Advancing High-Performance Piezoelectric Nanogenerators: Simple Electric Field Switching for Orientated and Aligned BaTiO3/PDMS Composite.

Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is renowned for its high dielectric constant and remarkable piezoelectric attributes, positioning it as a key element in the advancement of environmentally sustainable devices. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of piezoelectric nanogenerators (PENGs) that integrate BaTiO3 nanoparticles (NPs) and poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) poses a challenge, thereby restricting their utility in energy harvesting applications. This study presents a direct approach involving the cyclic manipulation of direct current (DC) power supply terminals to achieve unidirectional alignment of BaTiO3 NPs within a PDMS matrix, aiming to enhance the performance of the PENGs. Examination of the morphology and evaluation of diffraction planes, notably (111) and (200), in the aligned BaTiO3 PENGs exhibited well-oriented structures resulting from the repetitive switching between two electrodes, leading to improved piezoelectric properties. The BaTiO3 PENGs manifested notably higher output power (∼15 V and 1.91 μA) in contrast to devices containing randomly distributed polarized BaTiO3-PDMS composite films. The generated power was sufficient to directly operate six light-emitting diodes (LEDs) connected in series, with a collective nominal voltage of around 14 V, encompassing red, green, and blue LEDs. Nanoindentation verified the enhanced piezoelectric characteristics attributed to the alignment, sensitivity to bending, and energy-cohesive effects of clustered BaTiO3 one-dimensional (1D) pillars. These findings suggest a widely applicable technique for aligning and situating nanoparticles vertically within a polymer matrix, exploiting the intrinsic dielectric properties of the nanoparticles through a straightforward electric field switching mechanism.

Polar phonons features and intrinsic dielectric properties of RE2CoMnO6 (RE = Tb, Dy, Ho, Tm and Yb) double perovskites

RE-based double perovskite (DP) oxides of the RE₂TMTM'O₆ family exhibit intriguing magnetodielectric (MD) properties and magnetocaloric effects (MCEs), making them promising candidates for applications in high-performance supercapacitors, memories, spintronic devices, and cryogenic magnetic refrigeration. This paper addresses the vibrational properties of RE2CoMnO6 (RE = Tb, Dy, Ho, Tm, and Yb) ceramics for the first time using infrared reflectance spectroscopy. The dielectric merit factors in the microwave (MW) range, including the quality factor (Qu) and the static dielectric constant (ɛ0), were estimated. It was observed that the intrinsic dielectric constants decrease from approximately 26.2 to 14.4 as the rare earth ionic radius decreases. The mean values of these compounds suggest their suitability for applications in MW circuitry devices.

Crystal structure, microwave dielectric properties, and far-infrared spectroscopy of a novel low-dielectric constant tremolite ceramic CaZnGe2O6

The diopside-structured CaZnGe2O6 ceramics were synthesized using the conventional solid-state reaction method in this study, and their crystal structure, microstructural evolution, and microwave dielectric properties were systematically investigated. The XRD and Rietveld refinement analyses confirmed that CaZnGe2O6 crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system with a C2/c space group. The intrinsic microwave dielectric properties of the ceramics were evaluated using far-infrared spectroscopy. The ceramic structure exhibits high density and microstructural homogeneity after sintering at 1130 °C, resulting in exceptional microwave dielectric properties achieved at this optimal temperature (εr = 8.78 Q×f = 63,782 GHz, τf = −66.4 ppm/°C). These findings highlight the potential application of CaZnGe2O6 ceramics as low-permittivity materials suitable for microwave devices.

Low sintering temperature, interface characteristic and microwave/terahertz dielectric properties of ternary-phase Nd2O3-P2O5 based ceramics for patch antenna application

In this work, LiF was chosen as a sintering aid to lower the sintering temperature required for monoclinic NdPO4 (NPO) ceramic. A comprehensive investigation was conducted to analyze the impact of LiF on the sintering characteristics, microstructures, phase compositions, crystalline structures, interface characteristics, and microwave dielectric properties of NPO ceramic. Structure-property relationships were discussed based on the density, crystallite size, and lattice strain. The complex impedance spectroscopy revealed the mechanism underlying the interface characteristics of LiF on NPO ceramic. Additionally, far-infrared reflectance spectra and THz time-domain spectra revealed the intrinsic dielectric properties of NdPO4–1 wt.%LiF (NPO1). Notably, 1 wt.% LiF effectively reduced the sintering temperature from 1300 °C to 850 °C, significantly improving densification and dielectric properties. Typical properties such as Q × f = 55,840 GHz (at 9.58 GHz), εr = 10.4, and τf = −43.1 ppm °C−1 were obtained for NPO1 ceramic after sintering at 850 °C. Furthermore, its compatibility with Ag was explored as a prerequisite for LTCC applications. Finally, the NPO1 ceramic was designed as a microstrip antenna with high gain (6.83 dB) and low return loss (−18.85 dB) at a centre frequency of 2.56 GHz, demonstrating its potential for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth applications. This work provides a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for developing orthophosphate ceramics.

Crystal structures, lattice vibrational characteristics, and dielectric responses of ZnWO4 microwave dielectric ceramics sintered at different temperatures

The study meticulously examined the impact of varying sintering temperatures on the phase transformations, crystallographic configurations, dielectric response mechanisms, and lattice vibrational characteristics of the ZnWO4 ceramics. Far-infrared reflectance spectra were fitted using a four-parameter semiquantum model to obtain the intrinsic dielectric properties. Moreover, the contribution to the dielectric properties for each vibrational mode was analyzed, indicating that the lower-frequency mode had the most contribution. The relationship linking the structural aspects to the properties of ZnWO4 ceramics was elucidated through an analysis of the Raman spectral modes across a range of sintering temperatures, overcoming the limitation of solely textual description without mathematical quantification. When sintered at 1070 °C, the ZnWO4 ceramic had the best dielectric properties: εr = 14.81, Q×f = 34,239 GHz (f = 9.69 GHz), with the highest relative density of 96.95 %.

Investigations of crystal structure, phase compositions and intrinsic dielectric properties of novel Ba2RE2Si4O13 ceramics by bond theory and infrared spectroscopy

Novel Ba2RE2Si4O13 (RE = La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Ho, Er and Yb) ceramics were prepared by traditional solid reaction methods. The phase compositions of Ba2RE2Si4O13 ceramics were explored. The triclinic structure with P1¯ space group of Ba2RE2Si4O13 ceramics was confirmed by TEM and Rietveld refinement analyses, and the decrease in the ionic radius of RE3+ induced the phase transition from low symmetry (triclinic) to high symmetry (monoclinic) between Ba2Sm2Si4O13 and Ba2Eu2Si4O13. εr-exp of the Ba2RE2Si4O13 ceramics was significantly affected by ionic polarisability. The ‘rattling and compressing effects’ of cations also affected the εr-exp of Ba2RE2Si4O13 ceramics. The intrinsic dielectric loss of Ba2RE2Si4O13 ceramics were evaluated by the far-IR reflectivity spectrum, and high Q × f values of the Ba2Nd2Si4O13 and Ba2Eu2Si4O13 ceramics were attributed to their large total lattice energy and activation energy. The average bond valence of RE3+ played an important role in controlling the τf values of the Ba2RE2Si4O13 single-phase ceramics, and the high average bond valence of RE3+ corresponded with the small negative τf values. Great microwave dielectric properties (εr = 11.52, Q × f = 33,600 GHz at 11.80 GHz and τf = ‒25.6 ppm/ °C) were obtained in the Ba2Nd2Si4O13 single-phase ceramic.

(Invited) Probing Charge Carrier-Induced Changes in the Complex Dielectric Function in Carbon Nanotube Dispersions

The injection of charge carriers into pi-conjugated semiconductors, whether by electrochemical injection or chemical charge transfer, is a powerful approach to tune their electrical conductivity. Recently, the concept of dielectric catastrophe, where the charge carrier density is sufficiently large to significantly alter the intrinsic dielectric properties, has been demonstrated at high doping levels in organic semiconductor thin films. The observed increase in the dielectric constant leads to reduced coulombic interactions between charge carriers and the associated counterions, promoting enhanced free carrier generation and transport.Here, we employ a combination of steady state optical spectroscopy, quantitative 19F NMR studies, and microwave dielectric loss spectroscopy to probe charge carrier density and transport in doped single-walled carbon nanotube dispersions. We demonstrate that a similar dielectric catastrophe phenomenon can be observed even in isolated single-walled carbon nanotubes dispersed in a low dielectric constant solvent AND, perhaps more surprisingly, at carrier densities less than one carrier per nanotube. The precise details of the observed changes in complex dielectric function are dependent on the chemical structure of the charge-transfer dopant, with a near-instantaneous increase in the dielectric constant and electrical conductivity observed for low carrier densities using bulky benzyloxy-substituted icosahedral dodecaborane cluster dopants, DDBs. We attribute the observations to weak coulombic interactions between the injected charge carrier and the dopant counterion, along with the large polarizability afforded by the unique physicochemical properties of single-walled carbon nanotubes. If time permits, we will show results from recent studies where we extend this approach to the doping of other nanocarbons.

Crystal structures, dielectric properties, and lattice vibrational characteristics of Zn1-xCaxWO4 (x = 0–0.25) composite ceramics

In this work, Zn1-xCaxWO4 (x=0–0.25, ZCWO) composite ceramics were prepared by using the conventional solid-state sintering method at 1070 ℃. The impact of Ca2+ substitution on the lattice vibrational characteristics and dielectric responses of the ZCWO composite ceramics was investigated in detail. The formation of composite ceramics was verified by the Rietveld refined X-ray diffraction data of the ZCWO samples. The lattice vibrational characteristics were also identified and analyzed by the Raman and infrared reflection spectra combined with the theoretical simulations. The vibrational modes analysis of the Raman spectra showed that the internal modes of the ZCWO ceramics correspond to the vibrations of the W-O octahedrons. From the Fourier transform infrared reflectance spectra, the existence of three new vibrational modes of Au (315 cm−1), Au (834 cm−1), and Eu (885 cm−1) at x = 0.15–0.25 was observed, which belong to the modes of the CaWO4 ceramic. In addition, the intrinsic dielectric properties fitted by the four-parameter semiquantum model were in direct agreement with the theoretical values obtained from the Clausius-Mossotti & damping equations and the measured values. Besides, the contribution of each lattice vibrational mode to the intrinsic properties of the ZCWO ceramics was thoroughly studied, which shows that external mode 1 contributes the most to the intrinsic properties. The structure-property relationships of the ZCWO ceramics were established using the Raman modes as a media. The optimum dielectric properties of the ZCWO ceramics were obtained when x = 0.25: εr =13.98 (10.48 GHz), Q × f = 32,188 GHz.

Integration Of Acoustophoresis and Dielectrophoresis on A Single Chip Platform: A Numerical Study

Passive or active manipulation forces would be needed for the microfluidic system for chemical and biological analysis in order to regulate, trap, separate, sort, and discriminate between particles and cells. The primary goals of passive manipulation are consistency and repeatability to attain high levels of control with exact trajectories. In the meantime, by introducing external forces like hydrodynamic, dielectrophoretic, magnetophoretic, acoustophoretic, and optical tweezing, the active manipulations allow to control particle displacement in a highly predictable and consistent fashion. These methods are much more promising for the development of a small and compact biomedical diagnostic rapid test. Since most biological particles are suspended in different biological fluids like blood and urine, dielectrophoresis (DEP) and acoustophoresis (ACP) have been demonstrated to be promising among these external forces because of their ability to apply forces on the particles in a liquid environment. Additionally, both techniques are fast, inexpensive to fabricate, label-free, and incredibly selective. In this study, we introduce a novel method that combines these two forces into a single chip, improving the separation process for ACP and DEP based on the intrinsic dielectric and acoustic properties of the particles, respectively. It is anticipated that this research would shed light on why particular manipulative factors predominate more or less in particular situations.

The ultralow loss Li2Mg3Ti1−xAl4x/3O6 microwave dielectric ceramics and its design of dielectric resonator antenna

The Li2Mg3Ti1−xAl4x/3O6 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.1) ceramics are synthesized using the solid phase method, showing excellent microwave dielectric properties with εr = 14.05, Q × f = 144 500 GHz, and τf = −43 ppm/°C at x = 0.04. Rietveld refinements, based on the XRD data, reveal that the Li2Mg3Ti1−xAl4x/3O6 ceramics crystallize in the rock salt structure with Fm-3m space group. The relationship between the crystal structure and intrinsic microwave dielectric properties is studied in detail. The variation in the dielectric constant is related to ionic polarization and relative density. The quality factor (Q × f) demonstrates a strong correlation with lattice energy, relative density, and concentration of Ti3+. The variation of τf is influenced by the bond thermal expansion coefficient and bond valence. The dielectric resonant antenna, manufactured from Li2Mg3Ti0.96Al0.0533O6-0.09TiO2 ceramic with near-zero τf, shows a bandwidth of 230 MHz at 7.40 GHz and a high radiant efficiency, which indicates that high-quality factor Li2Mg3Ti0.96Al0.0533O6 ceramic has significant potential in relevant fields such as 5G and smart driving.

Graphene‑Assisted Assembly of Electrically and Magnetically Conductive Ceramic Nanofibrous Aerogels Enable Multifunctionality

AbstractCeramic aerogels are gaining increasing attention due to their low density, high‐temperature resistance, and excellent chemical stability. However, conventional ceramic aerogels are hindered by their intrinsic brittleness and limited dielectric properties, which restrict their scalable manufacturing and multifunctional applications. Here, ultralight, biomimetic porous, electrically and magnetically conductive ceramic nanofibrous aerogels composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) nanofibers, graphene, and metal–organic framework (MOF) derivatives are prepared through an ice‐templating freeze‐casting followed by annealing approach. The renewable SiO2 nanofibers form robust bonding points with graphene, constructing interconnected high‐porosity aerogels with good mechanical resilience. This allows for efficient integration of MOF‐derived magnetic nanoparticles associated with a synergistic mechanical enhancement. The synergies of the dielectric and magnetic components, combined with the uniformly arranged sheet‐like cell walls which facilitate the outstanding electromagnetic wave absorption performance. Moreover, the hydrophobic ceramic aerogels showcase excellent magnetothermal conversion, contributing to the application in wireless therapy, antibacterial, and magnetothermal deicing. Furthermore, the nanofibrous aerogels exhibit good thermal stability and insulation properties, rendering them highly suitable for thermal management devices in extreme conditions. With the renewable, convenient, and scalable manufacturing method, these multifunctional ceramic nanofibrous aerogels thus hold great promise in electromagnetic protection, wireless heating, and next‐generation thermal management devices.

Hybrid Molecular Beam Epitaxy for Single-Crystalline Oxide Membranes with Binary Oxide Sacrificial Layers.

The advancement in thin-film exfoliation for synthesizing oxide membranes has led to possibilities for creating artificially assembled heterostructures with structurally and chemically incompatible materials. The sacrificial layer method is a promising approach to exfoliate as-grown films from a compatible material system, allowing for their integration with dissimilar materials. Nonetheless, the conventional sacrificial layers often possess an intricate stoichiometry, thereby constraining their practicality and adaptability, particularly when considering techniques such as molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). This is where easy-to-grow binary alkaline-earth-metal oxides with a rock salt crystal structure are useful. These oxides, which include (Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba)O, can be used as a sacrificial layer covering a much broader range of lattice parameters compared to conventional sacrificial layers and are easily dissolvable in deionized water. In this study, we show the epitaxial growth of the single-crystalline perovskite SrTiO3 (STO) on sacrificial layers consisting of crystalline SrO, BaO, and Ba1-xCaxO films, employing a hybrid MBE method. Our results highlight the rapid (≤5 min) dissolution of the sacrificial layer when immersed in deionized water, facilitating the fabrication of millimeter-sized STO membranes. Using high-resolution X-ray diffraction, atomic-force microscopy, scanning transmission electron microscopy, impedance spectroscopy, and scattering-type near-field optical microscopy (SNOM), we demonstrate single-crystalline STO membranes with bulk-like intrinsic dielectric properties. The employment of alkaline earth metal oxides as sacrificial layers is likely to simplify membrane synthesis, particularly with MBE, thus expanding the research and application possibilities.

High‐frequency and intrinsic dielectric properties of β‐CaSiO3 and its application: the microstrip patch antenna

AbstractDesigning and fabricating antennas that exhibit low losses and are compact, lightweight, and highly radiation efficient are challenging in the wireless‐communication field. In this study, we simulated and fabricated microstrip patch antennas using β‐CaSiO3 low‐temperature co‐fired ceramic (LTCC) as dielectric resonator substrate. Compact ceramics that show good microwave dielectric properties (a relative dielectric constant [εr] of 6.57, high‐quality factor [Q × f] of 35 086 GHz [@14.85 GHz], and temperature coefficient of frequency [τf] of −33.56 ppm °C−1 for the optimal composition) were obtained when Li2O–CaO–B2O3–CuO glass was added to β‐CaSiO3 and sintered at 950°C. The high‐frequency properties of these composite ceramics reveal that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss are stable in the 38−58 and 70−90 GHz ranges, respectively. Furthermore, a circularly polarized antenna fabricated using a CaSiO3‐based ceramic shows a high radiation efficiency (92.04%) and gain (3.35 dBi) at a center frequency of 2.5 GHz. These β‐CaSiO3 composite ceramics offer promising prospects for high‐frequency use as well as in mobile communication applications. This study provides insight for the development of innovative antennas with new LTCC materials.

Effect of the Structure of Epoxy Monomers and Curing Agents: Toward Making Intrinsically Highly Thermally Conductive and Low-Dielectric Epoxy Resins.

The low intrinsic thermal conduction and high dielectric properties of epoxy resins have significantly limited their applications in electrical and electronic devices with high integration, high frequency, high power, and miniaturization. Herein, a liquid crystalline epoxy (LCE) monomer with a biphenyl mesogenic unit was first synthesized through an efficient one-step reaction. Subsequently, bisphenol AF (BPAF) containing low-polarizable -CF3 groups and 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane (DDM) were applied to cure the LCE and commercial diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A-type epoxy (E-51), respectively, to afford four kinds of epoxy resins with various intrinsic thermal conductivity and dielectricity values. Owing to the dual effect of microscopically stacking of mesogens and the contribution of fluorine to the formation of liquid crystallinity, ordered microstructures of the nematic liquid crystal phase were formed within the cross-linking network of LCE as confirmed by polarized optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Consequently, phonon scattering was suppressed, and the intrinsic thermal conductivity was improved considerably to 0.38 W/(m·K), nearly twice as high as that of E-51 cured with DDM (0.20 W/(m·K)). Additionally, the ordered microstructure and ultralow polar -CF3 groups within LCE cured with BPAF enabled the epoxy resin to exhibit a remarkably lower and stable dielectric constant (ε) and dielectric loss tangent (tan δ) over both low and high frequencies compared to E-51 cured with DDM. The ε decreased from 3.40 to 2.72 while the tan δ decreased from 0.044 to 0.038 at 10 GHz. This work presents a scalable and facile strategy for breaking the bottleneck of making epoxy resins simultaneously with high inherent thermal conduction and low dielectric performance.

Crystal structure, chemical bonding and infrared reflectivity of microwave dielectric SrIn2O4 ceramics

In this work, the orthorhombic structured SrIn2O4 ceramics with a space group Pnam were synthesized by a solid-state reaction method. A high relative density (96.5%) coupled with excellent microwave dielectric properties (εr ~ 12.3, Q × f = 96,900 GHz, τf ~ -61.6 ppm/°C) were obtained as sintered 1300 °C for 4 h. The bond valence analysis demonstrates that the large sized cation Sr2+ exhibits a compressed state, while the In3+ exhibits a weaken rattling effect. The P-V-L chemical bond theory analysis indicates that the In-O bonds play a key role in affecting the dielectric loss. The thermally conductivity activation energy Edc (0.94 eV) of SrIn2O4 was obtained by the dielectric spectroscopy, indicating that the Edc was contributed to the double ionized oxygen vacancies. Furthermore, the intrinsic dielectric properties (εr ~ 11.2, Q × f = 148,900 GHz) of SrIn2O4 were obtained by infrared reflectivity spectroscopy.

Magnetic and intrinsic dielectric properties of multiferroic GdFe1-xNixO3 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2) perovskites

Rare-earth transition-metal oxides with a perovskite crystal structure are at the forefront of the quest for new multifunctional materials, focusing on rare-earth orthoferrites ReFeO3. GdFeO3 is a multiferroic material that exhibits antiferromagnetic behavior, weak ferromagnetism, and ferroelectricity. The multiferroism of GdFeO3 can be tailored by substituting Fe with Ni. Recently, it was reported that the polycrystalline GdFe1-xNixO3 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2) samples are materials with high dielectric constant at radio frequencies and room temperature, showing an increase in dielectric constant by introducing Ni3+ ions at Fe sites and reaching values in the order of ε'∼103 to 104, enabling their application as capacitors and miniaturized microwave resonators. In this paper, we examined the impact of Ni-substitution on the magnetic and intrinsic dielectric properties of GdFeO3 perovskite by analyzing the active-polar phonons through infrared reflectance spectroscopy and showed that its high dielectric constant has an extrinsic origin.

Microwave dielectric properties, chemical bonds and infrared reflection spectra of La2Sn2O7 ceramics with pyrochlore structures

The La2Sn2O7 ceramic was synthesized using the solid−phase reaction method. The crystal structure, sintering characteristics, and microwave dielectric properties of the La2Sn2O7 ceramics were studied. XRD analysis shows that La2Sn2O7 ceramics possess a pyrochlore structure with a space group of Fd3¯m. As the sintering temperature increases, the εr and relative density show the same trend of change. The Q×f of ceramics has a strong correlation with the packing fraction. The P−V−L theory shows that La−O and Sn−O bonds have certain effects on the εr and Q×f. The intrinsic dielectric properties of ceramics were analyzed using infrared reflection spectra. At 1350 °C, La2Sn2O7 ceramic obtained the largest relative density and optimum microwave dielectric properties (εr = 15.65, Q×f = 73,804 GHz and τf = −18.58 ppm/°C).

In situ anchoring of Fe3O4/CNTs hybrids on basalt fiber for efficient electromagnetic wave absorption

The development of practical and efficient electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbing materials is a challenging research problem. A mussel-inspired molecular structure regulation strategy using polydopamine to increase the roughness and functional groups of basalt fiber (BF) surface, which can improve the fiber interfacial adhesion. Herein, a novel BF-Fe3O4/CNTs heterostructure is synthesized through a dip-coating adsorption process. The three-dimensional network structure of Fe3O4/CNTs hybrid in situ anchored on the surface of BF, which endows the composite to have good intrinsic magnetic and dielectric properties. Modulation of EMW absorption performance by controlling the addition of CNTs, the minimum RL of BF-Fe3O4/7C reaches to −40.57 dB at a thickness of 1.5 mm with CNTs addition of 7%. The enhanced EMW absorption performance of BF-Fe3O4/7C heterostructure may be attributed to the synergistic effects of interfacial polarization between the hollow magnetic Fe3O4 spheres and CNTs, conduction loss, magnetic resonance loss and multiple reflection/scattering inside the BF. This work provides a simple pathway to design EMW absorbing materials with good environmental stability.

Crystal structures, lattice vibrational characteristics, and dielectric response of Mg3(VO4)2 microwave dielectric ceramics sintered at different temperatures

Mg3(VO4)2 (MVO) microwave dielectric ceramics were fabricated by a conventional solid-state sintering method at different sintering temperatures (Ts) between 1000 °C and 1100 °C. The effects of Ts on the phase evolution, the crystal structures, the dielectric responses, and the lattice vibrational characteristics of MVO were investigated. XRD patterns after Rietveld refinement were applied to analyze the phase evolution and the crystal structures of the samples, which shows the orthorhombic structure with the space group of Cmca for the MVO ceramics. Micrograph from scanning electron microscopy shows a uniform and dense crystal structure with the highest bulk density for the MVO sample sintered at 1050 °C. Raman scattering spectroscopy and infrared reflectance spectroscopy were used to dissect the lattice vibrational characteristics of the MVO ceramics. There are two types of vibrational modes of the MVO samples, i.e., the external modes caused by the deformation of [VO4]3- and the rotational and translational vibrations of the lattices, the internal modes attributed to the asymmetric stretching vibrations of V-O bonds. The intrinsic dielectric properties were determined by fitting the data with a four-parameter semi-quantum (FPSQ) model. Modes 1, 2, and 4, associated with the external modes, have the greatest contribution coefficient of 65.58% to the dielectric constant, and Mode 1 has the greatest contribution coefficient of 51.40% to the dielectric loss. The structure-property relationships were semi-quantitatively mathematically established according to the Raman modes. The MVO sample sintered at 1050 °C has the best dielectric properties of εr = 9.59 and Q × f = 41,193 GHz (f = 13.69 GHz).
