Analysis on the Development Path of Innovative Agricultural Industrialization from the Perspective of Rural Revitalization

With the continuous promotion of the strategy of rural revitalization in China, the development of rural agricultural industrialization has gradually become a key link in China's social and economic development. Based on the significance of the development of innovative agricultural industrialization, this study aims at solving the problems faced by the current development of agricultural industrialization from the perspective of rural revitalization, such as poor awareness of industrialization development, insufficient labor force in rural areas, backward infrastructure for industrialization development and less investment in industrialization development. In order to provide a useful reference for the development of innovative agricultural industrialization under the background of rural revitalization in China, some strategies were put forward, such as actively publicizing the concept of industrialization development, implementing the policy of talent introduction, strengthening the infrastructure construction of industrialization in rural areas and strengthening the financial support for agricultural industrialization.

A study on the relationship between high-quality development of the logistics industry and rural revitalization across different levels of industrial structure

Due to regional differences in industrial structure levels, the development of the logistics industry in rural areas faces various challenges and opportunities. The objective is to explore how the high-quality development of the logistics industry influences rural revitalization at various tiers of industrial structure. It employs a benchmark regression model to dissect the influence that the logistics industry's high-quality development exerts on fostering rural revitalization. Moreover, a panel threshold model is employed to examines this impact across different levels of industrial structure. It demonstrates that enhancing the logistics industry significantly supports rural revitalization, with its impact varying across different levels of industrial structure. Hence, it is imperative to develop customized strategies for the logistics industry that account for the varying industrial structure in rural areas. It emphasizes the logistics industry's role in facilitating rural growth and recommends adopting tailored development strategies corresponding to the industrial structure's evolution to boost rural revitalization. Despite valuable insights, this study has limitations in reflecting regional trends and exploring other factors beyond the direct impact of logistics on rural revitalization, pointing to potential avenues for future research.

Factors affecting the downturn of traditional livestock husbandry in local communities of northwestern rangelands of Iran

Currently, a combination of natural and human factors has led to the lack of cost-effective production, resulting in the downturn of traditional animal husbandry (DTLH) in rural regions. This research aims to investigate the factors contributing to the DTLH in indigenous communities in northwestern Iran. The statistical population consisted of pastoralists residing in the villages of Namin-Ardabil, Iran. The research method employed was descriptive-analytical, and a questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. The sample size was determined by selecting approximately 5–10% of households in each village, preferably the household head. Friedman's test was utilized to prioritize the most significant factors influencing DTLH. The findings reveals that the most crucial economic criteria contributing to the DTLH were “the high cost of providing inputs and fodder required for livestock (mean rank = 11.12),” “more economic opportunities and access to well-paying employment opportunities in the city (mean rank = 8.99)”, and “low profit from livestock farming in the rangeland (mean rank = 10.60)”. Moreover, the most important social criteria were “uncertainty regarding the future well-being of children and the social and economic situation in the village (mean rank = 14.12)”, “motivation for academic and career development in urban areas (mean rank = 14.10)”, and “access to specialized and professional training opportunities in cities (mean rank = 13.80)”. Furthermore, the most crucial ecological criteria impacting the DTLH were “drought” (mean ran = 7.96)” and “non-implementation of range management plans and grazing permits” (mean rank = 6.07)”. In general, the results indicated that the ecological criteria had the highest impact on the DTLH, followed by social and economic criteria, with values of 41.1%, 34.6%, and 24.29%, respectively. Overall, understanding the challenges faced by traditional livestock husbandry and identifying the factors contributing to its decline is crucial for developing effective strategies to support and sustain this industry in rural areas.

Analyzing the transportation infrastructure–rural industry integration relationship in China

Transportation infrastructure is crucial to China’s economic growth because it substantially contributes to the holistic development of rural primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. This study innovatively examines transportation infrastructure and urbanization levels to explore, both theoretically and empirically, their relationship with the holistic development of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural China, and the mediating role of urbanization on this relationship. We employed fixed-effects models, the entropy weight approach, mixed regression, and generalized method of moments to analyze the data of 30 provinces across China from 2013 to 2020. The results indicate that the construction of transportation infrastructure directly fosters the collective advancement of such industries in rural areas and that urbanization partially mediates the transportation infrastructure–rural industry integration relationship. However, the western region shows disparities in the integrated development of these sectors. Further analysis reveals that foreign investments amplify the positive influence of transportation infrastructure on rural industry integration. Essentially, the enhancement of rural transportation infrastructure, promotion of urbanization, implementation of strategic planning, and strengthening of support mechanisms are crucial aspects in the comprehensive development of rural industries and the achievement of rural revitalization in China.

Evaluating the Effect of Fiscal Support for Agriculture on Three-Industry Integration in Rural China

The integration of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural areas, known as three-industry integration, is a crucial strategy for developing rural industries and implementing the rural revitalization initiative in China. The government’s fiscal support for agriculture serves as a cornerstone for the sustainable development of agriculture and rural regions. This study investigates the mechanisms through which fiscal support for agriculture facilitates the integration of the rural three-industry sectors by driving industrial innovation, enhancing the circulation of production factors, and optimizing resource utilization in rural areas. Using panel data from 30 provinces in China spanning from 2008 to 2020, we evaluate the level of three-industry integration in rural areas using an entropy method and analyze the effects of fiscal support for agriculture on this integration. Our findings reveal that: (1) fiscal support for agriculture significantly promotes the incorporated development of rural three-industry integration in China by acting as a catalyst for horizontal and vertical integration; (2) fiscal support enhances rural infrastructure quality, fosters market connectivity, and attracts business clusters, while also optimizing factor markets and facilitating the efficient allocation of land, finance, and resources, thereby enabling new business entities, such as leading enterprises, to benefit from economies of scale and to expand the rural industrial value chain; (3) the effects of fiscal support for agriculture exhibit significant regional and agricultural development heterogeneity, with Central China and major agricultural provinces demonstrating the most pronounced role in promoting rural three-industry integration.

The aim of this study was to assess the contribution of home industries in Kota Pari Village to employment generation. Home industries play a vital role in expanding job opportunities, providing essential economic services to the community, reducing unemployment, and enhancing people's well-being. This study utilized library research methods, gathering information from reference centers and scientific journals to directly access and analyze data. A more efficient industrial sector at the national level necessitates the presence of small companies within the manufacturing industry. The growth of home industries in rural areas can boost the local economy through diverse business activities and community skill development. The research findings indicated that prioritizing the industrial sector in the economic structure leads to a positive impact on poverty reduction. Additionally, focusing on creating more job opportunities is crucial for poverty alleviation. Moreover, facilitating the transition from agriculture to the industrial sector is essential. Lastly, managing population growth is also imperative in conjunction with these efforts.

Day-Ahead scheduling of rural integrated energy systems based on distributionally robust optimization theory

The integration of diverse industries in rural areas is an important step in building a smart countryside and achieving rural revitalization. Aiming at the problem of high energy consumption and pollution in agricultural production parks under the traditional energy structure, a new rural comprehensive energy park distribution robust scheduling model for water containing product breeding greenhouses is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a greenhouse model for aquaculture based on the principle of thermal flow is established. Secondly, considering energy production, consumption and storage, a rural integrated energy system model is established. In response to the uncertainty of residential electricity load, solar radiation, and environmental temperature within the park, a distributed robust optimization model is established using Kullback Leibler divergence. Finally, a numerical simulation is conducted using energy data from a real rural aquaculture park. The results show that compared to agricultural production parks under traditional energy models, the new rural comprehensive energy system model proposed in this paper fully integrates rural resources, reduces daily operating costs by 74.832 %, and reduces total carbon emissions by 33.75 %, providing theoretical support for rural industrial structure adjustment and energy transformation.

he Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan also known as the self-reliant India Mission when the entire global economy was stuck in the clutches of the COVID-19 pandemic, at that time this mission was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister PM Modi on 12 May 2020 with a new vision. This mission was helped in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic to manage the economic disruption in the country. This mission came as a ray of hope in the darkness of this pandemic. Social Life Cycle Assessment of a Coffee Production Management System in a Rural Area: A Regional Evaluation of the Coffee Industry in West Java, Indonesia

The demand for coffee in the local and global markets has encouraged massive production at upstream and downstream levels. The socioeconomic impact of coffee production still presents an issue, primarily related to the social benefit and economic value added for farmers. This study aims to identify the social impact of the coffee industry in rural areas in three different coffee industry management systems. Many coffee industries exist in rural areas, with various management systems: farmer group organizations, middlemen, and smallholder private coffee production. This study performed the social organization life cycle assessment to identify the social impact of the coffee industry in rural areas according to the management systems. The results indicated that the coffee industry managed by farmers is superior in providing a positive social impact to four stakeholders: workers, the local community, society, and suppliers, as indicated by the highest social impact scores of 0.46 for the workers, 0.8 for the local community, 0.54 for society, and 0.615 for the suppliers. The private coffee industry provides the highest social impact to consumers (0.43), and the middlemen were very loyal to the shareholders, with a total social impact score of 0.544. According to this social sustainability index analysis, the coffee industry managed by the farmer group has the highest endpoint of social impact at 0.64, which is categorized as the “sustainable” status. Meanwhile, the coffee industry managed by private companies and middlemen is categorized as “neutral or sufficient”. The coffee industry should implement improvement strategies to increase their social impact to all stakeholders in their business supply chain.

The rapid development of information and communication technology today, including in the field of E-commerce, has had a significant impact on various sectors, including the livestock industry in rural areas. The livestock industry plays an important role in the local economy, and to increase the efficiency of the sale of livestock products, this study proposes the adoption of a web-based E-commerce system. This system is intended to replace traditional sales methods whose scope and effectiveness are limited. With E-commerce, farmers can market livestock products online, expand markets and increase income. On the consumer side, they can buy livestock products without having to go directly to the farm, helping to optimize time and labor efficiency. This study used an R&D (Research and Development) approach with interviews, observations and literature review. The development of the E-commerce system is carried out in a Waterfall approach to create a platform that provides objective information, supports the purchase and sale of livestock products quickly, efficiently and accurately. accurate, thereby bringing benefits to the seller and the buyer.

The status of eucalypt products’ trade in western Gurage watersheds and its contribution to construction industry in rural areas and urban centers

A marketing channel is a marketing process that performs several functions by bridging the gap between production and consumption. The analysis of marketing channels provides a systematic knowledge of the flow of goods or services from their production areas to the final market or end-users. The information on eucalypt products’ trade in the study area and the country is vacant prior to this study and it will fill the research gap in this regard. The specific objectives were to assess the trend of eucalypt trade and to examine its contribution to the construction industry in rural areas and urban centers. The study employed the purposive sampling method. The main reason for selecting this sampling method is to select well-experienced eucalypt traders and to avoid the inclusion of non-eucalypt tree farmers and to keep the validity of the representative samples (to cover large villages) Focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and critical; observations are the major tools of data collection. The result shows that eucalypt products' trade (marketing channel) is accelerating in the study area due to two reasons. Firstly, attractive markets demand due to booming constriction in urban centers within and out of the study area. Secondly, asbestos and furniture factories which are found mainly in Addis Ababa are the next destinations. These destinations particularly those located out of the study area purchase products from the third suppliers (their adjacent eucalypt traders). Hence the first suppliers (farmers) sell to the second suppliers (local towns' eucalypt traders) and finally, these agents sell to the third suppliers (major towns' eucalypt traders). Eucalypt products are one of the sources of tax revenue to the Zone next to chat. The tax stations found in various parts of the woredas are busy mainly in controlling and taxing these two products. Farmers benefited significantly by selling poles of various stages to urban–rural areas and centers. To sustain the market facility and thereby benefits from eucalypt trade, eucalypt-related factories should be established in the areas. Households have to direct sales to the end-users to avoid unnecessary price deflation by middlemen.

This study is a strategic analysis of the current condition of empowering the coconut industry in North Sulawesi which is reflected in the performance of national exports. The hypothesis that has been developed refers to the comparative strength of the competitiveness of countries in the Southeast Asian region in facing the Asia Pacific free trade era as a turbolence effect of world free trade openness which has caused international market competition to become increasingly extreme due to the rapid advancement of information technology. Vibration of the rural economy has significance for the resilience of a country's national economy. On the other hand, open access to world information that has reached rural areas is not fragmented by the touch of technological advances in the coconut processing industry in rural areas and is still trapped by its traditional stigma. The analysis of this paper elaborates on the implementation of value engineering innovations in downstream integrated coconut processing on a rural industrial scale as a breakthrough in efforts to accelerate the distribution of skills and welfare of rural farming communities in improving the final quality of downstreaming people's coconut products, as a contribution to bridging the reality of inequality in economic empowerment and applied technology in rural North Sulawesi.

Ecological Oriented Urban-Rural Integration and Improvement of Living Environment in County Space-Taking Fuping as an Example

County-level development has been the focus of China's new urbanization strategy, as well as the key to urban-rural integration and rural revitalization. As the urbanization level of major cities gradually stabilizes, China is gradually entering the stage of county-town urbanization. This article believes that the primary task of integrating county-town is to handle the urban-rural transition zone well. Firstly, this area can supplement and improve the functions of the county seat. Secondly, the environment and industries in rural areas can be extended and developed. Therefore, in the process of county urbanization, it is necessary to comprehensively consider social, environmental, and economic benefits, with the goal of improving the quality of human settlements. This study takes the Shichuan River region in Fuping County as the research object, analyzes the current situation of the region, and proposes a planning model that should be ecological oriented and comprehensively considered. At the same time, this model has been promoted and applied. More than 80% of people in the questionnaire survey expressed satisfaction with this ecological development model.

Eco-efficiency study of vegetable industry based on super-efficient SBM model

In recent years, China has vigorously promoted the development of industrial ecology. Vegetable industry, as a key industry in rural areas, takes the road of ecological development is the general trend. Based on the background of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, this paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation index system of vegetable industry ecology based on ecological efficiency. This paper use super efficiency SBM model to analyze the ecological development of vegetable industry in Shouguang City from 2005 to 2019. The study found that : The overall ecological efficiency showed an upward trend.

Research on effects of integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural areas of developing countries: an approach of rural capital subsidies

ABSTRACT We set up a four-sector general equilibrium model and a rural industrial integration indicator to investigate impacts of capital subsidies given to capital-using sectors in rural industrial chain on rural industrial integration and social welfare. Our findings are as follows: Rural capital subsidies can enhance rural industrial integration (but need to satisfy certain conditions in the short-run) and reduce the economic gap between urban and rural areas. In numerical simulation part, we discover that capital subsidy for rural secondary industry has a more favourable impact on rural industrial integration, social welfare, and narrowing urban–rural economic gap than rural tertiary capital subsidy.

Current situation and trend analysis of rural electrification in China

Energy is the foundation of economic and social development. With the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas have achieved integrated development, and the living environment has been increasingly improved, promoting the clean and electrified development of rural energy consumption. The development of rural electrification involves many aspects and is related to the future of rural. Based on agricultural production and rural life, this paper analyzes the current situation of rural electrification from energy consumption, electrification growth rate, electricity load characteristics and regional variations. Through building a forecasting model of rural production and living energy demand, this paper forecasts the level of rural energy consumption, analyze the development trend of rural electrification, and put forward relevant conclusions and suggestions.

How Does Urban-Rural Capital Flow Affect Rural Reconstruction near Metropolitan Areas? Evidence from Shanghai, China

Capital outflow during industrialization and urbanization is a primary reason for global rural recession, and China is no exception. Since China focuses on the integrated development of urban and rural areas, urban-rural capital flow affects the transformation and sustainable development of rural areas. However, few studies have focused on this issue. Based on long-term field observations of Wufang Village in Shanghai, we established an analytical framework to describe how urban-rural capital flow promotes rural reconstruction. The research results show that the influx of urban industrial and commercial capital results in market-oriented organization and reconstruction focusing on land, industry, and capital: (1) Land-use optimization changes the land ownership and spatial structure of rural areas and improves the spatial value of rural areas. (2) Industrial development is focused on diverse development and the integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural areas. (3) Capital investment is performed by a consortium of state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and rural collective enterprises—which jointly invest, obtain revenue, and share profits—while considering the balance between attracting capital to rural areas and achieving independent development. The experience of Wufang Village has implications for the rural transformation policies of other large cities in China and other countries in Asia and Africa during urbanization.
