DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS IN PRACTICAL COURSES FROM GENERAL EARTH KNOWLEDGE

In this article, the role and importance of practical training in General Earth Science in the development of professional training of future geography teachers in higher educational institutions is highlighted. It reveals the achievements that can be achieved through the proper organization of practical training, the theoretical knowledge that students should acquire, educational tools, and the issues of the proper organization of independent work of students.

The modern strategy for the development of medical and pharmaceutical education in the Russian Federation has a practice-oriented approach. In the implementation of this approach when studying at a medical university, it is important not only to form the competencies of future medical doctors among students, but also to form the interest of employers of medical organizations in the training of future specialists. The aim of the study was to analyze the opinions of graduate students of the pediatric faculty and employers of medical and preventive institutions regarding the importance of practical training in the education of highly qualified specialists and solving staffing issues. The research was carried out by a questionnaire method. The findings underscore the importance of practical training, both in the opinion of future doctors and employers. Practical training enables the student to implement theoretical knowledge in practice, creates the clinical thinking of a pediatrician, promotes a smoother transition from student to practicing specialist with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in his practice. The analysis of employers' opinions revealed difficulties among students in resolving conflict situations and performing emergency aid algorithms. The importance of the target basis of training, which creates mutually beneficial conditions for a young specialist and a medical organization, is noted. The step-by-step acquaintance realized during the target learning framework contributes to solve the problem of staff shortages in the Healthcare of the region.

Challenges of turning medical education and clinical training into e-learning during the Corona epidemic - and the experience of the Faculty of Medicine at the Free University of Aleppo in the north of Syria – A theoretical study

After most universities and medical colleges saw evidence of the possibility of the Corona crisis continuing, and then the impossibility of continuing to postpone the study, they resorted to the (distance education) option, and one of the most prominent challenges faced by the College of Medicine at the Free University of Aleppo - like other developing countries - was the problem of switching to distance education. After in general, and how to face the difficulties and the effects resulting from the suspension of attendance on the practical and clinical aspects in particular, given the importance of practical training in the College of Medicine, which creates real fear and a logical question about the future doctors’ lack of the necessary clinical skills, as it was known - as it was training. This review aims to study the challenges posed by online education in medical education, and then what are the solutions and proposals to overcome these challenges in the light of the experiences of a number of countries (developing, developed and high-income) to benefit from the results it reached in the event of having to resort to education Telemedicine The study concluded that there is a great similarity between the challenges in low-income countries because e-learning is new in them, and the most important of these challenges is the lack of acceptance of the idea of ​​e-learning, especially at the beginning of the crisis, limited access to computers, limited infrastructure, high costs, and unfamiliarity with Some teachers and students are using e-learning. While the results in developed and high-income countries were encouraging to continue e-learning, both in terms of the mechanisms by which it was implemented, or in terms of student and teaching staff satisfaction, which calls for the conclusion of the importance of e-learning in crisis conditions in addition to the possibility of benefiting from it in some aspects, such as when Lack of teaching staff in some specializations, even after returning to traditional education face to face. However, the impact of e-learning in practical and clinical aspects still needs to be evaluated further in the future.

Evaluation of the Interprofessional Spiritual Care Education Curriculum in Australia: Online.

Spiritual care is a component of quality palliative care, but healthcare providers have reported lack of training as a barrier to its provision. This paper describes the evaluation of the Interprofessional Spiritual Care Educational Curriculum (ISPEC)© which is a six-module evidence-based curriculum developed for teaching interprofessional spiritual care based on a generalist-specialist model of spiritual care. The course was run online in 2020 and attended by 20 healthcare workers who were invited to join the evaluation. Questionnaires were completed by participants before the training program (baseline), immediately after the training (post), and 3 months following the end of the program (follow-up). After the follow-up questionnaires, participants were invited to join a Focus Group to expand on their responses. Descriptive and exploratory statistical analysis was performed on quantitative data, and qualitative data was subjected to Thematic Analysis. Exploratory data analysis showed that self-reported competence, confidence, and comfort in providing spiritual care significantly improved following training (p = 0.002) and were maintained over time (p = 0.034). In qualitative analysis, the main themes were: (1) overwhelmed by content; (2) the importance of practical training; (3) spiritual care is for everyone; (4) spiritual care should come from the heart; (5) training needs to be inclusive; and (6) spirituality is culturally specific. This article describes an evaluation of the ISPEC© spiritual care training course administered to an Australian healthcare cohort using an online format. These preliminary findings suggest that the ISPEC© program is effective in improving the ability of healthcare professionals to provide spiritual care. More work is needed to improve the cultural relevance of the program in Australia.

In this article it is discussed the essence of communicative competence of schoolchildren, which manifests itself as the ability to perceive and interpret works of art, as well as dialogical interaction in artistic activity. The authors emphasize that the effectiveness of development communicative competence of students is possible only when students realize the essence of communicative activity, which consists not only in the ability to understand and properly broadcast information, but also involves an active listening of the interlocutor and empathy, reflexive awareness of meaningful content. It is determined the role of musical art in the development of communicative competence in the process of musical activity and the interpretation of musical works. The peculiarity of the development of communicative competence of students at music lessons is also connected with creative aspects of musical activity, namely, with the stimulation of fantasy and imagination of students, improvisation and experimentation. It is proposed the structure of readiness of future teachers of musical art for the development of communicative competence of students, which includes content, procedural and reflexive component. There are determined the primary and subordinate pedagogical conditions which are necessary for effective process of professional training of the future teacher of musical art. It is concretized the pedagogical conditions which ensure the readiness of future teachers for the development of communicative competence of students, in particular, the importance of practical training, dialogic interaction and reflexive teaching methods. It is emphasized that the teacher’s ability to communicate with students through means of musical art, the translation of their own experience ofartistic and pedagogical communication, promotes the development of communicative competence of schoolchildren, their personal growth, the formation of value orientationsand the development of musical and aesthetic culture.

Strategies Used by Saudi EFL Students to Determine the Meaning of English Words

This study investigated the strategies which first-year Saudi university EFL students used to derive the meaning of unfamiliar words while reading English texts. Using cluster sampling method, participants chosen to be included in the study consisted of six male and six female classes (120 male and 120 female students) of the preparatory year deanship students at King Saud University, 2009-2010. Following the administration of a vocabulary test as the instrument, descriptive statistics and ANOVA tests were used to analyze the collected data. Results revealed that the students were weak in using the right strategies in guessing the meaning of unknown vocabulary. The use of a combination of two or more strategies was found to result in a better correct guessing rate, but few students tended to use this technique. The results support the importance of practical training in when and how to use various strategies: students need to be given regular practice in order to learn how to use them most effectively. Highlighting the main strategies which students use to correctly derive the meaning of words, the findings indicate EFL teachers should train their students in the use of a variety of strategies for guessing the meaning of unfamiliar words.

DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL WORK AND CORE SUBJECTS OF SOCIAL WORK EDUCATION IN THREE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

The goal of the paper is to analyse the development of social work profession and studies in three European countries: Greece, Germany and Lithuania. The comparative method is used. The objects of the analysis are: the origin of social work and its education, foundation of fist schools, and their creators, further development of education, levels and duration of social work education, credits system, the core subjects of studies, practical work and specializations. The findings show that there is a lot of in common, as well as different in the area of social work. Commonalities of social work development were related mostly to each country's social, economical, political transformation that resulted in great changes in terms of the need of professional help and the acceptance of social work profession. Meanwhile differences mainly occurred when analysing the time of emergence of a particular stage and the rapidity of development. It was observed that commonalities in Germany, Greece and Lithuania lie mainly in core subjects of social work, importance of practical training, as well as in numerous specializations offered. Differences come about when looking at the formal system that is based on undergraduate and graduate cycles, and the credits system.
