The Implementation of Critical and Creative Thinking in Research-Based Learning for Sustainable Language Education

Objective: This research aims to reveal a concept of Critical and Creative Thinking for Research-based Learning/CCTRbLmin the context of language learning in regards of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, Quality Education, in the context of strengthening language literacy. Theoretical Framework: Critical and creative thinking on language literacy are pivotal skills for responding to the competitiveness and problems of the 21st century in almost all aspects of life. It is also promoted by SDG program. In correlation with developing learning strategies, effective methods and any strategic plan in improving the quality of education, the syntax of the CCTRbL model, is necessaryly explained in some stages. Method: This research subject is 6 annual reports facilitated by 3 lecturers and enrolled by 134 undergraduate students in English and Indonesian courses. The analysis is done with Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) to gain the strategic plan for sustaining the quality of college language education. Results and Discussion: The result indicated an aggressive strategic plan, by using strength and opportunity in optimizing the implementation of CCTRbL model. It is easier for teachers to compile and implement learning, including providing meaningful language learning activities. Research Implications: The research implications more on providing insights of how to apply meaningful language llearning model in higher education setting. Originality/Value: The opportunities for collaborative and innovative learning carried out in the classroom have positive impacts in achieving the goals of implementing this model for enhancing higher education language learning in the future.

MOOCs: Global Business Goals and Local Educational Strategies

MOOCs are prepared by universities, research centers, business and governmental bodies. That is a device with which academic centers spread state-of-the-art knowledge, while business entities facilitate the development of competencies, particularly in business, economics and IT. The paradox is that although MOOCs courses are open to global users, they contain distinctive features of their inventors’ and administrators’ culture because they have been created locally. In order to identify the cultural characteristics evident in the content of MOOC courses, 267 courses on creative writing posted on five platforms were analyzed: Coursera (USA), FutureLearn (UK), XuetangX (China), JMOOC (Japan) and Skill Academy (Indonesia). Skill Academy and Coursera were focused on business-marketing goals, although they represented different cultures. Chinese, Japanese and Indonesian courses reflected the responsiveness of those cultures and were people- and affiliation-oriented. They employed a holistic approach to teaching (emphasis on context), i.e. operated with live lectures, which had not happened on Western platforms. Therefore, the conviction that MOOC is a mirror of the culture in which it was created should be considered a myth. It is the MOOC platform that presents the interests of the administrators and owners. Platform owners differ in their goals: academic (general knowledge transfer becoming a thing of the past after the commercialization of Coursera and edX), marketing (focused on gaining customers and employees) or economic-political (XuetangX). For a MOOC to be useful to representatives of another culture, not only translation into another language is needed, but also a proper modification of learning objectives and methods.

Proses Psikologis Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Perguruan Tinggi (Pendekatan Kognitif dan Afektif)

Indonesian learning at the college level demands a deep understanding and proper use in a variety of communication contexts. This study aims to explore the psychological processes involved in Indonesian learning in higher education using cognitive and affective approaches. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research method. The study participants consisted of final year students who took Indonesian courses at the Institut Agama Islam (IAI) Qamarul Huda Bagu Peringgarata Lombok Tengah. Data was collected through classroom observation, interviews, and document analysis. The data is then analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of psychological processes that emerge during learning Indonesian. The results showed that the psychological processes involved in Indonesian learning in higher education involve cognitive and affective aspects simultaneously. The cognitive aspect involves understanding grammar, vocabulary, and problem-solving abilities in the context of Indonesian communication. The affective aspect involves intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, attitudes toward Indonesian learning, and levels of confidence in using Indonesian.These findings have important implications in curriculum development and Indonesian learning methods in higher education

Development of Critical Thinking Attitude of IPR Students in Learning Indonesian Courses

One of the potentials that must be developed and formed in higher education is critical thinking. Critical thinking is an organized mental process and plays a role in the process of making decisions to solve problems. Critical thinking includes the activities of analyzing and interpreting data in scientific discovery activities. To develop students' critical thinking skills, learning innovations need to be implemented. The aim of this research is to find out how the critical thinking attitudes of IPR students develop in learning Indonesian language courses. This research is classroom action research using a design developed by Kemmis and MC Taggart which consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, the treatment and observation stage, and the reflection stage. The results of this research show that the development of critical thinking of HKI students in the Indonesian language course has succeeded in improving their thinking skills with a score of 23 in the pre-action stage, cycle I increased to 27.7 and cycle II increased to 36.6.

PERSEPSI MAHASISWA DALAM PERKULIAHAN DARING PADA MATA KULIAH BAHASA INDONESIA DI UNIVERSITAS AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA

This study aims to describe student perceptions of the implementation of online lectures in the Indonesian language course at Amikom University, Yogyakarta. The results of the study show that most students have a positive perception of the implementation of online lectures in Indonesian courses. This perception is measured from three aspects, including aspects of the lecture process, aspects of lecturer competence, and aspects of facilities. In the aspect of the lecture process, most students gave a positive perception of the online lecture process. Students think that online lectures can train for independent learning and save on transportation costs. In terms of lecturer competence, most students agree that lecturers are competent so that online lectures can run smoothly. Meanwhile the aspect of facilities, some students stated that facilities in the form of internet networks could be an obstacle in online lectures. However, students always get positive support from parents in online lectures

Student Perceptions of Using Prezi Media in General Indonesian Courses

Numerous facets of life, especially the field of education, have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic. The switch from traditional classroom instruction to online or virtual instruction can be challenging for both instructors and students. In an effort to achieve the best learning objectives, Prezi media is one of the online learning methods and resources that are chosen and employed. It is widely used during presentations and group discussions. The study's goal was to ascertain how the Prezi content utilized in general Indonesian classes was perceived by the students. This qualitative study included 50 students in total as research participants. The information was gathered through the use of a Likert scale questionnaire, and it was then reviewed in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-making. The study's findings suggest that using Prezi media to support students in meeting their learning objectives has considerable advantages. These advantages consist of how simple it is to comprehend the subject matter, how efficient studying time is, and how appealing and how practical it is.

LITERASI BUDAYA ETNIK MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI IAIN PONTIANAK

This research aims to describe the efforts to improve students ' understanding and literacy in matters of ethnic culture through learning activities in Indonesian language courses in universities. This study was carried out qualitatively by using first semester students who took the subject of Indonesian in FUAD class. In this class, students are asked to keep a diary. After that, each of them was asked to provide feedback about the progress obtained after participating in the diary writing program. Data were collected through in-question and FGD as well as written questions. The Data is then processed qualitatively based on thematic approach. In conclusion, students who take Indonesian courses admit that they have made significant progress in understanding ethnic groups and cultures. Through the task of making up about different ethnic friends, the experience of participating in cross-ethnic cultural activities, they re-create positive memories about other ethnic groups. This study shows that understanding of ethnicity can be integrated through learning activities.

Improving Students' Reading Ability Using Picture Story Books in Indonesian Courses

The goal of this study is to develop students' fluency in reading aloud from illustrated storybooks about Indonesian culture and history in Class II at SDN 01 Duhiadaa in the Pohuwato Regency. The research design is an action study in the classroom, and the sample size is 22 students in Grade 2. This study was conducted in cycles, with each cycle including the phases of planning, carrying out the plan, monitoring the results, and reflecting on the study's findings. According to the results of this study, pupils' proficiency in reading aloud is low across the board in Indonesian courses. Students' low reading aloud skill at the time of initial observation indicates this, with 50% falling into the bad category, 68.18% falling into the fairly good category, and 95.45% rising to the very good category in the second cycle. Students in class II at SDN 1 Duhiadaa, Pohuwato Regency, can benefit from the use of picture story books as a form of learning media to enhance their fluency in reading aloud. After the second cycle of the second meeting, the researcher called it quits because they had met the 80% performance indicator they had set out to achieve.

Blended Learning of Indonesian Language Based on Merdeka Learning Independent Campus and Creative Economy

Blended Learning Indonesian based on Merdeka-Belajar Kampus Merdeka-(MBKM) and Creative Economy at the Faculty of Economics, University of Muhammadiyah Semarang needs special attention. This is motivated by post-covid conditions—requiring student adaptation-- to an effective face-to-face learning situation. More than that, the advantages of blended learning are the latest effective learning solutions. This study aims to explain the implementation of lectures and evaluate Blended Learning Indonesian at the Faculty of Economics—majoring in Accounting and Management, University of Muhammadiyah Semarang. Blended Learning Indonesian be carried out through the stages of MBKM -- planning, implementing, and evaluating learning -- with creative economy content. These three stages are carried out to obtain maximum learning results. The subjects of the study were 254 fifth-semester Management students and first-semester Accounting students who were taking Indonesian courses. This study is descriptive statistical research. Data collection is carried out by filling in instruments using Google Forms. Data processing is carried out by comparing the percentage of the tendency of each student's answer. The results showed that Blended Learning Indonesian based on Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka and Creative Economy at the Faculty of Economics, University of Muhammadiyah Semarang was implemented effectively. In the future, blended learning in Indonesian be an effective solution and a new breakthrough in independent learning.

The Merdeka Belajar-based Digital Literacy Skill of Indonesian Language Courses as The Effective Mean to Improve Islamic Characters at Economic Faculty of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang

This research is themed on Merdeka Belajar-based Digital Literacy Skill for Indonesian course as an effective facility to improve the Islamic character of Economic Faculty students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang. This research analyzed the Merdeka belajar, self-directed learning–based digital literacy skills in an Indonesian language course, starting from the plan, implementation, and evaluation. The improved Islamic characters of the students were based on honesty (sidiq), trust (amanah), sharing (tabligh), and intelligence (fathonah). The research subjects were the management and accounting students of an Indonesian language course. This descriptive statistic research collected the data by distributing a questionnaire on Google Forms. The results showed the planning aspect obtained a percentage of 59.9%; implementation (57.25%); and evaluation (62.3%). The results showed that the self-directed learning-based digital literacy in the Indonesian language course effectively improved the Islamic characters of the Economic Faculty students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang.

The Effect of Online Learning on Student Learning Outcomes in Indonesian Subjects

This study employs a Pre-Experimental Design (Non-design) to examine whether online learning has any effect on learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects. The sample size for this study was 16 students, chosen at random. Data collection methods include observation, testing, and documentation. Observations were made by observing both teacher and student activities. The test consists of a pretest before implementing offline learning and a posttest after implementing online learning, as well as documentation for research purposes. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and the non-parametric Wilcoxon signed ranks test (Z). The average value of student learning outcomes in an Indonesian class after offline learning was higher than after online learning, according to the results of the non-parametric Wilcoxon signed ranks test (Z) processed using SPSS 22 for windows. The findings revealed that the effect of online learning on learning outcomes in an Indonesian course after implementing offline learning is greater than the effect of online learning after implementing offline learning. The findings reveal that the effect of online learning on learning outcomes in an Indonesian language subject after implementing offline learning is greater than the effect of online learning after implementing offline learning. It is possible to conclude that online learning has an effect on students' learning outcomes in Indonesian Class IV subjects at SD Negeri 1 Bonto-Bonto, Pangkep Regency.

International Students' Motivation and Self-Confidence in Learning Indonesian

Motivation and self-confidence are important aspects to increase engagement in learning and indirectly to conversation. The success of learning Indonesian can be seen from how students can convey their ideas and can connect with the other persons in communication, also, it can happen because of the balanced self-confidence and motivation. Therefore, this research article aims to study the relationship between motivation and self-confidence toward the ability to speak Bahasa Indonesia of foreign students who took an intensive Indonesian course. As to explain the correlation among speaking ability, motivation and self-confidence, the combined methods both qualitative and quantitative were applied. Thirty-eight participants participated in this study. At the end of the course, questionnaires were distributed to get information about motivation and self-confidence in speaking Indonesian. Additionally, the evaluation of their speaking ability was also collected for analysis of correlation. Both motivation and self-confidence highly correlated with speaking ability, with r=0.827, r=0.851, respectively. This finding shows that there is a significant correlation between motivation and self-confidence and their ability to speak bahasa Indonesia, students who had high motivation and good self-confidence managed to improve their speaking abilities. However, instructors should focus on building students' motivation and self-confidence by creating a supportive classroom environment that encourages students to talk as much as possible and participate in verbal activities without fear or embarrassment because students who are unmotivated and lack self-confidence are unsure of their speaking abilities. Therefore, further studies can be conducted to examine more specifically the causes of low motivation and causes of lack of confidence in the participants. Strategi Pengayaan Berbasis Digital Membaca Cepat Dan Pemahaman Dengan Aplikasi Quizizz di SD Negeri Belitung Selatan 1 Banjarmasin

The development of digital-based learning media is an excellent alternative in the attempt to enhance quality of education, especially learning Indonesian language and literature in elementary schools after the Covid-19 pandemic. The study's objectives were to (1) analyze the factors that influence students' motivation for reading habituation using quizizz digital media, 2) analyze the implementation of the quizizz application in the implementation of learning enrichment in the post-Covid-19 pandemic, and 3) learn about just a variety of advantages and disadvantages obtained by teachers and students through the provision of enrichment using the quizizz application. The research method employs a qualitative approach, a descriptive qualitative method. Purposive sampling was used in the study, with the research subject being a teacher who had utilized the Quizizz application in the learning process. The speed reading ability of grade V and VI elementary school students was the focus of this study. The results of this study show that this enrichment strategy is feasible for use as a learning innovation; however, this research is limited to the enrichment stage. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a model for schools in terms of using digital enrichment media quizzes to enhance student' speed reading and comprehension skills in Indonesian courses

Development of Early Grade Indonesian E-Modules Using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application

This article aims to 1) Produce products in the form of e-modules for Early Class Indonesian courses using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application; 2) To find out the feasibility of developing an e-module based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application in the Early class Indonesian language course; 3) To find out students' responses to the development of e-modules based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application in the Early Grade Indonesian course. The type of research conducted is research and development (R&D). The development model used in this study is a 4-D development model (four D Model), namely define activities, design activities, development activities and are validated by experts and see the practicality of e-module products. 1) The results of material expert validation obtained an average of 86% in the very feasible category. Second, media experts get an average of 93% in the very decent category. Third, linguists get an average of 87% with a very decent category. Then, in individual trials, students responded to this e-module in the very good category with an average percentage of 93%. In the small group trial, the students' responses were in the very good category with an average percentage of 92.25%. Meanwhile, in the limited field group trial, the criteria of "good" were obtained with an average score percentage of 87,08%. Based on this percentage, it can be concluded that this e-module is suitable to be used as teaching material for Indonesian language courses in the Early Class of HKBP Nommensen, Pematangsiantar University. Students’ perception towards the time suitability for Indonesian language course

Background: Learning Indonesian Language in Higher Education level has a different focus from other levels. Learning Indonesian in tertiary institution does not only study the rules of the Indonesian language, but also implements them in scientific writing with an orientation to the use of technology. Indonesian language course also exists in foreign language study programs. One of the learning weight indicators is the time suitability as a key factor in the success of learning.
 Purpose: This study aims to find out the students’ perception of satisfaction level of English Literature study program, towards the time suitability for tasks in Indonesian Language course.
 Design and methods: This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The research method is a survey with the data collection instrument, the questionnaires. The research subjects are students who take the Indonesian language course at the English Literature Study Program, Universitas Gunadarma. The research sample is 148 respondents. Data collection is conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The perception of the satisfaction level towards the time suitability for the Indonesian language course is conducted through 4 (four) indicators, namely; (1) study time, (2) structured task time, (3) independent task time, (4) exam time.
 Results: The results showed that there is a positive response to time suitability in Indonesian language course. As much as 73.64% of the sample respondents stated that it is very sufficient for learning time suitability, 74.32% is very sufficient for structured task time, 70.94% is very sufficient for time independent tasks and 70 .27% is very sufficient for exam time. Students’ perceptions of the time suitability for learning Indonesian course are positive with an average suitability of 72.29%, which is very sufficient

The Influence of Project-based Learning to Empower Students’ Cognitive Abilities

This research aimed to describe the influence of project-based learning (PjBL) on the cognitive abilities of students. The research method used an experimental design. The samples were classified into two studies and collected in a non-randomized manner. The subjects were the students of the first semester in FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya who was programming Indonesian course. The research data was collected by using tests to test cognitive abilities or learning outcomes. The data was then analyzed descriptively, especially against the mean and its standard deviation. Before the statistical test, a check was carried out on the normality and uniformity of the data. The next step is the analysis of MANOVA. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the value of F calculating cognitive ability was 21,836 with a significance level of 0.000. There was a significant influence of the project-based learning model on cognitive abilities between the experimental group and the control group. Therefore, Ho was rejected because there was an influence on students’ cognitive abilities or learning outcomes. Thus, the hypothesis of this research was proven. The results showed that there was an influence of project-based learning models on cognitive abilities, in this case student learning outcomes

HOW DOES LOCAL CONTENT TEXT BASED SHARING READING LITERACY MODEL AFFECT THE INDONESIAN LANGUAGE COURSE IN INDONESIAN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL? (BAGAIMANA MODEL SHARING READING LITERACY BERBASIS KONTEN LOKAL BERPENGARUH PADA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS?)

This study aims to determine the effect of reading material of Indonesian course by student and teacher in Senior High School. The type of reading is in the form of folklore in the West Sumatra area. This research used quantitativeapproach towards descriptive method. It is to describe the learning effect for students and teachers, where it is related to master a reading with critical reading learning using the Sharing Reading Literacy model. The research subjects were students of class X SMAN 15 Padang studying critical reading material and consisting of 10 classes. The instruments used were questionnaire sheets and interview guidelines. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that 74% of students need critical reading learning resources, 73% of student need critical reading learning media, and 58% of student need critical reading learning methods called Sharing Reading Literacy as required by the learning indicators. It shows that the local content text based sharing model affect the Indonesian Language course in Indonesian Senior High School.

INTRODUCTION TO SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS FOR PGSD STUDENTS OF PGRI RONGGOLAWE UNIVERSITY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY LITERATURE IN INDONESIAN COURSES

The aim of this study is to describe the ability to identify scientific publications through technological literacy including, the ability to access scientific articles, select scientific articles, and develop scientific articles that have 76 class PGSD, class of 2018. This kind of study is a class action study. The data collection used is a questionnaire for data ability to access and select scientific articles, while the documentation techniques for data ability to compile the scientific article so, data analysis USES a quantitative descriptive technique. Research shows that, while the ability to access scientific articles before Indonesian subjects, 201% of students understand how to access scientific journals while 79.9% do not understand access to them and that percentage is equal to the ability to access scientific articles. 16.3% understand the menu in scientific journals while 83.7% do not understand the journal’s menu, 29.6% understand how to keep journal links where as 70. 4% do not understand an increase occurred 100% after technology-literacy breeding in Indonesian subjects. Studies of the ability to select a scientific article before Indonesian subjects are: 100% PGSD students cannot distinguish between research and non-research artists do not use science as referral for college work, and use referrals from sites other than scientific journals and after the technology-literacy experience of an Indonesian course there is a 100% increase. Next, the science where 20 students score 72, 19 score 70, 14 students score 7, 12 students score 73, 3 score 75, 3 more with 78, 2 score 76 and 2 score 77, and 1 student scores 69.

The Development of KlikMPK as an Affective Evaluation Platform for Indonesian Personality Development Course

This research aimed to describe and analyze the results of developing an instrument, and an effective evaluation platform for Indonesian courses as a Personality and Development Courses at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha called KlikMPK. This research was a type of research and development with the ADDIE model. This research involved two media experts. Research data were obtained from observations and questionnaires, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this study indicated that 1) the advantages of the KlikMPK platform are that it is open-source, flexible and easy to use, secure and integrated; has plugin support and is easy to customize; as well as mobile-friendly and laptop support. 2) KlikMPK affective evaluation platform has a valid validity level with a score of 94.64. 3) The stages of development carried out include five stages in accordance with the ADDIE model. Thus, this platform can be used to evaluate the affective domain of students in Indonesian learning as Personality and Development Courses.

Utilization of E-Learning as Media in Indonesian Language Courses in Higher Education Post COVID-19 Pandemic

The rapid development of technology has increased the demand for information technology-based learning media, which is becoming increasingly necessary. E-Learning, also known as information technology-based learning media, is changing how education is delivered from a traditional to a digital format. At this time, the world is being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is causing restrictions on activities and gatherings and causing difficulties in lectures. Electronic learning, the most widely used learning medium by all groups, is seen as a solution to keep the learning going in higher education, from primary to post-secondary levels of education. The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of E-Learning as a learning medium in the Indonesian language education department of universities following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to implement Indonesian language education learning by taking samples from lecturers who teach Indonesian courses at the Manado State Islamic Institute and Manado State Christian Institute. According to the study's findings, using information technology as a medium of learning in Indonesian language education courses through e-learning is beneficial, particularly in light of the country's ban on face-to-face instruction. Then, the university should continue to develop e-learning to improve the ease and quality of the teaching and learning process, increase student learning effectiveness, and broaden its reach.
