Zusammenfassung Netzwerke sind ein geeignetes Strukturmuster, um akteursübergreifende Destinationsprodukte zu entwickeln. Die Ausprägungen der Netzwerke beeinflussen dabei den Produktentwicklungsprozess und den Grad der Innovation. Die Besonderheiten wie die große Anzahl von Akteuren, die Tendenz zur Eindimensionalität, zum Zusammenschluss sich ähnlicher Akteure oder die Konzentration auf Marketingaktivitäten verlangen nach bewusster Auseinandersetzung. Mit der Einrichtung einer professionellen Netzwerkführung kann Vielfalt und die Einführung innovativer Produktentwicklungsprozesse in Tourismusdestinationen gezielt gefördert werden.

Marketing Strategy Formulation for Innovative Product Development Process

The scientific literature widely considers the new product development (NPD) process. Innovation process influencing NPD process brings for the product an exceptional value which stimulates market demand of these products. However to create a successful new product is not easy. Scholars of management, politicians and economists acknowledge the advantages of new products and market power, but the development of these products is a problematic and long-term process that requires considerable time and financial costs, which often does not receive the return. Scholars state that problems are related to marketing. Based on these research results, the article concentrates on the marketing strategy formulation for a NPD process. The aim of this study is to gather, research and generalize recent scientific literature in order to provide conclusions, related to the marketing strategy formulation for the NPD. Implementing the aim of this study, most of the chaos was caused by fact that NPD process, innovation process and the research commercialization process are interrelated, and problem-solving has particular features in common. In order to clarify the relationship between these processes, a comparison of these processes and definitions was carried out. In analysis of NPD process, the limits of research were set - the process was analysed from the initial product design phase and was completed with the product introduction to the market.

Innovative Process Management: A Strategic Weapon to Succeed in a Dynamic and Hyper Competitive Environment

Various models have been developed to manage the innovative product development process. However, most of them are complex and add more cost in managing new product development process. In this study, we present a simple and cost effective model of innovative product development process management. The specialty of this model is that it logically demonstrates how integration of encouraging leader and innovative mind in new product development process (NPD) can make it efficient and cost effective. It also shows how leadership can fully concentrate on the first phase of NPD and how crossfunctional and innovative teams can be merged in a single team to develop a workable product.

An Innovative Product Development Process Using Processing Point Analysis

This paper presents an Innovative Product Development Process (IPDP) for a product whose function is to convert the condition of a certain object from an input state into a specified output one. This product innovation approach consists of two steps; the first step is the problem setting stage through the newly developed processing point analysis, and the second one is the problem solving stage through the restructured 40 principles of innovation. The processing point analysis first captures the gap between the ideal and the reality of the output condition of the object. Then, it traces each cause of the gap along the causal relationships back to an action which should be given to the processing point of the object from the product, and finally formulates it into a technical problem of the deficiency, excessiveness or harmfulness of the action. Further, the 40 principles of innovation are rearranged from three viewpoints (preventive means against harmful factors, directions of technical evolution, and options of design changes) so that each technical problem identified by the processing point analysis can be dealt with properly. The proposed approach is described using a rice cooker as an illustrative example, and it is shown that some innovative conceptual design solutions are successfully derived through the standardized product innovation approach.

An Innovative Product Development Process Combining Processing Point Analysis and Extended Su-Field Analysis

This paper presents an Innovative Product Development Process (IPDP) for a product whose function is to convert the condition of a certain object from an input state into a specified output one. This product innovation approach consists of two steps; the first step is the problem setting stage through the processing point analysis, and the second one is the problem solving stage through the extended Su-Field analysis. It is difficult for the original Su-Field models to deal properly with technical problems identified by the processing point analysis. So, the original Su-Field models and standard solutions in TRIZ are modified, refined and rearranged into the extended Su-Field analysis. The extended Su-Field analysis draws an innovative solution logically, systematically, and methodically to a technical problem obtained by the processing point analysis. The proposed approach is described using an iron as an illustrative example, and it is shown that some innovative conceptual design solutions are successfully derived through the standardized product innovation approach.

Innovative Design Process and Information Technology for Electromechanical Product Development

The business segment of Japanese companies such as Toshiba changed drastically for the last several years. This means that companies should change their culture and need new product development process applying information technologies. This paper presents examples of design technologies that realize the innovative product development process in Toshiba focused on an electromechanical product development.

Innovative product development process by integrating QFD and TRIZ

QFD (Quality Function Deployment) has been used to reflect the needs of customers in products, while TRIZ (a Russian acronym for Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) was developed to assist engineers in finding innovative solutions to technical problems in product development processes. However, no method has been proposed to integrate QFD with TRIZ effectively. This report describes a new method, named the Innovative Product Development Process (IPDP), which systematically integrates QFD with TRIZ and enables the effective and systematic creation of technical innovation for new products. In IPDP, the target products' functions and mechanisms are deployed in parallel into hierarchical structures, and the mechanism that most requires technical innovation is specified from an analysis of customers' needs by calculating a mechanism weight. Then, the technical problems to be solved are defined by considering the relationship between the specified mechanism and corresponding functions or quality characteristics, and technical innovation is executed by applying TRIZ. The effectiveness of IPDP was confirmed by applying it to the technical innovation of a washing machine.
