A Scoping Review of Barriers and Facilitators for Preconception Care: Lessons for Global Health Policies and Programs.

Preconception care (PCC) encompasses a set of actions taken before pregnancy to support the health and well-being of women before conception to improve maternal and child health (MCH) outcomes. The utilization of PCC services is influenced by multifaceted factors that can either enable or impede women's capacity to access and utilize them effectively. This scoping review examines the barriers and facilitators influencing the utilization of PCC services among women of reproductive age (15-49 years) at both individual and community levels. Through an extensive review of published articles from 2004 to 2021, including peer-reviewed sources, barriers and facilitators were identified. At the individual level, barriers included limited knowledge about PCC, neglect of self-health, and financial constraints. Community-level barriers encompassed insufficient supply of supplements, restricted access to health care, high health care costs, and setbacks due to delayed delivery of MCH services. Conversely, individuals reported that credible sources of information, such as friends, family, and community health volunteers, facilitated their engagement with PCC services. At the community level, facilitators included government-regulated supply chains for supplements and the involvement of community workers in health monitoring. Understanding and addressing these factors can help improve the utilization of PCC services among women of reproductive age (WRA) and improve MCH outcomes.

IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON STUDENTS

In the contemporary digital age, social media has become an integral part of daily life, profoundly influencing various aspects of society, including education. This research paper delves into the multifaceted impact of social media on students, encompassing both the positive and negative ramifications. The positive effects of social media on students include enhanced communication and collaboration, access to vast educational resources, and opportunities for self-expression and creativity. Additionally, social media platforms can facilitate peer support networks, fostering a sense of belonging and community among students. Moreover, social media can serve as a platform for academic and career networking, enabling students to connect with mentors, professionals, and potential employers. However, the pervasive use of social media also poses significant challenges and risks for students. Excessive screen time and engagement with social media have been linked to decreased academic performance, attention deficits, and sleep disturbances. Furthermore, social media platforms often expose students to cyberbullying, online harassment, and negative social comparison, leading to psychological distress and decreased self-esteem. Moreover, the dissemination of misinformation and fake news on social media can hinder students' critical thinking skills and undermine their ability to discern credible sources of information. This research paper synthesizes existing literature to provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of social media on students, highlighting the complexities and nuances of this phenomenon. By elucidating the various dimensions of social media's influence on students, this paper aims to inform educators, parents, policymakers, and students themselves about the opportunities and challenges inherent in navigating the digital landscape. Additionally, the paper proposes recommendations for promoting responsible social media usage and mitigating its adverse effects on students' well-being and academic success.

LIS Educators’ Perception Towards the Adoption of AI Tools in Nigerian Library Schools

The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into education marks a significant shift in how students learn, teachers teach, and educational institutions operate. This research delved into the knowledge and views of Library and Information Science (LIS) educators regarding the use of AI in library schools in Rivers State. The study employed a survey approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. A total of 44 LIS educators from various institutions in Rivers State participated, selected through random sampling, and data were collected using an online survey. The study found that while many LIS educators are aware of AI and have integrated it into their teaching and research, there remains a considerable gap in formal training and professional development in this area. Despite this, there is a clear understanding among educators of the value of AI in library and information science education, in line with broader trends in education and industry. The research also identified positive attitudes towards AI as a tool to enhance education quality and prepare students for careers in librarianship and information science. However, several barriers hinder the integration of AI into curricula and practices, including lecturer attitudes, credibility of information sources, internet connectivity, negative institutional perceptions, and low lecturer competency in AI. To address these challenges, the study recommends that Nigerian library schools fully implement AI technologies like chatbots, barcodes, RFIDs, and robotics to enhance teaching activities. It also suggests that higher education institutions develop specialized training programs and workshops on AI for library schools, covering both basic and advanced concepts. This would enable educators to effectively integrate AI into their teaching and research practices.

Social media commerce: an empirical study of platform, people and information from the trust transfer perspective

PurposeThis study aims to examine the mechanisms underlying social media commerce by investigating the interplay between platforms, people and information. Drawing upon trust transfer theory, the research model proposes that the platform’s information provision enhances the credibility of the information source, leading to increased information usefulness, adoption and sharing, ultimately influencing purchase intention.Design/methodology/approachThe research design used in this study was a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional survey method. The study developed a research model based on trust transfer theory and hypothesized relationships between the platform’s information provision, information source credibility, information-related responses and purchase intention. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the collected data and test the research hypotheses.FindingsThe findings supported most of the hypotheses and provided valuable insights into the role of information credibility in shaping consumers’ purchase intentions. Specifically, the study revealed that the platform’s information provision enhances the credibility of the information source, leading to increased information usefulness, adoption and sharing. Furthermore, information usefulness and adoption mediate the relationship between information source credibility and purchase intention.Research limitations/implicationsThe limitations of this research include the use of convenience sampling, which may not represent the broader population, and the cross-sectional design, which does not provide an in-depth understanding of the adoption process. The reliance on self-reported data and the limited scope of investigation with only six constructs are additional limitations. Future studies should consider national random sampling, longitudinal designs, multiple data sources and explore negative effects and other potential mediating variables. Despite these limitations, this research contributes to the understanding of social media commerce mechanisms and provides valuable insights for practitioners in the field.Practical implicationsThe findings of this study provide valuable insights for platform providers and marketers in the social media commerce environment. First, the study emphasizes the importance of effective messaging in improving information credibility. Platform providers should focus on delivering accurate and trustworthy information to enhance consumers’ perceptions of product quality and increase purchase intentions. Second, marketers can leverage the information-related factors identified in this study, such as information usefulness and adoption, to optimize their marketing efforts. By understanding how consumers perceive and interact with information on social media platforms, marketers can tailor their strategies to effectively engage and influence potential customers. Overall, these practical implications can enhance success in the competitive social media commerce landscape.Social implicationsThe social implications of this study are significant for social media commerce practitioners. The findings highlight the importance of effective messaging and information provision on social media platforms in improving information credibility, thereby enhancing purchase intention. By understanding the mechanisms that drive consumer behavior in the context of social media commerce, platform providers and marketers can optimize their marketing efforts. This includes focusing on delivering trustworthy and useful information, fostering information adoption and sharing among users and ultimately increasing the likelihood of successful transactions. These insights provide valuable guidance for practitioners to navigate the competitive landscape of social media commerce and enhance their chances of success.Originality/valueThe originality of this research lies in its application of trust transfer theory to investigate the mechanisms driving social media commerce. By examining the interplay between platform, people and information, the study specifically focuses on the role of the platform’s information provision in enhancing information credibility and its impact on information-related responses and purchase intentions. This study extends the understanding of the trust transfer mechanism between customers and sellers/brands in customer-to-customer social commerce by emphasizing the importance of effective messaging and information credibility in shaping consumer behavior. The empirical findings contribute to the understanding of information trust transfer and provide a unique perspective on the underlying mechanisms that drive social media commerce.

How are you affected? The public’s online information behaviour patterns during the COVID-19 infodemic

PurposeThis paper aims to examine the impact of the COVID-19 infodemic on the public’s online information behaviour, offering insights critical for shaping effective informational responses in future public health emergencies.Design/methodology/approachThis paper uses a structured online survey with 27 targeted questions using a five-point Likert scale to measure eight variables. Data analysis is conducted through structural equation modelling on 307 valid responses to rigorously test the research hypotheses.FindingsThis paper indicates that information quality significantly impacts the public’s capacity to select, share and use online information. Additionally, the comprehensibility of information plays a crucial role in shaping the public’s behaviours in terms of online information exchange and usage. The credibility of information sources emerges as a key determinant influencing the public’s online information selection, exchange and utilization behaviour. Moreover, social influence exerts a substantial effect on the public’s online information selection, acquisition, exchange and utilization behaviour. These findings highlight the presence of universality and sociality, mediation and guidance, as well as the purposefulness and selectivity performed by the public’s online information behaviour during an infodemic.Originality/valueThis paper introduces a novel research model for assessing the influence and identifies the patterns of the public’s online information behaviour during the COVID-19 infodemic. The findings have significant implications for developing strategies to tackle information dissemination challenges in future major public health emergencies.

Abstract 818: Fighting prostate cancer with a multimedia approach

Abstract Introduction: Black men have the highest prostate cancer (CaP) mortality rates. The reason for this disparity is multifaceted, including the barriers that they face at the individual, provider, and health system levels. To address these challenges the iCCaRE for Black Men Consortium uses a multi-level approach to disseminating CaP information. This approach is rooted in research which shows that Black men prefer to receive information through multi-media channels tailored to their needs. In addition, studies have reported that CaP survivors were viewed as credible sources of information. This presentation reports on how iCCaRE Consortium is bridging the digital divide in minoritized communities to disseminate CaP information in a way that is meaningful to the community. Methodology: iCCaRE uses a multimedia method to reach Black men. This includes twitter post, Facebook, YouTube, ecancer and community lunch and learns. In addition to social media, we have partnered with LitTV Network, a locally owned digital TV platform, on which we have iCCaRE TV. On Lit TV network we have the ability to reach 11,000 homes in our catchment area. Furthermore, the consortium has produced informational flyers that are disseminated at outreach events and at the American Legion Post 197. On the twitter page the consortium post: (1) 2 scientific publications per day authored by members of the consortium, (2) 2 weekly “Did You Know” facts about prostate cancer with sources attached, (3) 2 weekly url post sharing a link to a video from the iCCaRE consortium YouTube page and (4) clips of CaP survivors sharing their experiences. On the YouTube page we currently have: videos series of a CaP survivor who is also a physician scientist, interview series with MPIs and members of the consortium, CaP survivor series including a barbershop interview with a survivor. Results: The iCCaRE Consortium multimedia efforts have a global reach, in less than a year we have gained 102 twitter followers. On average the twitter page receives 8,700 impressions during the CaP awareness month in September the twitter page garnered over 14,000 impressions. Our videos on the ecancer platform have a combined global view of 341 representing countries such as the United States, Nigeria, Cameroon, United Kingdom, Macedonia, and Mexico. The American Legion Post 197 in North Jacksonville has served a cumulative of 229 people through outreach and educational event called lunch and learns. Our YouTube channel has had almost 100 views in its first month of being active. Conclusion: Using a multi-level approach to reduce the burden of CaP for Black men is vitally important; without such efforts the disparate thread in mortality will continue to persist. Meeting Black men through the mediums they use for gathering health information removes barriers, increases access and will aid in the fight against CaP for Black Men. Generation Z's Health Information Avoidance Behavior: Insights From Focus Group Discussions.

Younger generations actively use social media to access health information. However, research shows that they also avoid obtaining health information online at times when confronted with uncertainty. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of health information avoidance among Generation Z, a representative cohort of active web users in this era. Drawing on the planned risk information avoidance model, we adopted a qualitative approach to explore the factors related to information avoidance within the context of health and risk communication. The researchers recruited 38 participants aged 16 to 25 years for the focus group discussion sessions. In this study, we sought to perform a deductive qualitative analysis of the focus group interview content with open, focused, and theoretical coding. Our findings support several key components of the planned risk information avoidance model while highlighting the underlying influence of cognition on emotions. Specifically, socioculturally, group identity and social norms among peers lead some to avoid health information. Cognitively, mixed levels of risk perception, conflicting values, information overload, and low credibility of information sources elicited their information avoidance behaviors. Affectively, negative emotions such as anxiety, frustration, and the desire to stay positive contributed to avoidance. This study has implications for understanding young users' information avoidance behaviors in both academia and practice.

(033) Artificial Intelligence ChatGPT and GPT4 Performance on Male and Female Sexual Dysfunction, Sexually Transmitted Infection, and Male Factor Infertility in the 2019 to 2023 American Urological Association Self-Assessment Study Programs

Abstract Introduction Large Language Model (LLM) applications in Medicine are increasing. Chatbots ChatGPT and GPT4 were tested against medical exams. The vetting of these tests as a source of information for both the patient and physician is needed. A credible source of medical information may be used as the gold standard against which the LLM can be tested. Objective We assess the performance of ChatGPT and GPT4 to answer the American Urological Association (AUA) Self-Assessment Study Program (SASP) questions on male sexual dysfunction (MSD), female sexual dysfunction (FSD), sexually transmitted infection (STI), and male factor infertility (MFI). We aim to find out how credible this LLM is as a source of medical advice. Methods Four registered users of the SASP identified the questions using open book mode in tests from 2019 to 2023, spanning their subscriptions. The questions were ranked for difficulty on a five-point Likert scale. OpenAI ChatGPT 3.5 and GPT4 were used to answer the questions. The GPT program was set to turn off chat history. No plug-ins or feedback were permitted. Prompts were generated from question stems masking question ID and adding the phrase "I am a urologist preparing for my board exam. Please answer the following question:" Images were deleted from questions and substituted with a brief description. All questions were answered separately, first using GPT-4 and then ChatGPT. Three consecutive responses were generated for each prompt, and the consensus answer was tallied. Answers were compared between GPT and provided answer key of SASP. Descriptive statistics, chi-Pearson Chi-square, and Fisher's exact tests were applied. Results We identified 115 questions in the domains of sexual dysfunction, STI, and MFI. Only one question had an associated image. GPT4 performed better than ChatGPT in all domains, providing correct answers of 60% versus 40% (p=0.000). A total of 89.9% of correct answers were three times unanimously regenerated by GPT4 (p=0.007) and 67.4% by ChatGPT (p=0.244). Within each domain, there was no significant difference in the correct answers for each chatbot (Table-1) or test year (p=0.682). The SASP source reference answers were Campbell's Urology only in 38.3 %, AUA guidelines only in 17.4%, AUA core curriculum only in 10.4%, and combinations with other sources in 33.9%. There was no significant association of source reference with the correct answers of GPT4 (p=0.058) or ChatGPT (p=0.451). Only 19.1% were open-access sources, 20% were partially open-access, and 60.9% were restricted to subscribers. The availability of the source did not significantly affect the correct answers of GPT4 (p=0.272) or ChatGPT (p=0.231). Both chatbots' correct answers were associated significantly with easier questions (Table-2). Conclusions The LLM tested has an average accuracy as a source of credible medical information on Sexual dysfunction, STI, and MFI. GPT4 performs better than ChatGPT, especially when there is a unanimous regenerated response. The development of a better model to serve a broader group of physicians and patients will require training of the chatbot on credible urology literature that includes the currently 81% restricted sources. Ethical Issues of Social Media in Nigeria

This study sought to analyse ethical concerns of social media in Nigeria. The theoretical framework adopted is the Source Credibility Theory. The study employed Critical Discourse Analysis. The population of the study consisted of the top four (4) social networking sites in Nigeria. Out of these, Twitter was purposively selected for its widespread use for youth activism, particularly within the context of the #EndSARS protest; and for being the only social media platform the federal government had temporarily banned for ethical violations. A convenient sample of ten (10) tweets, which included retweets with text and images posted both during and within 18 months after the protest, was used to collect secondary data. Findings demonstrated a mix of ethical and unethical use of Twitter within the context of the protest. The result also revealed that although Twitter is a credible source of information, there were instances of anonymous tweets, which cast some doubts on the credibility of that specific source. The study recommends that beyond social media regulations, there is a need for the promotion of media literacy in Nigeria’s workplaces and educational system. In addition, the form of self-regulation inherent in African ethics should be applied by users of social media to facilitate harmonious communication. This study has made a modest contribution in the area of source credibility theory by proposing a conceptual framework within the context of the study.

Driving frugal innovation in SMEs: how sustainable leadership, knowledge sources and information credibility make a difference.

This study investigates the driving factors behind frugal innovation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). It specifically examines sustainable leadership as an independent variable, considering its impact on frugal innovation, with sources of knowledge mediating this relationship and information credibility moderating the effects. Employing a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, data were gathered from 325 employees of SMEs in Pakistan. This methodology was chosen for its ability to handle complex relationships between multiple variables simultaneously, offering robust insights into the interplay among sustainable leadership, sources of knowledge, information credibility, and frugal innovation. The results reveal significant associations between sustainable leadership, sources of knowledge, information credibility, and frugal innovation. Sustainable leadership demonstrates a substantial influence on both sources of knowledge and frugal innovation. Furthermore, sources of knowledge play a vital role in mediating the relationship between sustainable leadership and frugal innovation. Information credibility emerges as a significant moderator, affecting the pathways between sustainable leadership, sources of knowledge, and frugal innovation. The findings underscore the importance of sustainable leadership and credible information sources in driving frugal innovation within SMEs. They highlight the intricate interdependencies among these variables and emphasize the pivotal role of information credibility in shaping these dynamics. These results carry significant implications for SMEs in Pakistan, shedding light on the mechanisms through which sustainable leadership and reliable knowledge sources can stimulate frugal innovation in emerging economies.

A Nudge to Credible Information as a Countermeasure to Misinformation: Evidence from Twitter

As people increasingly rely on social media to obtain healthcare information, misinformation, such as myths, rumors, and false information on healthcare, is posing a grave threat to public health. This paper investigates a potential remedy for such infodemic by examining a unique countermeasure that Twitter implemented. Instead of resorting to outright censorship, Twitter has taken a more nuanced approach: The platform has been nudging its users toward reputable sources whenever they seek out topics susceptible to misinformation. By analyzing the propagation of news articles that contain misinformation about health topics, we find that misinformation is less likely to initiate a diffusion process on Twitter since the inception of the policy. Moreover, tweets that include a link to misinformation articles are less likely to receive retweets, quotes, or replies. Furthermore, we find that the observed reduction is primarily driven by a decline in diffusion activities by human-like accounts rather than bot-like accounts. Our findings suggest that a misinformation policy that nudges platform users to a credible information source can help effectively curb misinformation diffusion. This approach may serve as a model for other platforms grappling with the challenge of misinformation in the digital age.

Newspaper Coverage of Hospitals During a Prolonged Health Crisis: Longitudinal Mixed Methods Study.

It is important for health organizations to communicate with the public through newspapers during health crises. Although hospitals were a main source of information for the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, little is known about how this information was presented to the public through (web-based) newspaper articles. This study aims to examine newspaper reporting on the situation in hospitals during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands and to assess the degree to which the reporting in newspapers aligned with what occurred in practice. We used a mixed methods longitudinal design to compare internal data from all hospitals (n=5) located in one of the most heavily affected regions of the Netherlands with the information reported by a newspaper covering the same region. The internal data comprised 763 pages of crisis meeting documents and 635 minutes of video communications. A total of 14,401 newspaper articles were retrieved from the LexisNexis Academic (RELX Group) database, of which 194 (1.3%) articles were included for data analysis. For qualitative analysis, we used content and thematic analyses. For quantitative analysis, we used chi-square tests. The content of the internal data was categorized into 12 themes: COVID-19 capacity; regular care capacity; regional, national, and international collaboration; human resources; well-being; public support; material resources; innovation; policies and protocols; finance; preparedness; and ethics. Compared with the internal documents, the newspaper articles focused significantly more on the themes COVID-19 capacity (P<.001), regular care capacity (P<.001), and public support (P<.001) during the first year of the pandemic, whereas they focused significantly less on the themes material resources (P=.004) and policies and protocols (P<.001). Differences in attention toward themes were mainly observed between the first and second waves of the pandemic and at the end of the third wave. For some themes, the attention in the newspaper articles preceded the attention given to these themes in the internal documents. Reporting was done through various forms, including diary articles written from the perspective of the hospital staff. No indication of the presence of misinformation was found in the newspaper articles. Throughout the first year of the pandemic, newspaper articles provided coverage on the situation of hospitals and experiences of staff. The focus on themes within newspaper articles compared with internal hospital data differed significantly for 5 (42%) of the 12 identified themes. The discrepancies between newspapers and hospitals in their focus on themes could be attributed to their gatekeeping roles. Both parties should be aware of their gatekeeping role and how this may affect information distribution. During health crises, newspapers can be a credible source of information for the public. The information can also be valuable for hospitals themselves, as it allows them to anticipate internal and external developments.

Exploring the impact of beauty vloggers’ credible attributes, parasocial interaction, and trust on consumer purchase intention in influencer marketing

The growing usage of digital platforms has made influencer marketing the most cost-effective marketing tool, especially for products consumed by young digital natives. Among other products, these include fashion and beauty-related items such as cosmetics, whose online marketing has created a particular category of influencers called ‘beauty vloggers.’ By applying the source credibility model, this study investigates whether beauty vloggers’ credible attributes (trustworthiness, expertise, and attractiveness) help consumers build trust towards them and whether followers’ trust leads to desirable marketing outcomes (increased purchase intention). Prior literature used the source credibility model in a fragmented manner. However, this study enhances the holistic framework of social media influencers’ impact on purchase intention by investigating all three credible attributes. It specifically addresses the significance of cultivating trust between beauty vloggers and followers, exploring the impact of vloggers’ credible attributes on consumer purchase intention. Additionally, beauty vloggers periodically engage in parasocial interactions to increase closeness with their audiences, affecting consumer behaviour. This study addresses the limited research on the consequences of parasocial interactions in an emerging market context, examining the impact of beauty vloggers’ repeated interactions on consumer behaviour, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of purchase intention using parasocial interaction as an antecedent. The research was conducted on consumers belonging to the age group of 16–45 who use social media platforms daily. Using structural equation modelling via SmartPLS software, the statistical analysis was done on 357 North Indian respondents. The study explores the influence of beauty vloggers on consumers’ purchasing behaviour in the Indian context. The results demonstrate that beauty vloggers’ credibility traits help in influencing consumer behaviour. The findings also revealed that trust partially mediates the impact of credible attributes of beauty vloggers and consumers’ purchase intention. Additionally, the results show that customers’ purchasing decisions might be influenced by repeated parasocial interactions done by beauty vloggers if they perceive them as credible information sources. The findings of the study contribute to help industrial marketers and practitioners of cosmetic companies use influencer marketing strategically in order to increase market sales.

The Gig Is Up: Examining Side Gig Income and Allowable Deductions

ABSTRACT The expansion of the gig economy has provided opportunities and challenges for tax professionals. In this case study, a rideshare driver receives a Form 1099-K for side gig income and seeks tax advice from a friend, ultimately deciding to consult with a tax professional (the student) for income tax preparation. The friend provides a video that describes misleading information giving the students a chance to consider authoritative sources as they research appropriate reporting on an individual income tax return. The case learning objectives are: (1) distinguish between credible and noncredible sources of information; (2) evaluate expenses and income to determine the taxable nature of each item; (3) analyze data for completeness in order to compile all relevant data needed for compliance reporting; (4) apply authoritative sources to resolve tax issues; (5) prepare an accurate individual income tax return; and (6) demonstrate effective written communication skills for business documentation.

The Impact of XiaoHongShu UGC on Travel Decision-Making of College Students with Different MBTI Personality Types

With the continuous advancement of We-Media, consumers are gradually starting to use User-Generated-Content on online social platforms as a reference for their travel decisions. Considering that consumers' subjective attitudes can also influence travel decisions, this study selects XiaoHongShu UGC and college students as research subjects, combining the IAM model, innovatively introducing MBTI theory to analyze the impact of XiaoHongShu UGC on travel decision-making of college students with different MBTI personality types through questionnaire surveys and literature research. The study found that there was no significant difference in the overall agreement degree of XiaoHongShu UGC and its impact on travel decisions among college students with different MBTI personality types, but the agreement degree of UGCs content and perceived value had a predictive effect on how XiaoHongShu UGC influenced the travel decisions of college students. During the analysis process, this study also found several issues regarding XiaoHongShu UGC for college student users, such as low information accuracy, information source credibility, clarity, and emotional resonance. Therefore, this study proposes four suggestions to optimize XiaoHongShu UGC, providing new perspectives for online promotion in the tourism market and filling the gap in related research fields.

Establishment of customers loyalty through brand communication in the banking industry in Nigeria

The study examined the effects of brand communication on customer loyalty of selected banking industry in Delta State. The specific objectives are to; determine the effects of information quality on customer loyalty of selected banks in Delta State and evaluate the effect of information source credibility on customer loyalty of selected banks in Delta State. The cross-sectional survey research design was adopted for the study. A sample size of 237 respondents was selected from 5 deposit money banks in Asaba, Delta State. The stratified random sampling technique was used for the study. Structured questionnaire was used as the research instrument for the study. Content, validity was taken into consideration to validate the research instrument. To establish the reliability of the instrument, a test-retest method was used. Descriptive statistics like frequency distributions and inferential statistics like correlation and multiple regressions were used to analyze the data collected for the study. Findings showed that the dimensions of brand communication accounts for 53% change in customer loyalty. The study concluded that brand communication has significant positive effect on customer loyalty of deposit money banks in Delta State Nigeria. Information quality (β =0.300, p=0.000&lt; 0.05) and information source credibility (β =0.334, p=0.000&lt; 0.05), has significant positive effect on customer loyalty of deposit money banks in Delta State Nigeria. The study recommended amongst others that banks should regularly monitor online customer reviews across various platforms. Respond promptly to both positive and negative reviews, addressing customer concerns and expressing appreciation for positive feedback. The study established that clear and relevant information empowers customers to make informed decisions, leading to a greater likelihood of choosing and remaining loyal to a bank.

his research aims to examine the construction of Tempo.co news reporting in one of its articles discusses the gratification committed by Rafael Alun Trisambodo, which can influence public perception or opinion. The method used to analyze the construction of Tempo.co's news reporting is Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis, which includes three stages: description (microstructural), interpretation (mesostructural), and explanation (macrostructural). The analysis conducted using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis found that Tempo.co in the description stage (microstructural). co's article utilized language tools to convey information about the individuals and events involved, particularly emphasizing actions, cause and effect, and the credibility of the cited sources. In the interpretation stage (mesostructural), it was observed that, Tempo. co aims to share a mission with its parent company: to cultivate an environment where people feel safe to share their ideas and opinions to create a society. In the final stage, explanation (macrostructural), three levels were identified: situational, institutional, and social. At the situational level, Tempo.co indicates that corruption cases involving public officials in Indonesia are still a significant concern and can occur among any public officials. At the institutional level, Tempo.co coordinates with credible sources of information. Finally, at the social level, Tempo.co highlights that corruption harms many people, thus establishing a direct connection between Tempo.co and the media's role in society. Purpose While tourism globally contributes positively to sociocultural exchange and local economic development, the surge in demand at some popular tourist destinations has led to environmental side effects and societal concerns. This study focuses on the environmental protection policies and capabilities of the Baekdu Mountain Conservation Area, a prominent tourist destination in China, and aims to explore the relationships between tourists' destination information source credibility, local attachment, perceived subjective norms, attitudes, and their environmentally responsible behavior.&#x0D; Methods The study employs a structural equation modeling approach based on hypotheses derived from prior research findings. Empirical data were collected through a survey administered to tourists visiting Baekdu Mountain, and demographic analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, model fit analysis, and hypothesis testing were conducted using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0.&#x0D; Results The study reveals that destination credibility significantly influences environmentally responsible behavior. Local attachment also shows a significant relationship with environmentally responsible behavior, indicating that tourists who trust the destination are more likely to develop emotional attachment. Subjective norms were found to influence environmentally responsible behavior through the mediating role of environmental attitudes.&#x0D; Conclusion The study provides practical implications for the conservation, environmental protection, and destination management of the Baekdu mountain ecological tourism site. It emphasizes the importance of efforts by tourist destinations in management, operation, and information dissemination to gain and maintain tourists' credibility. This research contributes academically by conducting empirical research on Baekdu Mountain Conservation Area in China, which has not been extensively covered in extant academic literature.

USING BIG DATA IN SEMANTIC RESEARCH: PERSPECTIVES AND APPROACHES

Statement of the problem. Digitization and technology are rapidly taking over various fields of humanitarian sciences, including cognitive linguistics that is developing new algorithms and methods of language research, with linguists being encouraged to acquire new skills in data collection and processing as well as to expand their sources of language materials. In cognitive semantics and discourse studies, the biggest game-changer has been ever increasing (to the points of apparent limitlessness) volumes of various language data from digitalized texts available on the Internet that effectively accumulate in and function as Big Data – data sets that are too multiple, large and complex to be processed by traditional, ‘by-hand’ methods. Extensive language data requires specific mining and analysis tools and techniques and imposes certain restrictions on its processing and interpretation. In this paper, the authors discuss approaches to processing (‘intellectualization’) of empirical linguistic data coming from various online sources via search engines and their overall reliability for cognitive semantics research. Results. The main argument is that to ensure the validity of the digital language data under study and credible study results, researchers should employ several data collection methods and tools, i.e., opt for methodological triangulation. The authors describe their methodology on a practical example and conclude that big data systems such as indexed digital texts can effectively replace native speakers as a source of credible information on a natural language semantics as well as improve the overall quality and verifiability of semantics studies. Conclusion. Considering the national segment of the Internet in a certain language (English, Russian, etc.) as a natural text corpus of high representativeness, the researcher can use it as a tool for testing various linguistic hypotheses. At the same time, it is necessary to reflect on the intrinsic qualities of big data, such as volume, velocity (swiftness of change), variability, lack of structure, valuableness, and the presence of “noise”, as well as carefully consider, design and test procedures for using search engines to collect big data in order to ensure the quality and verifiability of the results obtained.
