Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Quality Education: Critical Analysis of Hadith

Education is considered an important human right for all individuals. Research must be adapted to the social context of society and this is also the focus of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which emphasize the importance of quality education and supporting lifelong learning. Efforts to provide equal educational opportunities for all groups, regardless of gender, are recognized as an important step in advancing knowledge and supporting sustainable development. In this research, the library method is used to analyze various sources related to the SDGs, with the aim of supporting ongoing research efforts. The data collection technique used is documentation to verify the validity of the data, carry out interpretation and present concrete conclusions. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique is in the form of descriptive-analytical or context analytical, where researchers try to describe social phenomena that occur in the educational environment. Findings from research show that quality education is a key component in preparing future generations towards 2030. Based on the hadith, it states that to be able to achieve Quality education in realizing the SDGs requires an educational institution that is able to harmonize theory, practice and spirituality to balance the world and the hereafter. To achieve this, steps are needed to implement quality education, including; increasing access to education, quality of education and learning, adequate educational facilities, education financing, measurement and evaluation, lifelong education, and emphasis on education for sustainable development.

THE LIVED EXPERIENCES OF GRADE HEAD TEACHERS AS EMPOWERED EDUCATIONAL LEADERS: AN INQUIRY

This qualitative-phenomenological study aimed to explore and understand the lived experiences of grade head teachers as educational leaders. This also elaborates on how these experiences empower them, as well as how do they cope with the challenges they encounter in the delivery of their duties as educational leaders. There were fourteen (14) participants who took part in this study selected through purposive sampling technique. Of these 14 participants, seven (7) grade head teachers underwent in-depth interview and the remaining seven (7) were grade head teachers underwent focused group discussion. The data gathered were analyzed through thematic analysis. The study was conducted in three (3) selected public secondary schools in Sto. Tomas East district, Division of Davao del Norte. Results revealed six (6) major themes on their experiences: creating best practices as an educational leader, difficulty with the additional workload, managing different roles, maintaining a supportive and conducive environment, providing technical support, and collaborating with stakeholders. To respond to the challenges encountered, participants revealed five (5) coping mechanisms: delegating tasks to colleagues, maintaining collaboration within the team, strategizing on achieving the goals, keeping an open and honest communication and engaging on professional development. Lastly, they have cited five (5) insights that can contribute to better implementation of distance learning modality. These includes: opportunity for personal growth, necessity to adjust to situations and people, provide relevant support to the school, help implement quality and effective education and prioritize self-care. These insights, extracted from participants reflections on their experiences and challenges, provide a holistic perspective on the multifaceted roles of grade head teachers and their key takeaways. Implementing quality education: The inevitability of a co-owned and contextbased conceptualisation as the best starting point

This conceptual article argues for a co-owned contextual interpretation of the concept of quality education to create communal familiarity, co-agency and coherent communication necessary for its institutionalisation. The article analysed education policy documents including the current 2018-2030 education strategic plan which provides a blueprint for the development of education. The analysis revealed that quality education is an important policy concept that enjoys rhetoric. The 2018-2030 education strategic plan canonises quality education for its potential to equip Ghanaians adequately to meet the needs of the twenty-first century. However, quality education has failed to receive context-based conceptualisation perhaps because of the complex nature of the phrase. Drawing from Wittgenstein’s (1953) warning against imprecise use of language, the article argues for a co-owned contextual interpretation of quality education to facilitate its successful implementation in Ghana. The article then shares how the Leadership for learning and the Singapore triad models of interpreting and applying policy concepts can benefit communal familiarity and application of policy concepts. The Ministry of Education should organise workshops for stakeholders to provide a co-owned interpretation of quality education, draw an action plan and educate the Ghanaian citizenry to understand and align their efforts towards its achievement.

Values-Based Leadership (VBL): Evidences from Selected School Leaders of Samar, Philippines

In the formidable tasks of school leaders during these years, their challenges encountered in managing schools, teachers, and students, and the dire need to successfully implement quality education underscored the application of values as they lead their respective schools towards the attainment of the national educational goal. Values-based leadership (VBL) generally guides them to overcome daily school operations. Hence, this study was conducted to explore the views and perceptions of school leaders of Samar on values-based leadership (VBL), to examine their experiences as they apply VBL, and to probe their coping mechanisms in difficulties encountered. With phenomenology as the main method of inquiry, all participants ascertained positive views of VBL as it influences and motivates teachers and other school stakeholders. VBL gives assurance to help teachers grow as it is achieved during a heart to heart talk with the concerned teachers. However, conflicting values of teachers and being misunderstood were disclosed as the difficulties they experienced while using VBL. Nonetheless, they manage to surpass challenges by treating everyone with impartiality and by being consistent in the decision-making. This research concludes that the personal values of selected school leaders in Samar have a greater influence on their daily journey as they lead their teachers, students, and other stakeholders. All participants’ narratives would certainly impart potential enlightenment among school leaders from various schools experiencing similar instances.

Clustering Algorithm in English Language Learning Pattern Matching under Big Data Framework.

The Internet era has brought new challenges and opportunities for English learning and English teaching. At the same time, basic education is fully implementing quality education and respecting students' individual differences. The same teacher teaches the same content to the same class of students, but some students perform well, and some students perform poorly due to the influence of intellectual and nonintellectual factors. The uneven performance of students in the same class makes it very difficult for teachers to teach. In view of the current situation of university English teaching and the trend of respecting students' individual development in the new era, this study investigates the basic concept of English language learning pattern matching, its main features, and practical application in the process of university English teaching. The clustering algorithm based on the big data framework is proposed for English language learning pattern matching, which is fault-tolerant and can quickly acquire and process the big data information in English teaching. By analyzing the characteristics of the data mining method of students' English learning behavior, the method of clustering processing for students' English learning data mining and the processing method of students' English learning clustering data are explored. The method is highly adaptable and can be used for actual English language learning pattern matching, and actively explores the main path of English teaching change and innovation.

Cultivation Model of Entrepreneurship From the Perspective of Artificial Intelligence Ethics.

Students are the backbone of national development and progress, and should stand at the forefront of the era of innovation and entrepreneurship. Cultivating the entrepreneurship of college students is not only a response to the national call, but also a basic requirement for implementing quality education and promoting the comprehensive development of college students. To better study the entrepreneurship of college students, cultivate a group of newcomers of the era who have patriotic feelings, dare to innovate, hardworking and sustainable struggle, and solve the problem of college students' employment difficulties from the root, the cultivation mode of college students' entrepreneurship is studied. Firstly, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) technology on social ethics is analyzed. Secondly, it analyzes the current situation of the cultivation of science and engineering college students' entrepreneurship from three aspects: Chinese traditional cultural thoughts influence the concept of career choice, enterprises emphasize utilitarianism, and colleges and universities attach importance to knowledge education and despise spiritual education. Finally, the data statistics on the cultivation of entrepreneurship of science and engineering college students are carried out in the form of questionnaires. The results demonstrate that among the students surveyed, 21.31% have a strong willingness to start their own business, and 72.84% have the idea of starting their own business, which means that most students still want to start a business through their own efforts, not blindly looking for jobs. Simultaneously, among many majors, 87.5% of students majoring in agriculture and medicine are better at finding new ways to solve problems, while the proportion of students majoring in literature and history is the lowest. It also indicates that most students believe that schools should add more seminar courses, internship courses, design courses, experimental courses, etc., and allow students to choose learning courses across colleges and majors, to cultivate college students' entrepreneurship. The proposed method provides some ideas for the application of AI technology in the cultivation of students' entrepreneurship.

Attitudes toward Transsexuality, Empathy, and Bullying in Young Population

Affective-sexual and gender diversity is an increasingly distinctive and extended reality and should be acknowledged and respected. From a psychosocial and educational point of view, it is appropriate to review young people’s attitudes and knowledge regarding this, relating them to aspects such as empathy, violence, or bullying, to implement quality education in the early stages of primary education. The main objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between empathy levels, attitudes toward transsexuality, and bullying among Spanish university students. The sample consisted of 247 students. Instruments were administered to evaluate negative attitudes toward transsexual people, gender ideology, transphobia, bullying, and empathy. Inverse relationships were found between transphobia and empathy. Regression analysis demonstrated the predictive ability of empathy on attitudes toward transsexual people. The results of this study are expected to increase awareness in society and encourage appropriate, satisfactory, or tolerable coexistence, in which all individuals can be free to live and express themselves. While the results indicated that the quality of life of transgender people has comparatively improved, there is still a long way to go.

Longitudinal Analysis of Teacher Technology Acceptance and Its Relationship to Resource Viewing and Academic Performance of College Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to COVID-19, teachers quickly changed their courses from traditional face-to-face modality to emergency remote teaching (ERT), relying on learning management systems (LMS). In this simple prospective design study, we analyzed the relation of the level of teachers’ technological acceptance at the beginning of ERT (March 2020) considering three variables: the time spent by teachers in the LMS during that semester, the percentage of LMS’s resources their students viewed during the semester, and the final academic performance of the same students at the end of that semester (September 2020). This study included 251 teachers (57% male) and 12,185 students (45% male). We measured the teachers’ level of acceptance with the Spanish version of the Questionnaire Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). We found that the relation between the teacher’s acceptance and their time spent on the LMS was significant and positive (rho = 0.24, p < 0.001). In addition, teachers’ perception of LMS’s easiness is related to the percentage of educational resources their students utilized (rho = 0.26, p < 0.001). Finally, we found a relation between the usefulness dimension of the TAM to the academic performance of the students at the end of that semester (rho = 0.18, p < 0.01). Considering these results, we discuss practices for implementing quality education.
