DEVELOPMENT OF HYPERLINK-BASED AUDIO VISUAL MEDIA FOR SIX-GRADE SCIENCE LEARNING

The ability of teachers as educators in creating a conducive and effective learning atmosphere as well as fun which is the main goal in the learning process. The use of learning media through hyperlink-based audio visual in the learning process is the main choice in generating interest and motivation of students in learning activities. Audio visual media is a multimedia device that integrates various types of media such as the sound of an animated text, video image inserted into the created program. The use of this media is an interactive instructional media which will help the effectiveness of the learning process in delivering the content of the lesson. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness and interest in the use of learning media through hyperlink- based audio visual which was held at SDN Basanah Tanah Merah subdistrict for 20 sixth-grade students learning the science subjects about the solar system in the form of Microsoft power point. This research was a research and development following the model suggested by Dick and Carey. This method was used to generate the product and can be used in education as reference of learning. The results of research indicate that the instructional media through hyperlink- based audio visual used in the activities learning has a high level of effectiveness and interest in students in the learning process activities, especially on science subjects seen from the motivation of students in asking and answering.

EMPLOYING WEBSITE IN JAPANESE LEARNING AS AN INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA FOR PEDAGOGICAL PURPOSE

Industrial revolution 4.0 in the development of instructional media for Japanese language learning is one of the demands of the era that cannot be avoided anymore. Devices that cannot be released from the students' hands make it seems like it's the only source to search for information or answer in the learning process. Learning Japanese is not only through textbooks, but students are able to develop the teaching materials in the form of narratives of tourism and cultural destinations in the city of Bandung using Japanese. Those narratives about the information of destinations are packaged into a website that can be accessed anytime and anywhere, as an interactive instructional media that can increase motivation and interest about the city of Bandung in Japanese. The development of this website is not only for Japanese learners, but also useful as a source of information for Japanese people who will visit the city of Bandung. The latest information about the city of Bandung using Japanese consists of historical sites, tourist attractions, museums, and culinary. Japanese learners can access them at any time and can be used as a medium for discussion, and learners can explain it again about the city of Bandung to their friends. This innovation of learning media is a solution in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 to improve Japanese language skills both orally and in writing.

Utilization of Interactive Instructional Media in the Delivery of Distance Education in South-East, Nigeria.

The purpose of the study was to determine the learners perception on the extent to which interactive instructional media are actually utilized in the delivery of distance Education programmes. The study was carried out in the south East Nigeria. A survey Research Design was adopted for the study. Aresearch question and two hypotheses guided the study. 47,084 students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and National Teachers Institute (NTI) Distance Education programmes in Abia and Enugu State study centres constituted the population for the study. With a stratified random sampling technique, a sample size of 393 distance learners from the NOUN and NTI centres were sampled and studied. A researcher designed questionnaire was used for data collection. The Instrument was validated by three experts; two in curriculum and instruction and one in measurement and Evaluation. The reliability co-efficient of the instrument was 0.76 obtained through Cronbach Alpha Method. The research questions was tested using mean with standard deviation while the hypotheses were tested using t-test statistics. The data analysis revealed under-utilization of the studied interactive instructional media. There was no significant difference between the mean ratings of the Abia and Enugu study centre students responses, but there was a significant difference between the mean ratings of the Noun and NTI students responses. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others, that awareness, knowledge and skills acquisition training programmes and utilization of interactive instructional media should be severally organized to enable distance learning facilitators exploit the immense benefits and opportunities being offered by the current advancement in information and communication Technology.

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF PADA MATA PELAJARAN GEOGRAFI

This research is aimed to : (1) develop a good interactive Instructional media, easy to be learnt, and can be used for individual learning, (2) examine the effectiveness of theinteractive instructional media in Geography. This study is developmental research uses Borg & Gall’s model combined with Dick & Carey’s. The development of this instructional product is systematically proceeded in six steps; research and information collecting, planning, developing preliminary product, validating, trying out, revising, and producing final product. The subjects of preliminary field testing are two experts in Geography, two experts in instructional design,two experts in media product, three students for one-to-one try out, nine students for small group try out, and fifty one students for large group try out. The instruments employed in this study is a questionnaire and analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The findings of the study conclude that the quality of the developed instructional is excellent. The final product ofthis interactive instructional media is continued with effectiveness test. The study takes place in SMA Sutomo 1 Medan to the students of X class, academic year 2011-2012. The method used in this study is quasi experiment. The samples are 96 students consisting 50 students as experiment class given interactive Instructional media while the others given text book as control class. The result of hypothesis test proof that the study results of the students taught show a significant difference between using interactive instructional media and the text book. (Fcount = 5.19 > Ftable = 1.95). The effectiveness of the interactive instructional media is 82.55%higher than the text book 71.84%.

PENGARUH MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN DAN KECERDASAN GANDA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DAN KOMPUTER (TIK) MAHASISWA PGSD UNIVERSITAS NEGERI MEDAN

Abstract: The Effect Of Instructional Media And Multiple Intelligences On Student’s Learning Achievement On Information And Comunication Technology (ICT) Of Primary Teacher Education, State University Of Medan. The objectives of this quasi – experimental research were to discover: 1) whether the students learning achievement of Primary Teacher Education (PTE) in ICT taught by using CD interactive multimedia interactive instructional media was higher than learning achievement of PTE taught by using module instructional media, 2) whether the students learning achievement of PTE in ICT with spasial visual multiple intelligences was higher than student’s with verbal linguistic multiple intelligences, and 3) the interaction between instructional media and multiple intelligences in affecting the student’s learning achievement in ICT. The population of the study was 180 students of PTE who took the ICT from 6 classes namely 2 regular classes, 3 extension classes from the city government Academic year 2010/2011.Based on cluster random sampling technique 4 clasess taken from 2 reguler classes and 2 extention classes. The A regular class and A extension class using CD interactive multimedia instructional media and module was used in B regular class and B extention class. The research findings showed that : (1) the students’ learning achievement in ICT taught by using CD interactive multimedia instructional media was higher than the students’ taught by using module instructional media with Fcount = 11.65 > Ftables = 4.00 at the level of significance α = 0.05; (2) the students’ learning achievement in ICT with multiple intelligences spatial visual was higher than students’learning achievement with multiple intelligences verbal linguistic with Fcount = 11.65 > Ftables = 4.00 at the level of significance α = 0.05, and (3) there was an interaction between instructional media and multiple intelligences on students’ learning achievement in ICT where Fcount = 8,85 > Ftable = 4.00 at the level of significance α = 0.05. The conclusion of research is that application of the instructional media in the instructional process can improve the student’s learning achievement especially for PTE. Therefore, the implication is lecturers should be trained in order they can apply a more variative instructional process. So, it is the suggested that the lecturers should able use a variety of media for the success of the instructional process.
