The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of the book "Al-Adab Al-Shaghir" by the author Abdullah Ibn Al-Muqaffa, and identify the educational context of the texts of this book. This study uses an inductive approach to extrapolate Arabic texts and extract research materials and descriptive-analytical (content analysis) To analyze. The author focuses on social behavior and discusses topics including the importance of self-discipline and self-control and the importance of friendship and positive social relationships. It also emphasizes ethical behavior and the importance of moral values, personal relationships, and social responsibility. He discusses educational issues with reason, wisdom, and literature, which increases the influence of his philosophy on readers and contributes to establishing educational values in society. The study results also show that the content and values of education, the most prominent of which are the love of knowledge, choosing good friends, Honesty and integrity, and their role in encouraging personal and social growth, Self-awareness, and self-control. This book contains many rhetorical methods with the educational implication that a wise person must be at odds with himself and judge himself. Among the most prominent educational means in Ibn al-Muqaffa's texts are education by example, the need for ethics and discipline (education) and its role in the context of watering the mind, and developing society to benefit from these contents in raising children in the current era, and it is recommended that these values need to be included in educational books so that pre-university students can contribute to instilling values and purifying the minds of the younger generation.

Qualitative Analysis of the Lived Experience of Reproductive and Pediatric Health Care in the Military Health Care System.

Persistent inequities exist in obstetric and neonatal outcomes in military families despite universal health care coverage. Though the exact underlying cause has not been identified, social determinants of health may uniquely impact military families. The purpose of this study was to qualitatively investigate the potential impact of social determinants of health and the lived experiences of military individuals seeking maternity care in the Military Health System. This was an Institutional Review Board-approved protocol. Nine providers conducted 31 semi-structured interviews with individuals who delivered within the last 5 years in the direct or purchased care market. Participants were recruited through social media blasts and clinic flyers with both maximum variation and homogenous sampling to ensure participation of diverse individuals. Data were coded and themes were identified using inductive qualitative research methods. Three main themes were identified: Requirements of Military Life (with subthemes of pregnancy notification and privacy during care, role of pregnancy instructions and policies, and role of command support), Sociocultural Aspects of the Military Experience (with subthemes of pregnancy as a burden on colleagues and a career detractor, postpartum adjustment, balancing personal and professional requirements, pregnancy timing and parenting challenges, and importance of friendship and camaraderie in pregnancy), and Navigating the Healthcare Experience (including subthemes of transfer between military and civilian care and TRICARE challenges, perception of military care as inferior to civilian, and remote duty stations and international care). The unique stressors of military life act synergistically with the existing health care challenges, presenting opportunities for improvements in care. Such opportunities may include increased consistency of policies across services and commands. Increased access to group prenatal care and support groups, and increased assistance with navigating the health care system to improve care transitions were frequently requested changes by participants.

Naruto anime is one of the anime that can be used as an educational watch that supports us in teaching character education to the younger generation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the psychology of the main characters of Naruto anime and find out the influence of Naruto anime in shaping characters and values in the audience. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, watch-listen-record and read-record. From this research, it can be found that there are several psychological aspects of Naruto characters, namely 1) loneliness and rejection, 2) social care, 3) motivation and determination, 4) self-development, 5) courage and confidence, 6) empathy, and the influence of the anime in shaping the character and values in the audience, namely 1) inspiration to overcome obstacles, 2) the importance of friendship, 3) face conflict peacefully, 4) courage to oppose injustice. The conclusion obtained is that the character Naruto shows a rich journey in terms of psychology, from a difficult childhood to strong self-development. In addition, Naruto Anime can inspire and shape characters and values in its audience.

Importance of Friendship and Minimal Group Membership in 4–6-Year-olds’ and 9–12-Year-olds’ Sharing Behavior in China

Strategies for favoring close others, such as friends and in-group members, benefit individuals and society. Although younger and older children apply these sharing strategies, how they integrate these relationships remain understudied. Friendship and group membership sometimes conflict (e.g. a friend from another, even a rival group), driving the question of how children behave in such situations. To address this question, this preregistered study recruited 121 4–6-year-olds and 94 9–12-year-olds from a middle-class community in China. A 2 (friend vs. stranger) by 2 (in vs. out-group) between-subjects design was applied per age group. Participants were asked to share seven objects with a recipient, who was either a stranger, or a previously nominated friend and from an in- or out-group (manipulated in the Minimal Group Paradigm). The results showed that children in both age groups shared more with friends than with strangers. However, only 4–6-year-olds shared more resources with in-group members than with out-group ones. Moreover, 4–6-year-olds did not distinguish between an out-group friend and an in-group stranger, while 9–12-year-olds shared more with an out-group friend relative to an ingroup stranger, indicating that friendship outweighs minimal group membership only among 9–12-year-olds. Furthermore, there was an interaction between age and minimal group membership, implying a decrease in the minimal group effect between 4–6-year-olds and 9–12-year-olds. Accordingly, the implications of friendship and minimal group effects, and their relative influence on sharing during childhood are discussed.

Attachment networks in young adults.

This study investigated attachment networks in a sample of Italian young adults. Attachment networks were defined in terms of attachment functions, attachment strength, the presence of a primary figure, and full-blown attachments. Participants were 405 young adults, and we studied the effects of the demographic variables of gender, romantic status (whether single, involved in a romantic relationship for less or more than 24 months) and employment (whether university students or workers) on the structure of attachment networks. Participants were asked to answer the WHO-TO questionnaire, and derived indexes were analyzed using mixed ANOVAs, linear and logistic regression techniques. Results indicated that while friends still had great importance in the network, partners were acquiring increasing relevance; at the same time, parents, and particularly mothers, remained central figures, particularly for the secure base function. Regarding the demographic variables, we observed that women reported stronger bonds with their mothers than men did, while the importance of friends was higher for men than for women. Additionally, our study supports previous findings underlining the importance of romantic partners in this phase of life, with participants involved in romantic relationships for longer than 24 months showing a fully developed attachment bond with their partners. Finally, for workers, the transfer of functions from the family-of-origin to external figures seemed to be fostered. In conclusion, young Italian young adults go through a phase of intensive restructuring of attachment bond networks, particularly in relation to the consolidation of romantic relationships and work commitments.

Paving the Path to Wellness for Stroke Survivors: A Lifestyle Medicine Group Intervention.

Stroke is the leading cause of disability and the second-most leading cause of mortality. Stroke has both physical and psychological impact on the lives of stroke survivors. Lifestyle modifications have a pivotal role in post-stroke management care. The Paving the Path to Wellness Program (PPWP) is a 12-week program offered to stroke survivors at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center following discharge. The program encompasses the following domains: physical activity, nutrition, stress management, time-outs, energy, sleep, purpose, and social connections. The purpose of this pilot study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the PPWP on the recovery of stroke survivors. Three stroke survivors who participated in the program were interviewed following completion of the program. The results showed the PPWP had a positive impact on physical health (e.g., increased physical activity, weight loss, nutrition awareness, and better stress management); helped to create a new purpose (e.g., happiness, satisfaction, and well-being); and improved the social life of the participants (better awareness and importance of friends and family). Next steps are to study this program in a larger stroke population and examine long-term effects.

Women, Hospitality and The Intimate Politics of International Socialism, 1955–1965

Abstract In the 1950s, a commitment to democratic socialism connected networks of intellectuals, activists and political operators in both Europe and Asia. Many of these were women, who built informal and intimate networks of solidarity that underpinned the movement. The rich set of correspondence between European and Asian socialist women speaks to their role as connectors of global and local civil society within international socialist circuits. It also indicates the importance of friendship, mobility and hospitality as a crucial factor in sustaining such networks, as well as building the trust that facilitated the exchange of subversive information. While Asia was seen as the great hope of international socialism in the 1950s, by the middle of the 1960s, many of its socialist parties had imploded, pointing to the limits of international socialism for Asian women amidst global anti-communism and the rise of authoritarian states. Transnational socialist networks nonetheless helped further both European and Asian women’s campaigns for gender equality, development and democratic socialism in decolonizing Asia, adding vital new dimensions to the history of internationalism.

Brief Reports: Influence of Friendship on Loneliness Among Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Japan.

Previous studies have reported that people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have higher levels of loneliness than neurotypical (NTP) people, most likely because of their difficulties in social communication with their predominantly NTP peers. However, direct investigations on the causal influence of friendship on their feelings of loneliness is scarce. In the current study, using the causal mediation analysis, we investigated whether friendship among ASD individuals influences their feelings of loneliness, especially during adolescence when the importance of friendship is typically most elevated. Furthermore, we examined whether individual differences in autistic behavioral features or age affect feelings of loneliness or the qualities of friendship with linear regression analyses. The results demonstrated that the higher levels of loneliness in adolescents with ASD were mediated by one aspect of friendship, companionship. We also found that positive aspects of friendship, but not negative aspects, influence the feelings of loneliness in both ASD and NTP populations. One subcategory of the measured autistic trait, difficulty in imagination, which is associated the ability to consider another's perspective, had a negative relationship with the positive aspects of friendship in the ASD group, but not in the NTP group. These findings indicate that the quality of the positive aspects of friendship is similarly important for both adolescents with ASD and NTP adolescents, but the autistic behavioral features could interfere with the experience of such positive friendships.

Influence of Social Capital on the Health of Individuals

Social capital consists of characteristics of the relations and the interaction that happens between individuals and groups. It is perceived as an individual level where personal resources can emerge in various social networks where individuals have good access to support and services involved. On several occasions, social capital has been perceived as a factor that can affect health through numerous mechanisms. These are well-known norms and attitudes that influence health psychological networks and increases access to quality health systems thus enhancing self-esteem. The objective of this paper, therefore, was to assess the influence social capital has on the health of individuals. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design and targeted 840 respondents from 7 countries across sub-Saharan Africa. Data was collected through structured questionnaires and interview guides, which were pilot-tested before use and utilized the Cronbach alpha test on SPSS to measure both reliability of the research tool and the internal consistency. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics which includes correlation analysis aided by Statistical Package for Social Science for quantitative while the qualitative data was analyzed using narrative and thematic methods. Results showed that social capital indeed has an influence on the health of individuals. 54% of the respondents reported having fallen below their economic status at some point in their life and further provided insights on the importance of friends and family at this point in their life. 98% of them confirmed receiving aid and support (both moral and financial) from their family and social networks and this eased a lot of stress and further supported them in their search for new channels of earning their livelihoods. Also, 69.1% of the respondents reported belonging to a particular social network, among them, 95% confirmed that in multiple occasions, the social network influenced their health-seeking behaviors, diet, and general hygiene, eating and sleeping habits, etc. while noting that the network provides support (both financial, moral, care, etc.) to its members and thereby reducing the effects of stress on the people who are part of the social networks as well as the likelihood of becoming sick. The respondents gave social capital an average rating of 3.7 out of 5 showing a 74% effect on the health of individuals. The correlation analysis between social capital and health of individuals demonstrated a degree of positive correlation, with an estimated average of 0.736. In conclusion, the study showed that social networks are the bedrock of social support, and this is helpful and most impactful on the health status of individuals. Social capital is therefore a potentially crucial characteristic of the social and cultural environment that ultimately influences the patterns of health outcomes.

Research thesis titled Performance Improvement Based Human Resources Leadership Style, Confidence and Commitment which aims to examine and analyze the effect of the variable leadership style on employee confidence, work commitments and performance of human resources . Besides, this research examines and analyzes the influence of variables of trust employees to work commitments and to test and analyze the effect of trust and commitment of employees working on the performance of human resources. This research was conducted by survey method by distributing questionnaires to 100 employees at the Regional Employment and Training Agency. Sampling using census method, to test the hypothesis using SEM with Partial Least Squares application program (PLS). The analysis showed that the style of leadership and a significant positive effect on employee confidence, work commitments and performance of human resources, and employee confidence and a significant positive effect on employee job commitment and confidence while work commitments and a significant positive effect on the performance of human resources . Therefore, the conclusion of this research is that leadership style is always friendly with subordinates, involving subordinates in decision -making and the importance of friends with common interests subordinate can increase the confidence of human resources, commitment to work and the performance of human resources. Besides, increased confidence and commitment of human resources work can improve the performance of human resources.

External factors and their effect on the learning of English as a foreign language among students with visual impairments

This qualitative study addressed the external factors that influence the experience of learning English as a foreign language among students who are visually impaired (VI). Overall, 28 university students with VI were interviewed about their experience of learning a foreign language (English) both in high school and in university. Three themes, representing external factors, emerged from the interviews: parents, peers, and English teachers. Findings showed that behavioural, academic, and parental expectations, and a stable and caring home setting, fostered participants’ success in learning a foreign language. Furthermore, the study illustrated the importance of friends in aiding the success of individuals with VI, both socially and academically. Differences in the school atmosphere and culture regarding the inclusion of students with VI acted as either a promoting or impeding factor in motivating students with VI to succeed in their foreign language learning.

The importance of community for species survival. A sociobiological perspective

The problem of the survival of human societies in the face of global crises raises the question: how did the communities of other living creatures deal with crises over hundreds of thousands of years? Analysis of crisis coping mechanisms by elephant communities; of whales and sparmaceta whales and siberian foxes - they are examples of common and important characteristics that developed in the process of evolution as a response to environmental conditions. The direction of changes in these characteristics is par excelance social and is directed at the common good. Thus, it has a pro-social character and glorifies altruism. Also in relation to human development from the sociobiological perspective - one can point to the same characteristics revealing their importance and role in the adaptation process. The example of the survival of homo sapiens and the extinction of homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthal man) are a spectacular example of this. Such characteristics as friendliness, altruism, solidarity, responsibility, concern for the common good, prosociality have become the guarantors of survival in opposition to aggression and selfishness. In the area of culture, it is expressed in the tendency to transfer the content and standards important for the survival of WE to the area of IAM awareness. The above-mentioned characteristics, which have an anti-authoritarian and pro-democratic dimension, thus become standards for the development of human civilizations. The persistence of the timeless values that the Decalogue brings, and thus sacrifice for others and "loving your neighbor as yourself", are an example of the importance of understanding community. The characteristics important for adaptation are somehow intuitively sensed and visible in the cultural tendencies of pro-social democratic societies, expressed in community tendencies. In this context, the importance of friendship is directly related to the length and quality of human health and life.

The Impact of Formal School Entry on Children's Social Relationships with Parents, Siblings, and Friends.

The normative transition to formal schooling confronts children with social challenges but also opportunities. Longitudinal research on how school entry impacts children’s family and friend-ship relationships is scarce. This study investigated social relationship qualities with parents, siblings, and friends among 1110 children (49.9% female) from the prospective, population-based Bavarian Longitudinal Study at 6 years (before school entry) and 8 years using a forced-choice card-sorting task. Multivariate analyses of variance revealed significant effects of age (i.e., school entry) on social relationship qualities with mothers (Pillai’s Trace (PT) = 0.28, F(9, 1101) = 47.73, p < 0.001), fathers (PT = 0.14, F(9, 1101) = 19.47, p < 0.001), siblings (PT = 0.27, F(9, 1101) = 46.14, p < 0.001), and friends (PT = 0.21, F(9, 1101) = 32.57, p < 0.001). On average, children reported higher levels of parental comfort after school entry. Companionable qualities increased in relationships with friends, whereas sibling relationships became more conflictual from preschool to early school age. Findings provide unique insights into how social relationships develop from preschool to early school age, supporting evidence of the growing importance of friends. Conflict was predominant and increasing in sibling relationships and should be considered more in future research.

The youth of contemporary Belarus: Basic values, life plans and behavioral strategies

The article considers the transformation of basic values, life plans and behavioral strategies of the youth in contemporary Belarus. The changes in basic values are directly connected with the youths adaptation to the conditions of global instability. The new generation is sensitive to social injustice, violations of rights and freedoms, unwillingness to take into account their opinions on current issues of social development and the future. The self-perception of people regarding the possibility to realize basic values in the current social-economic conditions is an important factor of social stability. In both 1990 and 2018, family holds the first place among the basic values in Belarus; work takes the second place as a factor of decent life and familys success; the importance of friends and leisure remains the same over the decades, while the importance of politics and religion grows. International comparisons show that Belarus has the same hierarchy of values as European countries. The surveys prove a decrease in popularity of the traditional media among the youth and an increase in individualism, importance of personal self-realization in family and at work, and in reliance on ones own forces. In the public space, the needs and expectations of people have changed - there is an increase in political radicalization and critical perception of the most important events, which affects the behavioral patterns of social-demographic groups. Education together with the family and new information technologies have a significant impact on values - there is an intragenerational gap, alienation from society and increasing informatization. The article is based on the results of the sociological surveys conducted in the framework of the European Values Study (EVS) (the results of 1990 and 2018 are compared).

‘We actually get to go out and play’: looking through children’s views on Out of School Hours Care to children’s experience of school

ABSTRACT Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is recognised as an important service for working parents. Enabling parents to work beyond school hours, this sector has seen increased demand. Research and policy have provided insight into the nature of OSHC in relation to parent use and staff processes, with little consideration to the perspective at the core of this service – children. This small, exploratory project focused on children's perceptions of OSHC, adding to our understanding of children's perceptions of play. They identified key themes in relation to the importance of friends and social interaction; play and choice; and provision of technology for relaxation. Amidst the children's comments is a reflection on the increasing contrast between the value of play at OSHC and the busyness of school. This suggests there is a need for further research to better understand children's experience of OSHC, alongside their experience of and perspectives about school.

Exploring Help Seeking Patterns for Emerging Adult Victims Using the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey.

Emerging adulthood is a critical developmental period and a particularly important one for studying responses to interpersonal victimization as they can shape future coping patterns. This study focuses on non-college-attending emerging adults to explore their use of help seeking and satisfaction with resources. Comparisons are made with their college-attending counterparts. The findings highlight (a) the importance of friends across gender and education levels as a common resource and one perceived as helpful and (b) the large proportion of victims of interpersonal violence who do not seek any help. These results are discussed in connection with future research and policy implications.

Analyzing of the Factors Affecting the Exposure of Adolescents to Peer Bullying

This study was prepared to examine the factors affecting peer bullying exposure considering adolescents’ gender, age and classes. The study area of the research was applied to 9 th and 10 th grade students of Sakarya province Sapanca Vocational and Technical Anotolian High School. In this study, 10 students were asked questions to examine the factors affecting adolescent’s exposure to peer bullying. Students’ responses were evaluated using the interview form. Although the problems of adolescence differ in the historical process , they have existed in all societies until today. Because adolescents experience self-fornation in this process,plan the future and go through a very difficult process. The importance of friendship, popularity, self-realisation,setting goals and most importantly,rapid biological,psychological and social changes can attract these individuals in different problems. Thus, adolescents’ reactions to these problems sometimes go to extremes and increases in violence are observed. Bullying, which is a form of aggression, is used for purposes such as achieving one’s own goals, establishing authority, and making somebody give up. The increase of aggression events in the world and in our country in recent years has also increased the studies on this issues. In this study, the relationship between peer bullying and some factors such as age ,gender, physical characteristics,personality traits and parental attitudes affecting peer bullying were investigated
