APPLICATION OF THE MCKINSEY MODEL IN ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE AT BANK SYARIAH INDONESIA KCP JEMBER KARIMATA

Organizational change is a vital process in the growth and survival of an organization. The seven key elements that must align and interact harmoniously within an organization are: Strategy, Structure, Systems, Staff, Style/Culture, Shared Values, and Skills. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is descriptive and the data validity technique uses source triangulation. The results of this research show that 1. the implementation of McKinsey's business strategy has gone very smoothly and has had a significant positive impact on the growth of the banking institution. As a result of implementation, BSI KCP Karimata was able to improve service quality and customer satisfaction. Operational efficiencies obtained through the McKinsey model also contribute positively to profitability and strengthen the financial foundation of BSI KCP Karimata. 2. The profits obtained after implementing the McKinsey model, namely the main profits obtained by BSI KCP Jember Karimata, further strengthen BSI's position as the largest sharia bank in Indonesia and in 2023 BSI will crawl up to the top 10 national banks. The challenge is that there are still some employees who find it difficult to adapt to new regulations or strategies from BSI KCP Jember Karimata.

Critical Factors Influencing the Success of Social Entrepreneurship

Social entrepreneurs are solving agents for social and economic problems. Having innovations aimed to tackle the unlimited human problems innovators enter into the business as social entrepreneurs. Putting independent scientific findings into the practical field of business poses several problems requiring the entrepreneur to tackle the issues and challenges of the business world. This study aimed to answer the linkage of innovation with social entrepreneurship, the relation of individual innovators with entrepreneurship, types of the support the society can provide to social entrepreneurs in their contribution to solving the unlimited human problems, and the role of political economy in achieving success by social entrepreneurs. The methodology employed for the study involves a review of the findings of previous studies and an analysis of the opinions of the leading social entrepreneurs. The main finding of the study includes an educational program to clarify the duality of the understanding of social entrepreneurship, preparation, and implementation of robust business strategy along with identification of market relevance of innovation, innovative funding of start-up and scaling stage of entrepreneurship, perpetuity in innovation for sustainability, friendly public policy and public sector as a potential partner in achieving success of social entrepreneurship as the critical factors.

Analysis of the Interconnection between Digital Skills of Human Resources in SMEs and the Success of Digital Business Strategy Implementation

The advancement of information technology has transformed the way SMEs operate, from marketing aspects to inventory management. Digital business opens up new opportunities for SMEs but also demands new skills from human resources to keep up with these developments. The objective of this research is to analyze the interconnection between the digital skills of human resources in SMEs and the success of implementing digital business strategies. This research method focuses on qualitative literature review using Google Scholar as the data source, especially for articles published between 2021 and 2024. The study results indicate that the role of human resources in an increasingly digital business world is crucial. The digital skills possessed by human resources not only affect the effectiveness of implementing digital business strategies but also impact the competitiveness and sustainability of SMEs in the constantly changing market. The analysis was conducted using the Blue Ocean Strategy, employing a strategy canvas, a four-step framework, and a six-step framework for data gathering.Research findings: A business competition strategy employs a blue ocean strategy approach that originates from business innovation, encompassing product development, operational enhancements, and the utilization of efficient digital marketing channels.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research serves as valuable information for decision-makers, particularly in startup firms, seeking to enhance their business growth by adopting a blue ocean strategy approach. The successful implementation of this technique by lapangbola.com, a startup business in the sports industry, further exemplifies its effectiveness.Practitioners/Policy Implications: Startup companies or businesses in the digital industry might employ a blue ocean strategy, characterized by a rigorous, flexible, and inventive approach, to analyze the market and formulate an effective formula for company development.Research Limitations/Implications: The limitations of this research are found in the secondary data (literature studies) used, this is because not many businesses have consciously implemented blue ocean strategy simultaneously using canvas strategies, 4-step frameworks and 6-step frameworks. Review Of Entrepreneurial Literacy For Optimizing MSME Business Strategy In The Religious Tourism Area Of Sunan Ampel Tomb Surabaya

In this era of globalization, business challenges are increasingly complex along with technological developments and global market access. Entrepreneurial literacy is the main key in dealing with this dynamic, where a good understanding of business strategy is essential for business continuity. Religious tourism areas such as the Tomb of Sunan Ampel Surabaya have great potential as tourist destinations and centers of community economic activity. However, MSMEs in the region are faced with various challenges, such as intense competition, lack of entrepreneurial literacy, and lack of effective business strategy implementation. Ideally, MSMEs in the region should have a high level of entrepreneurial literacy and be able to optimize their business strategies to increase competitiveness and local economic contribution. This study aims to investigate business strategies that can be applied by MSMEs in the religious tourism area of Makam Sunan Ampel Surabaya, by considering entrepreneurial literacy as the main foundation. This research makes a new contribution by examining the relationship between entrepreneurial literacy and MSME business strategies in religious tourism areas, adding insight into the specific context of Sunan Ampel Tomb Surabaya. This research has high urgency because it provides a foundation for the development of MSMEs in the region, increasing their competitiveness, and at the same time supporting the development of religious tourism in Surabaya.This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The research subjects involved MSMEs. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis involves data reduction, display, and inference, with triangulation used to ensure validity.The results of research, observations, and interviews show that the research emphasizes the need to improve MSME entrepreneurial literacy in the Religious Tourism Area of Sunan Ampel's Tomb. Effective training and mentorship, with more than 70% of MSMEs involved, encourages business adaptation to uncertainty. Collaboration with entrepreneurship experts and the business community plays an important role. The integration of technology and business networks supports sustainable business growth and supports local tourism. This study summarizes effective strategies to increase entrepreneurial literacy, strengthen the contribution of MSMEs, and safeguard cultural heritage.

Abstract This article uses the example of Manoli Cigarettes and its product line, The Kaiser Cigarettes, to examine the concept of co-branding as applied to royal brand names in the German Empire. It reviews the broader networks of circulation that determined the production of royal brand names: commercial laws, business ties, advances in technology, advertising structures, tourism, and other sectors of the consumer economy. The article delves into how trademark law, the Imperial Patent Office's role in approving brand names, and case law contributed to the choice of royal brand names. The article also illuminates how manufacturers used royal brands to implement business strategies along a horizontal plane of market competition. The production of the monarchy as a cultural object was thus activated through a process of triangulation: not only through the bilateral relationship between monarch and subjects, but also lateral relations between producers who were concerned about their professional networks.

Proposed Marketing Strategy Development for Local Cattle Frozen Semen Sales (Case Study: Balai Inseminasi Buatan Lembang)

BIB Lembang was constructed in 1975 and became the first Artificial Insemination Center to be developed in Indonesia. BIB Lembang is also a Technical Implementation Unit which is under the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health and is responsible to the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health and is technically fostered by the Director of Livestock Breeding and Production with production duties. Marketing, testing, and monitoring of superior livestock semen quality, as well as preparation of artificial insemination methods. Meanwhile, based on the author’s initial research and problem-solving efforts, The research’s findings indicate that although BIB Lembang continues to have strong customer loyalty, a large number of its patrons still choose imported cattle frozen semen to local cattle frozen semen. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence customer satisfaction in relation to service quality, as well as the impact of human resources capability and technological infrastructure support on the quality of local cattle frozen semen products. Additionally, a business strategy to enhance competitiveness in the local cattle semen market will be designed. Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be used in this study. STP methodology and customer analysis both employ quantitative methodologies. Internal study of “Current Marketing Capability” and the search for preferences in “secondary data” were used in the data collection process. Seven people were interviewed using the qualitative method, one of whom was the head of BIB Lembang. Based on the research findings, companies can implement business strategies such as service quality to boost sales of local frozen cow semen. These strategies should be complemented by superior human resource competence, adequate technological infrastructure, good online ordering facilities – Sijalu, and customer satisfaction. To develop a SWOT Analysis and TOWS matrix for BIB Lembang in order to obtain a competitive edge and boost sales of local cattle frozen semen, the internal and external aspects will be analyzed using PESTEL analysis, competitor analysis, current marketing capability, and competitor analysis.

The Relationship of Business Strategy and MSMEs Performance: Innovation and Accounting Information System as Mediating Variables

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in the national economic growth. This has made the performance of MSMEs a concern for many parties, including the government, which necessitates efforts to continuously maintain and enhance their performance. The performance of MSMEs is greatly determined by how they design, implement, and manage their business strategies. Designing appropriate business strategies can provide support for MSMEs in achieving superior and sustainable performance over the long term. Business strategies that focus on growth and competitive advantage often require innovation in their implementation. To help identify the necessary resources in the implementation of business strategies, Accounting Information Systems (AIS) are also required. The objective of this research is to test the relationship between business strategies and the performance of micro-enterprises through innovation and AIS in MSMEs. The research population consists of MSMEs in the food and beverage sector in the city of Malang. The data analysis tool used is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).

Factors affecting performance excellence in Indonesian state-owned enterprises

State-owned enterprises (SOEs) have a strategic position as architects of public services, balancing large private powers, helping to foster small businesses or cooperatives, and a considerable basis of state revenue in numerous forms of taxes and dividends. For Indonesia to compete in the global market, its economic actors (private sector, SOEs, and cooperatives) must amplify their performance. This paper aims to explore the factors affecting performance excellence in Indonesian SOEs, namely business environment and innovation capability through business strategy. Data were obtained from questionnaires distributed to 100 directors/managers representing SOEs in 12 clusters. The partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) procedures were operated to evaluate the path coefficients and identify the pivotal factors of each construct using SmartPLS. The results exhibited that the business environment (β = 0.357, p < 0.05) and innovation capability (β = 0.518, p < 0.05) positively and significantly affected Indonesian SOEs’ business strategy. Meanwhile, business environment (β = 0.263, p < 0.05), innovation capability (β = 0.273, p < 0.05), and business strategy (β = 0.459, p < 0.05) positively and significantly affected SOEs performance excellence. Moreover, business strategies can partially mediate the effect of the business environment (β = 0.164, p < 0.05) and innovation capability (β = 0.238, p < 0.05) on performance excellence. An important implication of this study is that to maintain and improve performance excellence, SOEs must first focus on the capability of innovation to initiate the implementation of business strategies by constantly addressing the business environment.

Knowledge Management in the Implementation of the Company's Business Strategy

The aim of the study is to learn and evaluate the impact of knowledge dynamics processes on the effectiveness of the implementation of the company's business strategy project. The implementation of the changes is the result of external circumstances related to the implementation of the company's tax policy. Elements of the tax policy implemented by the enterprise are a source of both threats and opportunities, and the volatility of the tax environment in which the enterprise operates is undoubtedly a challenge for enterprises. Observation and identification of these changes is a premise and tool for effective knowledge exchange, enabling the neutralization of threats and the use of emerging opportunities, especially in the implementation of changes. In the light of the considerations presented in the study, it can be indicated that knowledge management processes allow for the observation and description of changes in the environment, indicating the justification of emerging threats and opportunities in the company's environment and the reaction of the company, in particular in terms of the implementation of the company's tax policy, which fills the gap noted research. The implication of the conducted research is that there is a significant impact of external conditions, shaped, among others, by the company's tax environment, on the implemented project of the implemented business strategy, which can be effectively used in the company management process by increasing the effectiveness of knowledge management in the company. This means that the effectiveness of knowledge management can have a positive impact on the implementation of the company's business strategy. The research methods used to achieve the assumed goal are literature studies, descriptive analysis and survey research. Empirical research was based on 250 entities implementing tax policy in terms of corporate strategy. The research was carried out in 2021. The discussed problem is important and topical due to the possibility of achieving an increase in knowledge in the company and increasing the effectiveness of project implementation in the perspective of changes in the external environment.

Barriers to green human resources management (GHRM) implementation in developing countries: evidence from China.

Because of the current climate adaptation and long-term viability advancements, campaigners both locally and globally are pressuring businesses to embrace green practices. But there are challenges to putting green policies into action. The goal of this research was to analyze the most significant challenges encountered by Chinese businesses when attempting to implement environmentally responsible HR practices (GHRM). There were seventeen setbacks found, and these were sorted into five main groups. In order to pilot test the survey questions, we spoke with twenty experts in the fields of human resources and environmental management. One hundred and ninety-nine questionnaires were subsequently distributed to a random sample of company CEOs (19), HR managers (30), CFOs (30), and HR directors (40). The PSI approach was used to establish a hierarchy of the most significant obstacles and their subobstacles. Twenty-three percent of GHRM barriers in the research area were attributable to economic factors. The absence of financial resources emerged as the most crucial obstacle overall (with a score of 0.99) and among the subbarriers. The second most common barrier was found to be political and regulatory (20.1%), while the least common was found to be cultural and educational (18.2%). Government and financial institutions can help businesses overcome the most significant obstacles by offering low-interest loans for the development and implementation of sustainable business strategies and initiatives. As such, this study complements the current body of literature on green HR. Examining the challenges faced when trying to put GHRM into practice in a poor country context, this helps policymakers and practitioners in China and other similar economies understand environmental innovation barriers and develop policies to overcome them.

Data will be analyzed using statistical techniques to identify relationships between HRM policies and business and marketing strategy implementation. Findings: The findings of the study will provide insights into the impact of HRM policies on business and marketing strategy implementation and identify specific HRM practices that are associated with better performance outcomes. The major findings of this study are that the HRM policies improve the growth of a business and deliver quality work to the customers by understanding the external and internal affairs. PARE CHIPS BUSINESS TRAINING: Increasing Competitiveness in the Digital Age

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the pare chips sector have great potential to support the local economy. However, challenges in the rapidly developing digital era require understanding and adaptation of appropriate business strategies. Therefore, this service activity aims to provide business training to SME owners of bitter melon chips in order to optimize their business competitiveness in the digital era. The main purpose of this community service activity is to increase the understanding and skills of UKM owners of bitter melon chips in dealing with the digital era. We strive to provide participants with a better understanding of leveraging digital platforms, online marketing strategies, technology-based business management, and using digital tools to increase productivity. The implementation of this activity involves several methods including presentation of entrepreneurial material, question and answer, practice and guidance. The results of this activity include increasing the understanding and skills of SME chips pare owners in implementing business strategies in the digital era. They are able to leverage social media, increase online visibility, manage inventory more efficiently, and increase their business productivity. In addition, the collaboration between the UKM owners of bitter melon chips that was established during this activity allows for the exchange of experiences and learning between people. Some of the participants even reported a significant increase in their sales after taking this training.

Mixue Expansion Strategy: The Effect of Location, Price, Lifestyle on Purchasing Decision and Brand Image As Intervening

For culinary service providers, especially soft drinks (ice cream) today, knowing the pattern of buying decisions of consumers is very important. Efforts need to be made to create an expansion strategy so that products can be recognized and consumed by consumers. Mixue as one of these business actors has succeeded in running its business during fierce competition. The Mixue network now spreads throughout all regions in Indonesia as a result of its success in implementing business strategies. This study aims to examine the factors that can influence the decision to purchase Mixue products such as location, price, lifestyle, and brand image as intervening variables as a means of implementing a business expansion strategy. The subjects of this study were Mixue connoisseurs who live in Central Jakarta with a sample size of 150 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The data analysis method uses causative quantitative analysis using SEM analysis. The results showed that the location variable dominantly influences purchasing decisions, this proves that Mixue's expansion strategy is focused on increasing Mixue outlets that are affordable to the public, followed by the price variable. The role of brand image is believed to be a determining factor in the expansion strategy as a determinant of indirect influence.
