Integration of Calculator.oi Application in Improving Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Students in Elementary Schools

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Calculator.oi application integration in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes in Elementary Schools. This study focused on fourth-grade students at SDN 22 Ketapang and used a quantitative approach with an experimental method. In this study, the experimental method was applied to compare the differences in students' learning outcomes before and after using the Calculator.oi application. Learning outcome data were collected and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, after the normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed. The results showed a significant increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes after using the Calculator.oi application. Analysis of the differences between pre-test and post-test scores revealed that all students experienced significant progress in their understanding and achievement in mathematics. The significance value obtained from the statistical test was below 0.05, indicating that this application had a significant positive impact and was effective in improving students' learning outcomes. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the Calculator.oi application be integrated more widely into the mathematics learning process in Elementary Schools. The use of this application is considered an innovative and effective learning medium in supporting the understanding of mathematical concepts. Further research is recommended to involve a larger sample size and different class variations in order to obtain more comprehensive and representative results. In addition, exploration of students' perceptions regarding the use of this application as a learning tool is also important. This will provide a deeper understanding of how the Calculator.oi application can be accepted and utilized in a broader learning context.

Students' Creative Thinking Strategies As High-Level Thinking, Solving Hot Problems In Improving Mathematics Learning

Creative Thinking Strategy of Students as Higher-Order Thinking, Solving Hot Problems Under Mathematics Learning Improvement. In our observation during PLP at SMK 2 Pancasila Jember, all students in one flat improved their' creative thinking strategy To improve higher-order thinking in mathematics learning. Therefore, this condition results in an imbalance in learning practices. Thus, this study fills the imbalance gap by describing students' creative thinking strategies as higher-order thinking skills in improving mathematics learning. Results of the study: This can contribute knowledge for educators to manage teaching strategies that can improve mathematics learning, which refers to higher-order thinking skills for all levels of creative thinking. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The course is SMK 2 Pancasila Jember data collection, a test, observation, and interview. Data analysis is done using the data reduction method, presenting data, and concluding. The results of this study are descriptions of students' creative thinking strategies as higher-order thinking skills in improving mathematics learning, namely students' problems in planning detailed problems; students take time breaks to make a plan, identify the core of the problem, provide original ideas, provide alternative plan solving problems, combine previous ideas with question problems; operate and implement their plans by creating various solution original.

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DIRECT INSTRUCTION TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SATUAN WAKTU SISWA KELAS II SD

This study aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes of grade II elementary school students in Mathematics through the direct instruction model on the material of time units. The study adopted Classroom Action Research (CAR) with four (4) stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study were 44 grade II students of Elementary School 1 Lembursawah, consisting of 24 female students and 20 male students. Data collection tools used repeat tests and observations. The data analysis technique used was the recapitulation of students' pretest and posttest scores from cycles I and II. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the direct instruction model can improve Mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students. It can be seen from the students' completeness in cycle I of 68% increasing to 84% in cycle II. It means that student learning outcomes increase gradually from cycle I to cycle II by 16%. Therefore, direct instruction model can improve students' understanding of the content of time units in the Mathematics subject of grade II elementary school.

The Efforts to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Sequences and Series Materials Using a Problem Based Learning Model with a Differentiated Strategy

The failure to integrate differentiated learning in the classroom is the driving force behind this research. Mapping students’ learning needs is the first step in implementing individualized instruction in the classroom. Learning readiness, student interests, and learning profiles are three views on differentiated learning that can be used to map out students’ requirements. The purpose of this study is to enhance student learning experiences and results. Two devices are used for data collection: learning achievement exams and student activity observation sheets. Both descriptive statistical analysis and descriptive analysis were used to analyse the data. The average class score was 74 in the first cycle and improved to 84.4 in the second. Every student was able to meet the 75-point Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) set by the school. It is possible to enhance student learning activities and outcomes by combining differentiated learning with the Problem Based Learning model, according to the study’s findings. In addition to offering a learning environment that puts students’ needs first, problem-based learning activities also benefit formative and summative learning through the third step of differentiation.

The Effectiveness of Website-Assisted Learning Multimedia to Improve Mathematics Learning Achievement of Elementary School Students

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of web-assisted learning multimedia in improving Maths learning achievement among primary school students. This study used a quasi-experimental approach, using a pre-test and post-test design to measure students' learning achievement. Data collection was conducted using test instruments designed to assess learning outcomes in a structured and objective manner. The effectiveness of the web-based multimedia intervention was measured through the Normalised Gain (N-Gain) test, which evaluates the level of improvement in students' mathematics learning achievement. Differences in the dependent variable between the experimental and control groups were further analysed using Paired Samples t-test and Independent t-test. The results of the N-Gain test indicated that the experimental group showed significantly greater improvement in Mathematics learning achievement compared to the control group, with the experimental group achieving a medium category N-Gain score of 0.68, while the control group's score was categorised as low at 0.17. In addition, the Paired Samples t-test and Independent t-test showed significance levels below 0.05, further validating the substantial impact of the web-based multimedia on student achievement. These findings underscore the potential of web-based multimedia as an effective instructional tool to improve students' learning achievement, especially in the area of Mathematics. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge in educational technology and offers practical insights to enhance the learning process among young learners

Developing Digital Pocketbook Interactive Based on HTML-5 to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Interactive learning media have an essential role in realizing interesting and interactive mathematics learning, so they have the potential to optimize student learning outcomes. This research aims to develop and evaluate an Interactive Mathematics pocketbook in HTML5 format that can be used to improve student learning outcomes. This research and development uses a 4D model. This research found that elementary school students need and like mathematics pocketbooks that look attractive and have interactive features as a learning tool. The product validation test results obtained a final score from material and language experts of 86.47%, which means that the product reached the very feasible category regarding content quality, graphics, and language. Media experts gave a final score of 88.3%, which means that the product is very worthy in terms of content structure, appearance, ease of use, and ease of learning. The results of field trials also show that the media developed can improve student learning outcomes in the medium category with an n-gain score of 0.56. These findings indicate that the development of an Interactive Mathematics Handbook in HTML5 format with a 4D model can produce a valid and effective product used to support the learning process of elementary school students.

The Effectiveness of Matific Interactive Game Media to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Grade VII Students on the Matter of Integers

Math learning is often considered difficult by students, this requires the creativity of math teachers to innovate, one of which is by using interactive learning media such as Matific. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the use of Matific interactive game media was effective in improving the learning outcomes of seventh grade mathematics students at SMP Negeri 7 Padang on integer material. This study uses a qualitative method by giving a questionnaire. The results of the research on the use of interactive game media Matific has been running effectively in learning mathematics, especially integers and is able to improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the percentage of student questionnaire assessment results of 88.45% which means that Matific games are very effective as interactive learning media. This research contributes to the field of education in developing mathematics skills, increasing student engagement, and reducing student anxiety through educational games that utilize technology in the teaching and learning process. Student involvement in the mathematics learning process is related to increased student learning outcomes. For this reason, it is hoped that mathematics will no longer be considered a difficult lesson by students

Picture and Picture Learning Model in Improving Mathematics Learning Outcomes for Students at SDN Wonobodro 01 on Flat Shapes Matter

The problem in this research is that the learning outcomes of class II students at SDN Wonobodro 01 are still low in Mathematics on the topic of flat shapes. This is because the learning system provided by the teacher in class is less interesting, causing students to be less enthusiastic about participating in the learning provided. The aim of this research is to determine the increase in mathematics learning outcomes in flat shapes material using the picture and picture learning model for class II students in the first semester of SDN Wonobodro 01. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles and every cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research results showed that the picture and picture model was successful in improving student learning outcomes. This was shown by the results of the percentage of student completion in the pre-cycle of only 19.2% with an average class score of 53.1. Then, in cycle I it increased to 53.8% with an average class score of 64.8 and increased again in cycle II to 92.3% with an average class score of 90.7. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the picture and picture model in the material for building mathematical data was successful because student learning outcomes increased each cycle.

Song Media Improves Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students on Two-Dimensional Figures

The current problem is that mathematics is complex because it relates to formulas and arithmetic. This impacts the low mathematics abilities of elementary school students in Indonesia, so they must be improved. Based on this, this research aims to analyze the influence of song media on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this research were a total of 36 students. The method used to collect data is a test. The instrument used to collect data is the test question sheet. The technique used to analyze data is inferential statistical analysis. The results of the research show that the use of song media influences learning outcomes in flat-figure mathematics. The test results show that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who use song media and students who do not use song media in learning mathematics. It was concluded that song media can improve mathematics learning outcomes in third-grade students, especially in mathematics learning.

Application of STAD Model Cooperative Learning To Improve Mathematics Learning Activities of Grade VI Students of SDN XI No. 40 Blimbing, Malang Regency

The implementation of education in schools makes various kinds of lessons to students that must be taken in realizing their ideals. The subjects received and taught to students must be developed and improved in accordance with changes in the school curriculum. The purpose of learning mathematics is expected that students are able to provide knowledge to learn and understand mathematical concepts and be able to apply scientific methods that provide process skills to solve problems in everyday life. Based on research conducted by researchers for two weeks in the field from the 03rd to the 15th, researchers managed to collect some data that the number of samples studied was 26 students in a column and read the pressure in the table of the average value r product moments with a signification level of 5% we will find the number 0.388. This number shows the signification limit number, while the average calculated value of 0.8915 means that the relationship between the learning outcomes of cooperative students and non-cooperative groups through the STAD model cooperative learning is quite good. Because the calculated value obtained by r = 0.8915 means that jau is above the signification limit of 0.388. According to the results of the data analysis obtained, the relationship between the learning outcomes of cooperative students with non-cooperative groups with the cooperative learning strategy of the STAD model is very significant between the learning outcomes of cooperative students of group X with the learning outcomes of non-cooperative students of group Y.

Application of the Discovery Learning Model to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class XI Social Sciences

This study aims to improve the learning process to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS SMA Persada Pebenaan for the 2020/2021 academic year through the application of the Discovery Learning learning model. Collecting data involves observing the activities of teachers and students in action. This classroom action research consists of two cycles, each consisting of 3 meetings and one repetition. By applying the Discovery Learning model with a scientific approach, students must be more active in discovering concepts and materials to increase student learning activities. It was proven that the number of students who achieved KKM increased from cycle I to cycle II. In cycles I and II, students who pass the KKM have a success rate of 20% and 70%, respectively. Based on the research findings, the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI SMA Persada Pebenaan can be increased in the material for sequences and series using the Discovery Learning model.

Use of Ice Cream Stick Props to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes Addition and Subtraction Material For Grade I Students of MI Hidayatul Mubtadiin New

The background of this research was – low mathematics calculation operations, addition, and subtraction in mathematics subjects found in the learners at Islamic Primary School Hidayatul Mubtadiin New Kedungwungu. This Classroom Action Research applied the Kemmis & Taggar model, starting from planning, acting, observing, and reflecting to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of the learners. The population consisted of first graders of Islamic Primary School Hidayatul Mubtadiin New who could not do addition and subtraction operations. The population also became the research sample that received mathematics learning with ice cream stick properties for three cycles. The researchers collected the data using Observation, tests, documentation, and interviews to analyze descriptively. The results showed increased learning outcomes for the learners after using the ice cream stick property for learning mathematics within the materials of addition and subtraction. The results showed that the learners could reach the minimum mastery completion on each cycle. In cycle I, six learners, or 30% of learners, passed the minimum completion. In cycle II, the numbers increased to 13 learners, 65%. Then, in cycle III, the numbers improved to 17 learners, 85%. From the results, the researchers suggested schools provide proper property facilities and infrastructure for the teachers. The researchers also recommend that teachers apply the ice cream stick property to mathematics learning. The teachers must also consider the learners' skills.

The Talking Stick Model Improves Mathematics Learning Outcomes for Fourth Grade Elementary School Students

The problem that often occurs is that studying mathematics in elementary school seems boring, resulting in low learning outcomes. This research aims to analyze the application of the Talking Stick learning model to improve mathematics learning outcomes in fourth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is quantitative research. This research uses a non-equivalent control group essay method with a quasy-experimental type. The subjects of this research were 27 grade IV elementary school students, consisting of 13 male students and 14 female students. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, interviews, tests and observation sheets. The instruments used to collect data were observation sheets and test questions. The techniques used to analyze the data are qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and quantitative and inferential statistics. The research results show that applying the Talking Stick learning model, which pays attention to the number of members in each group, can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. In the initial test, six students (22%) got a score of 76; in the previous pretest results of the application of Talking Stick learning, there were nine students (33%). After the implementation of Talking Stick learning, 26 students out of the total got scores above the KKM. The t-test results also show differences in mathematics learning outcomes after implementing the Talking Stick learning model. It was concluded that the Talking Stick learning model can be used in mathematics learning.

Development of Video-Based Learning Media on SLETV Material to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes

This study aims to determine the impact of using video learning media on improving the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the study utilizes the ARCS research model, which encompasses student attention to the product (attention), assessment of product relevance (relevance), student confidence in using the product (confidence), and student satisfaction with the product (satisfaction). Data collection techniques include observations and structured questionnaires. The sample consists of eighth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The research procedure involves needs analysis, design, and development of the video learning media using the Renderforest application, implementation in classroom settings, and evaluation through collected data. Descriptive statistics summarize students' responses, while paired sample t-tests compare pretest and posttest scores to assess learning improvements. The study reveals that video learning media significantly enhances student engagement, comprehension of SLETV material, and overall satisfaction with learning. The findings underscore the importance of integrating motivational elements into educational media to foster better academic outcomes. This research contributes to understanding digital learning tools in education, offering practical insights for educators to enhance student learning experiences through innovative media.

Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Kelas I SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang

Quality education must be supported by the selection of appropriate resources and learning models. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model in improving Mathematics Learning Outcomes for Class I SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang. This research is quantitative research. The research design used was pre-experimental with a one group pretest posttest design system. The population in this study was 26 students with 14 female students and 12 male students. The sampling technique used was a saturated sample. Data collection techniques use tests. Data analysis techniques include normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The results obtained were that the pretest score obtained an average score of 59.23 with a posttest score of 80.00. Based on the results of the t-test, the sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The research results show an increase in learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning learning model in class I.

Culture can determine how students view things, including understanding mathematical material. Therefore, there is a need for a learning approach that is able to connect mathematics with culture, called Ethnomathematics. The concept of ethnomathematics makes a major contribution to improving mathematics learning. Ethnomathematics objects are cultural objects that contain mathematical concepts in a particular society, one of which is Peputiq China. One of the mathematical concepts contained in Peputiq Cina is the concept of geometry. This research aims to determine the various geometric concepts found in Chinese Peputiq. The method in this research uses qualitative research with an ethnographic research design. The data sources in this research use data from observation, documentation and interviews. This research aims to identify and describe the mathematical objects contained in the Chinese peputiq as one of the Mandar tribe's wedding customs. This exploratory research using an ethnographic approach is to explore the concept of geometric shapes in the creation of the Chinese peputiq frame. Through exploration, documentation, observation and interviews, geometric shapes can be found, both flat shapes and spatial shapes, including squares, rectangles, triangles, while geometric shapes include upright prisms and blocks.

ENHANCING MATHEMATICAL CREATIVE THINKING ABILITY: EXPERIMENTATION WITH REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION BY EMBEDDING ICE BREAKING IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

The effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in improving students' mathematical abilities has been examined through various research. Meanwhile, the use of ice-breaking (Ib), considered by experts and educational researchers as a highly beneficial tactic for improving learning effectiveness, had yet to be fully explored in the context of integration with RME. The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Ib-RME (RME integrating Ib) in enhancing students' mathematical creative thinking abilities (MCTA) at SMPN 14 Tarakan, Indonesia. Involving 64 seventh-grade students in a quasi-experimental design, the experimental group adopted the Ib-RME approach. In contrast, the control group followed the conventional teaching method employed by mathematics teachers in the class, including ice-breaking activities as normally implemented in the classroom setting. Data analysis using t-tests revealed a significant improvement in MCTA in the Ib-RME group, confirming the effectiveness of this approach. The research noted that conventional teaching also enhanced MCTA, although to a lesser extent than Ib-RME. These findings contributed to understanding the potential integration between RME and Ib in improving Mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in developing MCTA. The implications could serve as a basis for the development of innovative and effective teaching approaches in the mathematics education. Implementation in Improving Mathematics Learning Outcomes of the Elementary School Students Using Make a Match Cooperative Learning Model

This study employs a qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach to examine the mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students utilizing the Make a Match cooperative learning model. The participants include fifth-grade students from class VB and their homeroom teacher at the elementary school under investigation. Qualitative data collection involves direct observation and analysis conducted on-site. Data were gathered through observations and interviews with fifth-grade teachers at SD Negeri 55 Palembang, utilizing both primary and secondary sources. The secondary data encompassed various aspects related to the research focus, such as educational facilities, infrastructure, student enrollment, among others, obtained through document analysis. However, secondary data were not utilized in this research. Data collection methods encompassed observation, interviews, and documentation. To ensure data validity, a two-stage process involving observation protocols and alternative data validity analysis techniques was implemented. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings, based on observations and interviews conducted on Monday, January 15, 2024, at SD Negeri 55 Palembang with class VB students, revealed a notable issue: a lack of implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model by teachers. The study highlights the significant impact of this cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes, emphasizing its potential for fostering positive student engagement, motivation, and direction within the learning process.
