Gaya Bahasa Rocky Gerung pada Masa Kampanye Pemilu Presiden 2019 dalam Acara Indonesia Lawyers Club

This research was conducted to find out the language style used by Rocky Gerung during the 2019 presidential elestion campaign at the Indonesia Lawyers Club event. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive analysis method. Data collection techniques are carried out by observing and recording techniques. The data source was obtained from the video of the Indonesia Lawyers Club event. After the data is obtained, the data is analyzed based on the type of language style. The style of language that tends to be dominant in this study is the style of affirmation which consists of interruptions, corrections, repetitions, rhetoric, stigmatism, and tautology. As a political observer, Rocky Gerung is known for his assertive speaking style, daring to criticize and often using satirical language in his speeches. In this research, the style of language Rocky used the most was interrupt with the aim of emphasizing the meaning of what he said.

Reception Analysis Masyarakat Surabaya terhadap Wacana Presiden 3 Periode


 This research is motivated by the 3-period presidential discourse in the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) program. This study aims to determine public acceptance of the 3-term presidential discourse on the YouTube channel Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) episode "Harga-Harga Naik, Tapi Publik Puas Terhadap Jokowi". The research method uses a qualitative reception analysis approach with the encoding-decoding model by Stuart Hall to understand community reception. Stuart Hall divides the categories of audience acceptance into 3 positions, namely dominant, negotiated, and oppositional. Data collection techniques were carried out by in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that the public does not agree with the existence of a 3-term president, because this is contrary to the constitution and the basis of the 1945 Constitution that applies in Indonesia. Even though all informants acknowledged Pak Jokowi's performance, according to the informants, Pak Jokowi was not fit to continue his term of office because doing so could undermine reforms and damage the state order.

Honesty in Language in Special Fugitive Scandal: Forensic Linguistic Studies in Broadcasting Talks Indonesia Lawyers Club

Forensic linguistics as a branch of linguistics that analyzes and examines language in legal products, legal processes, and legal evidence still needs to be improved in Indonesia, especially the study of language honesty in crime cases. Therefore, it is important to continue the study of forensic linguistics. This study aims to describe the veracity language in the special fugitive scandal. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative research design that focuses on analyzing the level of veracity in language in the special fugitive scandal using John Olsson's Statement Analysis in Linguistic (SAL) model. The data of this research are oral data, namely forensic text narratives contained in talk shows about special fugitives. The data source in this research is the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) talk show. The main theory used in this research is the study of forensic linguistics which is specified in John Olsson's theory of veracity language. The results of this research indicate that veracity in language in special fugitive scandals tends to have a high level of veracity.

Analisis Naratif: Perspektif Partai Oposisi terhadap Diberhentikannya Tayangan Indonesian Lawyer Club TV One dalam Menyikapi Isu Demokrasi Indonesia

Mass media has had a huge impact on the history of human life. The Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) talk show hosted by senior journalist Karni Ilyas is rumored to have stopped airing. This drew a response from various politicians including opposition politicians who were very sorry for not re-airing the event as a forum for democratic aspirations that were sufficient transparency in the show to the public. The purpose of this study is to find out the state of democracy in Indonesia through the media of criticism by analyzing how perspective through the perspective of narrative analysis of statements of opposition party politicians regarding the dismissal of Indonesian Lawyer Club shows on TV One in addressing the issue of Indonesian democracy. The method used in this study is with a qualitative approach with a narrative analysis framework method by analyzing the content of news. The results stated that Fadli revealed this news is sad news and bad news for democracy. Because there are currently very few platforms that provide freedom of expression. In conclusion, fadli's allegations were corroborated by Karli Ilyas' answer to Mahfud MD's question about intimidation in various directions. At the same time, the mass media plays an important role in functioning the democratic government to the people.

Tindak Tutur Asertif dalam Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC)

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the use of language in the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) event on TvOne. Focusing on four episodes at the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC). Debates and discussions at the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) show the opinions of each invited resource who convey ideas to strengthen their arguments in various ways of conveying. This study aims to describe speech acts. assertive in the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) on TvOne (pragmatic study). This type of research is qualitative-descriptive by collecting data using documentation techniques by downloading videos on the official TvOne website. Furthermore, using the listening method with the basic technique of listening to the free to engage proficiently because the researcher listens to the use of language during the discussion and the technique of taking notes on the data inventory table. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three steps, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. In the data analysis, the researcher also used the equivalent method, the change method with the dressing technique, and the markup reading method to determine the classification of speech acts.Keywords: Pragmatics, Speech Actions

INTERFERENCE MORPHOLOGICAL JAVA INTO INDONESIAN AT TALKSHOW INDONESIA LAWYERS CLUB 2020 ON TV ONE

This research is motivated by the talk show Indonesia Lawyers Club having program quality, having recognition of awards, achieving high ratings, and presenting resource persons from social observers, politicians, lawyers, and the general public. This is interesting to study because in the event a lot of interference occurred because the speakers were presented from various backgrounds and different cultures. Then in this study the researchers focused on examining one of the speakers, namely, Sujiwo Tejo, and Karni Ilyas as a talk show host for the Indonesia Lawyers Club on Tv One.
 Sujiwo Tejo is an Indonesian actor, singer, writer and humanist who was born in Jember Regency. Sujiwo Tejo, who was born with Javanese blood, does not rule out the possibility that he will use his mother tongue when speaking. So when presented at the Indonesia Lawyers Club on TV One, Sujiwo tejo was a resource person who allowed interference events to occur when speaking in formal events. Karni Ilyas was born in West Sumatra, of Minangkabau blood. However, now living in Jakarta, so that he knows a lot and has many colleagues from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, it also causes the possibility of interference events when speaking in formal events. The results of this study stated that interference was found at the morphological level including prefixes, suffixes, words, phrases, and clauses.

Impoliteness Manoeuvres and Its Motives in Indonesia Lawyers Club Talk Show

The use of impolite language is often found in various areas of conversation, both formal and informal conversations. Being polite is different from speaking rudely. Impoliteness is often expressed with harsh words. Impoliteness can be expressed even with a sentence of praise. The Indonesia Lawyers Club talk show is a television program that presents formal discussions on political and government issues in Indonesia. This study focuses on the reasons for using impoliteness that occurs in the dialogue on the Indonesia Lawyers Club talk show. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a pragmatic approach. The data in this study are in the form of dialogues that contain impoliteness. The source of this research data is taken from the talk show Indonesia Lawyers Club. The data analyzed in this study are in the form of natural oral data. The data analysis method used is the referential equivalent method. The presentation of data analysis used is informal presentation techniques. The results of this study indicate the discovery of 4 impoliteness strategies and 3 reasons for using impoliteness. The 4 strategies are bald on record, positive impoliteness, negative impoliteness, and mock politeness. The reasons for using impoliteness in the Indonesia Lawyers Club talk show include the feeling that their opinion is the most correct, wanting to embarrass the speech partner and the speaker's personal interests.

Sentiment Analysis About Indonesian Lawyers Club Television Program Using K-Nearest Neighbor, Naïve Bayes Classifier, And Decision Tree

Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) is a talk show on TVOne that discusses topics around public phenomena, legal issues, crime, and other similar topics. In 2018, ILC won the Panasonic Gobel Awards as the best news talk show program. But in 2019, ILC failed to win the award which was won by Mata Najwa which featured a talk show event that appeared on Trans7. As one of the television shows that has won awards, ILC has pros and cons for its shows from the public. This study applies a sentiment analysis approach to examine public opinion on Twitter about Mata Najwa and ILC in 2018 and 2019. This study applies K-Nearest Neighbor, Naïve Bayes Classifier, and Decision Tree classification algorithm to validate the result. The contribution of this study is to show that public opinion on Twitter can be examined to figure out community sentiment on a tv talk show as well as to confirm the Award winner of tv Talkshow.

Speech Acts in ILC (Indonesia Lawyers Club) Talk Show Program

This study was concerned with the use of speech acts in ILC (Indonesia Lawyers Club) Talk show program. The objective of this study was to describe the types of speech acts used by the host and the guests of ILC. Qualitative content analysis method was applied in this study. The sources of data were the host and the guests in ILC. The data of the study were the sentences and the phrases gathered from the conversation in the episodes of ILC. The finding of this study showed that four types of speech acts, namely rex`x` presentative, directive, commissive, and expressive were used by the host and the guests of ILC, while declarative speech act was not found at all in the episodes of that talk show program. The dominant type of speech act used by the host was directive, while the guests dominantly used representative speech act. Keywords: Speech Acts, Indonesia Lawyers Club, Talk Show Program. Critical Discourse Analysis In Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) "RKUHP CONTROVERSY" On TV ONE

On 25 September 2019, Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) have made themes Rancangan Kitab Undang Undang Hukum Pidana controversy or RKUHP controversy. ILC discusses several chapters that invite the pros and cons in the interpersonal community of the article concerning the insult to the President and Vice President, article on the possession of supernatural powers to commit a criminal offense, article on poultry breeding, article on demonstrating contraceptives, articles on abortion, and other. In the critical paradigm, the use of language in the media is intentional and has a specific purpose. Seeing this, researchers are interested in seeing the discourse built in the talk show. The researchers used a critical discourse analysis technique model (Teun van Dijk) and found that ILC built a discourse that article RKUHP serves the interests of the Government. The RKUHP intervenes in the privacy of the community, and RKUHP discriminates against certain groups. This discourse also shows the definition and positioning of the ILC position on the participants of the production discourse. ILC placed Karni Iliyas as the dominant moderator so that his reality could be accepted by the public as truth. using the technique of text analysis, social cognition, and context, researchers found a discourse built by ILC confirming the view that the RKUHP invites pros and cons in society. Researchers have also found that the ILC conversion of the RKUHP is influenced by government interests.

SPEECH ACTS BY KARNI ILYAS IN INDONESIA LAWYERS CLUB (ILC) ‘KPK VS NOVANTO: BERPACU DENGAN WAKTU

This research deals with the using of speech acts in Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC): KPK vs Novanto: Berpacu dengan Waktu. The objectives of this research were: (1) to investigate the types of speech acts used by Karni Ilyas in ILC “KPK vs Novanto: Berpacu dengan Waktu”, (2) to describe the way of performing speech acts realized by Karni Ilyas, and (3) to explain the reasons why those types of speech acts are realized by Karni Ilyas. The research applied descriptive qualitative method. The source of data in this research was taken from Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) “KPK vs Novanto: Berpacu dengan Waktu” video. The instrument used for collecting the data was the observation by recorded the utterances of Karni from seven parts of videos. The data were clauses contained of Speech Acts used by Karni. The findings of this study showed that: 1) There were three types of speech acts, namely locutionary act, illocutinary act and perlocutionary act that utilized by Karni Ilyas in his utterances when discussion with all the guests in Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) “KPK vs Novanto: Berpacu dengan Waktu”. The dominant types of speech act was illocutionary act and the dominant classification was directive. 2) There were two ways in performing speech act used by Karni, namely direct and indirect speech. Direct speech was more dominant than indirect speech. 3) There were four reasons why Karni using speech act, namely to actuate, to entertain, to stimulate, and to inform. The dominant was to actuate. The effect of watching political programs on islamic-based party political images among Muhammadiyah students

This study aims to know the effect of watching the Indonesia Lawyers Club political episode program against the image of Islamic-based political parties among the Muhammadiyah Students Association of UIN Sunan Kalijaga ahead of the 2019 Presidential Election. Theories used are Cultivation Theory, television watch intensity, political parties' image, and Islamic based political parties. Validity test uses criteria validity calculated using the Pearson Product Moment formula, while the reliability test uses the Alpha Cronbach formula with the help of SPSS version 15. The type of analysis of this research is quantitative descriptive research with survey methods and data analysis using inferential parametric statistical methods, namely, the Pearson Product analyses Moment with the help of SPSS version 15. Meanwhile, to find out the magnitude of the effect of watching television using the formula Coefficient of Determination. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, literature studies, and documentation with sampling techniques using random sampling, as many as 62 respondents. From the data processing, it was found that there was an influence between watching the Indonesian Lawyers Club program on political episodes on the image of Islamic-based political parties among the Muhamadiyah Students Association UIN Sunan Kalijaga before the 2019 presidential election. Other variables also influence the formation of the image of political parties. This study uses DK = 60 (N-2 or 62-2) and the level of probability or significance level of 0.05 (5%), then the table is 0.250, and from the calculation, the recount is 0.550. Thus, since counted> tables, Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted.

PENGARUH TAYANGAN TALKSHOW “INDONESIA LAWYERS CLUB” TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN POLITIK MAHASISWA

This study contains the effect of the Indonesian lawyers club talk showon student political education. This research uses purposivesampling with the criteria of Communication Studies University of Bengkulu Universityclass of 2015-2017 who watched the talk show "Indonesia LawyersClub ". Data collection in this study used a questionnaire and a studyliterature and other references relating to research problems.Data analysis in this study used simple regression analysiswith the result that Y = 10.215 + 0.881x with the coefficient of determination (R2)by 37%. The level of political education is influenced by Indonesian Lawyers' broadcastsClub by 37% and the remaining 63% is influenced by other variablesnot researched. Meanwhile t count 5.836> 2.00172 with a significant level0,000 <α = 0.05 (5%). Based on the statistical calculations obtained, thenThe hypothesis for this research is that there is an influence of the Indonesian talkshow programLawyers Club towards student political education. Then it means that Ha was acceptedand H0 is rejected. Based on the results of research analysis, it can be concludedthat the Indonesian lawyers club shows affect political educationcollege student.

Conversation Analysis of Interruption Found In The Indonesia Lawyers Club

This thesis is a study about types of interruption and functions of interruption in a television talk show named Indonesia Lawyers Club. This study aims to identify the types of interruption found in the Indonesia Lawyers Club. The main theory used in supporting this study is a theory of types of interruption proposed by Ferguson (1977). In conducting this study, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study found that there are four types of interruption found in the talk show. They are simple interruption (SI), overlap interruption (OI), Butting-in interruption (BI) and silent interruption (SLI). OI is the most dominant types of interruption found in the data. There are 9 occurrences of OI (36%), 8 occurrences of SI (32%), 5 occurrences of BI (20%) and 3 occurrences of SLI (12%).

Moral panics on lgbt issues: evidence from indonesian tv programme

There was a discussion activity conducted by a small club of the University of Indonesia called SGRC (Support Group and Resource Center on Sexuality Studies) at the beginning of January 2016. It did not only discuss sexuality such as sexual preferences but also conduct peer support for LGBT groups. However, it was reported illegal for many reasons. Although later the “illegal” stamp was dubbed as an "internal problem" of Universitas Indonesia, the effect was unbelievable. The activity of SGRC was reported by media as “LGBT’s attack on campus”, “LGBT is dangerous for campus”, et cetera. Moral, Eastern hemisphere norms, and religious excuses were the main excuses by media to judge and “punish” the LGBT groups. After the SGRC incident, particularly in 2016, the media, both mainstream and online, massively promoted homophobia through hate speech. The media reported the LGBT phenomenon as not only dangerous but also as entities that must be destroyed. Although not as splashy as online news, some television stations reported the case in their ways. TvOne, compared to other Indonesian TV stations, was the most often to discuss LGBT issues from 2016-2018 through a debate programme titled Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC). The most controversial episode was the one aired on February 16 whose topic was “LGBT Issues is Rising, How Should We React?” in which a participant, a psychiatrist, was accused of delivering false information. His statement was even responded by a U.S.-based international psychiatrist association which later sent him a warning letter. This paper will explore media framing on tvOne’s debate programme using Robert Entman’s Framing Methods. The result shows that through inviting certain debate participants who voiced certain statements, the TV programme promoted not only anti-LGBT actions but also homophobia.

Analisis Hubungan Keterdedahan Media dengan Partisipasi Berpolitik Mahasiswa pada Program Indonesia Lawyers Club di TV One (Kasus Mahasiswa Ilmu Politik Insitut Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Jakarta)

AbstractAnalysis of Media Dependency Relations with Student Political Participation at the Indonesian Lawyers Club Program on Tv One" (Case of Political Science Students of the Jakarta Institute of Social and Political Sciences). Communication Studies Program Broadcasting Concentration, Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences (FISIB) Pakuan University Bogor. Supervised by Dr. David Rizar Nugroho M.Si. The objectives of the study were (1) Analyzing how students were exposed to the Indonesia Lawyers Club program on Tv One, (2) Analyzing how the political participation of students in Indonesia Lawyers Club program on Tv One, (3) Analyzing the relationship between Indonesia Lawyers Club program on Tv One and political participation of students. This research is a quantitative that produces statistical data using quantitative descriptive methods. Data used questionnaire method or questionnaire and literature study. The population and sample in this study were political science students from the Jakarta Institute of Social and Political Sciences who had watched Indonesia Lawyers Club on Tv One with accidental sampling. The research instrument tested the validity of the Pearson Product Moment reliability with Cronbach's Alpha. Data analyzed technique used is the average score and correlation test. The results show that: (1) In the media discontinuation variable the duration indicator of the majority of respondents watching Indonesia Lawyers Club 10-20 minutes in one watch. (2) Indicator of frequency of watching Indonesian Lawyers Club, the majority of respondents watch twice a month. (3) There is a significant relationship between media exposure and student political participation which is obtained by Pearson Product Moment correlation test for ratio, interval and ordinal data.Keywords: media dependency, political participation, relationships

EUPHEMISM USED BY MEN AND WOMEN IN ‘INDONESIA LAWYERS CLUB’ TV ONE SHOW: A LANGUAGE AND GENDER PERSPECTIVE

This research describes about how men and women used euphemism in ‘Indonesia Lawyers Club’ TV One show which limited to the types and functions of euphemism used by men and women. The source of data was obtained from transcript of the 4 videos aired on December 2017, Januari 208 and February 2018. From the analysis, there were 72 utterances contain euphemistic expression, 33 utterances delivered by men and 39 remarks spoken by women. In this show researcher found 9 types of euphemism, namely: metaphor, hyperbole, circumlocution, initialism, jargon, figurative expression, understatement, colloquial, and hypernym. From the types mention above, men mostly used euphemism in the type of understatement while women mostly prefer to use jargon. Furthermore, researcher found 5 function of euphemism in this show; euphemism as doublespeak, as a shield to avoid taboo and offense, as uplifting tool, to show solidarity or define certain group, and to entertain.

Strategi Retorika Verbal dan Nonverbal Karni Ilyas dalam Acara Indonesia Lawyers Club

<p>Karni Ilyas rhetorical strategy that astounds with the technique of persuasion through Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) serves impressions about the information in the form of event/occurrence law succeeded in attracting the attention of the community. This research aims to interpret the usage of rhetoric functions of verbal and nonverbal emcee ILC as a strategy of rhetoric. The design and type of research use descriptive analytics. This research was conducted comprehensively refers to the analysis of the rhetoric of verbal and nonverbal. Based on the results and discussion of the rhetoric of oral, nonverbal, obtained ILC events regarding the use of the rhetoric of verbal and nonverbal strategies as a presenter with the techniques of persuasion. Type of diction, diction in denotative, connotative, special, public, scientific, accessible, and the style of language used have a strategy that could affect listeners. The various elements of the selected non-verbal rhetoric serve to launch the process of policy within the host changes the listener. Therefore, an absolute necessity in communicating art an emcee who wanted to deliver a message delivered through the rhetoric form of speech (verbal) and rhetoric form of body language (nonverbal).</p>

TINDAK TUTUR ILOKUSI PESERTA DISKUSI DALAM ACARA ILC (INDONESIA LAWYERS CLUB) DI STASIUN TELEVISI TV ONE EDISI KASUS DUGAAN KORUPSI SETYA NOVANTO

This research is about the strategy of telling in the event of ILC (Indonesia Lawyers Club) in TV ONE which is said by the discussion participants on the topic about "Setya Novanto". This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. First, the type of speech acts of illocution most commonly found in the speech of the participants of the event discussion (Indonesia Lawyers Club) is an expressive act of 'criticizing' that is as much as 207 speeches. Second, the strategy of telling the story of the illocution spoken by the discussion participant in the event (Indonesia Lawyers Club), is to have the same amount of use of the strategy type that is in using the strategy of telling frankly with the positive politeness gesture and speaking vaguely, vague that is equally as much as 89 speech. Thirdly, the context of the use of the strategies described in the act of speech of illocution is most often found in the context of speech is the same speaker with speakers using the type of strategy speak with positive politeness gestures in expressive (criticizing) illustrated speech acts. Fourth, the impact of language proficiency on the use of vague speech strategies (BSS) is more likely to be used by public officials in the event (Indonesia Lawyers Club) as much as 41 the number of speeches in the context of the speech utterance as position with the speaker.
