In the context of education, the success of an institution is not only determined by the quality of curriculum and teaching, but also by adequate working environment conditions. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of workstation design with a participatory ergonomics approach on employee productivity in the teachers' room and principal's room. The result of this study is that there is an influence of workstation design elements, layout and physical environment on the application of Participatory Ergonomics in improving employee productivity of SMK Az-Zawiyah Tanjung Batu. This is because the sig t value of the workstation design variable is 0,007 < α = 0,05, the layout variable is 0,012 < α = 0,05, and the physical environment variable is 0,009 < α = 0,05. There is a joint influence (simultaneously) elements of workstation design, layout, and physical environment on employee productivity SMK Az-Zawiyah Tanjung Batu this is because the sig value F variable workstation design, layout, and physical environment amounted to < 0,001 < α = 0,05.

The Influence of Work Discipline on the Work Productivity of Tahu SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) Employees, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency

The current study aims to investigate in depth the relationship between employee work discipline and work productivity levels in the Tofu MSMEs of Gadingrejo sub-district, Pringsewu district. A quantitative approach was chosen as the research method, with data collected directly from employees through questionnaires and observations, covering a total population of 30 employees. The data collected was then analyzed using multiple linear regression models. The results of the analysis reveal that the effect of work discipline on the work productivity of tofu UMKM employees, the work discipline variable has a significant effect on employee work productivity. It is hoped that the findings of this study can contribute to improving work discipline in Tofu MSMEs in Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency towards work productivity in employees, by further considering the shortcomings of developing employee performance. Of course it helps Tofu MSMEs improve Employee Productivity and Work Discipline that has been higher than before.

Impact of Demographic and Work-Related Variables on Job Engagement of Dental Faculty Members of Kerala, India.

This research aimed to examine the association of job engagement among dental faculties in Kerala with certain sociodemographic and job-related factors. Job engagement levels were assessed using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, and comparisons were performed using the Mann-Whitney U-test and Kruskal-Wallis test. The findings revealed significant differences in job engagement based on the type of college, level of autonomy, and provision for time-bound cadre promotions. It also provided insights into the nonsignificant effects of gender, age, experience, and income on job engagement. The study contributes to the existing literature on employee engagement and provides valuable insights for organizations aiming to improve employee productivity and overall performance. Future research can build upon these findings to explore additional factors influencing job engagement and expand the understanding of work engagement in different contexts.

Improving Employee Productivity Through Supervision: A Case Department of Manpower, Indramayu

In this study, the Manpower Depatment in Indramayu needs to evaluate factors that can increase the productivity of its employees, especially in providing services to the community with the aim of being able to provide excellent service to the community and participate in reducing unemployment in Indramayu, dynamically and stimulate the community to take advantage of every job opportunity, able to create jobs so as to obtain a decent income so that in the end a reliable, dynamic and independent workforce can be realized as soon as possible. The productivity of the employees of the Department of Labor in Indramayu, needs to be further reviewed in this study. This study uses a path analysis model with smartPLS software. The population of this study are employees of the Department of Manpower in Indramayu Regency. The research sample is all civil servants totaling 56 people. The research results prove that discipline and competence can affect employee supervision. Supervision is also proven to be able to increase employee productivity. Indirect influence from discipline and competence also prove capable of influencing employee productivity through supervision Department of Manpower in Indramayu. Variables that contribute the greatest supervision on work productivity.

Well-being as a tool to improve productivity in existing office space: Case study in Alexandria, Egypt.

The green building industry has significantly impacted the construction market, providing various sustainable solutions for the community. However, conventional green building standards have yet to adequately address occupant health and well-being, leading to challenges with performance. This has caused many businesses to take note of the latest report from the Bureau of Labour Statistics, which indicated that productivity in the US has dropped by the sharpest level since the 1940s. 1 Addressing these issues, organisations like International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) developed WELL Building Rating System (WELL), prioritising occupant health and well-being as critical components for improving performance and avoiding potential vulnerabilities brought about by sickness or pandemics. For this reason, this study will explore how to improve employee productivity within office buildings by bettering their overall health and well-being. A comprehensive data collection approach was employed in this paper, involving the analysis of office form evolution, and the evaluation of productivity attributes in office spaces. Resulting in identifying the top design-oriented features impacting employee productivity. Data was gathered from traditional office designs, trending successful office buildings, and the WELL Building Rating System to understand the concept of healthy building design. Showing thermal comfort, ventilation, and natural daylight significantly influence employees' productivity. Implementing conducted design features from WELL achieved an average of 20.2%-35.6% decrease in thermal gain throughout the year, a 20% increase in airflow, an average 2.4%-6.5% decrease in Air temperature, enhanced temperature distribution by 7%, and direct sunlight minimum reduction by 9% in Winter and maximum 21.9% in Spring. New design features in trending successful office buildings positively impact employee productivity. Particularly the outlined features by WELL Building Rating System led to identifying the most influential factors affecting occupant productivity. The results of this study informed recommendations for enhancing productivity in existing office buildings in Alexandria, Egypt.

The Role Of Workers Organization And Wage Level In Improving Employee Productivity In Electronic Companies In West Java, Indonesia

The role of workers' organizations is significant for companies and employees because it impacts wage levels and employee productivity. This study aims to analyze the effect of workers' organizations on wage levels and the effect of workers' organizations and wage levels on work productivity in electronic companies. This research is a type of quantitative research where data is collected by sharing questionnaires with 200 employees who work in the electronics sector in West Java, Indonesia. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM) using PLS.3 software. The results show that Workers' organization directly affects work productivity with significant (0.004 <0.05), Workers' organization directly affects wage level with significance (0.000 <0.05), Wage level directly affects work productivity with insignificant matter (0.986 >0.05), The indirect effect of Workers' organization on Work productivity is through Wage level. P Values are 0.986>0.05, and the impact is not significant.

AN ANALYSIS USING OWAS METHOD FOR IMPROVING EMPLOYEE WORK POSTURE IN OMAH KANDANG SMES

Omah Kandang SMEs is a SMEs in Surakarta that produce handmade cat cages. The customer of Omah Kandang SMEs scattered in several cities in Indonesia. Unfortunately, the booming demand is still difficult for producer to provide these, it caused by unproductive employee because of poor working postures. This research aims to determine the level of work risk for the employee using OWAS Method and providing suggestions of ergonomics work posture for improving employee productivity. OWAS Method is a method used for body measurement with dividing work activities in several time interval to avoid musculoskeletal disorder risk. The codes in this method includes back, arms, legs and load/use factor. In this research is known that employee work posture in weaving station fall into the category 2. It means unsafe for musculoskeletal system and need an improvement in the future. It is recommended to provide table for ergonomics work posture, so the employee become more productive.

Talent Management, Organizational Culture and Employee Productivity: The Moderating Effect of Employee Involvement

Aim - This study investigates the influence of talent management and organi-zational culture on employee productivity in the public sector, also it assessed the moderating effect of employee involvement in the relationship. Methodology- The study employed a quantitative approach in data collection and analysis. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire disributed among 158 purposively sampled permanent senior staff in University of Ilor-in, Nigeria. The analysis was conduucted using Partial Least Square Strcutural Equation Modelling. Findings- The findings indicate several significant relationships between tal-ent management, employee commitment, employee productivity, and em-ployee satisfaction. Limitations- First is the small sample size of only 158 respondents from the public service. This small sample size may not accurately represent the views and experiences of employees from other industries or sectors and may limit the generalizability of the findings. Second, the study was conducted with a specific population of public service employees which may not be applicable to other sectors or organizations. Third is that the study relied on self-reported data from a survey, which may be subject to bias. Participants may have provided responses that they believed were socially desirable, rather than accurate reflections of their true beliefs and experiences. Practical implications- Public sector organizations should focus on imple-menting effective talent management practices, fostering a positive organisa-tional culture, and involving employees in shaping the culture in order to improve employee commitment and satisfaction. Further, the findings high-light the importance of focusing on employee commitment and improving employee productivity. More so, the rate at whihc employees are involved in the organization has an impact on the relationship between the organizational culture and employees’ productivity. Originality/value- The study contributes to literature by exploring how talent managment influences employee productivity, while investiating the critical moderating role of employee involvment.

THE ROLE OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW AT XYZ UNIVERSITY

Transformational leadership has become an important subject of research in the field of management and organizational psychology, due to its powerful influence on individual and group performance. The method used in this study is the search for scientific articles in leading academic databases. Inclusion criteria were established to select articles relevant to this research topic, i.e. research explaining the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance at XYZ University. After passing the selection process, articles that meet the inclusion criteria are taken as research samples. The results of this systematic literature review show that transformational leadership has a significant positive impact on employee performance at XYZ University. Several studies have found that transformational leadership is positively associated with productivity, work quality, job satisfaction, and employee organizational commitment. Previous research has shown that transformational leadership affects employee performance through several mechanisms. First, transformational leadership encourages employees to adopt a strong organizational vision, which provides clear goals and direction. Second, transformational leadership creates a work environment that supports employees' personal and professional development, which increases their motivation and commitment to the organization. Third, transformational leadership builds strong interpersonal relationships between leaders and employees, which improves trust, communication, and collaboration. In addition, this literature review also identified several contextual factors that can moderate the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. These factors include organizational culture, organizational structure, and individual characteristics of employees. In an organizational culture that supports innovation and participation, transformational leadership can have a stronger impact on employee performance. Similarly, flexible and empowering organizational structures can enhance the effects of transformational leadership on employee performance. In addition, individual characteristics such as motivation and personality can also influence the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. The findings of this study show that transformational leadership has an important role in improving employee performance. Organizations need to understand the importance of transformational leadership and apply it in their context to improve employee productivity and success. However, more research is needed to understand more deeply the mechanisms and contextual factors that influence these relationships, as well as test their effects in different organizational contexts.

Proposing Performance Review Method to Improve Employee Productivity in PT MAPI

Objectives of this study are to find the employee and management perception related to the employee productivity in PT MAPI and how impactful the employee performance review that produces an annual reward to the level of employee productivity at work, and to develop current performance review method which will be used in the future to boost employee productivity. The author use qualitative techniques to gather information from relevant stakeholders, from HRGA staff and related managers. The study found that of the qualitative interview, it provides insight to the company that the existing performance review method still has many deficiencies that need improvement in terms of preparation and implementation and monitoring of the follow-up results of the performance review. In order to address issues with the performance review process currently being used by the company, PT MAPI must review the current process so that improvements can be made from changes to the performance review process, which, based on the results of the interviews, will impact employee productivity.

Maintaining and improving employee productivity is one of the efforts that can be done to enhance the company's success. To ensure that the quality of employee productivity is maintained, the company needs an information system that can manage employees and provide services to all employees. The problems faced by PT. Intinusa Selareksa includes the current attendance system that uses a barcode scanner. The attendance system has several weaknesses such as damage to the barcode scanner device, making it difficult to read the barcode code on employee identification cards, and many cases of lost or misplaced employee identification cards. Another problem faced is the non-computerized managerial activities such as the leave, permit, and overtime application process. This causes difficulties for the HRD department to provide information quickly and accurately because the report-making process is still manual. This research aims to obtain a system design result and develop a web-based attendance and leave data processing information system for employees. The system development method used in this research refers to the waterfall method. The stages of this research include analysis, design, implementation, and system testing. The system design uses Unified Modelling Language (UML). A website-based information system can present information related to employee administration management, specifically aimed at improving services in the HRD department

Effect of Job Crafting on Faculty’s Job Satisfaction and Performance; The Moderating Role of Perceived Organizational Support.

Job crafting is a strategy in human resource management that aims to improve employee productivity and job performance. It focuses on the relationship between employees' perceptions of their workplace and their satisfaction with their job. The JD-R theory, which states that employees perform better when they have access to necessary job resources and demands, was used to conduct a study using a cross-sectional research design. A survey was distributed to university faculty using online methods, and the results showed a positive relationship between job crafting and employee performance and job satisfaction. Additionally, the study found that Perceived Organizational Support plays an important role in the relationship between job crafting and job satisfaction. These findings suggest that human resource managers can use job crafting as a tool to improve employee outcomes and understand their needs.

In general, productivity is defined as the relationship between the real anf physical ( good or services 0 with the actual input. Or in other words, productivity is a measure of produvtive efficiency. A comparison between the output and input or output divided by input, as you well know, there are some important factors that can determine the goals and improve employee productivity, namely supervision, discipline an motivation to work.
 The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of simultaneous delivery of supervision, discipline and motivation to work on the productivity of employees working Toserba Yogya Sukabumi, to determine the effect of partial supervision, discipline and motivation to work on the productivity working in Toserba Yogya Sukabumi.
 This research method is a quantitative research study that is based on data in this form
 of numbers – the numbers are processed by statistical analysis for influence between variable and sample use are as many as 77 sample. Testing instrument to test the validity an d realiability. Statistical method of data analysis to help management with the program SPSS ( Statistic Packag for Soail Science ).
 The result showed that the regression equation is obtained as follow : Y = 0.131 +
 0.245X1 + 0.594 X2 + 0.16+2 X3. Effect of control ( X1), the discipline of work (X2), and work motivation (X3) together on the productivity of labor ( Y) is shown by regression of X1, X2 and X3 to Y at r = 0.864.

Achieving sustainability in South African commercial properties: the impact of innovative technologies on energy consumption

PurposeThis study aims to examine the concept of innovative technologies and identify their impacts on the environmental sustainability of commercial properties in South Africa. This slow adoption is attributed to South Africa’s energy building regulation, SANS 204, which does not promote energy-conscious commercial property development. Furthermore, it was observed that buildings waste significant amounts of energy as electrical appliances are left on when they are not in use, which can be prevented using innovative technologies.Design/methodology/approachThe researchers attempted to evaluate the impact of innovative technologies through an overarching constructivist mixed-method paradigm. The research was conducted using a multi-case study approach on green buildings which had innovative technologies installed. The data collection took the form of online, semi-structured interviews, where thematic analysis was used to identify emergent themes from the qualitative data, and descriptive statistics was used to evaluate the quantitative data.FindingsIt was found that implementing innovative technologies to reduce the energy consumption of commercial buildings could achieve energy savings of up to 23%. Moreover, a commercial building’s carbon footprint can be reduced to 152CO2/m2 and further decreased to 142CO2/m2 through the adoption of a Photovoltaics plant. The study further found that innovative technologies improved employee productivity and promoted green learning and practices.Originality/valueThis research demonstrated the positive impact innovative technologies have on energy reduction and the sustainability of commercial properties. Hence, facility managers should engage innovative technologies when planning a commercial development or refurbishment.

The impact of industry 4.0 technologies on the environmental sustainability of commercial property by reducing the energy consumption

This research examined the concept of industry 4.0 technologies (IT4) and identified the effects that they have on the environmental sustainability of commercial properties in South African. The extensive literature review revealed that IT4 used to reduce the energy consumption of commercial properties is not widely adopted in South Africa. This could be attributed to South Africa’s energy building regulation, SANS 204, which provides the minimum energy saving specifications for local building requirements. It was discovered that only green buildings implemented industry 4.0 energy-saving technologies to reduce their energy consumption above the SANS 204 standards. Furthermore, it was found that buildings waste large amounts of energy which can be prevented through the use of industry 4.0 energy-saving technologies. The researchers attempted to evaluate the impact of IT4 on the energy consumption of South African commercial properties through an overarching constructivist paradigm. The research was conducted using a multi-case study approach, utilising qualitative and quantitative data on green buildings which have IT4 installed. Descriptive statistics was used to analyse the quantitative data (energy consumption), while qualitative data was collected through semi-structured interviews for an in-depth analysis. The research findings revealed that IT4 could reduce a commercial building’s energy consumption by as much as 23%. The study also found that IT4 reduced a building’s carbon footprint and improved employee productivity. This paper would provide value to developers and landlords who have limited information regarding the factors around the implementation of IT4.
