital tools. The most popular innovations necessary for implementation into the modern mining process have been identified, ranked according to the categories “Production materials, technologies and equipment”, “Automation and digitalization”, “Field development”, “Technologies of deep processing of raw materials: green chemistry”, “Technologies of deep processing “processing of raw materials: green metallurgy”. The production assets of the Polar Division are analyzed using the example of PJSC Mining and Metallurgical Company Norilsk Nickel. As a project initiative to improve the efficiency of ore mining within the mine field, the reconstruction of a skip ventilation shaft from a cage to a skip-cage is being created. A variant of solving the geomechanical problems of the company is being considered.

Представлено напрями активізації застосування цифрових інструментів забезпечення сталого розвитку на сучасному етапі трансформаційних змін в Україні.

Digital Transformation of Small Enterprise Activities in the Context of Economic Security

Aim. The presented study aims to develop recommendations for improving the existing mechanisms of adaptation of small enterprises to the uncertain conditions of the external environment associated with digitalization processes in the economy.Tasks. The author analyzes the existing mechanisms of adaptation of small enterprises to the conditions of uncertainty; substantiates the connection between the digitalization of business processes and the economic security of enterprises; proposes an original approach to the content of the mechanism of adaptation of small enterprises to the processes of digitalization.Methods. The author uses general and special scientific methods and techniques. General scientific methods include analysis and synthesis, comparison and generalization, modeling, literature review, observation, and expert assessment. Special scientific methods include factor analysis and process analysis.Results. The author substantiates the introduction of digital tools provided by Industry 4.0 and step-by-step digitalization of small enterprises in the form of original diagrams demonstrating the content of the mechanism of adaptation of enterprises to the processes of digitalization, individual elements of this mechanism (Internet marketing and its technologies), and prospects for the development of the mechanism in the form of a diagram of its integration into a large digital ecosystem (region, cluster, etc.). The most significant elements of the proposed adaptation mechanism are the mechanism of digitalization and the mechanism of economic security of small enterprises as well as their relationship and balance of interests. The study examines practical approaches to the step-by-step digitalization of small enterprise activities by assessing the efficiency of introducing certain Internet marketing tools in the activities of a small enterprise that does not directly operate in online mode (a chain of driving schools). A relevant investment project is assessed, showing the efficiency of all proposed scenarios. The author also considers the prospects of integrating small enterprises into a single digital ecosystem of a larger structure or entity (region, cluster, etc.) for a large-scale socio-economic synergetic effect that would serve as a mutual benefit for all participants of the system.Conclusions. In spite of the lack of a clear model for the digitalization of the economy in Russia and many obstacles to the successful digital transformation of small enterprises, practical digitalization mechanisms are already being developed, offering a set of step-by-step actions for small enterprises with allowance for their limited resources and prospects for development in each market. One of the success factors of digitalization is the correlation and balance between digitalization mechanisms and the economic security of enterprises. By adopting international approaches to Internet marketing technologies, a modern small enterprise gains a significant strategic advantage in the long term.

Quality management of the chemical-technological process for continuous synthesis of pharmaceutical substances of medicinal compounds in flow microreactors

Objectives. The introduction of digital tools for the development of medicines, intelligent management systems, and quality control is stipulated not only by modern requirements for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry but also by strict regulatory requirements for manufactured products. This principle ensures the release of a quality product on the first attempt. The aim of this study is to develop information support for the intelligent quality management system for the production of active pharmaceutical substances (APSs) for medicines using a fundamentally new technology: continuous synthesis in flow microreactors. To develop the necessary information support, we developed appropriate systemic, informational, and mathematical models; algorithms for the online management of the experiment; and techniques and algorithms to qualitatively assess whether the product meets official regulatory documents.Methods. System analysis techniques, information and mathematical modeling techniques with multireference regression models, and online optimization using the Hook–Jeevs algorithm (a method of expert evaluation based on the concordance factor) were used to solve the problems formulated.Results. To manage the quality of the process of continuous APS synthesis in the flow microreactor, we developed theoretic multiple system models that were designed to build the digital information environment for the process of experimental research. We developed algorithms for mathematical modeling and optimization of the control process based on multiresponse regression models and an online optimization algorithm that allows the process to be managed step by step, taking into account the limitations. Our results show that the degree of conversion is higher in reactions that contain bromodiphenylmethan.Conclusions. Based on mathematical modeling method algorithms for the quality control of the process of continuous APS synthesis on a fundamentally new microreactor system, Qmix were developed. The applicability of the proposed methods and algorithms in the production of the drug diphenhydramine from chlorobenzohydrol and bromobenzohydrol as initial substances was proven by an experimental study. The built models were statistically adequate and valid.

The Role of Privacy in Digitalization – Analyzing Perspectives of German Farmers

AbstractTechnological progress can disrupt domains and change the way we work and collaborate. This paper presents a qualitative study with 52 German farmers that investigates the impact of the ongoing digitalization process in agriculture and discusses the implications for privacy research. As in other domains, the introduction of digital tools and services leads to the data itself becoming a resource. Sharing this data with products along the supply chain is favored by retailers and consumers, who benefit from traceability through transparency. However, transparency can pose a privacy risk. Having insight into the business data of others along the supply chain provides an advantage in terms of market position. This is particularly true in agriculture, where there is already a significant imbalance of power between actors. A multitude of small and medium-sized farming businesses are opposed by large upstream and downstream players that drive technological innovation. Further weakening the market position of farmers could lead to severe consequences for the entire sector. We found that on the one hand, privacy behaviors are affected by adoption of digitalization, and on the other hand, privacy itself influences adoption of digital tools. Our study sheds light on the emerging challenges for farmers and the role of privacy in the process of digitalization in agriculture.
