Penerapan Manajemen Pendidikan dalam Memperkuat Karakter Siswa di Sekolah

This study aims to analyse the implementation of education management in strengthening students' character at school. Student character is an important aspect in the formation of a person with integrity, responsibility and good moral values. A qualitative method with a case study approach was used in this research. Data were collected using interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of this study show the integration of character education in learning, extracurricular activities, as well as habituation and acculturation activities. In the classroom, character values such as gotong royong, integrity and independence are instilled through active approaches and independent tasks. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, arts, and religion, strengthen religious, independent, and nationalist characters. In addition, habituation through routine (prayer, ceremony, gotong royong), spontaneous (5 S), and exemplary (discipline) activities are also applied to shape students' characters. Overall, SMPN 1 Mojowarno has succeeded in forming students who are intelligent and have good character.

Pembentukan Karakter Religius, Disiplin, dan Mandiri Siswa Taman Kanak-Kanak dalam Budaya Begibung pada Suku Sasak

"Begibung," a communal dining tradition long practiced by the Sasak community, has now become the focus of research in the context of character formation among students at kindergarten. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, with the study subjects comprising 20 students, 4 educators, and the head of the kindergarten. Research instruments include observation sheets, questionnaires, and interview guidelines, utilizing the Miles and Huberman method for data analysis to attain a comprehensive understanding of the effects of the communal dining program. The questionnaire comprises 5 items assessing religious character, 5 items for discipline, and 7 items for independence. Research findings indicate that the "Begibung" program in kindergarten effectively enhances religious character, achieving a commendable 89%. This outcome reflects the program's success in reinforcing religious values among students. Discipline character, reaching 74%, demonstrates a contribution in shaping student discipline through established rules. The independence character, marked at 65%, presents an opportunity for future enhancement in developing students' self-reliance, with a particular focus on personal initiative. The "Begibung" program in kindergarten proves to be highly effective in shaping the religious, disciplinary, and independent characters of students. This research makes a positive contribution to understanding the potential of the "Begibung" program as a character formation strategy in kindergarten.

Correlation and path coefficient analysis in chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) based on yield and yield related traits

An experiment was carried out in the field laboratory of the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Gazipur during the period from October 2018 to April 2019. The experiment was set up in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) and three replications were used. The aim of the study was to assess the character association and direct and indirect effect of independent characters on green yield of 28 chilli genotypes. A comparison between genotypic and phenotypic correlation coefficients revealed that the former was higher. At both the genotypic and phenotypic levels, correlation coefficients revealed that fruit yield per plant was significantly and positively linked with fruit length, fruit diameter, individual fruit weight, number of seeds per fruit, and plant height. Individual fruit weight had the most significant positive direct impact on fruit yield, followed by the number of fruits per plant, fruit diameter, and fruit length. Cultural proximity and gender representation: Why Italian women are drawn to Turkish TV serials

This study investigates why women in Southern Italy are attracted to Turkish TV serials, which may seem culturally distant at first glance. By conducting semi-structured interviews with 30 women, the research aims to uncover the specific elements of Turkish serials that resonate with these women. The findings reveal that participants appreciate the portrayal of strong, independent female characters in Turkish serials, which challenge their preconceptions about Muslim women and foster a sense of shared human experiences across cultures. The romantic ideals depicted, without overt sexualization, and the subtle reinforcement of traditional gender roles, align with the viewers’ cultural values, offering a comforting blend of familiarity and novelty. Additionally, the high production values and aesthetically pleasing depiction of Turkish settings and lifestyles enhance the appeal. These serials not only entertain but also prompt audiences to reflect on their own cultural and feminist issues. This study highlights the intricate dynamics of cross-cultural media consumption and its impact on cultural perceptions and viewer engagement.

The Educational Strategies of Islamic Boarding Schools in Instilling Entrepreneurial Spirit in Students at Pondok Pesantren Darul Amien, Jajag Gambiran Banyuwangi

Pondok Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) are one of the educational institutions that are able to produce intellectual generations with independent characters. This study aims to analyze: (1) the strategy of Islamic boarding schools in instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in students at the Darul Amien Jajag Gambiran Banyuwangi Islamic Boarding School, (2) the implementation of educational activities that instill an entrepreneurial spirit in students, and (3) the impact of entrepreneurial education on students at the Darul Amien Jajag Gambiran Banyuwangi Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative method, with researchers going directly to the location to obtain valid data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the strategy for instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in the Darul Amien Islamic Boarding School includes a planning strategy, a tactical strategy, and a behavioral pattern strategy; (2) the implementation of educational activities to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in students involves instilling a vision, commitment, self-confidence, discipline, readiness to take risks, concern for consumers, and creativity; (3) The impact of this entrepreneurship education is that students become more self-confident, have thoughts that are directed towards the future, dare to face challenges, and have creativity and innovation in creating new things. This forms a strong leadership spirit, which is important for becoming a successful entrepreneur.

Relationships Among the Bryophytes and Vascular Plants: A Case Study in Deep-Time Reconstruction

Relationships of the three bryophyte lineages (liverworts, mosses, and hornworts) to vascular plants is a pivotal question in the study of the origin and evolution of land plants. In recent decades, this question has been subjected to intense phylogenetic analyses using morphological characters, multigene DNA sequences, and genome structural characters. A tentative consensus, reached ten years ago, suggested that bryophytes are a paraphyletic group, with liverworts being sister to all other land plants and hornworts being sister to vascular plants. However, several more recent nuclear phylogenomic studies have concluded that bryophytes represent a monophyletic group that is sister to vascular plants. A discussion is presented here on strengths and weaknesses of different types of characters (morphological traits, nucleotide sequences, and genome structural arrangements) and their suitability for resolving deep phylogenetic relationships. Moreover, several criteria for credible phylogenetic reconstruction are proposed. Strong statistical support for reconstructed relationships should be derived from high-quality, independent characters selected for suitability to the particular question being addressed. The relationships inferred in a study should be congruent with those from as many other lines of phylogenetic evidence as possible. Any incongruities should be explicable by well-understood biological mechanisms. It is concluded that the relationships of the three bryophyte lineages to vascular plants should currently be viewed as unresolved. This is a difficult phylogenetic problem; the land plants underwent a rapid radiation a long time ago. Yet, further exploration of analytical methods and careful choice of characters should lead to the eventual elucidation of diversification patterns among early land plants.

Exposing Widow’s Psyche in a Fine Balance: A Study of Rohinton Mistry’s Widow Characters

Indian writers including both male and female novelists generally utilise novels to reveal the psychological conditions of the female sex with the help of their dramatic personas. One such Indian writer is Rohinton Mistry, who unveils the mental states of women through his independent female characters, especially fictional female singletons. Among his numerous works, A Fine Balance is a notable piece that falls into this category. The novel is about the life struggles of the widow heroine Dina Dalal after the death of her husband. Apart from Dina, Mistry has used many widow characters who play minor roles in developing the storyline. The paper aims to exhibit the mental fluctuations of the fictional widows that comprise the widow protagonist Dina Dalal. The investigation with the help of the female characters uncovers the psychological oscillations of the widows due to their singlehood statuses. It unmasks the emotional transpositions, loneliness, fears, regrets, hopelessness and mental instabilities of the widows. The analysis avails the psychoanalytic Literary Theory to support its arguments and to obtain its objectives. With the aid of the select prose narrative, the research brings out Rohinton Mistry’s typical representation of widow characters to have psychological problems because of losing their husbands. Hence, the article projects that despite picturing the fictional widows as persons who are bold and liberating, Mistry has represented them to be psychologically vulnerable rather than presenting them as mentally strong and stable individuals.

Nothing to it: a reply to Wheeler's "much ado about nothing".

Wheeler (Cladistics 2023, 39, 475) recently suggested that the issues with inapplicable characters in phylogenetic analysis can be dealt with directly by treating observed absences of a feature not in a separate absence/presence character but as insertion/deletion events in a complex character that describes the feature in all its variation; and that this dynamic homology view can be achieved by imposing a sequence or linear order on a set of characters and by analysing the resulting sequence character using custom alphabet tree alignment algorithms. As Wheeler observed, this approach can lead to considering inappropriate character states (such as a head state and a foot state) homologous. We show that it is also sensitive to the specific ordering assumption used and that such different character orders can lead to a preference for different trees. We present a simple four-taxon dataset with observations of absence, but no inapplicable characters or other kinds of character dependence, for which the dynamic homology framework gives different results to classic algorithms for independent characters, including an optimal tree with biologically impossible reconstructions at inner nodes (every terminal has a head but the inner nodes are headless). We show how these issues can be solved by removing the character ordering assumption that the approach requires. Doing so, the dynamic homology framework reduces in general to Maddison's (Syst. Biol. 1993, 42, 576) well-known proposal to deal with inapplicability using step matrix analysis of complex characters. If in addition costs are interpreted in terms of homology, it reduces to Goloboff et al.'s (Cladistics 2021, 37, 596) step matrix implementation for maximization of homology as applied to inapplicable characters. However, if used with homogeneous costs, as Wheeler suggested, it reduces to unordered analysis of such complex characters, which is known to treat tails that may share many observed features as irrelevant for establishing kinship when they differ in just one feature, e.g. colour.

This research is a qualitative research whose background is that there are still some students who still do not reflect Pancasila behavior both during learning and outside of learning. This study aims to analyze character strengthening through the application of Pancasila values ​​in thematic learning of science content at SDN 008 Samarinda Ulu. The technique used in this triangulation is triangulation of data sources to test the validity of the data. The results of research that has been carried out by researchers in class IVB SDN 008 Samarinda Ulu is that the teacher has applied Pancasila values ​​in the thematic learning of science content so that it influences student character. Its application is by getting students to pray, say hello, greet. The teacher gives freedom to students to express opinions, respect differences, help others, consult, and be fair when learning takes place which is integrated with strengthening religious, national, independent and mutual cooperation characters. Implementing creative activities for Class II students to foster independence.

This qualitative study aimed to explore the strengthening of independent characters among Class II elementary school students during the Period of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM). The research utilized observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques, with the principal, Class II teachers, and guardians of Class II students as subjects. The analysis revealed that four indicators for strengthening independent character were identified within the learning process, despite some suboptimal outcomes influenced by various factors, including students themselves, teachers, and parents. The main strategy employed to enhance independent character was the involvement of parents in providing reinforcement, along with the teachers serving as positive role models. The most frequently implemented indicator for independent character strengthening was completing tasks without disturbing others, employing critical thinking and problem-solving approaches. Moreover, teachers fostered independent characters throughout all learning activities and actively cooperated with parents. These findings highlight the importance of cultivating independent character in elementary schools, emphasizing the significance of self-reliance, critical thinking, and cooperative learning. The implications of this study can inform educators, parents, and policymakers in designing effective interventions to foster independent characters among elementary school students during challenging periods such as PPKM.

Estimation of genetic divergence and determining selection criteria in sesame (Sesamum indicum)

Twenty eight mutant lines of sesame were evaluated in randomized block design at Agricultural Research Station, Mandor, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, during kharif, 2018. ANOVA stated the existence of significant difference for all the characters studied. The percentage contribution towards genetic divergence was found highest for test weight followed by number of capsules/plant and seed yield/plant.Character association study indicated that simultaneous selection for the traits like harvest index, oil content, capsule length and number of capsules and direct selection for protein content, capsules/plant, length of capsule, days to maturity and harvest index will be advantageous for aiding yield improvement. Out of ten independent characters studied in path coefficient three traits, viz. number of capsules/plant, capsule length and harvest index expressed maximum directas well as indirect contributions through other characters on seed yield. Hence, these characters may be considered as important quantitative traits in sesame improvementprogramme and direct selection for these traits will be useful.

This study examines several children's songs by Pak Kasur regarding aspects of independent character for early childhood. The purpose of this study was to find and describe the value of independent characters contained in the lyrics of children's songs by Pak Kasur, and to find out how to teach singing Pak Kasur's songs as independent character development in early childhood. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with the type of library research. The researcher examines and analyzes the contents of the lyrics of several children's songs by Pak Kasur as a source of data related to aspects of the independent character of early childhood. The results of this study indicate that the cultivation of independent character values ​​for early childhood can be done through the media of children's songs, in this case the songs by Pak Kasur. The results of the implementation of the introduction of Pak Kasur's children's songs can be seen from the children's ability to serve their own needs.

This paper agrees with the crisis that college education faces related to Korean classical literature. In order to overcome this crisis, it suggests ways to effectively teach Korean classical novels. First, this paper investigates the current status of the curriculum related to classical novels in the departments of Korean language and Korean language education across the country. The thing that stands out the most is the increase in subjects regarding cultural contents. Accordingly, the author ran a curriculum that suggested students to create new cultural contents by taking sources from Korean classical literature. In the beginning of the curriculum, students analyzed worthy cultural contents in various fields. There are various types of cultural contents such as a web novel, web toon, movie, play, musical, drama, game and advertisement. Out of them, students chose contents based on classical literature, and investigated the features and factors of popularity. After that, they created new stories and character types that content consumers would be interested in. Many of these stories were about independent female characters, explorers and travelers, active communicators, characters who fall in love, and had a happy ending. In the “Reading Korean classical novels through key words” class, students can learn the features of Korean literature and the differences between classical literature and contemporary literature by investigating key words. They can think deeply about the subjects by choosing a key word out of several and figuring out how the keyword is shaped in a novel. By reading several classical novels, students can develop reading skills and get familiar with classical literature. Furthermore, they can develop writing skills by expressing how they can relate lessons from novels to their own lives.

A hugely popular anime called Violet Evergarden in 2018 tells the story of a young girl named Violet who lost her arms in a war, but fortunately regained robotic arms and started to help others write letters. In the process, she, who once knew only combat skills, gradually learned to express her emotions. Her story is a journey of seeking out the true meaning of love. The anime adaptation focuses on her growth and inner self, breaking the gender stereotype and showing Girl Power. This essay examines the feminist implications of Violet Evergarden, revealing its role in the growth of Japanese feminism by using Greimas' actantial model and the semiotic square following structuralism's theoretical thinking.

Golgi-apparatus genes related signature for predicting the progression-free interval of patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma

BackgroundWe aimed to build a novel model with golgi apparatus related genes (GaGs) signature and relevant clinical parameters for predicting progression-free interval (PFI) after surgery for papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).MethodsWe performed a bioinformatic analysis of integrated PTC datasets with the GaGs to identify differentially expressed GaGs (DE-GaGs). Then we generated PFI-related DE-GaGs and established a novel GaGs based signature. After that, we validated the signature on multiple external datasets and PTC cell lines. Further, we conducted uni- and multivariate analyses to identify independent prognostic characters. Finally, we established a signature and clinical parameters-based nomogram for predicting the PFI of PTC.ResultsWe identified 260 DE-GaGs related to PFI in PTC. The functional enrichment analysis showed that the DE-MTGs were associated with an essential oncogenic glycoprotein biosynthetic process. Consequently, we established and optimized a novel 11 gene signature that could distinguish patients with poorer prognoses and predicted PFI accurately. The novel signature had a C-index of 0.78, and the relevant nomogram had a C-index of 0.79. Also, it was closely related to the pivotal clinical characters of and anaplastic potential in datasets and PTC cell lines. And the signature was confirmed a significant independent prognostic factor in PTC. Finally, we built a nomogram by including the signature and relevant clinical factors. Validation analysis showed that the nomogram’s efficacy was satisfying in predicting PTC’s PFI.ConclusionThe GaGs signature and nomogram were closely associated with PTC prognosis and may help clinicians improve the individualized prediction of PFI, especially for high-risk patients after surgery.

Meromorphic cosets and the classification of three-character CFT

We investigate the admissible vector-valued modular forms having three independent characters and vanishing Wronskian index and determine which ones correspond to genuine 2d conformal field theories. This is done by finding bilinear coset-type relations that pair them into meromorphic characters with central charges 8, 16, 24, 32 and 40. Such pairings allow us to identify some characters with definite CFTs and rule out others. As a key result we classify all unitary three-character CFT with vanishing Wronskian index, excluding c = 8, 16. The complete list has two infinite affine series Br,1, Dr,1 and 45 additional theories. As a by-product, at higher values of the total central charge we also find constraints on the existence or otherwise of meromorphic theories. We separately list several cases that potentially correspond to Intermediate Vertex Operator Algebras.

Teacher’s Leadership n Developing Character of Early Childhood: Case Study at Harapan Bunda Kindergarten, Jambi City

The purpose of this article is to describe the role of teacher leadership as a model for early childhood character development, as well as the difficulties in developing children's character. The study uses a qualitative approach in describing situations from social reality. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, verification, and conclusion. This study concludes that the teacher's leadership role can shape the childhood independent character. Firstly, the role of teacher leadership in learning as a model of childhood independence for habituation. Secondly, there are childhood independent characters in daily activities. Thirdly, there are difficulties faced by teachers in realizing independent characters for children. This study recommends that teachers need to be given leadership reinforcement in early childhood character development so that they can develop optimally.
