The 2024 International Conference on Mathematical Modeling, Algorithms and Data Processing (MMADP 2024) was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates during September 14-15, 2024. The conference is devoted to mathematical modeling, algorithms application, data processing, computer simulation, artificial intelligence, and scientific computing. It is an opportunity to academics, scientists, engineers, researchers, and scholars to discuss, to present, and to assess the results of their research work on recent developments. The 2024 3rd International Conference on Management Engineering and Economic Analysis (MEEA 2024) was held in London, United Kingdom during August 17-18, 2024. This conference is to bring together innovative academics and experts in the fields of management engineering, business statistics, marketing strategies, financial economics and economic analysis to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities and another goal is to promote information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference model of MEEA 2024 was divided into two sessions, including oral presentations and keynote speeches. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given 10-15 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 35-45 minutes to hold their speeches. We are glad to share with you that we received lots of submissions from the conference and we selected a bunch of high-quality papers and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorous reviewing. We are really grateful to the keynote speakers, session chairs, organizing committee members, student volunteers, and publication house. Investigation of the TaOx unipolar switching memory on high efficiency computing

Memristor has shown great potential application for data storage, neuromorphic computing chip, and memory logic, but its bi-directional operation from setting in positive bias voltage region to resetting in a negative bias voltage region would introduce a complex control circuit. Herein, a memristor with the structure of Au/TaOx/F-doped SnO2 presents unipolar switching behavior, enabling the memristor to operate the set and reset processing in a single voltage direction. By comparison with bipolar switching memristor, using this unipolar switching memristor to operate the logic expression of the letter “D” based on American standard code for information interchange (ASCII) can reduce power consumption by 55.56% while switching the logic state from “0” to “1” and then back to “0” can save up to 48% of power consumption. This work provides a feasible method for the low power consumption computing as well as a road to simplify circuit design.

Coverage of Political Unrest in Pakistani English Newspapers: A Corpus-Based Content Analysis

The newspaper is a traditional channel of information interchange between the public and the government, as well as a free platform for the general public to commend and criticize the actions and policies of the government. This article aims to study the frequency of lexical choices and positive and negative words in the news coverage of political unrest by Pakistani English newspapers using corpus-based content analysis. The data for analysis was collected from the official websites of three Pakistani English newspapers: Daily Times, The Nation, and Dawn. The collected data has been analyzed quantitatively using the corpus software AntConc. Twenty news items were selected for news corpus with purposive sampling from 5th April 2023 to 30th September 2023. The findings reveal that Pakistani English newspapers use more negative words in the coverage of political matters, which do not represent the subjectivity of the newspapers' publishers but provide trustworthy news about political uncertainty to the audience. Moreover, this study explores the agenda of Pakistani English newspaper media through the Agenda Setting theory by Maxwell McCombs and Donald Shaw (1972). Additionally, this study demonstrates how much realistically Pakistani English publications depict political events that are causing uncertainty.

A Highly Accurate Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) Detection from Medical Forum Comments Using Long Short-Term Memory Networks

Purpose: Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) classification is useful in modern medical diagnostics and related applications. ADR is an example of how medical information is frequently accessible on social media platforms for healthcare, where people can share their experiences with treatments on desktop computers and mobile devices. Many researchers are interested in gathering valuable medical data from social media for the ADR system training and classification process. Materials and Methods: This research explores the effects of three aspects on recognizing ADR mentions in social media for the medical field and proposes a deep neural network of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural networks to do so. The comments are collected from various social media platforms to implement the ADR system with proper training and testing processes. The texts from the dataset are initially preprocessed by using a data filtering and clustering process to remove the input data's redundant information to increase the training process's quality. Characteristic features, such as semantic features and text statistics, are extracted from the input text using the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) array. Further, the features are converted and fed to LSTM networks for training and validation. Results and Conclusion: This work is evaluated using two datasets, CODEC, and ADR Corpus datasets are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed ADR technique via multiple angles. Via extensive experiments, this work achieved 99.79 accuracy, 98.37 sensitivity, 97.63 specificity, 99.72 precision, 98.39 recall, 97.62 F1-score for the CODEC dataset, 98.16 for accuracy, 99.19 for sensitivity, 98.49 for specificity, 99.49 for precision, 96.72 for recall, and 93.16 for F1-score for ADR corpus, respectively.

The Benefits of Computer Conferences in Distance Education: An Assessment

This study examined the positive influence of computer conferencing on distance education, particularly its capacity to foster a sense of community, collaboration, and interaction among learners. The study employed semi-structured interviews, focus groups, observations, and document analysis to investigate the experiences of students, instructors, and educational technologists of Delar College of Education through a qualitative research design. The primary findings indicated that asynchronous communication provides convenience and flexibility, whereas synchronous communication enables immediate engagement and dynamic discussions. Additionally, computer conferencing facilitates the interchange of information at a rapid pace, reduces feelings of isolation, and facilitates the development of diverse learning environments by facilitating detailed discussions through sub-conferences. The research identified substantial advantages of computer conferencing, but it also emphasized potential constraints, including the necessity for effective facilitation and technological dependence. The research emphasizes the transformative potential of computer conferencing in improving the distance education experience. A CNN-based approach for anomaly detection in smart grid systems

Power grids are always a major center of attraction for attackers due to their large coverage area, complex technological infrastructure, remote access facilities, connectivity, and many more. The power grids that have bidirectional power flow, information interchange, and advanced communication technologies to improve the quality of power transmission and distribution are called smart grids. DoS attacks and false data injection attacks are the two major attacks on smart grids. This paper considers a false data injection attack considering noise reduction, state estimation, system parameters, and control system generation. Firstly, we measure the noise and mitigate it using the data matrix of the devices (sensors, generators, substations, and breaker systems). Secondly, state estimation uses the CNN to track the injected attack types. Finally, a control system is designed to provide anomaly patterns to the devices as input to prevent attacks in the future. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves a higher anomaly detection rate with a lower error rate (approximately . 1.43%). The network performance parameters are providing significant results; throughput (12 Mbps), PDR (0.005%), execution time (1.43 s), and energy consumption are reduced by 12%–15% as compared to the existing research findings.

Single-pixel object classification using ordered illumination patterns

The fixed-ordering illumination patterns lack an effective information interchange with objects. This leads to the light intensity values carrying random feature information, affecting the model's building and recognition capability. Furthermore, this method needs numerous illumination pattern projection counts, which results in low sampling efficiency. Therefore, we propose a new optimized-ordering illumination patterns method. In this paper, we first integrate fixed-ordering illumination patterns with category-representative images to obtain light intensity values that carry category feature information. Subsequently, the mechanisms of intra-category feature importance and inter-category feature differences are introduced to reorder the light intensity values and eliminate index numbers to generate an optimized-ordering index array. Finally, based on this index array, illumination patterns are extracted from the original fixed ordering method to form the new optimized-ordering illumination patterns. Experimental results show that in simulation experiments using the MNIST, Fashion MNIST, TRI, and Multi-category datasets, the optimized ordering method achieved recognition accuracies of 90.00%, 80.00%, 80.00%, and 80.00% with only 30 sampling times. Actual tests with physical objects such as mini numbers and clothing also confirmed these findings. The method offers a new research approach by enhancing recognition accuracy and sampling efficiency in single-pixel object classification.

Emotion recognition of EEG signals based on contrastive learning graph convolutional model.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals offer invaluable insights into the complexities of emotion generation within the brain. Yet, the variability in EEG signals across individuals presents a formidable obstacle for empirical implementations. Our research addresses these challenges innovatively, focusing on the commonalities within distinct subjects' EEG data.We introduce a novel approach named Contrastive Learning Graph Convolutional Network (CLGCN). This method captures the distinctive features and crucial channel nodes related to individuals' emotional states. Specifically, CLGCN merges the dual benefits of Contrastive Learning's synchronous multisubject data learning and the Graph Convolutional Network's proficiency in deciphering brain connectivity matrices.Understanding multifaceted brain functions and their information interchange processes is realized as CLGCN generates a standardized brain network learning matrix during a dataset's learning process. Our model significantly streamlines the retraining process for new subjects, requiring only 5% of the initial sample size for fine-tuning to attain a remarkable 92.8% accuracy rate. Additionally, our model has undergone extensive testing on the DEAP and SEED datasets, demonstrating the effectiveness of our model.&#xD.

Secure data communication in WSHN using EXP-MD5 and DHSK-ECC.

In the Healthcare (HC) sector, the usage of Wireless Sensor Healthcare Networks (WSHN) is attaining specific importance. The sensor device is implanted into the patient's body, and the sensed health information of patients is transformed via data aggregating devices like mobile devices, cameras, and so on, to the doctors. Thus, the early signs of diseases are identified, and remote monitoring of the patient's health is carried out by the physician on time. This aids in improving the health condition of the people and reduces the severity of disorders. But, the security gap in HC remains unresolved, despite various advantages. This work proposes secured data communication in WSHN using Exponential Message Digest5 (EXP-MD5) and Diffie Hellman Secret Key-based Elliptic Curve Cryptography (DHSK-ECC) techniques. Primarily, the patient registers their details in the Hospital Cloud Server (HCS). With hospital ID and patient ID, public and private keys are generated during registration. Afterward, by utilizing the Navie Shuffling (NS) technique, nCr combinations are created and shuffled. After shuffling, any of the randomly selected combinations are encoded utilizing the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) code. For patient authentication, the ASCII code is further converted into a Quick Response(QR) code. Upon successful registration, the patient logs in to HCS. The patient can book for doctor's appointment if the login details are verified with those of the registered details. On consulting the doctor at the pre-informed time, the digital signature is created utilizing the Universal Unique Salt-based Digital Signature Algorithm (UUS-DSA) for authenticating the patient details. Further, for providing accessibility to all the authorized patients, the registered patients on HCS are considered as nodes. Then, an authorized path is created using the EXP-MD5 technique to protect each individual patient's details. The patient's IoT data is sensed, followed by authorized path creation. The data is encrypted via the DHSK-ECC algorithm for secure data transmission. Lastly, all the information is stored in HCS, so that the patient's health condition is regularly monitored by the doctor and the needy advice is suggested to the patients in the future. Also, hash matching is carried out when the doctor needs to access data. The proposed technique's efficacy is validated by the performance analysis in comparison with other conventional techniques. In this proposed research, the authentication is performed in multiple scenarios to enhance data security and user privacy. The patient details are authenticated during registration and verification to access the online consultation only by the authorized person. Further, the patient health information is encrypted in the proposed work after consultation so that the intrusion of medical records by malicious users and data tampering is prevented. Also, the sensed data gathered from patients are transferred to the HCS by creating the authorized path, which further enhances the security of patient data. Thus, the data communication of the WSHN is well-secured in this work through multi-level authentication and improved cryptography techniques.

VisioSignNet: A Dual-Interactive Neural Network for enhanced traffic sign detection

Effective traffic sign detection is crucial for the safety and operational efficiency of autonomous vehicle navigation systems, particularly in dynamically changing environments. Addressing the primary challenges of long-range pixel dependencies and enhancing the detectability of small objects in complex scenes, we present VisioSignNet: A Dual-Interactive Neural Network designed for enhanced traffic sign detection. This architecture incorporates Local and Global Interactive Modules (LGIM) and Enhancing Channel and Space Interaction (ECSI) modules. The LGIM is engineered to balance local and global feature interactions, while the ECSI optimizes the interchange of information across channel and spatial dimensions. Their synergistic interaction not only enhances the perceptual field at early processing stages but also significantly improves the recognition of small-scale, critical traffic signs. Evaluated on the TT100K and GTSDB datasets, VisioSignNet achieved mean average precision (mAP) scores of 90.5% and 97%, respectively, with a model size of 26M parameters. Its enhanced variant, VisioSignNet_l, with 34M parameters, reached mAP scores of 93.2% and 97.8%. These outcomes substantiate VisioSignNet’s efficacy in tackling the complexities of traffic sign detection, confirming its potential as a robust solution in the field of autonomous driving technologies.

The Use of Blockchain Technology in Public Health: Lessons Learned.

Blockchain is a new technology utilized to develop creative solutions in different industries, such as health care. Blockchain is a decentralized and distributed encrypted system made up of interconnected blocks containing transaction-related information that can be shared with network participants. A blockchain network is utilized in the healthcare industry to safeguard and share patient information among hospitals, pharmacies, and doctors' diagnostic labs. Blockchain applications can precisely identify serious and potentially harmful mistakes within the medical sector. The objective is to comprehensively explore the potential use, present implementations, challenges, and future possibilities of blockchain in health management systems, and to provide information to researchers, policymakers, and practitioners on how to utilize new technology to enhance data security, efficiency, decentralization of data, authenticity of data, transparency, and verifiability of data compared to conventional databases in health management systems. Key review findings for blockchain technology in public health surveillance might include enhanced data security and accessibility of data, data storage and sharing, ensuring tamper-proof records are accessed, empowering patients, and improving overall healthcare outcomes. Its immutability proves to be important for securing healthcare data. It offers a safeguard for health records and clinical trial outcomes and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. This evaluation focuses on how it has transformed data protection, improved workflows, and safe health information interchange. Despite obstacles, further study and standardization initiatives have the potential to transform health care and guarantee patient care that is resilient and trustworthy. In the present healthcare industry, blockchain technology plays an essential role in healthcare systems. It canlead to computerized processes for collecting and validating data, accurate information collected from multiple sources, anddata that are fixed, transparent to misuse, and secure, with a reduced risk of digital crimes. In addition, the study provides a detailed analysis of the potential applications for including the use of blockchain technology in transforming public health surveillance.

Available on the latest research progress of clean energy and power generation technology, this paper volume gathers a bunch of papers collected from 2023 8th International Conference on Clean Energy and Power Generation Technology (CEPGT 2023), held via virtual form in Zhuhai, China during December 15th to 17th, 2023.The Conference was attended by about 100 delegates around the globe. It is our great pleasure to have you at the 2023 9th International Forum on Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Materials (ICMTEM 2023), which took place in Shenyang, China from December 15th to 17th, 2023. ICMTEM 2023 was successfully held and received unanimous praise from various experts and scholars all over the world.ICMTEM 2023 existed as an international forum for academic communications between experts and scholars in the fields of Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Materials. It promoted the research and developmental activities in related fields and scientific information interchange among all the participants, establishing connections for them to find global partners for potential collaboration.After months of well preparation and hard work, the Proceedings of ICMTEM 2023 covering a bunch of papers, having been checked through rigorous review processes to meet the requirements of publication, are smoothly published. These papers feature but are not limited to the following topics: Electronic Materials, Advanced Forming Manufacturing and Equipment, Industrial Robotics and Automation, Dynamic Mechanical Analysis, Optimization and Control, etc.We had about 150 participations both as speakers and participants, including researchers, industrial experts, teachers, students, and other practitioners. Evaluating Puncture and Non-puncture for the Turbo Code Model based the on AWGN Channel with 16-QAM

In general, a 5G new radio network is defined by three primary utilization situations, namely upgraded versatile broadband, ultra-reliable, and low latency interchanges of information, as well as huge machine-type correspondences. These utilizations require improved throughput, inertness, dependability contrasted, and a 4G framework. As a coding plan for information, 5G Turbo codes attain high throughput, a variable code rate, and length, and crossover programmed rehash with good error-detecting capability. The execution boundaries of 5G advancements are normal and are tens and thousands of times better compared with 4G. In this paper, the evaluations of puncturing and non-puncturing for turbo code depending on the minimization of penetrating of efficient pieces are discussed. Event-triggered predictive control for cooperation-competition multi-agent systems under DoS attacks

This paper concerns the bipartite consensus problem of multi-agent systems(MASs) with competitive- cooperative network topology under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. Firstly, this work extensively analyzes the competitive phenomena that may exist in the information interchange of agents in contrast to the single cooperative behavior between agents. Based on this, some necessary conditions are provided for the system to attain the bipartite consensus. In addition, the event-triggered mechanism (ETM) effectively lowers unnecessary information sharing between agents and eliminates Zeno behavior. Furthermore, the predictive method provides the system with exceptional resistance against common energy-limited DoS attacks and the ability to compensate for information loss caused by DoS attacks. Finally, a numerical simulation proves that the proposed approach is feasible.

The 2024 2nd International Conference on Food Biotechnology and Environmental Technology (FBET 2024) was held on February 24-25, 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey. This event was attended by researchers from various area with papers mainly focused on food chemistry, nutritional science, agricultural technology, biotechnology, eco-technology, clean technologies, pollution control and environmental sustainability. The primary goal of FBET 2024 is to promote research and developmental activities in food biotechnology and environmental sciences. Another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working worldwide. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in related areas. A total of 78 papers were submitted to FBET 2024, and most of them were approved by the conference committee members and international reviewers in a double-blind evaluation process. The conference was held entirely online over two days, which included the four session, four 30-minute keynote speeches, and twelve author presentation sessions. From the talks and presentations, it was evident that our research community remains active and produces cutting-edge research. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of the entire conference committee. Their advice and support were fundamental to preparing for the conference. An algorithm based on 6D fractional order hyperchaotic system and knight tour algorithm to encrypt image

Abstract The security guarantee of data transmission is becoming more crucial as the frequency of information interchange rises. Ensuring the security of images is essential since they serve as a vital transmission medium. This research suggests an image encryption method that combines the knight tour algorithm with a 6D fractional order hyperchaotic system. First, chaotic sequences are produced using a fractional order hyperchaotic system, which is then utilized to index order and jumble the entire image. To retrieve the image after the second scrambling, choose the knight tour beginning point and run ten rounds of knight tour algorithms on the scrambled image. Thirdly, to maximize the efficiency of picture encryption, employ diffusion methods. The outcomes of the imaging experiment were lastly tested and assessed. The security of the image can be successfully guaranteed by a high-dimensional fractional order hyperchaotic system. This is because its high dimensionality gives it a larger key space than the low dimensional system. This is why it can resist attacks more effectively. After a series of evaluation experiments, it is obvious that this encryption scheme has good encryption performance.
