This classroom action research aims to determine the improvement in students’ attitudes in terms of self-confidence through the Problem-Based Learning for Grade X students at SMA Tarakanita Citra Raya. This research, which employs a qualitative research method, processes the learning activities to develop students’ attitudes through group discussions, information analysis, and discussion results in class presentations. The increase in students’ self-confidence becomes a form of independent character development, aligning with the goals of the Pancasila student profile and as a key part of character development according to the Tarakanita Cc5+ Curriculum. Ultimately, using this model can bring about a change in students’ mindset regarding their valuable abilities, enabling them to manage their emotions in responding to opinions and feedback from other group members. This increase in self-confidence will greatly assist in realizing the material of Catholic Religious Education, namely being critical of the influence of Mass Media and Social Media. High self-confidence in students leads them to be able to see the positive and negative aspects of social media in their daily lives
