Healthcare leaders’ experiences of implementing artificial intelligence for medical history-taking and triage in Swedish primary care: an interview study

BackgroundArtificial intelligence (AI) holds significant promise for enhancing the efficiency and safety of medical history-taking and triage within primary care. However, there remains a dearth of knowledge concerning the practical implementation of AI systems for these purposes, particularly in the context of healthcare leadership. This study explores the experiences of healthcare leaders regarding the barriers to implementing an AI application for automating medical history-taking and triage in Swedish primary care, as well as the actions they took to overcome these barriers. Furthermore, the study seeks to provide insights that can inform the development of AI implementation strategies for healthcare.MethodsWe adopted an inductive qualitative approach, conducting semi-structured interviews with 13 healthcare leaders representing seven primary care units across three regions in Sweden. The collected data were subsequently analysed utilizing thematic analysis. Our study adhered to the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research to ensure transparent and comprehensive reporting.ResultsThe study identified implementation barriers encountered by healthcare leaders across three domains: (1) healthcare professionals, (2) organization, and (3) technology. The first domain involved professional scepticism and resistance, the second involved adapting traditional units for digital care, and the third inadequacies in AI application functionality and system integration. To navigate around these barriers, the leaders took steps to (1) address inexperience and fear and reduce professional scepticism, (2) align implementation with digital maturity and guide patients towards digital care, and (3) refine and improve the AI application and adapt to the current state of AI application development.ConclusionThe study provides valuable empirical insights into the implementation of AI for automating medical history-taking and triage in primary care as experienced by healthcare leaders. It identifies the barriers to this implementation and how healthcare leaders aligned their actions to overcome them. While progress was evident in overcoming professional-related and organizational-related barriers, unresolved technical complexities highlight the importance of AI implementation strategies that consider how leaders handle AI implementation in situ based on practical wisdom and tacit understanding. This underscores the necessity of a holistic approach for the successful implementation of AI in healthcare.

Research on experiment for operation performance of water pumping and energy storage by photovoltaic pump

In this article, the behaviors of both flow and generated output of photovoltaic pump, the characteristics of both water pumping efficiency and output frequency, and the feature of charge capacity in accumulators have been tested through experiments, based on the integrated application system for water pumping, energy storage and illumination by photovoltaic pump, and in combination with composition and operation performance of photovoltaic water pumping system. According to the experimental results and under a constant delivery head, the photovoltaic pump and accumulator energy storage system with a total measured power of 1.8375 kWp in a photovoltaic array produces a daily water output of 13.1 m3 and an average water output of 1.93 m3/h; the maximum water pumping efficiency of the system is 12.7% and the average water pumping efficiency is 11.1%; meanwhile, the energy storage capacity of accumulators by charging in three time periods throughout a day is 1.01 kWh, which accounts for about 9.72% of the photovoltaic array's all-day generated energy, namely 10.3 kWh. Those conclusions have certain practical implications for the optimal configuration of photovoltaic water pumping system.

Tunable and switchable multifunctional terahertz meta-mirror based on graphene and vanadium dioxide.

We design a multifunctional THz polarization modulation meta-mirror integrated with polarization conversion and dichroism functions switched by temperature and voltage. The meta-mirror is composed of two-layered graphene metasurfaces and a layer of vanadium dioxide (VO2) on a gold film substrate. Linear-to-linear polarization conversion and linear dichroism (LD) can be switched by temperature control in the VO2 film and Fermi level adjustments in the graphene metasurfaces, where the polarization conversion ratio (PCR) is higher than 0.9 in the range of 2.89 THz to 4.02 THz, LD value reached a maximum of 0.6 at 3.84 THz, and linear-to-circular polarization conversion and circular dichroism (CD) can also be tuned with ellipticity higher than 0.9 in the range of 2.32 THz to 2.69 THz and CD value as high as 0.71 at 2.45 THz. The proposed meta-mirror is the first THz metamaterial device integrating four switchable functions, including linear-to-linear polarization conversion, linear-to-circular polarization conversion, linear dichroism and circular dichroism. The meta-mirror is a promising design for compact system integration in THz imaging, sensing and biological detection applications.

Pengembangan Aplikasi Monitoring Penyakit Hipertensi dan Diabetes Mellitus Terintegrasi

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a health development priority at this time. The increase in the prevalence of PTM over the last few years. Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are PTM that have increased cases. Changes in behavior and lifestyle are risk factors for hypertension and diabetes mellitus. The recording and reporting of officers related to PTM still experience difficulties in routine monitoring of treatment and patient visits. There is currently no integrated information system between Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus to monitor patient compliance for treatment. The purpose of the study was to develop an integrated application system for monitoring hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the city of Semarang. The type of research conducted is rapid and development (RAD), with a qualitative approach. The research stage: is the identification of information system development needs, is database design and application interface, and implementation of android application model development on a small scale (three prolanis officers). The subjects of this study were three prolanis officers and five patients with primary hypertension and diabetes mellitus aged 46 to 55 years. Results: system development by analyzing user data needs of officers and patients include patient identity, patient examination results, follow-up on examination results, patient referrals, education on healthy menus and ways to prevent hypertension and diabetes mellitus, the reminders to take medication, and results of routine examinations. Database design and application interface described through DFD and ERD. Implementation and function tests carried out on fully developed applications.

Perancangan dan Pembuatan Aplikasi Retensi dan Pemusnahan Berkas Rekam Medis Di Rsud Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin

One of the hospitals that have carried out retention and destruction activities is Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin. The retention and destruction of medical records are still done manually. This research’s purpose by design and create a retention and extermination application of medical records file. This type of research uses qualitative research with the development of the waterfall model system. Data collection includes interviews, observation, FGD, and documentation. The results of the study are functional and non-functional system requirements for making retention and destruction applications, based on the results of the FGD to the medical record filling staff and the head of the medical record unit. The results of the requirements that have been obtained are interpreted in the design of systems and software made through flowchart systems, context diagrams, data flow diagrams (DFD), and entity-relationship diagrams (ERD). The implementation process and unit test use the MySQL database and the PHP programming language and the interface design uses the Codeigniter Framework. The application system integration test uses the functional test of the Black Box Test method with a 100% system trial success rate. . The results of this functional test indicate that the retention and destruction applications can be integrated and function properly with innovations in the form of an annual import database feature, a feature for retention and destruction reports, and storage of scanned files in pdf format. The existence of this application can help the implementation of retention and destruction of medical record files at Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin has become more effective and efficient in terms of time, use value, and data security.

Analisis Penerapan Good Governance, Standar Akuntansi Pemerintahan, dan Sistem Akuntansi Instansi Terhadap Kualitas Laporan Keuangan

The aims of this research is to find empirical evidence of the influence of good governance, accounting standards of government and agency accounting systems on the quality of the financial statements at the General Election Commission (KPU) in NTB. The unit of analysis used in this study is the entity, so that the population in this study is the whole members/staffs who are directly involved in the preparation of financial statements as many as 100 respondents. Processing data using Partial Least Square (PLS) with the analysis of second order construct. The results showed that the quality of financial reporting is affected by the application of accounting standards and accounting system of government agencies, but is not affected by the application of good governance. The implications of this research that the quality of financial statements prepared in accordance with accounting standards and government agencies use the accounting system through the integrated application system. These quality of financial statements present the financial information is relevant, reliable, comparable and understandable making it useful as a basis for decision making, and can be used as a reference for the work units in the area KPU NTB to achieve WTP opinion of BPK.

Design and Build Distance Learning Media Based on the Business Simulator-Integrated (SIMBIZ-Integrated) Application to Support the Learning Process of Students Affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has a very broad impact. This pandemic not only affects health, but also education. This is because measures to prevent the spread of the virus require the application of physical distancing. With the application of physical distancing, conventional learning in the classroom cannot be implemented, so distance learning media is needed to continue the teaching and learning process. Learning media in an educational context is a very strategic instrument that helps determine the success of the teaching and learning process. This is because with their limitations, humans are often less able to capture and respond to things that are abstract or that have never been recorded in their memory. Media can support learning by providing a deeper understanding of the material being discussed. This study aimed to design, build and test a business simulator application integration system (SIMBIZ-Integrated) as a distance-learning medium that could help the learning process which has been disrupted due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, this research examines the current conditions of media utilization in distance learning and the effectiveness of the use of business application media in introductory business courses.

Research on Integrated Application System of Internet of Things in Oil Depot

To improve the efficiency of oil support, it is necessary to realize the integrated application of the equipment and systems related to the Internet of Things in oil depots. Based on the service-oriented design idea, this paper puts forward the architecture of the integrated application system of the oil depot Internet of Things, which lays a foundation for the integrated application of the oil depot Internet of Things data and related business systems through the design of business system component, data model standardization and system interface service. At the same time, through the data integration framework and process design of the Internet of Things, the data model design of the Internet of Things integration platform, and the system integration design based on service bus, it provides a key technical way for the development and implementation of the integrated application system of the Internet of Things in oil depots.

INTEGRATION OF URBAN SPATIAL DATA MANAGEMENT AND VISUALIZATION WITH ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS USING OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE

Abstract. In recent years, efficient management of urban spatial data has played a major role in improving urban planning projects both in terms of cost and time savings. Since urban planning projects involve various disciplines like city planning and architecture as well as working with different spatial data, one of the main challenges is how to integrate and manage these multimodal data for a proper workflow. Currently, the involved companies are using project management and accounting systems, so called Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to handle these complex urban projects - that partly handle the same data objects as stored in urban spatial databases but without any spatial reference. Embedded in the application example of an urban redevelopment area, which according to the German Urban Development Promotion Act aims at financially promoting urban districts in need of renewal, project-related spatial and non-spatial data that were previously kept separate are linked and integrated. Therefore, our work presented here bridges the gap between these two types of application systems, the non-spatial accounting system called Finanz Management System (FMS) and the urban spatial databases. FMS manages information related to parcels, buildings, property owners, as well as the legally required payments connected to urban development, while an urban spatial database manages the geodata. We describe the prerequisites, procedures, and software development steps for coupling different types of applications by providing an example of the Enterprise Application Integration System (EAI). Our innovative integration process aims at making information from the spatial database available in FMS and vice versa, and allows updating the corresponding databases. Our work shows the potential of open-source software for cadastral data processing and visualization as well as accounting procedures for urban planning projects.

Research on digital urban architecture design based on cloud computing data center

Abstract With the acceleration of China’s urbanization process, the scale of cities continues to expand, and urban management issues are becoming increasingly prominent. This research takes the application of digital urban management integration as an example, designs the digital urban management subsystem, combines the design of the system framework, data layer, and integrated public platform layer, and analyzes the data function process of the digital urban management subsystem. Digital cities, as proven by practice, can effectively solve many problems of urban management. The continuous breakthrough of cloud computing has laid a solid foundation for the development of digital cities. The purpose of this article is to study the construction of digital cities based on cloud computing data centers. This article outlines the basic concepts of digital cities, studies related technologies of cloud computing, and introduces related technologies of data transfer in digital cities. Based on the background of digital city construction, a digital city system framework based on cloud computing data center is proposed. Based on the system framework, a digital urban management integrated application system is designed. The test proves that the integrated system can meet the performance requirements of daily business processing. In this paper, the average transaction response time is less than 5 s and the application server utilization is less than 80% as evaluation indicators. By testing the performance of the system, the average response time is 0.436 s and the average CPU utilization is 58.25%

Smart City Development Innovation Strategy and Challenges for the Government of Jember Regency

Technological development has helped the local governments to provide information and services to the community, one of which is Smart City, a comprehensive and integrated application system which can be accessed quickly by the public and improves the duties and functions of local governments. Smart City has been implemented in various cities in the world and has proven to be able to solve various problems quickly. This information system should be able to be used by local governments to create effectiveness and efficiency in performance by analyzing organizational data for further policies. This paper aims to obtain an overview of the concept of smart city strategy and its implementation in Jember Regency. This research used literature review methodology through the concept of a model of implementing GSCM in smart government by paying attention to the artificial intelligence aspects. The conclusion of this paper is that the smart city development strategy is pursued by adjusting the potential and conditions in Jember Regency, which is of course, by analyzing some of the challenges and readiness for innovation through the GSCM concept.

Managing Artificial Intelligence on Public Transportation (Case Study Jakarta City, Indonesia)

This research aims to study AI management and its implementation in the public transportation sector to accommodate the needs of Jakarta’s citizens. The basic framework used in this research is on analysis of case study transportation in Jakarta. Using a qualitative method with data collection from literature review and observation. Data analysis focuses on challenges and requirements needed to implement AI on public transportation to enhance urban mobility. Along with key AI management aspects discussed on 1) Source funding for AI in Mass Public Transport Project; 2) Reform Traditional Procurement Process; 3) Develop Unbiased AI; 4) Avoid the trap of over-relying on AI; 5) Develop Legal and Policy Framework. The purpose of this research is that it can contribute as a reference and recommendation for local government in making policy on AI and transportation in the future. Based on the research analysis, it is concluded that AI can address transportation problems in traffic management, traffic safety, public transportation, and urban mobility. However, AI implementation in Jakarta needs more improvement to ensure the system is integrated among many types of public transports, and improve its user-friendliness. It is recommended to develop a one-gate integrated application system to access all information on public transportation and to develop a legal and policy framework related to the applications.

Demonstration of friction-based triboelectric nanogenerator and integration in a power-balanced fully autonomous system

The deployment of IoTs and mobile objects heavily relies on batteries as power sources for integration to new applications. Alternatively, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) can be seen as a promising technology by harvesting mechanical energy for powering small-scale electronics. The integration of TENGs into practical applications within a limited power requirement, is still unexplored considering its attractive properties. In this work, a state of the art multilayer integrated TENG structure with high output power density is devised compatible with practical applications to promote the technological maturity of TENGs. The proposed system consists of a sliding based TENG power source integrated to drive an e-ink™ display screen application controlled by an efficient power management unit. Through simultaneous investigation of the triboelectric power source and the application system integration focusing on power balance, an optimized self-sufficient system has been demonstrated by using a well-designed hand powered sliding motion test platform, respectively. The integrated system reaches a maximum output power density of 750 mW m −2 , adequate to drive the target application. The realization of an efficient and low cost integration with reliable power output performance showcases TENG as an attractive potential for the next generation of autonomous electronic and wireless devices. • A state-of-the-art multilayer integrated sliding based TENG structure with a high output powerdensity of 750 mW.m -2 compatible with practical applications to promote thetechnological maturity of TENGs. • Investigation on the physical phenomenon of current transfer between the electrodes has alsobeen carried out along with comprehensive analytical model. • Through simultaneous investigation of the triboelectric power source and the application systemintegration focusing on power balance, the overall system reaches a 5.2 V DC output with 7-8 human hand sliding motions, adequate to drive an electronic paper display screen.

Pengembangan Rencana Induk Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik Provinsi Bali

Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan data dari masing-masing OPD Provinsi Bali terkait penerapan E-Government (SPBE), menentukan kondisi penerapan E-Goverment (SPBE) di Provinsi Bali dan menentukan langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan indeks tingkat kematangan SPBE Provinsi Bali.
 Metode penelitian: Metode penilaian evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengukuran tingkat kematangan berdasarkan e-Government Maturity Model (eMM).
 Temuan: Kajian ini mengungkap bahwa kelemahan utama dalam implementasi SPBE Provinsi Bali, terutama di beberapa OPD yang memberikan layanan publik, adalah belum terintegrasinya aplikasi atau sistem dan masih lemahnya SDM dan infrastruktur IT di masing-masing OPD.
 Implikasi: Langkah yang perlu dilakukan adalah menyusun Rencana Induk Pengembangan SPBE yang memiliki kelengkapan pada sisi muatan visi dan misi SPBE, arsitektur SPBE, peta jalan SPBE serta integrasi sistem aplikasi dan penggunaan aplikasi umum secara menyeluruh.

Application of Multi-Sensor Based Image Modeling in Ocean Remote Sensing

Based on this, this paper first studies the data modeling of multi-sensor remote sensing image, analyzes the design of the application integration system of marine aviation remote sensing based on multi-sensor, and the automatic extraction and matching of remote sensing image, and finally studies the integration and management of marine remote sensing image based on multi-sensor.

Design of a Near Field Communication-Enabled Points Collection Application System

Nowadays, users collect points by stickers after they purchase products. However, to issue stickers and to exchange points are inconvenient to store staffs and users. In addition, the traditional way for points collection increases the business cost because of additional cards and stickers. In this paper, we propose a novel, practical and integrated application system to resolve above issues namely NFC-enabled Point Collection Application System (NPCAS). NPCAS mainly consists of three subsystems including user-side APP, store-side APP and backend management system. The user-side APP let users to quickly complete points management, for instance, they can accumulate points by communicating with the store-side APP through Near Field Communication (NFC) technique. The store-side APP calculates the points of each transaction and updates them to the backend management system. Then, the users can inquire their current points, exchange details, exchangeable commodities and so on. Android operating system is the mainstream on smart phones so that the Android-based APPs attract a lot of attention. Accordingly, we develop both APPs based on Java, XML, Android Software Development Kit (SDK) and Android Studio. The backend management system is built by Apache server, PHP module, PHP files and MySQL database. The format that we used on information exchange between backend management system and both APPs is JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). In a word, NPCAS greatly simplifies the procedures of points collection and management.

IRBA: An Identity-Based Cross-Domain Authentication Scheme for the Internet of Things

The incredible development of Internet of things technology promotes the integration of application systems, which enable people to enjoy the convenience of multiple application services through a single intelligent device or terminal. In order to implement value exchange and information sharing between different applications, cross-domain access is inevitable. In order to prevent illegal access, identity authentication is necessary before the terminal accesses the service. Because of the need to introduce a trusted third party, the traditional centralized authentication model not only destroys the autonomy and flexibility of the application system, but also causes issues such as single point of failure and hidden dangers of unilateral control. This paper proposes an identity-based cross-domain authentication scheme for the Internet of Things. This scheme uses the Blockchain as a decentralized trust anchor instead of the traditional certificate of authority, and uses the identity-based self-authentication algorithm to replace the traditional PKI authentication algorithm. The scheme proposed in this paper implements a decentralized authentication model, which can guarantee the autonomy and initiative of the security domain.

Integration of LAPAN’s remote sensing ground station control and monitoring system application

The National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) - Remote Sensing has developed different website-based application systems. The application system is used to control and monitor several series of ground station processes ranging from acquisition, recording, processing, storage, to cataloguing data and remote sensing satellite products. At present these applications are still working separately which are built from various platforms both operating systems, programming, databases, infrastructure and architecture. Therefore, an application system integration solution is needed in order to facilitate and speed up ground station operators to control and monitor the processes that take place and obtain useful and valid information for decision making. The design of this system integration application is done by preparing materials and defining layouts, coding Hypertext Pre-processor (PHP), testing designs, granting domains, and providing hosting. The User Interface (UI) uses a bootstrap framework to display responsive results for each screen size.

NDPlot - A plotting tool for nuclear data

NDPlot is an efficient plotting tool for nuclear data. It is not only a plotting tool, but also an integrated application system. The first beta version of NDPlot was released in October 2018. The current version is 0.94 beta. NDPlot can plot experimental and evaluated data of reaction cross sections, angular distributions of secondary particles, energy distributions of secondary particles and product energy-angle distributions etc. It also provides data processing functions such as curve summation capability to meet user’s requirements.

Photonic generation of programmable coherent linear frequency modulated signal and its application in X-band radar system.

A photonic generation scheme of a programmable coherent linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. By heterodyne beating an agile optical frequency comb (OFC) with a fixed OFC, LFM signals in different bands can be obtained. The two OFCs are generated independently from two arms of a single dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator (DDMZM) and are then propagated through the same optical path, thus naturally ensuring the coherence of the LFM pulses at the minimum cost. The generation of the agile OFC only requires a sweeping intermediate frequency (IF) signal with the far lower center frequency and smaller bandwidth than the generated LFM signal. And by precisely controlling this IF signal, parameters of the LFM signal can be flexibly adjusted such as the center frequency, bandwidth, time duty, and sweeping pattern. In addition, envelope-tailorable LFM pulsed signals are further realized by pre-distorting the IF signal, supporting future multifunctional radar applications. We then establish a complete X-band radar system. The pulse-to-pulse phase coherent integration of the generated LFM signal enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of echo signals by ∼24 dB. A 5.8 cm range resolution is finally achieved, which is comparable to more complex photonic radar systems. This compact DDMZM based scheme not only improves the radar performance by realizing coherence pulses but also provides full control of these pulses, evidently benefiting the system integration and multifunctionality in future advanced radar applications.
