Transformasi Digital Pendidikan Islam: Pemanfaatan Laravel dalam Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Akademik di TPA Mesjid Al-Jama’ah Padang

Managing academic information in educational institutions often faces challenges that require high efficiency. Manual processes in collecting and managing academic data can lead to complexity and errors. Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPA) Mesjid Al-Jama’ah in Padang experiences similar issues, particularly in managing registration, attendance, grades, and tuition payments. This research aims to develop an Academic Information System based on Laravel for TPA Mesjid Al-Jama’ah, encompassing four user levels: admin, prospective students, students, and teachers. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology is used in system development, involving stages such as requirements determination, prototyping, development and feedback collection, and product implementation and finalization. The system is built using UML, PHP, Laravel, and MySQL to ensure data is well-organized and free from redundancy. The implementation results indicate that this system facilitates online registration and data management, and helps teachers input grades and attendance efficiently. It is recommended that the system be further developed to include TPA financial management and add features for printing summaries and exporting data to Excel, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of information management at TPA Mesjid Al-Jama’ah.

The Role of Information Management in Strategic Operational Decisions for Corporate Crisis Prevention

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the role of information management in strategic operational decision-making for corporate crisis prevention. Information management has an important role in the strategic decision-making of enterprises, and it can help enterprises to obtain, analyze and utilize key information, provide accurate data and intelligence support, and thus effectively prevent potential crises. The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of information management in strategic operational decision-making for corporate crisis prevention and to reveal the specific application and effectiveness of information management in crisis prevention through case studies and theoretical research. Taking the prevention and response to supply chain crisis and the prevention and recovery of brand crisis as case studies, this paper analyzes in detail the specific applications and effects of information management in crisis prevention. In the section on the study of strategic operation optimization decision analysis models, we discuss the design and application of strategic operation optimization decision analysis models and the importance of strategic decision analysis in comprehensive operation sandbox simulation of enterprises. These models and methods can help enterprises to better optimize their decisions and improve the effectiveness of crisis prevention and response.

Penggunaan Sistem Basis Data Pada Portal Akademik Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatra Utara Medan

This study aims to examine the use of the database system on the Academic portal of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU). The UINSU Academic Portal functions as a means of information for UINSU students and academic activities. To increase the efficiency and effectiveness of information management, UINSU uses a database in its portal. The database system is used to store academic and administrative information such as student academic information, schedules, teacher information and other administrative information. This study used the case study method by taking a sample of UINSU Academic portal users. The data were obtained from interviews with UINSU Academic portal users and observations of the database system on the portal. The results of the study show that UINSU portal users benefit from having a database system. With a database system, users can easily and quickly access scientific and administrative information. In addition, the database system also helps information management to be more efficient and accurate.

Data-Driven Information Management Method of Power Supply Chains Using Mobile Cloud Computing

Based on the spring, spring MVC and MyBatis structures of the cloud platform SSM framework, an information management platform for power grid material supply chain is built. The data layer uses a variety of sensors to collect power grid material supply chain information, and the information is fed back to the data storage layer after being integrated by the logical reorganization function of the persistence layer. The data storage layer uses the multi-sensor supply chain information fusion method based on paste progress to fuse the information and store it in the database. The business logic layer calls the information in the database and uses the improved k-means clustering algorithm to detect the abnormal supply chain data information. After calculation and data control by the control layer, the data management results are displayed through the presentation layer. The experimental results show that the absolute error of data fusion is very low. It can effectively cluster data information and distinguish outlier anomaly information at the same time, and the effect of information management is good.

An Informatization Model of Scientific Computing for Mining Association Rules Used in Teaching Management Evaluation

The management information system is a kind of information-based, people-oriented, and socialized service as its purpose. It adopts advanced technology to realize the management of teachers, students, and other related personnel while effectively improving the quality of teaching. This article first analyzes the overview of data mining technology. Secondly, it analyzes the related algorithms of association rules. Finally, this article introduces the demand analysis of the university teaching quality evaluation system based on the scientific calculation of association rules. According to the demand analysis results, the system module and the corresponding submodule function modules are determined, and finally, the system architecture model is designed. Experimental results show that this model is useful for providing the effectiveness of information management.

The Information System Management and Its Infrastructure for Supply Chain Management as Antecedents of Financial Performance

A model is presented in this paper to provide understanding of the supply chain integration and supply chain information practices' impact on the manufacturing industries. The supply chain information practices play a crucial role in sharing information between the members of SC network. Thus, it is important to develop a comprehensive understanding of the differences and similarities among ISI and information management. It will allow firms to systematically evaluate and carefully choose the information strategy. The empirical findings of this research offer essential and interesting insights about what role SCI, supply chain information and Supply chain ISI play in determining Malaysia's financial performance. The theoretical gaps addressed in this study are of significant importance, since a little empirical evidence is available regarding system infrastructure and supply chain information management's effectiveness. This research provides further paths of exploring system infrastructure and information management, thereby defining the manufacturing industries' next step in SCM struggle i.e. modifying total integrated SC principle in other manufacturing firms. The Resource-based theory discovered organizational resources as an essential organizational success ingredient. Therefore, in order to recognize its potential value, internal resources, for instance, information system and management must be fully utilized.

A Fully Distributed Approach for Economic Dispatch Problem of Smart Grid

The cooperative, reliable and responsive characteristics make smart grid more popular than traditional power grid. However, with the extensive employment of smart grid concepts, the traditional centralized control methods expose a lot of shortcomings, such as communication congestion, computing complexity in central management systems, and so on. The distributed control method with flexible characteristics can meet the timeliness and effectiveness of information management in smart grid and ensure the information collection timely and the power dispatch economically. This article presents a decentralized approach based on multi agent system (MAS) for solving data collection and economic dispatch problem of smart grid. First, considering the generators and loads are distributed on many nodes in the space, a flooding-based consensus algorithm is proposed to achieve generator and load information for each agent. Then, a suitable distributed algorithm called λ-consensus is used for solving the economic dispatch problem, eventually, all generators can automatically minimize the total cost in a collective sense. Simulation results in standard test cases are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

Information Management for the Assistive Technology Provision in Community: Perspectives of Local Policymakers and Health Service Providers.

Background Assistive technology (AT) is a way to enhance the performance of daily activities in people with disabilities and help them live more independently. However, an important problem in providing AT lies in the effectiveness of information management. Local policymakers and health service providers have become aware of this problem and their perspectives are the key to solving it. Methods This study explored the types of AT provided for people with disabilities in the community and the perspectives on information management of local policymakers and health service providers. A survey checklist and semistructured in-depth interview were the instruments of this study. The key informants in this study included administrators, nurses, and physical therapists from four community areas in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Results The medical records showed that the types of AT provided were mostly second-hand (57.24%) and borrowed devices (57.73%). All of them were low-tech devices (crutch, cane, walker, wheelchair, and adaptive tricycle). In addition, the results indicated three perspective aspects related to information management: (1) problems in the database recording system, (2) different policies and processes of information management, and (3) improvement of the AT provision system. Conclusion The perspectives of local policymakers and health service providers indicated related problems, impacts of policies, and ways to improve the AT provision system by applying information technology.

The Development Of Cultural Heritage Repository Based On Ontology

Malaysia is known for its traditional cultural heritage. This is reflected from a diverge range of practices and ways of life of its people. Nevertheless, the traditional cultural heritage has been gradually forgotten overtime. The information related to traditional cultural heritage can be obtained from various sources and locations but is inconsistent thus resulting in information seeking difficulties. A repository of cultural heritage was constructed to overcome the problem. The repository was built based on ontology which enable semantic knowledge representation and searching. The ontology consists of tangible objects that are listed as national heritage objects by the National Heritage Department (JWN). Additional information is also collected from various sources, including the National Library, the National Museum, the history books, articles and online references. Classes for each object was identified using middle-out approach. An information retrieval system prototype was constructed to test the effectiveness of information management and access. The evaluation of the prototype shows that the ontology has improved the information management and information searching of tangible heritage. This cultural heritage repository could be extended as a main hub of national cultural heritage management and access.

Personal information management effectiveness of knowledge workers: conceptual development and empirical validation

What critical factors contribute to knowledge workers’ effective information management and consequent job performance? This paper begins to address this important question by developing a conceptual definition of a new construct called personal information management effectiveness (PIME) and its constituent dimensions. Specifically, we theorize that PIME consists of two underlying dimensions: personal information management motivation (PIMM) and personal information management capability (PIMC). Synthesizing the extant literature on information management and information orientation, we further conceptualize PIMM as having four sub-dimensions of proactiveness, sharing, transparency, and formality, and PIMC as possessing five sub-dimensions of sensing, collecting, organizing, processing, and maintaining. Moreover, we develop a theoretical model that positions PIME as a mediator between two selected individual characteristics (IT self-efficacy and need-for-cognition) and job performance. New measures for PIME dimensions were developed and shown to have strong psychometric properties. The proposed model was empirically tested using data collected from 352 knowledge workers. As theorized, PIME was found to have significant effects on job performance (41%) and fully mediate the effects that the selected individual characteristics have on job performance. Responding to recent calls for advanced research on personal information management, the measures of PIMM and PIMC developed in this study have practical value as research and diagnostic tools and the findings provide useful insights to help organizations improve knowledge workers’ information management practices.

A Research on Construction of Information Management Platform for the Architectural Design Industry Based on the Life Cycle Theory

This study developed an information lifecycle-oriented information management system model for architectural design industry by combining information lifecycle theory with information management system for architectural design industry. In addition to improving weak/complicated processes during information management for architectural design industry, this integrated model merged information lifecycle theory on routine information management operations, and therefore enhances business sensitivity of information management and promotes effectiveness of information management. Furthermore, with the information management process reengineering, this paper studied the theory and framework of information lifecycle flow based on information process mechanism on integrated information management phases for architectural design industry. The paper established an analytical framework for the study of the process and mechanism of disaster information process reengineering and taking the architectural design industry for example, this paper analyzed diversified phases of integrated process for information management of architectural design industry. Key outcomes of this study include the demonstration and assessment of the information process mechanism and information management for architectural design industry based on information lifecycle theory. This study established a new direction for future research on information lifecycle-oriented process reengineering for architectural design industry.

An investigation on the effect of IT management capabilities on role performance of senior IT executives

The population of the survey includes all senior IT executives who work for different banks in Iran. The study adopts a questionnaire developed by Chen and Wu (2011) [Chen, Y. C., & Wu, J. H. (2011). IT management capability and its impact on the performance of a CIO. Information & Management, 48(4), 145-156.]. The study investigates whether CIOs’ superior IT competency and CIO's superior management are positively associated with IT management activity effectiveness. In addition, the study investigates whether a higher level of IT management activity effectiveness is positively associated with CIO role performance. ANTECEDENTS AND CONSEQUENCES OF INFORMATION QUALITY: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF PRINTING AND PACKAGING FIRMS IN THAILAND

ABSTRACT The economic situation is highly competitive nowaday, including the quick changing, and development in many dimensions. The owner of a firm needs to adjust to support this kind of changing and competition to obtain the firms success and sustanability. For this study, we aim to test the effect of information quality (accuracy, relevance, timeline, and completeness) on decision-making effectiveness and firm success in the case study of 800 printing and packaging industries in Thailand using OLS regression. We have suggested four variables (best accounting practice, internal audit system quality, information reporting efficiency, and information management effectiveness) that would effect on information quality. The results show that the relevance and timeline of information quality is higher, the decision-making effectiveness, and the firm success is better. While, the decision making effectiveness is also the positive related with the firm success. In addition, information reporting efficiency has a positive relationship with the accuracy and relevance. For the mediating variables, the accounting employee knowledge is positive moderated with the best accounting practice – timeline information relationship, internal audit system quality – accuracy information quality, and internal audit system quality – relevance information quality. It is clear that the information management effectiveness has not any relation with all information quality. Likewise, the accounting employee knowledge will not moderate both of information reporting efficiency and information management effectiveness with information quality. Effectiveness of Information Management in Academic Libraries: A Survey on Higher Educational Institutions in the UAE-A Pilot Study

This paper deals with information management and its effectiveness among the higher educational institutions in United Arab Emirates (UAE). A sample of thirty-two library professionals from twenty five institutions was collected for this study. An online questionnaire was designed and sent to the target group via email. Chi-squared and ANOVA tests were applied to compare the variables. This study revealed that most libraries do archive digital documents. Some library professionals are aware of opensource software, which are plenty in number. Few institutions have assigned special names for their libraries. Most librarians who participated held a post-graduate degree. Academic libraries in the UAE were found to be adopting software (commercial, in-house and open) to manage the available information in an effective manner.

Investigating the business value of information management

Research on the effect of information management on organizational performance is an important issue. The primary problem of the business value of information is embedded in the following reasoning: information management creates business value indirectly but creates business costs directly, making the evaluation and measurement of information management and the benefits thereof difficult for organizations. In this study an empirical survey was conducted in ten large South African organizations to establish practices and norms in managing the business value of information management, information management investment and benefits evaluation. The most common criteria considered to be important were the ability to adapt and support business changes and the stability and quality of information management services to the user community.

Accountants in Japan: The Role of Nutrient Information and Information Consciousness

Accounting firms are a vital component of Japan's economic system whose failures are blamed, at least in part, for Japan's economic difficulties. In order for the accounting profession to fully meet its current challenges, it must have an ample and stable supply of accountants who are not only technically qualified but who are also motivated to perform the expected responsibilities. Accounting firms, as information providers, are directly impacted by the manner in which information is managed. Prior research among accounting firms in Australia and the U.S. indicates the provision of nutrient information and the firm's degree of information consciousness impact the success of such firms via the impact of these factors on the job satisfaction of accountants. As professional accountants internationally bear many of the same responsibilities and thus perform similar work, it may be appropriate to expect that Japanese accountants value the same information attributes as found in prior research. However, Japan's culture is drastically different from the cultures in the U.S. and Australia. Cultural differences may be reflected in approaches toward managing information as well as preferences for such information. This study investigates the relevance of information to the job satisfaction of Japanese accountants, in particular, comparing professional requirements to national cultural requirements to see which take precedence. We provide a preliminary examination of the effects of information management, specifically, the provision of nutrient information and the maintenance of information consciousness, on the job satisfaction of Japanese accountants. Given the cultural differences that exist, the relationships between nutrient information and the elements of information consciousness previously found may differ. Data were collected from 220 Japanese accountants. The results of this study indicate that the constructs representing nutrient information and information consciousness are present and important to job satisfaction. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

A prototype computer-based design management tool

Opportunity costs and capital mobility combine to exercise great time pressure on the design phase of major building projects. However, this phase offers the greatest possibilities for influencing the total project cost and the greatest risk of error. Anything which can be done to shorten design time while maintaining or increasing reliability thus has the potential to produce large overall savings. A key factor is increasing the effectiveness of information management. Computers now offer the possibility of improving information management. However, it will be necessary to overcome the resistance of the design culture. This paper describes the prototype of a computer-based aid which supports information management and decision processes for building design and which takes account of the attitudes of design managers.

Information Resource Management: Is it sensible and can it work?

Information Resource Management, or IRM, is founded on the assumptions that organizations are systems amenable to systematic control, and that information is a resource that can be managed in economically efficient ways. The management techniques embodied under the IRM rubric are said to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information management in organizations. These assumptions are questioned. Systems approaches to organizations have proven inadequate in most instances where they have been tried, and there is little reason to believe the IRM approach will be different. Information is not a resource in the conventional sense of the term, and economic techniques for dealing with information as a resource are lacking. Implementation of IRM suffers from ambiguities about what it is supposed to accomplish, the breadth of its intentions, and the practical constraints of implementing top-down reforms in complex organizations. The broad vision of IRM is useful for articulating goals for information management, but the efficacy of IRM as an organizing framework for actual management of information practices is limited.
