Telemetry to solve dynamic analysis of a distributed system

In the modern software development world, implementing distributed solutions has become quite common due to the flexibility it brings to big companies. The downside is that when developing such systems, especially in many teams, global design problems may not be obvious and lead to a slowdown in the development process or even problems with the location of errors or degradation of overall system performance. In addition, the timely reaction to system degradation is complicated by the distributed nature of the architecture; while manually configuring rules for reporting problematic situations can be time-consuming and still incomplete, automatic detection of possible system anomalies will give engineers (especially Software Reliability Engineers) the focus on problems. For this reason, applications that can dynamically analyse the system for problems have great potential. Currently, the topic of using telemetry for system analysis is actively studied and gaining traction, so further research is valuable. The work aims to theoretically and practically prove the possibility of using telemetry to analyse a distributed information system and detect harmful architectural practices and anomalous events. To do this, firstly, a detailed overview of the problems related to the topic and the feasibility of using telemetry is provided; the next section briefly describes the history of the development of monitoring systems and the key points of the latest OpenTelemetry standard, reviews popular application performance monitoring systems, and defines innovative features to be further researched. The main part includes an explanation of the approach used to collect and process telemetry, a reasoning behind the usage of Neo4j as a data storage solution, a practical overview of graph theory algorithms that help in the analysis of the collected data, and a description outlining how the PCA algorithm is employed to detect unusual situations in the whole system instead of individual metrics. The results provide an example of using the software presented with Neo4j Bloom to visualise and analyse the data collected over several hours from the OpenTelemetry Demo test system. The last section contains additional remarks on the results of the study.

Fault Location Method Based on Dynamic Operation and Maintenance Map and Common Alarm Points Analysis

Under a distributed information system, the scale of various operational components such as applications, operating systems, databases, servers, and networks is immense, with intricate access relationships. The silo effect of each professional is prominent, and the linkage mechanism is insufficient, making it difficult to locate the infrastructure components that cause exceptions under a particular application. Current research only plays a role in local scenarios, and its accuracy and generalization are still very limited. This paper proposes a novel fault location method based on dynamic operation maps and alarm common point analysis. During the fault period, various alarm entities are associated with dynamic operation maps, and alarm common points are obtained based on graph search addressing methods, covering deployment relationship common points, connection common points (physical and logical), and access flow common points. This method, compared with knowledge graph approaches, eliminates the complex process of knowledge graph construction, making it more concise and efficient. Furthermore, in contrast to indicator correlation analysis methods, this approach supplements with configuration correlation information, resulting in more precise positioning. Through practical validation, its fault hit rate exceeds 82%, which is significantly better than the existing main methods.

Model of current threats to security of confiden-tial data in divisional information systems

The paper proposes a model for determining actual threats to the information security of distributed information systems, based on algorithms of fuzzy inference and the theory of fuzzy neural systems, unlike known ones, uses sufficient and necessary indicators, excludes expert errors, increases the detection of the number of actual threats to information security of distributed systems by 5 %, reduces the cost of purchasing information protection equipment from 15 to 30%. It takes into account the following factors: the IT infrastructure of the distributed information system, the capabilities of attackers and their level of motivation in the distributed information system, the list of existing protection tools in the distributed information system.
 The proposed approach differs from existing ones in the following: lack of involvement of highly qualified specialists in the field of information security; the process is automated, has a low computational complexity; absence of deficiencies in expert assessments; allows you to determine the list of current information security threats in information systems of various classes and types.
 The task of ensuring the security of confidential information becomes the most urgent, which is due to the growth of computer attacks and leaks of information, which are reflected in the statistical data on the commission of crimes in the field of high technologies, the growth of criminal activity using modern communication devices and the Internet.
 Existing methods of modeling current threats to information security and assessing the effectiveness of the information protection system cannot be used at all stages of the life cycle of distributed information systems - they do not take into account the following indicators in the complex: IT infrastructure of distributed information systems, current threats to information security, security requirements for confidential information, a list of means of protecting confidential information and their value as important indicators when solving these problems.
 In order to achieve the goals of ensuring the security of confidential information, it is necessary to: organize the effective creation of an information protection system (information security system), effective modeling (identification of the list) of current threats to information security, identification of the current violator, and also provide the opportunity to conduct a qualitative assessment of the effectiveness of the information security (protection) system.
 One of the most important tasks of ensuring the security of confidential information is the assessment of the effectiveness of the protection (security) system. In this regard, the goal of the work (research) is to improve the quality of the evaluation of the effectiveness of the protection (security) systems of distributed information systems by determining sufficient and necessary evaluation indicators using modern (promising) information technologies that allow the most effective solution of the following tasks: determination operating parameters of adaptive production fuzzy neural systems, which are most suitable for solving the tasks, application of Data Science technologies in data processing, fuzzy output algorithms.

Kondisi Sistem Informasi Geografis Terhadap Jumlah Ternak Di Kabupaten Pati Tahun 2013 Dan 2014 Berbasis Webgis

Abstract. Most of the livestock in Pati are still smallholder farms and are not yet large companies. Pati Regency is a support for national beef production, not only for Pati cattle production, but also as a producer of ducklings, chickens and dairy cows. This WEBGIS-based livestock distribution information system in each region was created to support or make it easier for the government and the public to find out developments in the number of livestock products in Pati Regency. There are various sub-districts where livestock output is low due to climatic conditions, feed supply, economic stability for breeders, as well as environmental changes and urbanization. With data on the distribution of livestock products obtained from the Pati Regency BPS data from 2013 and 2014, it is made based on WEBGIS which is able to present distribution information in the form of tables per sub-district and the areas that produce the most livestock.

Development of Fish Distribution Information System for Digital Virtual Assitant based on Harvesine with LoRA Node

The pressing issue of suboptimal and inefficient traditional fishing practices among local communities. Traditional fishermen often operate with inadequate equipment, resulting in less-than-optimal fishing outcomes. In this context, the lack of modern tools and techniques hinders the effectiveness of fish capture. Addressing these challenges is crucial for enhancing the productivity and sustainability of traditional fishing practices. The study aims to develop an advanced Fish Distribution Information System tailored for a Digital Virtual Assistant using the Haversine method and LoRA nodes. This system provide instantaneous, location-specific details about fish distribution and involves designing a data logger serving as repository for travel histories, utilizing a website as the user interface interfacing with a Leaflet map in a Geographic Information System (GIS). The Haversine method is employed for precise distance computations between LoRA Gateway, information about fish distribution, and unfavorable weather conditions within the specified area. the resukt show that The distance displayed on the website with the haversine method with excel calculation comparison produces an error calculation of 0.157%, while the percentage error for GPS latitude accuracy is 0.000116% and longitude percentage is 0.000002%. RSSI performance at LoRA ranges from -57dBM at a distance of 50m and -121dBM at a distance of 1500m.

User Acceptance Testing through Blackbox Evaluation for Corn Distribution Information System

Corn Distribution Information System in Bandar Lampung has witnessed a significant surge in interest, highlighting the importance of ensuring system reliability and functionality. This research endeavors to investigate and enhance these aspects through the application of the black box testing approach, focusing on the user-centric perspective of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Black box testing, a methodology emphasizing system functionality without delving into internal structures, is complemented by UAT to provide comprehensive evaluation. In executing 27 study cases to evaluate the system, 22 patients demonstrated proper functionality, while 5 issues were identified. Notably, 4 issues pertained to the unavailability of the export function to CSV, and 1 patient encountered difficulties with road letter generation facilities. The discussion elucidates that UAT through Black Box proves to be a valuable approach, effectively bridging the methodological gap of traditional black box and providing insightful input from end users. Furthermore, this methodology successfully identified 5 focal points that can serve as development suggestions for the company's system, previously undiscovered. In conclusion, the study underscores the efficiency of integrating UAT with black box in enhancing Corn Distribution Information System's dependability and functionality. Identified issues shed light on areas for improvement, emphasizing the need for ongoing research in system testing methodologies. Future studies are recommended to explore the integration of UAT with white box testing, iterative testing for bug identification, and comprehensive security testing within the system network. This approach ensures a holistic evaluation, addressing potential limitations and contributing to the continuous refinement of the information system.

Методика организации процесса мониторинга распределенных информационных систем

This article is devoted to the methodology of organizing the process of monitoring of distributed information systems. The article considers the general concept of building the process of information security monitoring. Special attention is paid to such disadvantages of distributed systems as problems of system administration, problems of limited scalability of distributed systems and problems of software portability. It was concluded that at present there is no unified approach to eliminate these disadvantages when building a monitoring process. The model of decentralized distributed system for which the methodology of monitoring process organization is developed is given. Three approaches to the organization of monitoring process of distributed information systems are described, namely the organization of monitoring of network activity of information system, the organization of monitoring of host activity of information system and mixed approach. The mixed approach based on monitoring of network and host activity is used in the methodology. The process of prioritization of sources of information security events is considered, which includes the assessment of IS risks, identification of actual IS threats and identification of critical assets of the organization. As a result, a methodology for organizing the process of monitoring distributed information systems is proposed, which consists of four stages: risk calculation, identification of actual threats, prioritization of information security event sources and connection of selected sources to the information security event monitoring system.

Power Supply Reliability Analysis of Distribution Systems Considering Data Transmission Quality of Distribution Automation Terminals

A distribution automation system is the integration of physical power distribution systems and information systems. Its information system guarantees the safe operation and reliable power supply of physical systems by monitoring, collecting and transmitting information. In the information system, the remote terminal unit of distribution automation is the hub of the information system, connecting it to the physical power system. Considering the unreliability of terminal information transmission in the information system, this paper aims to build a model to quantitatively evaluate the impact of unreliable transmission information on the power supply reliability of distribution systems. Firstly, the m-segment and n-connection unit model of distribution feeders is established, and then, the power supply reliability indices in the process of handling feeder terminal unit error are analyzed and calculated under the configuration modes of “three-remote” and “two-remote” of remote terminals. Then, considering the impact of a transmission error in the information system, the reliability index calibration model under the condition of unreliable information transmission is established. Finally, a case study is presented to illustrate how the proposed model is implemented.

Adoption of Quantum Computing in Economic Analysis: Potential and Challenges in Distributed Information Systems

INTRODUCTION: Quantum computing technology has become a center of attention in various scientific disciplines, including economic analysis. The adoption of quantum computing in economic analysis offers tremendous potential to improve the processing of complex economic data and provide deep insights. However, the use of quantum technology in the context of distributed information systems also raises several challenges, including data security and the limitations of quantum technology. OBJECTIVE: This research aims to investigate the implications of adopting quantum computing in economic analysis, with a focus on distributed information systems. METHODS: This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach, with data derived from the results of relevant research and previous studies. The collected data will be processed and analyzed to gain a deeper understanding of the adoption of quantum computing in economic analysis in distributed information systems. RESULTS: This research then finds that the adoption of quantum computing in economic analysis has the potential to increase efficiency, accuracy, and depth of economic insight. However, limitations of current quantum technologies, including quantum errors, limited scale of operations, and data security issues, limit their applications. In the long term, research and development will be key to overcoming these obstacles and maximizing the potential of this technology in economic analysis. CONCLUSION: The long-term implications include increased economic competitiveness and significant changes in the way economic decision-making is carried out, assuming that ethical and regulatory issues are also carefully considered.

The paper represents all the stages of designing, architecting, and developing cloud-based key-value storage. This work aims to bring new approaches to distributed data systems. The authors focus on the security and productivity of the project as well as security and maintainability. The authors have studied the use of hash tables in a multi-threaded environment. Architectural approaches and tools have been described. The general structure of the key-value storage server has been presented. The server algorithm has been presented. Our research delves into the intricate nuances of utilizing hash tables in a multi-threaded environment, shedding light on the intricacies and challenges of managing concurrent access to key-value data structures. The authors have explored the trade-offs between lock-free designs and traditional locking approaches.

An approach to building automated control of multi-tenant components of information systems is described. The main advantages of using discretizing multi-tenant shells for building distributed information systems are reflected and justified. Methods for managing the infrastructure of a distributed system as a code are given. Technologies and their settings for automating management at different stages of the life cycle of a software system built on the basis of discretizing multi-tenant shells are presented. The solution to the problem of dual use of the process manager in a container based on the Linux operating system in a manual and automated version in the context of managing life cycle stages using the CI / CD approach is described. A technique for modeling weakly coupled electronic circuits based on the technology of calculating large electronic circuits in parts is proposed, by selecting weakly coupled subcircuits between which there are no inductive connections and the condition for the concentration of control and controlled variable dependent sources within a separate subcircuit is met. It is shown that the implementation of the diacoptic approach to modeling large loosely coupled circuits significantly increases the productivity of the computational process, which is especially important in the development of distributed computer-aided design systems. It is proposed to build and transform the description of the simulated circuit to use generalized signal graphs that display the equations of the circuit in a generalized cause-and-effect form.

Ensuring security in distributed information systems: major aspects

Ensuring the security of distributed information systems is a critical task since these systems are used primarily to process and store large amounts of sensitive information such as financial data, medical records, personal data, etc. Information in the world is one of the most important resources of society, and without its protection, new information technologies can violate the private life of people and activities of various organizations. In the era of Big Data, the problem of protecting sensitive data is even more aggravated. And this is despite the large global security spending that organizations and companies around the world incur, including in order to meet the requirements of relevant laws and other regulations governing the activities of companies in modern conditions. To solve it, it is necessary to use a combination of legislative, organizational measures and software and hardware. Therefore, in the current situation, taking into account: (a) the current state of development of technologies of distributed information systems and its fleeting nature; (b) scientific and practical achievements in the field of information security; (c) the qualifications of attackers who are constantly improving the capabilities of malicious influence; (d) provisions and recommendations of various regulations-legal acts, information systems specialists in many cases, in order to ensure the reliable safe functioning of the latter, need appropriate knowledge of security issues. That is, knowledge of current modern methods, techniques and means of ensuring security. This paper is precisely aimed at providing such knowledge. It concisely presents a fairly wide range of issues related to the security of distributed information systems.

Ultra reliability and massive connectivity provision in integrated internet of military things (IoMT) based on tactical datalink

One of the major challenges arising in internet of military things (IoMT) is accommodating massive connectivity while providing guaranteed quality of service (QoS) in terms of ultra-high reliability. In this regard, this paper presents a class of code-domain nonorthogonal multiple accesses (NOMAs) for uplink ultra reliable networking of massive IoMT based on tactical datalink such as Link-16 and joint tactical information distribution system (JTIDS). In the considered scenario, a satellite equipped with Nr antennas servers K devices including vehicles, drones, ships, sensors, handset radios, etc. Nonorthogonal coded modulation, a special form of multiple input multiple output (MIMO)-NOMA is proposed. The discussion starts with evaluating the output signal to interference-plus-noise (SINR) of receiver filter, leading to the unveiling of a closed-form expression for overloading systems as the number of users is significantly larger than the number of devices admitted such that massive connectivity is rendered. The expression allows for the development of simple yet successful interference suppression based on power allocation and phase shaping techniques that maximizes the sum rate since it is equivalent to fixed-point programming as can be proved. The proposed design is exemplified by nonlinear modulation schemes such as minimum shift keying (MSK) and Gaussian MSK (GMSK), two pivotal modulation formats in IoMT standards such as Link-16 and JITDS. Numerical results show that near capacity performance is offered. Fortunately, the performance is obtained using simple forward error corrections (FECs) of higher coding rate than existing schemes do, while the transmit power is reduced by 6 dB. The proposed design finds wide applications not only in IoMT but also in deep space communications, where ultra reliability and massive connectivity is a keen concern.

Development of a methodology for the protection of artificial intelligence systems in distributed information systems

This article is devoted to the methodology for the construction of artificial intelligent systems for information security tasks. It is planned to protect the artificial intelligence itself and the information that this device will process. The task is large-scale in its magnitude and the author of this text will try to present not just a concept, but rather an idea of how to achieve the goal of this result. By the result we will understand the final construction of a secure AI created for the organization of information security.

Adoption of blockchain as an open accounting information system in Vietnam: A triple-entry accounting approach

Blockchain technology has emerged as an indispensable force driving economic development across various sectors in Vietnam. However, prior research in the realm of blockchain technology has predominantly focused on areas such as logistics, journalism, and banking, neglecting the pivotal domains of accounting and auditing. Recognizing this theoretical gap and the significant role played by accounting and auditing in economic systems, this paper endeavors to augment our understanding of blockchain technology through the lens of a novel "triple-entry accounting method." Additionally, it seeks to assess the level of acceptance of this potentially transformative innovation within the Vietnamese business landscape. Blockchain, renowned for its decentralized architecture and distributed data system, represents a fundamental departure from conventional accounting practices. It functions as an open accounting information system, wherein data is distributed among multiple computers with identical copies, devoid of central administration but validated by a network of participants. Drawing upon responses from a sample of 225 participants and employing statistical analysis with SPSS, this study investigates attitudes and intentions regarding the adoption of blockchain technology in the field of accounting in Vietnam. The results of this analysis reveal a positive correlation between four variables-perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, comparability, and complexity-and the attitude toward blockchain application, further positively influencing the intention to use it. However, the variable of Perceived Risk does not exhibit statistical significance. These findings underscore the necessity of establishing intelligent accounting procedures through blockchain adoption and underscore the importance of understanding factors influencing attitudes and intentions to enhance the widespread acceptance of this innovation in the Vietnamese business context.

A Possibilistic Information Fusion-Based Unsupervised Feature Selection Method Using Information Quality Measures

The main goal of most information quality (IQ)-based measures is to combine data provided by multiple information sources to enhance the quality of information essential for decision makers to perform their tasks. However, there is few work to fuse multi-source information from the perspective of possibility distribution (PD) and use IQ as the evaluation criteria for feature selection. The PD is one of important concepts in possibility theory, which is a generally acknowledged method for describing a kind of uncertain knowledge. In this paper, we propose a novel representation model of possibility distributions based on fuzzy multisets, namely, a possibility distribution information system (PDIS). Then, several IQ measures are defined in the PDIS, including Gini entropy, compatibility, conflict, credibility and separability degrees. In view of this, a minimal-separability-minimal-uncertainty-based unsupervised feature selection algorithm (UmSMU) is designed. The proposed UmSMU can sufficiently fuse multiple possibilistic information. Meanwhile, the selected features maintain as much information as possible while minimizing the uncertainty of information. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs well, especially when it comes to selecting fewer features and improving performance.
