Academic Mobility as a Strategic Vector of Quality Training of Future Specialists in the Era of Globalisation and Development of Educational Innovations

The article reveals the essence and analyses the conceptual foundations of academic mobility through the prism of its impact on the quality of educational services in modern universities. The close connection between academic mobility, globalisation processes and the rapid development of educational innovations aimed at integrating national higher education systems into a unified European educational area and the global knowledge society is emphasised. It stresses that academic mobility is one of the most important features of the modern education system and an effective tool for improving the quality of human capital. Based on analysis of academic literature and legal documents, the essence of the terms «mobility» and «academic mobility» is presented and the types and forms of academic mobility are defined. It is noted that one of the indicators of successful development of the global market of educational services is international academic mobility, participation in which contributes not only to improving the quality and competitiveness of the national higher education system in the global market of educational services, but also to improving mutual understanding between peoples and cultures, optimising educational intercultural communication, creating conditions for professional and personal self-realisation, formation of highly qualified specialists capable of acting effectively in a dynamic world. The article describes international academic exchange programmes aimed at supporting research and innovation in the field of education and science.

The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Applications (ICAITA) is an annual conference focusing on the research areas of and related to artificial intelligence technologies and applications. It aims to establish a broad and interdisciplinary platform for experts, researchers, and students worldwide to present, exchange, and discuss the latest advance and development in related disciplines and domains. This volume contains the papers collected from 2024 6th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Applications (ICAITA 2024), held during June 14th to 16th, 2024 in Changchun, China. With this vision in mind, the 2024 3rd International Conference on Smart Energy and Energy Internet of Things (SEEIoT 2024) was successfully convened from June 21st to 23rd, 2024, in Chengdu, China. The PGES 2024 took place virtually in Kunming, China from June 21st to 23rd, 2024. Welcome to the Proceedings of the 2024 3rd International Conference on the Energy Internet and Energy Interactive Technology (EIEIT 2024) held via virtual form in Xi’an, China during May 10th to 12th, 2024! EIEIT 2024 builds upon the success of its two previous editions, underscoring the growing importance of energy internet as a cornerstone technology supporting modern power systems. However, despite its promising potential, the development of energy internet in China remains in its nascent stages, necessitating a concerted effort from academia, industry, and government to propel its progress. The conference was organized to provide a comprehensive forum where participants could present their latest research findings, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for collaboration. The conference attracted about 80 scholars and researchers from all over the world, covering representatives from academia, industry, research institutes, and government organizations. They have a wide range of professional backgrounds related to energy and power engineering. Such a composition of participants not only facilitated interdisciplinary exchanges and cooperation, but also injected a wealth of academic ideas and perspectives into the conference. 지식 그래프를 활용한 중국 무용치료 연구동향 분석

Dance therapy, as a therapeutic method that integrates psychology and creative arts, which has attracted increasing attention from all walks of life. In order to help scholars from all over the world grasp the development context and trends of dance therapy research in China, this research analyzes the relevant literature on dance therapy in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) database, revealing the research trends of dance therapy theme in the past 30 years, which can give data support for related research and provide theoretical basis for scholars around all over the world, and promote international academic exchanges and cooperation. Through the knowledge graph analysis method, the high-frequency words and high centrality words of 402 literature were explored and analyzed, and the knowledge network graph of dance therapy was presented from five aspects. It was found that, the research of dance therapy topics has gradually evolved in three stages in the past 30 years in China. On the whole, early research mainly focused on the role of dance in rehabilitation treatment, and mainly focused on the treatment of elderly. In recent years, with the focus on dance therapy and in-depth practice, emerging research topics involve the treatment of ‘depression’, ‘anxiety’, ‘stroke’, etc., which more pay attention to students, autistic children, and other groups. It shows that, with the increasing in research and attention on the field of dance therapy in China, the research not only focuses on dance therapy, but also involves many related fields, such as psychotherapy and self-acceptance in different groups, which shows that keeps expanding the research's progress and application of dance therapy in China. However, it also reflects the problems of incomplete operation system and insufficient academic-industrial linkage in Chinese dance therapy. This study is expected to provide implications for the direction of development of Chinese dance therapy to scholars around the world, including Korea.

Social Inclusion in schoolchildren with disabilities from Physical Culture as a tool

The results presented in this research are the result of the international academic exchange from the projects “Adapted and inclusive physical activity for the quality of life of vulnerable populations, and the project ‘Physical education and sport as a tool for social inclusion’. Its objective was to propose physical-social actions for the social inclusion of schoolchildren with disabilities. Theoretical and empirical methods are applied to collect and process the research. The evaluations offered by the specialists are highlighted, which give relevance to the proposal of actions and augur security in its future implementation in the institution. It is concluded that the actions offered to these subjects have an integral character, since the intervention is conceived from the cultural, social, recreational and physical work, and include the orientation to the family.

Abstract The 2023 4th International Conference on Material Chemistry and Composite Materials (MCCM 2023) took place during December 22nd to 24th, 2023 in Sanya, China. MCCM exists as an annual international academic conference which tries to meet the needs for various kinds of material chemistry and composite materials. Bearing the principle of “bringing together global wisdom in scientific innovation to promote high-quality development”, MCCM 2023 encouraged the exchange of information on research frontiers in different fields related to material chemistry and composite materials, connected the most advanced academic resources at home and abroad, and turned research results into industrial solutions. It also promoted the development of related disciplines, expanded the international scientific and academic exchange channels, enhanced scientific innovation on a global scale, and contributed to academic cooperation between China and the international community. The Conference was attended by about 100 participants and hosted 6 keynote speeches, many oral and poster presentations, as well as Questions & Answer part. The topics of the 4th MCCM cover various research fields where material chemistry and composite materials are applied, such as Surface Chemistry, New Energy Materials, Nanotechnology and Materials, Physical and Structural Properties of Materials, Multiferroic Materials and Composites, etc. According to all the attendees, the scientific program was excellent with high level of presentations and the scientific environment was fruitful, thus all of them had a great and creative time. In the keynote speech part, Professor Liguang Wang (Zhejiang University, China) shared his research on Understanding the Degradation Mechanisms in High-Energy Density Cathodes via Synchrotron X-Ray Techniques. To advance the development of the next generation of high-energy-density cathode materials, his research endeavors have systematically unraveled the intricacies of performance degradation mechanisms inherent in layered structure cathodes. This exploration leveraged a sophisticated combination of advanced synchrotron X-ray-based characterization techniques across multiple scales. His investigation has been transformative, shedding light on the intrinsic correlation between stress-strain dynamics and mechanical degradation within layered cathode materials. With rounds of dramatic researches sharing and ideas exchanging, the Conference was made filled with academic atmosphere. We would like to thank Beihang University, China for its support. Features of building communication with international students using modern online media

This article explores the influence of online media on the process of adaptation of foreign students in educational institutions. The study was carried out in relation to the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and some other universities of the Russian Federation that actively use international educational and academic exchange. The authors analyze the main barriers students face when transitioning to a new learning environment, such as cultural, linguistic and academic differences. The authors of the article discuss the role of online media in overcoming these barriers, emphasizing their importance in the process of exchanging information, developing communication skills in a foreign language, and creating trusting relationships. The contribution of online media to the integration of different cultures and traditions is considered, which contributes to the formation of cultural understanding, tolerance and respect for the diversity of worldviews in the educational environment. An analysis is made of how students use online resources to obtain additional information, develop relevant skills and deepen their knowledge, as well as an analysis of existing research on the topic of adaptation of foreign students and the role of online media in education. In addition, the article covers the following subtopics. Features of collecting data on the experience of foreign students and their use of online media. Conducting interviews with foreign students, teachers, and university administrations to obtain high-quality information about adaptation problems and the role of perception of Internet resources and their impact on the adaptation process. The novelty of this study lies in the following characteristics of the work performed. Focuses were made on a specific university or region. The specifics of different groups of students were taken into account. The analysis was carried out taking into account how online media is used by students from different countries, with different language levels, different specialties, etc. The influence of specific types of online media was studied: for example, social networks, educational platforms, chatbots, specialized applications for international students. The analysis of the influence of online media was explicit on various aspects of adaptation through such sections as academic performance, psychological well-being, social integration, cultural adaptation and others. The project ends with a presentation of recommendations developed by the authors of the article on the use of online media to increase the effectiveness of adaptation of foreign students in other countries or universities around the world.

Abstract To promote academic exchanges and cooperation on a global scale and explore the latest research results and development trends in three major engineering fields of machinery, electrical and materials, the 2024 7th International Conference on Mechanical, Electrical and Material Application (MEMA 2024) came into being in Changsha, China from February 23rd to 25th, 2024 (virtual event). The conference aimed to provide a high-level and international academic exchange platform for global experts, scholars and engineers to jointly promote the development of related fields. The conference was hosted by Shenyang Ligong University. In addition, Fuzhou University, South China University of Technology, Hunan University, Hangzhou Dianzi University, Dalian University of Technology and many other universities and institutions also gave strong support to the conference. This fully demonstrates the wide influence and high recognition of this conference. In terms of the conference agenda, this conference mainly focused on the three major engineering fields of machinery, electrical and materials and set up a number of special forums, involving Mechanical Dynamics, Mechatronics, High Voltage Insulation Technology, Power Systems and Their Automation, Electronic Materials, and other frontier fields. The paper discusses the issues of training foreign students of humanities in reading and listening to journalistic texts in Russian. The aim of the study is to identify ways to update the materials of available textbooks on Russian as a foreign language, taking into account various factors. These include methodological factors (purpose and content of training; level of proficiency in Russian; requirements of normative documents; organizational forms of training; students’ training program; national composition of the study group), linguistic factors (genre, style, content value of the text; characteristics of text materials from the standpoint of textuality categories and communicative categories), extralinguistic factors (socio-political situation in the world; ideological attitudes). Special attention is paid to the description of the bank of standard texts of the main thematic groups. The work proposes tasks to control the level of formation of language and speech competencies within the framework of the academic discipline “Russian language in professional international activity” (level B2) at different stages of training. The scientific novelty of the study lies in developing criteria for the selection of journalistic texts for Russian language classes for foreigners studying in various educational programs (basic or additional). As a result of the research, the features of the use of media texts in the process of teaching students of a faculty of international relations are highlighted in comparison with the ways of presenting these texts within the framework of the course for students of international academic exchange programs.

Study on the Application of Bilingual Teaching Mode in Geography Courses in Normal Universities

Urban geography is an interdisciplinary subject involving urban planning, urban economics, social geography and so on. It is imperative to set up bilingual courses to understand the frontier trends and improve the international academic exchange ability of college students. This paper quantitatively analyzes the cognition of college students' bilingual curriculum construction through questionnaires. The results show that: (1) the students' sense of identity in the bilingual course of urban geography is generally positively related to their future professional ability improvement, English learning interest and career planning. (2) The effect of bilingual teaching quality of urban geography is mainly weakly positively correlated with the teaching method, the proportion of oral English and the proportion of English courseware. The effect of teaching method on teaching effect is obviously higher than that of other aspects. (3) The results of students' choice of the key factors of teaching quality are ranked as follows: teaching methods and means > students' current level > teachers' English ability, but the choice of teaching methods generally tends to be dominated by teachers' teaching and supplemented by students' participation. Therefore, the construction of bilingual courses is carried out from two aspects: for students, pay attention to the cultivation of students' interest in English learning, and strengthen the guidance of students' future professional ability improvement and career planning, as far as teachers are concerned, paying attention to improving their English level and professional quality, the initial teacher of bilingual classroom is undoubtedly the key.

Using Shadowing Technique to Improve 7th_ Grade Students’ English Pronunciation. A Methodology

Correct English pronunciation is essential when communicating for international academic exchange, business, education, etc. In foreign language teaching, one of the elements of the oral skill that should be taught in lessons is pronunciation. In Ecuador, though, there is always a call to improve the students’ acquisition of their oral communicative competence, the students at different levels of education show deficiencies in pronunciation. Different reasons limit its development like lack of teachers’ motivation, preparation, time to teach it, effective teaching materials, media, and, techniques to be employed. One technique that can be used by teachers to enhance pronunciation is the shadowing technique. In this article, the results of the research developed by the author are presented and explained. This study was carried out to corroborate the feasibility of the application of a methodology for the improvement of 7th_ grade students’ English pronunciation at Flavio Alfaro # 52 Junior High School in Flavio Alfaro Canton, through the triangulation of the quantitative and qualitative results of an experiment in a class of 25 students, and questionnaire. This methodology containing four stages took into account the student’s previous knowledge and learning styles and its results showed that after the post-test, 72% of the students increased their grades. These results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed methodology that uses the shadowing technique in the English lessons to favor the development of the 7th_grade English pronunciation.

A study on the blended teaching practice model for EAP in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

With the talents collaborative development in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) provides support for the cultivation of internationalized talents and international academic exchanges and cooperation, while the in-depth integration of education and information technology also promotes resource integration in various regions and besides, accelerates the integrated development of higher education in the greater Bay Area. Based on the semantic wave theory, the paper discusses the integration of online and offline teaching of EAP from the perspective of cumulative learning. The paper points out that the online and offline teaching should work together to promote the semantic wave, namely, the cycle transition of the semantic gravity and semantic density in order to ensure the cumulative construction of knowledge, hoping to bring enlightenment to the integrated development of higher education in the Greater Bay Area.

Self-regulated learning strategies adopted by successful Chinese nursing students in the process of learning Nursing English.

As the number of foreign patients and the frequency of international academic exchanges increase, English proficiency has become increasingly essential for Chinese nurses in the treatment and nursing processes, clinical academic exchanges, and ongoing education. However, the overall English proficiency of Chinese nurses is generally inadequate, greatly depending on the English that they acquire during their nursing education. This study aims to explore the challenges encountered by Chinese EFL (English as a Foreign Language) nursing students in the process of learning Nursing English, along with the effective self-regulated learning strategies they adopt to overcome these challenges. Data were collected from nine Chinese EFL nursing students through their reflective journals and thematic analysis was applied. Data analysis revealed the variety of challenges EFL nursing students encountered, including language-related challenges, which are linguistic difficulties that relate to Nursing English learning itself, such as Nursing English vocabulary and terminology, English-to-English translation, limited listening comprehension, and the gap between textbook knowledge and its practical application; learner-related challenges, which are difficulties that affect students' emotional, affective, and mental state, primarily caused by uncertainty about the significance of Nursing English, the unexpected difficulty of Nursing English, and failing quizzes; and context-related challenges, which are difficulties relate to social, cultural, and educational context, such as insufficient learning resources, a lack of language environment, and peer pressure. To surmount these challenges, the participants adopted diverse self-regulated learning strategies, including setting goals, previewing in advance and reviewing in time, utilizing word roots, prefixes, and suffixes to facilitate vocabulary learning, repeating, practicing with sounds and writing systems, translating, highlighting and using imagery to overcome language-related challenges; believing in the usefulness and significance of Nursing English, keeping a growth mindset, enjoying Nursing English learning and teacher support and maintaining grit in learning Nursing English to overcome learner-related challenges; and integrating resources, creating supportive language environments and seeking assistance from teachers and cooperating with peers to overcome context-related challenges. Based on these findings, implications are drawn for Nursing English teachers, material designers, curriculum developers, and program designers. We suggest incorporating explicit strategy instruction into regular Nursing English education to enhance nursing students' self-regulated learning.

The KAGEDU : Its History, Structure, and Domestic and International Academic Exchange Activities

This paper first examines the history and development of the Korean Association of General Education (hereafter KAGEDU, 2006), which represents the Korean liberal/general education community, in the context of its close relationship with the Korean Council for University General Education (hereafter KCUGE, 2001) and the Korea National Institute for General Education (hereafter KONIGE, 2011). It then examines in detail the number and characteristics of the KAGEDU's members as well as its constituent organizations, operating principles, and the interrelationships among them. Next, this paper finds that the KAGEDU’s <i>The Korean Journal of General Education</i> (hereafter KJrGE, 2007), a first-class academic journal recognized by the NRF (National Research Foundation) of Korea, is a unique national academic journal in Korea that encompasses all aspects of liberal/general education. It is an outstanding leader in terms of publication frequency, number of published articles, and influence index, dominating its field. As a result, the Journal serves as the best public platform for liberal/general education in Korea. This paper also deals with the main features of the KAGEDU's domestic academic activities (Spring and Fall National Conferences, LACs, Seminar 21, Publication of ‘Collected Works of Liberal Education Classics,’ and Selection of Excellent Books) and its activities for international academic exchange (holding international forums and conferences, Blue Waves Lectures, and Libeducols). In particular, it explains that the KAGEDU initiated the establishment of the Asian Liberal Education Network (ALEN) and the holding of the first Asian Liberal Education Conference (ALEC) in late 2023. According to this paper, the two academic events symbolize a very significant outcome of the joint Asian international academic exchange efforts that the KAGEDU, as the hub for liberal education in East Asia, has been leading since 2018. Finally, this article examines the challenges facing the KAGEDU in terms of the ambivalent effects of its relationship with the KCUGE and the KONIGE, its financial independence, modernization of its administration, its under-researched areas, and its need to nurture the next younger generation of scholars. Then, it proposes measures to promote international academic exchange including the establishment of a common Asian liberal education university/college.

Science Diplomacy in the Implementation by States of the Concept of “Soft Power”

The article considers the forms of development of the concept of public diplomacy, which has become both an effective mechanism for promoting the national interests of states and can be considered as a criterion for stratifying countries by the level of development. It is determined that the high intellectual intensity of scientific and diplomatic activities is the common characteristic that led to their combination at a certain historical stage in the form of science diplomacy as a form of combining the activities of the state and management of national intellectual capital, and which is classified as a leading mechanism for the transmission of soft power by states. The authors demonstrate the relationship between the level of economic development, the volume of expenditures and the effectiveness of efforts to implement the instruments of science diplomacy, the theoretical discourse on which is developing in three key functional dimensions (science in diplomacy, diplomacy for science, and science for diplomacy). It is outlined that the institutionalisation of science diplomacy opens up the possibility of targeted activities to manage the science diplomacy of its actors, as well as to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of this activity. The article summarises the dominant formats of science diplomacy with a focus on the peculiarities of international academic and scientific exchanges, government programmes, international academic mobility, and emergent science and education diplomacy (in the global online education market, world-class universities, international teams of collaborators). The newest institutional forms of competitive interaction between the subjects of science diplomacy are identified, which include platforms for professional cooperation of scientific attaches of different states, scientific, diplomatic and diaspora networks, as well as the institute of technological ambassadors. It is proposed to consider the dominant and newest formats of science diplomacy, as well as joint research infrastructure and practices of hybrid combination of mechanisms and instruments of science diplomacy by states as components of the development of a global model of the international economic order. The authors suggest that developing countries should focus on using the potential of non-institutionalised science diplomats to promote their national interests. It is concluded that the economic potential of science and its international nature are actively manifested in the use of various institutional forms of international academic entrepreneurship and competitive interaction, which are developed and most actively sought to be used by those countries that invest most in research. The article identifies such research subjects as climate diplomacy, food diplomacy and other types of public diplomacy as promising, the development of which is associated with the intensification of research efforts to solve global problems.

A Comparative Study on the Professional Development of Teachers in China and British Universities

As global education reform continues to advance and the knowledge economy is booming, building a learning society has become an irresistible trend of social development. In this context, improving the professional development and literacy of college teachers will inevitably become a critical link and a significant force to promote the sustainable development of higher education, and it is an essential topic of higher education research in all countries in the world. This paper uses the approach of comparative research to study the historical evolution, connotation, and organization of teachers' professional development in Chinese and British universities. It found that the professional development of teachers in Chinese and British universities is macroscopically aimed at promoting the high-quality development of education and serving students and society. On the micro level, China pays attention to the integrity of the development of teachers in colleges and builds an education and training system from top to bottom, while in the UK, the government, professional organizations, and universities establish professional development institutions for teachers, which are independent and cooperative with each other; the financial support for teachers’ professional development in the UK is flexible and diverse, while in China, the government allocates funds directly; the UK actively carries out international academic exchanges and cooperation for teachers' professional development, formulating rules and sharing experiences, while China pays more attention to domestic exchanges and cooperation for teachers' professional development, with less participation in international contacts.
