Candidates' Teaching Practice Experiences in the Natural Disaster Period

Natural disasters cause great damage to society as they cause great destruction and risks. Educational services provided after a disaster have an important role for the children and young people to be able to cope with the trauma experienced. One of the regulations regarding the educational process after a natural disaster is related to the practice courses in higher education institutions. In the scope of regulations made by the Council of Higher Education regarding the teaching practice courses of final-year students in the Faculty of Education, students benefited from the right to complete their practices at higher education institutions in different provinces. This study was carried out at a state university in the Aegean Region. 6 special education teachers determined with purposive sampling participated in the study on a voluntary basis. The data of this study which was conducted in phenomenological design as a qualitative research were collected with the focus group interview technique. The data of the study were analyzed holistically using content analysis. In the findings consisting of four main themes which are Information Resources Sharing and Planning, Professional Expectations and Preparation Process, Educational Life After the Natural Disaster, and About the Path Taken One Step Before the Profession, it was stated that attention was drawn to the up-to-date information of the institutional websites through written and social media explanations of official announcements during the announcement, follow-up, and application processes. The participants emphasized the importance of institutional information and communication in the quality of accommodation, transportation, education, and training practices while making decisions. It could be suggested that teaching practices include holistic preparation based on feedback in the process one step before the profession.

GEOMORPHOLOGICAL MAPPING OF PART OF THE NIGER DELTA, NIGERIA USING DEM AND MULTISPECTRAL IMAGERY

This study utilised geo-information technology to carry out a geomorphological mapping of a part of the Niger Delta. Satellite image analysis was based on bi-annual seasonal approach using a combination of visual analysis of the geometry, site, situation, colour, and season for analysis of the non-topographic features. The study also utilised virtual and onsite fieldworks and existing geomorphologic information to interpret and analyse topographic and bathymetric features. First-order topographic features (elevation) and second level features including slope, aspect, curvature and mathematically exaggerated shaded relief were extracted from DEM. Relief classification was based on average elevation differences, hill shade, slope, and aspect. Three main non-topographic landforms were identified; the permanent rivers with stable meanders, perennially-active systems of creeks and fluvial landforms including scroll bars and oxbows. With the exception of higher elevation values towards the north-western fringe, the elevation ranges between mean sea level and 1 metre above sea level thus establishing a somewhat flat terrain. These areas were filled with meandering streams, sinuous creeks and watercourses flanked by mangrove vegetation. In the north-western area, elevation rose close to approximately 4 metres in most of the area with a peak of 10 metres. Generally, the cumulative area-slope analysis yielded a deltaic plain with generalised slope ≤ 20. Overall two elevation-based geographically differentiated morphological units were identified; tidal mudflats and saltmarshes. The study recommends that to provide needed information for resource planning and management, further investigation should be carried out with a view to modelling probable ecological and geomorphological changes in the entire Niger Delta.
 

Models of project management in electronic project management

Creation and implementation of electronic project management is possible only when management processes will be based on computer methods of collecting, processing and using information for management decisions making. Therefore, we consider models that are suitable for management of projects of creation and providsion of information resources in terms of electronic project management. The application variants of creation and provision of informational resources of management models and corresponding management classes of projects of creation and provision of information resources are shown. It is determined that the management class of a project is a plurality of subclasses of projects that are formed by the above features and for which the same type of methods and controls are applied. The following management models are considered: a hierarchical model that is characteristic of the processes of information collection and integration; algorithmic model, which is used mainly for projects implemented in the software and information environment; an iterative model, based on reusing of information resource planning and control operations with a parallel analysis of the results obtained and the correction of the previous stages; and the linear model most often applied to projects in which management costs should be minimal. Formalized definition of each model, as well as characteristics of its application. The calculation of the terms of the projects for each model of management is shown. It is noted that the direction for further research is the development of a method for establishing links between the description of such a project and management models

An Analysis of the University Informatization Construction Based on Information Resource Planning

The university informatization is a necessity of the higher education modernization, a need of deepening teaching reformation and cultivating the new-style capable people, and a requirement of enhancing the management level. Based on the analysis of informatization and connotation of the university informatization, according to the problems of informatization construction of the higher education institutions, the article proposed the basic method and basic content of the university informatization construction based on information resource planning and provided the suggestions on how to reinforce the university informatization construction.

Research and Application on Information Resources Planning for University

Information resource planning is a bridge for information technology planning and implementation, which plays a connecting role. This paper discusses the basic principles and methods of information resources planning. Taking University Information Resource Planning as example, this paper introduces the business process analysis, requirements analysis, business modeling and system modeling of the University core business processes, at last proposes the reference model for practical application from practice.

Application of IRP Technology in the Informatization Construction of Vehicle Maintenance Support

Information resource planning （IRP）is a unified planning for the collection, processing, storage, transfer and usage at all stages of information. IRP is the foundation engineering and pilot engineering for the informatization construction of vehicle maintenance support. As an important and standardized project in the informatization construction of the vehicle support, the operation of IRP for vehicle maintenance information will play an important role in promoting and improving the informatization construction level of the vehicle support. This paper introduces several basic concepts in IRP first, then discusses the implementation procedures of the IRP of vehicle maintenance support, and analyzes the whole solutions for the informatization construction of vehicle maintenance support finally based on IRS.

Research on regional health information resources planning

Regional health planning is a leading and scientific management philosophy for healthcare development in the international community.Information resources planning paves the way for scientific development.In the ongoing health reform in China,planning of regional health resources will play a key role by leveraging information technology.From the viewpoints of health information resources and information resources planning,the paper defines the concept of regional health information resources planning in microcosmic perspective.It summarized the five features of public welfare,specificity,imbalance,small channel and low noise,and non-symmetry.Authors compared the five planning modes,namely the community medical information resources mode,the general hospitals as the center of information resource mode,the regional PACS mode,the regional health data resource mode,and the regional medical coordination resources mode.In the paper,the planning is rounded up as four key points,that is,the basic steps of situation assessment and analysis,routine work of health information standardization,the planning should both comply with general rules of information resource planning and characteristics of the health sector,in addition to guidelines of forward-looking concepts. The Design of an Enterprise Information Resource Management Platform Based on IRP

Information Resource Planning (IRP) is a comprehensive planning for the information that enterprise management activities needed which from the production, acquisition, to processing, storage, transmission and use and is the information construction foundation. Information Resource Standard Management Platform (STP) is based on the IRP standards and the model results and provides the tools of data element management and the platform of results demonstrated platform for IRP implementation.

Product Cost Management Structures: a review and neural network modelling

This paper reviews the growth of approaches in product costing and draws synergies with information management and resource planning systems, to investigate potential application of state of the art modelling techniques of neural networks. Increasing demands on costing systems to serve multiple decision-making objectives, have made it essential to use better techniques for analysis of available data. This need is highlighted in the paper. The approach of neural networks, which have several analogous facets to complement and aid the information demands of modern product costing, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) structures and the dominant-computing environment (for information management in the object oriented paradigm) form the domain for investigation. Simulated data is used in neural network applications across activities that consume resources and deliver products, to generate information for monitoring and control decisions. The results in application for feature extraction and variation detection and their implications are presented in the paper.

A matrix formulation for integrating assembly trees and manufacturing resource planning with capacity constraints

This paper introduces a new matrix-based formulation for assembly trees which facilitates solving the manufacturing resource planning (MRP) problem including resource constraints for a large class of problems. The algorithm seamlessly integrates assembly tree information, capacity requirements, and traditional manufacturing resource planning; the algorithm allows for a large class of capacity limitations, and solves these problems without requiring a manager to iteratively adjust the MRP schedule.

Knowledge Assets in the Global Economy

This article has the following objectives: developing the need for assessing knowledge capital at the national economic level; review of a national case study of how intellectual capital assessment was done in case of one nation state; suggesting implications of use of such assessment methods and needed areas of advancement; and highlighting caveats in existing assessment methods that underscore the directions for future research. With increasing emphasis on aligning national information resource planning, design and implementation with growth and performance needs of businesses or nations, better understanding of new valuation and assessment techniques are necessary for information resource management policymakers, practitioners and researchers.

Information resource planning for a health-care system using an AHP-based goal programming method

This paper presents a goal programming (GP) model which aids in allocating a health-care system's information resources pertinent to strategic planning. The model is developed based on the data obtained from a major health-care system in the United States. The overall objective is to design and evaluate a model for effective information resource planning in a health-care system. The proposed model: (1) utilizes a GP approach to reflect the multiple, conflicting goals of the health-care system; (2) employs a GP solution process to reflect multi-dimensional aspects of the resource allocation planning; and (3) allows for some degree of flexibility of decision-making with respect to resource allocation. The goals are decomposed and prioritized with respect to the corresponding criteria using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The model result is derived and discussed. This GP model facilitates decision-making planning process and managerial policy in health-care information resources planning and similar planning settings.

Interorganizational information systems: New approaches to global economic development

The emergence of cross-national interorganizational configurations (IOCs) has important implications for information resource structuring, planning, and strategy. Findings reported in this paper stem from a review of the literature, a database of cross-national interorganizational configurations formed during the last two years, and a five-year study of information systems resource management in primarily U.S.-based major organizations. This study involves eight subsets of approximately twelve to fifteen organizations examined once each during this period. Within each organization, a field researcher conducted open-ended, semi-structured interviews with the top information systems manager. Findings indicate the need for a paradigm shift to incorporate the IOC as a level of analysis to match the emerging new world economic order and the needs for cross-national information resources structures and strategies.

Information Resource Planning: Overcoming Difficulties in Identifying Top Management's Objectives

Twenty information resource managers employed by medium to large organizations in diverse industries were interviewed to discover their difficulties in learning top management's objectives and their techniques for overcoming these difficulties. The thirteen difficulties can be viewed as strategic formulation or strategy communication problems. The sixteen techniques can likewise be viewed as facilitating strategy formulation or strategy communication. The research revealed that participants in strategy formulation have no problem understanding top management's objectives while information resource managers who do not participate in strategy formulation do experience that problem.
