Analisis Eksistensi Dan Urgensi Hakikat Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Dalam Kasus Penyalahgunaan Narkotika Di Kalangan Selebritas Indonesia

Drug abuse among celebrities in Indonesia is increasingly widespread, as evidenced by the number of news events both on television, national news websites and even in magazines. Drug abuse among Indonesian celebrities seems to be a place of escape from the problems of the life they live. Of course, drug abuse can be detrimental to oneself, causing negative stigma, loss of work for the celebrity and others, especially if it is done by celebrities who can be a bad example for the community. Celebrities have an influential position in changing people's perspectives and mindsets. Drug abuse is a social problem that can be caused by factors that influence it, one of which is a lack of understanding of civic education. The importance of understanding and learning civic education from elementary school to college can change awake behavior and shape character in accordance with the value of the precepts contained in Pancasila. Civic education can be one part of prevention in some relevant cases, for example drug abuse. This is in line with the importance of civic education which has been explained in the Indonesian Law No.20 of 2003 concerning the national education system, chapter 10 regarding the curriculum, article 37 paragraphs 1 and 2 which explain that Civics Education is one of the lessons that are mandatory in the curriculum of basic education, secondary education to higher education. Character building in civic education will become a habit so that it cannot be influenced by the surrounding environment, so that drug abuse among celebrities only becomes a mere entertainment spectacle by the community and cannot be imitated and only becomes a lesson for bad examples in society.

Research on the Integration and Development of University Civic and Political Education and Mental Health Education

In today's society, college students face complex and changing social environments and academic pressure, and these challenges directly affect their mental health. Mental health problems have become a common point of concern among college student groups, manifesting themselves as anxiety, depression, interpersonal problems, and other aspects of distress. Against this background, the importance of Civic Education and Mental Health Education has been highlighted as a key factor in the growth of students. Starting from the mental health challenges faced by college students, this paper discusses in depth the importance of Civic and Political Education and Mental Health Education, as well as the integration and development of the two in university education. Through the analysis of relevant theories and practical cases, it aims to provide useful insights for building a more comprehensive and effective education system for college students.

Особливості формування громадянськості у педагогічних поглядах Івана Огієнка та Софії Русової

The article highlights the peculiarities of the formation of citizenship in the pedagogical views of Ivan Ohiienko and Sofi a Rusova. Emphasis is placed on the importance of civic education in the process of formation and development of a patriot-citizen. The importance of civic values is emphasized.In their works, teachers have identifi ed that civic education – a morally de-termined process of preparing citizens – patriots to function and interact in a democratic society; citizenship – spiritual and moral value, worldview and psy-chological characteristics of man, due to his state self-identifi cation, awareness of belonging to a particular country; education of citizenship – a way of trans-mitting civic values in order to prepare students for public life, the formation of beliefs and norms of behavior in accordance with national interests, education of an active position on the civic life of society.Speaking about various forms, methods, sources and ways of national-pa-triotic and civic education, I. Ohiienko emphasizes that the leading place in this process belongs to the Ukrainian pedagogical community, which should realize its role and place in forming high national and civic consciousness and self-con-sciousness of Ukrainians. The teacher drew attention to the fact that all subjects, especially public ones, taught in secondary and higher schools of Ukraine must actualize national and civic issues. Undoubtedly, he considered the native values, national culture, civic consciousness and high spirituality of the individual to be the key values.The pedagogical heritage of the outstanding teacher S. Rusova is based on the ideas of national and civic education, extensive use of foreign experience in pedagogy and psychology, taking into account the peculiarities of education in Ukraine, on the principles of humanism and democracy. IS. Rusova noted that having understood the close connection of a person with citizenship, imagining the best charities required of a person by his public duties, it is possible to fi nd out exactly how to carry out social education, so that it resulted in real development of citizenship, increase in him active intelligent fi gures.

DEVELOPMENT OF CIVIL SOCIETY AND COMMUNICATION PROPERTIES OF LEGAL SCIENCE

The article is devoted to the value-communicative potential of modern legal science in building a mature, active civil society. In particular, the role of legal science in establishing the general discussion between man, civil society and the state is emphasized. A separate vector of consideration is the coverage of the role of legal science in modern law-making processes: increasing the role of legal culture, legal consciousness, overcoming the phenomena of legal nihilism and legal pessimism, as well as the importance of civic education in modern democratic processes.

Formación cívica, estructura fundamental de la participación ciudadana

México ha transitado por diferentes estrategias educativas, en las cuales la importancia de la formación cívica se ha reacomodado en la jerarquía. La cultura cívica forma parte de la formación ciudadana, se adquiere en el ámbito educativo; y se practica en el ámbito social. Tema importante de esa educación cívica es la democracia, concebida esta como una forma de gobierno en la que el poder político se ejerce por los ciudadanos y no solo por el grupo que ostenta el poder en un tiempo y espacio determinado. En México el abstencionismo se presenta en el entorno electoral, como respuesta de ciudadanos a quienes no les interesa el quehacer de los políticos y del gobierno. Tampoco participan de forma activa en la solución de problemas que aquejan a su comunidad. Este suceso identifica la ausencia de formación cívica en los jóvenes mexicanos, y resalta la importancia de incluir en los procesos educativos de todos los niveles de educación pública a la educación cívica. Las instituciones de educación superior tienen una misión educadora; son formadoras de ciudadanía, y sobre todo de personas íntegras que generen desarrollo en sus comunidades, fomenten la cohesión social, promuevan la formación de la identidad nacional y actúen con conciencia en la resolución de problemas contemporáneos.

Rethinking Civic Education in Tunisia: a Focus on School Curricula and Teacher Training

The paper explores the status of civic education in Tunisian public schools. It calls for seizing the opportunities offered by Tunisia’s transition to democracy to improve the teaching and learning of civic education. Before 2011, the Tunisian educational system was not very concerned with raising young generations on the principles and values of civic engagement, participatory citizenship, democratic participation, and social justice. Decision makers did not seem to be aware of the opportunities that young generations may enjoy inside and outside the classroom to learn about these values, and to be more actively committed to other issues, such as human rights, economic development, and the rule of law. However, the Tunisian youth have always used modern technology to keep updated about National and world affairs, and the recent huge developments in the domains of social media and citizen journalism have deepened their awareness about the lack of social justice and human rights in the country. The paper focuses on the importance of civic education in the Tunisian educational system to critically reconsider its potential role in educating the young generations on the values and principles of democracy. This is achieved through a review of two major components of the teaching/learning of civic education, namely how the subject is being taught and how the teachers are being prepared.

Perspectives of Civic Upbringing as in Non formal Education

The article covers the theoretical aspects and importance of civic education in its broad sense nowadays and analyzes its role, tasks, the after-school programs, best experiences and practices of after-school education in the United States in the field of civic education and upbringing. In the article civic education in the framework of U.S. out-of-school time is substantiated as a systematic object in its substantive and procedural aspects, which aims to form national, universal human values, civic activity and competencies required in the XXI century. It has been established that civic education and upbringing has been integrated in the secondary school and out-of-school education curriculum and practice, is considered as a priority task for education at the present stage in the United States and is a perspective area for nonformal education in Ukraine and beyond.

CIVIC EDUCATION AND SHAPING ELITES IN SOCIAL THEORY OF JOSÉ ORTEGA Y GASSET

The social concept of José Ortega y Gasasse was developed at the beginning of the twentieth century but still remains valid. This article highlights in a special way the importance of civic education as a foundation for building a democratic society and shaping elites. In the light of Ortega y Gasset’s liberalism, important assumptions regarding freedom, civic education as well as the formation of elites are being analysed. These issues will be analysed in the context of assumptions regarding the principles of shaping the privacy of each citizen, which is the centre and source of all activities of the individual. Properly shaped privacy is the main goal of civic education and guarantees the formation of elites in society.

While it would be easy to identify numerous examples of IADC Pride among our membership, I believe IADC members' time and commitment to merits special attention and acknowledgment. No other group affected iCivics' success in the beginning more than the International Association of Defense Counsel. IADC members served, and continue to serve, as a foundation of support for our Chairs in the states. The IADC provides funding to train teachers, visit classrooms and gathers community leaders to talk about the importance of civic education. Lawyers, who are by definition of the courts, have a special responsibility to serve as guardians, caretakers, and advocates of and for the justice system. And people who have earned the respect and trust of their community must take special care to reach behind and train the next generation how to be engaged, effective citizens. The IADC embraced the opportunity with to help educate our children as true officers of the court. IADC members are role models for others in their Justice Sandra Day O'Connor (Ret.) Justice O'Connor was certainly gracious in praising the LADC Foundation and IADC members for taking a leading role in making a positive impact on the civil justice system by volunteering their time to help educate the next generation about the three branches of government. All of us, as members of the IADC, should be proud of the accomplishments our organization has made to promote and serve the legal profession and the civil justice system. The successful partnership between the IADC Foundation and is an example of how IADC members are committed to giving back to our profession. During the 2009 Midyear Meeting, the IADC Foundation President, George Murphy, announced its partnership with what was then called Courts. At that time, the Our Courts program was a pilot program being used in only a handful of schools. It introduced lessons on the court system through interactive online games. The IADC Foundation provided some funding and worked closely with the leadership of Our Courts to create a paradigm by which we could most effectively use the IADC membership and associated resources to promote the use of Our Courts in schools throughout the country. As a testament to Justice O'Connor's vision and the clear need for education in this area, Our Courts quickly became iCivics and two online games turned into now 19 games plus an entire online library of resources and lesson plans for educators. IADC members helped solicit the support of each Chief Justice of the highest court in each state as well as other influential individuals by asking them to serve as the state Chair of the effort. Through the Justices' participation, endorsement and active support, many education leaders in different states started using these computer games in their civics and government class curriculum to teach students about our civil justice system. …

Preparing Students for Democratic Life

Abstract This essay explores why, despite repeated affirmations of the importance of civic education in undergraduate education, preparing students to understand and play an active role in democratic life is, for the most part, a marginal and episodic part of the undergraduate experience. After describing various factors that have contributed to its marginal status, we examine emerging understandings of how civic education can be done effectively. In the essay's final section, we describe the main features of the civic curriculum we are developing and how it can be used to develop the ideals and practices of education for democratic life.

Neither anglo nor america: the implications of the american science of politics for the history of political science

This paper proposes a re-reading of Bernard Crick's The American Science of Politics, challenging the notion that it articulated an English aversion to political science per se. When reconnected with its author's evolving thinking in the 1950s and 1960s about the nature of political concepts, the unique character of politics, and the responsibilities of the political scientist, the book can be seen as an attempt to promote a neo-republican conception of the discipline's identity, with a particular accent upon the importance of civic education.
