Analisis Kinerja Pelayanan Teknologi Informasi Menggunakan Framework Cobit 4.1 Pada Manajemen Pelayanan di PT.XYZ

This study aims to analyze the performance of Information Technology services in Service Management at PT. XYZ using the COBIT 4.1 Framework. Information Technology has a crucial role in supporting the company's business operations and strategies, therefore it is important to ensure that the performance of IT services meets the established standards. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and document analysis. This research will evaluate key aspects of IT services, such as risk management, internal control, and performance measurement, using the COBIT 4.1 framework. The results of this study show that PT XYZ's IT service performance has been successful in some areas, but there is still room for improvement. One of the key findings is that risk management needs to be improved to effectively identify and manage potential risks that could disrupt IT operations. In addition, internal controls should be strengthened to ensure the security and reliability of information systems. The recommendations provided in this study include the implementation of specific measures to improve IT service performance. First, the company should develop a clearer and more detailed risk management policy, including procedures to mitigate identified risks. Second, internal controls should be strengthened through stricter control mechanisms and regular monitoring of system security. In addition, steps are needed to improve IT performance measurement, including the use of measurable and more systematic measures to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of IT services. The findings and recommendations of this research are expected to provide a deeper understanding of IT. PT. XYZ's service performance and practical improvements are needed to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and security of IT management. The implications of this research can assist companies in making strategic decisions regarding the right IT infrastructure investment and development to improve competitiveness and achieve long-term business goals.

Knowledge and Access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) services among Research Faculties of CCS HAU, Hisar

The study was carried to determine the knowledge and access of ICTs services among the research faculties of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. All the colleges of university were selected. Data were collected personally from 120 research faculties selected by simple random sampling technique through a structured questionnaire and analyzed with the help of appropriate statistical tools by using 26 version (SPSS). The findings revealed that majority of the respondents were male having age between 37-47 years with PhD with NET having service experience of 6-10 years belonged to nuclear type of family and had medium family educational status. Knowledge and access regarding MS office and online ICT applications was medium to high among majority of the respondents. Moreover, knowledge and access regarding internet were medium to low while knowledge and access regarding scientific portal/website/tools was found low among respondents.

Estimation of industry-level basic digital capital services in China: A variable depreciation rate estimation method based on DSGE

Accurately measuring the input of digital capital is of great significance for understanding the development pattern of China's digital economy, nurturing new quality productivity, and achieving high-quality development. However, existing representative studies often assume a constant depreciation rate for capital goods, which does not align with reality. In this paper, we address this limitation by introducing dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model that estimates the variable depreciation rate for each capital good. By setting the depreciation rate as a function of capital maintenance expenditures and utilization rates, we provide a more realistic approach. The empirical results obtained through Monte Carlo simulation demonstrate that the trend of depreciation rates for all types of capital goods aligns with China's economic development. Additionally, we find that investment-specific technology shock plays a significant role in affecting changes in the depreciation rates of capital goods. This shock leads to an increase in capital utilization rates and a decrease in capital maintenance expenditures, resulting in higher depreciation rates. Notably, the depreciation rate of basic digital capital is more sensitive to exogenous shock compared to non-digital capital. Furthermore, the paper estimates the basic digital capital service of 19 industries in China from 1981 to 2020. The results indicate a steady increase in the services provided by basic digital capital, with particularly rapid growth observed in industries such as information transmission, software and information technology services, and the financial sector. When comparing our estimation results with those of representative literature, we find that the national-level productive capital stock and the basic digital capital services estimated using our methodology closely align with existing literature. This validation confirms the effectiveness of our methodology and the reliability of the estimated industry-level basic digital capital services.

The emergence of Corona-virus 19 (COVID-19) requires the Indonesian government to impose social distancing provisions in the form of laws and regulations so that the Indonesian government can reduce the percentage and rate of spread of COVID-19 in the country. As a result of the social distancing policy, people depend on information technology to support their activities. In using information technology services, technology service providers require technology service users to fill in personal data information and upload personal identity documents. Technology service providers ask for approval from users that the information and documents that have been provided will only be used for the benefit of technology services, will not be used for other things without the consent of technology service users. With regard to the protection of personal data, the Indonesian government issues regulations regarding the protection of personal data. However, recently there has been a leak of people's personal data that is misused by unauthorized parties. This is contrary to one of the obligations of the Indonesian government which must ensure the protection of people's personal data.

EFFECTIVENESS OF AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION SERVICES IN REDUCING POVERTY AMONG FISH FARMERS IN THE COASTAL REGION OF ONDO STATE, NIGERIA

Agricultural development is the foundation for economic growth and provides a primary means of food security, employment generation, and poverty reduction for Nigerians. These are also the very reasons motivating successive incumbent governments of Nigeria to initiate one type of agricultural intervention program or another to generate employment, attain food security, and aid in poverty reduction. The study assesses the effectiveness of agricultural extension services in reducing poverty among fish farmers in the coastal region of Ondo State, Nigeria. A well-structured interview schedule was used to collect data from the respondents and simple random sampling technique was used in selecting 80 respondents. Data collected was analyzed using frequency counts and percentage while Chi-square and Pearson product moment correlation was used for testing the hypotheses. Results of the socioeconomic characteristics show that more than half (58.7%) of the respondents were adults, male (68.7%), married (78.8%), literate (92.5%), having household size of <7 members (92.5%), earned an annual income of <#1,000,000 (73.7%), and having fish farming experience of <5 years (41.2%). Further analysis shows that catfish is mostly farmed by the respondents in the study area (72.5%), belong to one social group or the other (52.5%), and have access to agricultural extension agents (100%). Similarly, the study findings shows that all the respondents (100%) have access to all the different types of services rendered and the different types of agricultural extension services were rendered to the fish farmers which include technology transfer (93%), information and support services (90%), food safety and quality (89%), marketing and distribution (75%), sustainable fisheries (88%), credit and finance (96%), safety measures (100%), training to fish farmers (97%), input supply (88%), and technical expertise (92%). Furthermore, the types of agricultural extension services utilized by the fish farmers include information and support services (100%), food safety and quality (100%), credit and finance (100%), safety measures (100%), input supply (85%), and technical expertise (100%). Types of constraints militating effective utilization of agricultural extension service rendered identified by the fish farmers include weak linkages of research and training centers with extension workers and users (82%), lack of properly qualified/trained extension personal (100%), inadequate number of grass root workers (98%), lack of clear extension strategies (85%), emphasis on welfare than development (88%), much emphasis on technology than its transfer to end users (75%), inadequate infrastructure facilities (80%), and of the respondents and lack of incentives for field staff (100%). There was positive and significant relationships between respondents’ age (r=0.532; p≤0.05), number of years spent schooling (r=0.589; p≤0.05), household size (r=0.117; p≤0.05), annual income (r=0.515; p≤0.05), fish farming experience, (r=0.146; p≤0.05), and effectiveness of agricultural extension services in reducing poverty. The study recommended that more qualified/trained extension personnel should be employed and adequate incentives should be made available to the field staff.

Implementation Planning Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Iso 20000-Based in Guarantee Companies

The helpdesk work unit was formed as a basic implementation of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) implementation in the Company. In order to be able to measure the implementation of ITSM in the company, standardization of service management is needed, where currently, the standard used as a reference and is widely used is ISO 20000. ISO 20000 is a reference or best practice used in the implementation of business process management, which is expected to be able to respond to globalization developments where the ultimate goal to be achieved is to improve the quality and service in the Company. Currently, the constraints and problems faced by the Guarantee Company when ITSM has not been implemented include poor IT management, reduced levels of trust from stakeholders, weak control functions so that many risks occur and service level agreements (SLA) become unclear or do not have indicators in providing services.

Location choice of foreign direct investment in technical KIBS in China: impact of human capital and intellectual property rights protection

PurposeThis study considers the “technology creation” characteristic of technical knowledge-intensive business services (T-KIBS) and examines how human capital and intellectual property rights (IPR) protection affect the location choice of foreign direct investment (FDI) in China for two types of T-KIBS: (1) information transmission, software and information technology (ICT) services and (2) scientific research and technology (SCI) services.Design/methodology/approachOur empirical analysis is based on panel data on 22 Chinese provinces from 2009 to 2017. We use the generalized method of moments estimation for the regression analysis.FindingsFDI in ICT services prefers regions with high human capital, while FDI in SCI services favors regions with good IPR protection.Research limitations/implicationsFuture research could use more comprehensive data and qualitative interviews to enhance the findings.Practical implicationsThese findings provide a foundation for China’s future policy on attracting FDI into T-KIBS, especially in areas related to human capital and IPR protection.Originality/valueThis study bridges the research gap on the FDI location choice of T-KIBS in China by clarifying the influences of human capital and IPR protection and providing theoretical support for the location choice of T-KIBS FDI.

How well do the companies responsible for facilitating the digital transition perform? An analysis on Romanian ICT sector

PurposeThis study proposes an analysis of the performance of companies that have assumed the responsibility of facilitating the digitalization of economic activities. Because of their potential to accelerate digitization, these companies have been financially supported. The monitoring of the performances recorded by these companies, including the evaluation of the impact of different determining factors, meets both the needs of the financiers (concerned with the evaluation of the efficiency of the use of nonreimbursable financing) and the needs of continuous improvement of the activities of the companies in the field.Design/methodology/approachThe study assesses performance dynamics and the impact of its determinants. The model allows achieving a simplified vision of performance and its determinants, supporting decision-makers in the management process. The construction of an estimation model based on the multiple regression method was considered. Robustness tests were performed on the results, using parametric and nonparametric tests.FindingsThe results of the analysis at the level of the extended sample indicated that, during the analyzed period, the economic and commercial performances decreased, and significant influences in this respect include the financing structure, sales dynamics and volume of receivables. The analysis at the level of the restricted sample confirmed these interdependencies and provided additional evidence of the impact of other determinants.Research limitations/implicationsThe study contributes both to performance research and to the assessment of the prospects for accelerating digitalization in support of economic activities. Since the empirical research was carried out on a sample of Romanian companies that provide services in information technology, which accessed nonreimbursable financing, the representativeness of the results is limited to this sector. For the analyzed sample, the study provides support for improving performance.Practical implicationsThe results of the study prove to be useful from a microeconomic and macroeconomic perspective as well, as they provide evidence on the performance of companies that have implemented information and communication technology (ICT) projects and on the efficiency of the use of non-reimbursable funding dedicated to business support.Originality/valueThe study fills the literature gap regarding the performance of companies that have developed ICT projects and received grant funding for the implementation of these projects. The literature review indicated that there are few studies conducted on these companies, which did not include Romanian companies.

Research and Innovation of a Community Intelligent Pension Service System: Taking Longhua District, Shenzhen, China, as an Example

With the aging of China's population, as a new model combining information technology and high-quality elderly care services, the topic of smart elderly care continues to warm up and has immediately attracted widespread attention. With the innovation of Internet technology, elderly people and families are in demand of the smart pension industry, and national policies have issued a series of policies and plans to encourage the development of smart pensions, allowing the innovation and design of China's smart elderly service system to fully expand. However, the research shows that from the perspective of the macro development of China's smart pension industry, the overall operation system is not mature, the talent gap is more accurate, there are fewer services, and it is still in the market development stage. This paper focuses on the Shenzhen Longhua District, which is a local part of the community wisdom endowment service industry chain investigation. The analysis of the current pension service system development is not mature enough, and it does not completely combine Internet technology and wisdom endowment. Additionally, because the economic strength and cultural level limit of wisdom endowment service acceptance are not high, the policy support for community wisdom endowment is not large enough. On this basis, this paper draws on the excellent successful experience at home and abroad. From the perspective of three aspects and put forward opinions for innovation, first, the innovation of community smart elderly care service technology, which combines Internet information technology and elderly care services organically, improves the quality of life and the happiness index of elderly people. Second, the innovation of community smart elderly care services, including the full use of medical institutions to provide 24-hour rehabilitation monitoring, remote monitoring services, and personalized and differentiated services, are tailored for elderly people. Third, the national policy innovation of community elderly care services, through policy guidance and support, promotes the healthy development of community elderly care services to provide better quality and convenient pension services for elderly people. The author believes that in the future, community elderly care services will be more professional and standardized, and a set of digital systems and service standards with scientific standards and rules will be established to ensure the quality of service and personalized demand.

Analysis of Benefit Considerations for Guarantee Company Upgrading to Tier 4 Colocation Data Center in Indonesia

This research is motivated by the need for the guarantee company to improve the management of the availability of information technology services to all company stakeholders in the guarantee company data centre migration project. The guarantee company is currently collaborating with data centre colocation service providers to support information technology infrastructure needs as a location for placing hyper-converged infrastructure servers. One of the objectives of this study is to provide recommendations to company management regarding improvements related to operational efficiency, increased scalability and capacity, reliability, increased availability, increased security factors, compliance with regulations, and the ability to increase data recovery in the event of a disaster by evaluating and maintained for enterprise data centre migration plans. This research focuses on how the benefits of data centre migration are currently at the highest level, which will be explained in this paper, where the author will provide a systematic and measurable visualisation regarding facts and relationships in carrying out the stages of activity, starting with data collection, analysis, and making suggestions in improving colocation data services in the area of the country of Indonesia.

Preliminary Criteria For Ict in Assisting Students With Psychological Problems

A rising quantity of research designates that adolescents’ and students’ psychological problems pose a risk to them and society. Research indicates that students frequently utilize Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to get informed about mental health, and to resolve their psychological problems. A critical and reflective analysis of the scientific literature, and a critical examination and reflective synthesis, theories, and practice on the use of ICTs and digital media for the treatment of psychological problems have been employed in this study. The study identifies gaps in research theory and practice regarding the use of ICTs and digital services for the prevention and treatment of mental health issues among adolescents and the student population. The article proposes ten preliminary criteria for ICT use in the treatment of psychological problems as a direction for further research.

ANALISIS SIMULASI PROTOKOL ROUTING DINAMIS OSPF UNTUK PENINGKATAN EFISIENSI JARINGAN HYBRID KAMPUS UNUD DENPASAR

UNUD GDLN building located in UNUD Sudirman campus acts as an information and communication technology service center as an internet access service provider, radio broadcast and online learning. The UNUD Campus network currently uses a static hybrid routing protocol, where the static routing protocol has the disadvantage that the network administrator must always reconfigure the network if there is a topology change. The Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) dynamic routing protocol can be used as a solution to overcome the weaknesses of static routing protocols because it is more suitable for larger networks and has the advantage of automatically determining the best route. This research aims to analyze the application of OSPF routing protocol in UNUD Denpasar Campus with GNS3 simulation. This research uses Quality of Service (QoS) parameters to analyze network performance, and test scenarios by PING with large data transmission that imitates YouTube video streaming. The results showed that OSPF dynamic routing protocol has better performance and has met the TIPHON standard with very good results for packet loss, throughput, and delay parameters and good results for jitter parameters. Tests on static routing protocol simulations and OSPF routing protocols are carried out by comparing the transmission process based on the resolution on YouTube video streaming imitation, starting with 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p resolutions. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that OSPF routing is more suitable and produces better parameter values when transmitting streaming video with a resolution of 480p, 720p and 1080p, while the transmission of streaming video with a resolution of 360p is more suitable for static routing which is more suitable for transmission with lower resolutions.

The impact of presidential economic approval rating on stock volatility: An industrial perspective

This paper examines the influence of presidential economic approval rating (PEAR) on stock volatility in different sectors. We find that PEAR significantly explain future stock volatility in Health Care, Consumer Staples, Information Technology and Telecom Services sectors both in- and out-of-sample. Interestingly, we find this explanatory power for all sectors exists only during the economic expansions. Finally, we show that the PEAR has long-term predictability on stock markets.

Customer attitude, buying behavior and satisfaction towards online shopping: An empirical study in some selected areas of Bangladesh

In the current digital era, online shopping has swiftly risen to prominence among Bangladeshis' preferred methods of making purchases. The current study was carried out to find out sub-urban customers' socio-economic profile, male and female attitudes, influencing factors, customer satisfaction, and problems with online shopping. For this study, 110 customers were selected using convenience sampling techniques at Muktagachha and Fulbaria Upazila in the Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. Along with descriptive statistics, principal component analysis (PCA) including factor analysis and Likert scales (5-point) were used to analyze the data. The study found that about 71% of the customers were aged 18 to 36 years; 100% of the customers were familiar with purchasing non-agricultural products; about 78% of the customers were interested in buying agricultural products in the near future; respondents used social media like Facebook (77%) for online shopping; and about 68% of the customers were willing to pay more for security, better quality of the products, and a reliable platform. Customer satisfaction shows that time-saving (4.17), variety of products (3.93), and cash on delivery (3.86) payment systems were considered satisfactory items for online shopping. Absent of touch and feel (3.47), less quality (3.31), and online payments (3.28) were the major problems of respondents while they bought products online. To increase customer awareness of information technology services and foster a favorable view of the e-commerce industry, all online retailers should enhance their convenient promotional tools and service strategies. This paper intended to identify the factors that influence consumers' decision-making when deciding whether or not to purchase a product.

ANALISIS PROBLEM MANAGEMENT PADA IT HELPDESK UIN RADEN FATAH DENGAN IMPLEMENTASI ITSM

Problem Management is a crucial aspect in the management of Information Technology (IT) services, aiming to identify and address the main causes of problems in an organization's IT infrastructure. This study analyzes the implementation of Problem Management in the IT Helpdesk at UIN Raden Fatah, with a focus on services from the PUSTIPD Unit. Case studies are used as the main research method, involving interviews, observation and analysis of related documents. The findings show that the implementation of Problem Management has brought significant benefits, although there is still room for improvement, especially in interunit coordination and end-user engagement. This study provides insight into the importance of Problem Management in improving the performance of IT services in higher education institutions.

Examining Work Practices in the ICT Sector: Reinforcing Frameworks for Intellectual Property, Ethics and Privacy By IJISRT

The safety of people's data is crucial given the rise in the use of digital gadgets. The paper examines a business case study that mostly provides information and communication technology services to Australian enterprises. By examining Australian laws and norms pertaining to intellectual property, ethics, and privacy in the ICT sector, the analysis aims to find any gaps in the work practices. Relevant questions are formulated to identify particular problems with current work practices in order to facilitate the study. This will enable the ICT industry to identify any weaknesses and help improve the laws and policies relating to privacy, ethics, and intellectual property.

Method for Calculating the Avoided Impact of Specific Information and Communication Technology Services

Particular Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services can help avoid environmental impact in larger contexts. However, there is no commonly agreed bottom-up methodology for calculation of the total net reduction effect of specific digital ICT services. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a common denominator for most methodologies. The most common method is the Attributional LCA (ALCA), and recently the emerging handprint ALCA estimating so-called positive environmental impacts. Moreover, Consequential LCA (CLCA) can be used to capture market effects. The third conceptual approach is Input-Output LCA. The purpose is to propose and test a new method based on some of the existing ones. The existing concepts are compared and a synthesis is made to create a practical but still useful method. The new method is applied to two illustrative cases in the ICT domain; the introduction of a 5G enabled drone for pipe inspection and the 5G enabled health consultation. Compared to simplified ALCA, the difference between the absolute scores for the baseline system and the target system changes around 10% when the proposed simplified CLCA (SCLCA) method is used. The results show that SCLCA, when combined with analytical methods for expressing digital ICT services’ own impact, is a fruitful approach which is both practical and feasible. The new method includes formulae for calculating the total lifetime environmental impact of a specific ICT Equipment when reused or replaced.

The Application of Cobit 5.0 Framework to Measure Capability of Information and Technology Governance and Management Processes

This study examines the measurement of Information Technology governance and management capability levels using Cobit 5.0. Researchers collected data through questionnaires and interviews. Data processing from questionnaires and interviews can reveal the company's current level. In the EDM domain, the company scored very high in the process that addresses information technology risk optimization. Regular evaluation of business processes is crucial to create alignment and deal with possible risks. To move up to level two, companies must identify and understand the impact of the risks that arise. Companies should enhance their information technology services and security within the domain, perform audits, and report current and future risks. In this domain, companies must identify service capacity, predict future needs, and be ready to face sudden changes. In the DSS domain, companies need to have information system analysis experts conduct training for their staff, identify availability and service problems, and test the ability of their systems to move up to level two.

Leveraging Large Language Models for Sensor Data Retrieval

The growing significance of sensor data in the development of information technology services finds obstacles due to disparate data presentations and non-adherence to FAIR principles. This paper introduces a novel approach for sensor data gathering and retrieval. The proposal leverages large language models to convert sensor data into FAIR-compliant formats and to provide word embedding representations of tabular data for subsequent exploration, enabling semantic comparison. The proposed system comprises two primary components. The first focuses on gathering data from sensors and converting it into a reusable structured format, while the second component aims to identify the most relevant sensor data to augment a given user-provided dataset. The evaluation of the proposed approach involved comparing the performance of various large language models in generating representative word embeddings for each table to retrieve related sensor data. The results show promising performance in terms of precision and MRR (0.90 and 0.94 for the best-performing model, respectively), indicating the system’s ability to retrieve pertinent sensor data that fulfil user requirements.
