Development of Basic Mathematics Modules Based on Professional Competencies

The low ability to understand mathematical concepts affects the learning outcomes of information systems study program students in basic mathematics courses. This is because basic mathematics courses tend to be disliked by the YPTK information systems study program students at Putra Indonesia University in Padang. After all, they consider basic mathematics courses do not significantly contribute to their field of expertise. Students prefer courses that suit their area of ​​expertise. Basic mathematics is an abstract subject and is a difficult subject. Students have difficulty applying mathematical concepts to solve problems. The learning module is a basic mathematics module based on professional competence. This basic mathematics module connects basic mathematics subject matter with subject matter in the field of expertise, namely information systems. This research aims to produce a basic mathematics module based on professional competence in the information systems study program at Putra Indonesia University YPTK Padang. This type of research is development research(R&D). The stages in developing this basic mathematics module are the development stages proposed by Plomp. This research carried out a preliminary research stage. Experts carry out product validation. Our instrument is a validation sheet with a Likert scale. The results of the expert validation analysis from aspects of presentation/dictates, suitability of content, language, and graphics obtained an average of 3.39 with a very valid category, which means that the basic mathematics module based on professional competence is suitable for use in basic subjects. Classification of Student Grade Data Using the K-Means Clustering Method

The fourth industrial revolution has brought significant changes in various sectors, and education has been greatly affected by technological advances. Automation, particularly in data processing, has simplified educational processes, particularly in managing student grade data. However, the increasing volume of data poses challenges in efficient processing. This research explores the application of K-Means clustering, a data mining technique, to cluster student grade data. This research uses the Elbow Method to determine the optimal number of clusters. The dataset, sourced from the Information Systems Study Program at the Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto, includes attributes such as Credits Taken, GPA, Number of Ds, Number of Es, and Credits Not Taken. The results identified three groups of students: "High Achievers," "Average Performance," and "Needs Improvement." Recommendations include academic challenges for high performers, better learning methods for average performers, and remedial programs for those who need improvement. This research demonstrates the efficacy of K-Means clustering in improving educational strategies and support systems based on student characteristics.

The al-furqon mosque, like other mosques, has a cash register for incoming and outgoing money. All financial reports have been prepared properly, but are still written on a blackboard on one of the walls inside the mosque. If the community wants to donate money, they must report and meet directly with the mosque management. In the same way, people should go to the mosque and look at the notes written on the inside walls if they want to know how the mosque's current finances are. because people still have direct physical contact. Aplikasi Absensi Mahasiswa Kerja Praktik Menggunakan QR Code Berbasis Android

Practical Work Activities carried out in the Information Systems Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology State Islamic University of North Sumatra still carry out the semi-manual attendance recording process. This process is done semi-manually using paper and then entered into Microsoft Excel. This makes the process of processing student attendance data considered less effective and efficient. This is due to the fact that it is difficult to send student attendance data to those who need it and that the data is only stored on a particular computer device. The purpose of this research is to create an android-based application that can be used by the Information Systems study program to process student attendance data and facilitate the distribution of attendance data. This research uses waterfall approach for system development. Includes the stages of Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction, and Deployment. On the other hand, the system testing method uses the black box testing method. This application is created with a codular framework and spreadsheet database, and can be accessed through android devices and accessed online. The result of this research is in the form of an application that can conduct student practical work attendance and provide report recaps to the study program. This application helps information system study program operators process student attendance data by adding data and facilitating the distribution of attendance data.

Data Mining Analysis to Predict Student Skills Using Naïve Bayes Method

<p class="Abstract">The possession of specific skills by students not only has a positive impact on the students themselves but also on the Study Program within a Faculty and the University as a whole. However, Study Programs sometimes face difficulties in determining the skills of numerous students even after they have completed 7 semesters of study. Therefore, a method to extract available data in order to determine student skills quickly and accurately is essential. This research aims to apply a data mining method to predict student skills in the Information Systems Study Program at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. The study focuses solely on predicting student skills in the fields of data processing and programming. The method employed in this data mining analysis is the Naïve Bayes method. Data will be collected from student course grades related to data processing and programming. The data will be processed using an application and subsequently tested using a Confusion Matrix. The research results indicate that predicting the determination of student skills in the Information Systems Study Program at UIN Imam Bonjol can be achieved using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, which yielded a Naïve Bayes model accuracy of 93%, precision of 81%, and recall of 81%. The obtained model can be implemented in the form of an application to determine decision-making strategies for students.</p>

Implementasi Data Mining Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Universitas Graha Karya Muara Bulian

The choice of prospective students on the registration form produces a unique pattern because each prospective student has a different choice according to background, aspirations and tuition fees while still referring to the 9 courses offered. Piles of forms with combinations of program study options will have no meaning for UGK MB if detailed mining and analysis is not carried out. In fact, doing useful data mining will gain knowledge and information that is useful for UGK MB and other decision makers to address the process of admitting new students in the following year. Difficulties in answering past data stacks, which are often also known as chunks of data of this kind, can be ported with data mining (Data Mining). The amount of data studied is 135 forms. The method used is Apriori Algorithm analysis. The results show that for 1-itemset, the highest frequency occurs in the Information Systems variable with a value of 58, 43% support and 100% confidence, while the lowest frequency occurs in Accounting with a value of 14, 10% support and 100% confidence. For the 2-item set, the association rules If the first choice is the PGSD study program then the second choice is the TIP study program with a frequency value of 16, 12% support and 53% confidence and this is the highest association rule. Meanwhile, the lowest association rule is the rule. If the first choice is the Agro Technology study program, then the second choice is the Information Systems study program with a frequency of 4, 3% support and 20% confidence.

ANALISIS KUALITAS LAYANAN WEBSITE PROGRAM STUDI SISTEM INFORMASI MENGGUNAKAN METODE WEBQUAL 4.0 DAN IMPORTANCE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS (IPA)

The growing development of information technology makes information technology a very important resource for government and private organizations. The same applies to the university environment in student services. Amikom Purwokerto University is one of the many tertiary institutions that has implemented a web-based academic information system, including in one of its study programs, namely Information Systems. Based on interviews conducted by researchers with one of the lecturers in the Information Systems Study Program at Amikom University, Purwokerto, several problems were identified, such as the lack of regular updating of data and information on the website, the appearance of the website which was less attractive, and the lack of available content. Then, so that the company can be ready to compete with other similar websites, it is necessary to analyze the quality of the website, one of which is using the WebQual 4.0 method which is then assessed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires with 3 WebQual 4.0 variables based on the level of performance and the level of user expectations for the 85 samples that have been determined by calculating the Slovin formula. The data obtained is then assessed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method which produces recommendations to companies for actions that need to be taken on the website in order to improve and maintain the quality of the website. The results of the GAP analysis obtained 9 variables with positive values and 13 variables with negative values. While the results of the IPA analysis obtained variables that have been grouped into 4 quadrants, with 1 variable being the main priority, namely UQ8.

Prediksi Jumlah Mahasiswa Baru Fti Usn Kolaka Menggunakan Metode Single Exponential Smoothing

The FTI student admission target every year is often not achieved. This happened because of the change in FTI's location, from USN Kolaka which was in Kolaka to USN Kolaka which was in Tanggetada. In addition, there are also other causes in terms of the large number of students who do not graduate on time, causing an unbalanced ratio of lecturers and students. This will reduce the assessment at the time of accreditation. Predictions are made to assist FTI in planning and making decisions to determine priorities for how many prospective students will be accepted each year. The observational data used are data on the number of new FTI students for the 2013-2021 academic year (9 periods) for the Information Systems study program and the 2018-2021 academic year (4 periods) for the Computer Science study program. Data processing is carried out using the Single Exponential Smoothing Method and MAPE (Mean Absolute Percent Error) accuracy testing. The results of testing this method are that for the information systems study program the predicted results obtained in the 2022/2023 academic year are 141 people, and the smallest value of MAPE = 26.67% which shows the ability of the forecasting model to be quite good (Reasonable). Meanwhile, for the computer science study program, the prediction results obtained in the 2022/2023 academic year were 116 people, and the smallest value of MAPE = 18.52%, which indicates a good forecasting model ability.

Utilizing the role of technology in assisting in carrying out business processes that are being managed by an institution or institution is the right decision in today's digital era. This thinking of course also applies to the Information Systems Study Program (SI) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Syarif Kasim (Suska) Riau. As the number of students increases, it greatly affects the way in which academic services are provided in this study program. One of the academic services currently available is the process of taking and implementing the Job Training (KP) course. The stages of the process that must be carried out by students and the KP coordinator are referring to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) currently available in the study program. The stages of the KP process are 1 submitting a proposal, 2 completing all required documents, 3 waiting for the proposal selection, 4 receiving the announcement of the selection results and 5 appointing supervisors. All processes are currently carried out directly dealing with the Ko.KP in the study program. Of course this causes problems, one of which is the long processing time and documents are the main reason for requiring archive storage space which is less efficient at this time. The purpose of this research is to identify the feasibility of the proposed KP system, design the SI KP as a reference in building the system and apply the IS in the study program so that the KP process can run more effectively. The processed data comes from questionnaires distributed to students and the KP coordinator. Data processing techniques that have been collected using User Centered Design (UCD). The results of the evaluation of the SI Mock-up prototype with the agreed value of the KP system is 76.54%. The conclusion of this research can be continued, so that this researcher can produce SI KP which is implemented in the SI Study Program of UIN Suska Riau.

ANALYSIS OF STUDENT SATISFACTION WITH STUDENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN THE INFORMATION SYSTEMS STUDY PROGRAM AT PRIMA INDONESIA UNIVERSITY USING THE SERVICE QUALITY (SERVQUAL) METHOD

The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of student satisfaction with student management services in the Information Systems Study Program at Prima Indonesia University. The method used in this study is the Service Quality method to measure the level of student satisfaction. The results of the research show that the level of student satisfaction with student management services is 4.28 and the Servqual method has good quality in measuring student satisfaction.

Comparison of AHP and SAW Methods to Determine Outstanding Lecturers

The selection of outstanding lecturers in an Information Systems study program at XYZ University is currently still done conventionally. That is, it is still subjective and has not used special calculation methods to support decisions. Thus, it is necessary to have an appropriate decision support system to assist in determining outstanding lecturers objectively. The method used in this research is the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and simple additive weighting (SAW). From the calculation of the two methods, the final result is a decision to select an outstanding lecturer in the same Information Systems study program, namely Mr. Argiyan Dwi Pritama. The results obtained from the AHP calculation yield a value of 1.46 while the SAW calculation produces a value of 0.522. From the AHP calculation, it can be concluded that the use of too many alternatives makes the ranking process too complex. Meanwhile, based on the SAW calculation, the technical calculation is very suitable for many alternatives, so it is more effective and efficient to use.

Design of Flipped Classroom Learning in Vocational Education to improve HOT Skills in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0

This study aims to describe and analyze how the flipped classroom learning model design in Computer Network Security learning in Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science. This study aims to design and develop a flipped classroom model to improve 21st century learning ability (4C).The type of development method used is Research and Development (R & D). The development procedure used is 4-D, and is part of the development stage of a learning model. The type of data used is primary data where data is obtained directly from universities, lecturers, experts and students. The results of research based on needs analysis and literature reviews have produced a flipped classroom model design, and based on the results of expert validation it can be concluded that the website-based flipped classroom design is considered quality to measure student competency achievement consisting of menu material, student recap, questions, concept understanding, assessment self, character values, and recap values. Based on the validation results of all the design indicators for the flipped classroom model which were assessed by the validator from the aspects of the feasibility of the content, the language of the instruments, and the feasibility of the graphic aspects of the valid and feasible categories for testing.

Comparison of C4.5 and Naive Bayes Algorithm Methods in Prediction of Student Graduation on Time (Case Study: Information Systems Study Program)

In tertiary institutions, students become one of the important parameters in the evaluation of study program organizers. Prediction of student graduation is a special concern to know, early identification for students is needed as an important action. Information processing to predict student graduation is by implementing data mining. The implementation of data mining can be applied if a university, especially a study program, does not yet have an early classification in achieving student graduation on time. The ITTP Information System study program is one of the study programs that does not have an early identification of student graduation on time. Determination of graduation for SI ITTP Study Program students includes GPA, TOEFL scores, and total credits. The purpose of this research is to find out which attributes have the most influence in predicting graduation of ITTP IS Study Program students. The method used in this prediction is by using the classification of the C4.5 Algorithm and Naïve Bayes. The classification is used to determine which attributes have an effect on predicting student graduation on time and to compare the two classification methods. The results obtained are the training set size 70% which has the best accuracy when compared to other training set sizes. Comparing the accuracy between the two methods, it is known that the C4.5 algorithm has good accuracy when training set size is 70% and Naïve Bayes has higher accuracy when training set size is 75%. Decision tree C4.5 interprets that the most influential attribute is the GPA as the root of the decision tree to predict student graduation on time. The research is expected to be used as a reference for the ITTP IS Study Program in formulating student graduation policies on time and as a reference for further researchers in predicting in the same field.

Application of the k-means clustering method and simple linear regression to new student admissions as a promotion method

At private label universities in Indonesia, new students are still the main thing in terms of achieving university operational income. This study intends to group the data of ITTelkom Surabaya students by utilizing the data mining process using the k-means clustering method, then the results of the clustering are forecasted using simple linear regression to be able to predict the achievement of new students as the effect variable and year as the causative variable. The results of this study consist of 5 variables, namely student province, student study program, income of student parents, student parent work and student ethnicity, each of which consists of 4 clusters, then each cluster is predicted for achievement 3 the coming year 2022,2023,2024. It can be concluded that the highest combination of student/parent student profiles was obtained from East Java province, information systems study program, parents' income of 5-10 million per month, the occupation of other parents and the ethnicity of students from Java. The highest forecasting results are found in the income variable of students' parents in cluster 3 with predictions of 1292 students in 2024. It is hoped that with clustering and forecasting based on this research, ITTelkom Surabaya can make the right decision as a basis for decision making to determine strategy in promoting the campus.

Physical security is the first step in computer security. If physical storage is not properly secured, data, even the computer applications themselves, cannot be guaranteed to be secure. Analysis of Physical Data Security of the Information Systems Study Program UIN North Sumatra Medan using point A.9 of the ISO 27001 Standard. Analysis of the physical security of the information system study program data was carried out through literature review, use of ISO 27001 points, interviews with related parties regarding the physical security of the current study program data. This study aims to find out the details and problems faced by the Medan North Sumatra UIN Information Systems Study Program in using its physical security system.
