In the field of Quranic education, mobile applications have become cutting edge instruments that offer chances to improve instruction and successfully involve learners. With a thorough survey-based analysis, this study seeks to evaluate how mobile applications affect Quranic teaching. The research methodology comprised creating a structured questionnaire to collect information on a range of topics, such as application usage trends, efficacy evaluations, contributions to bettering education, perceived effects on students' comprehension and retention of Quranic knowledge, improvement of student performance, and contrasts between traditional and mobile application-based learning approaches. Students enrolled in online university programs with an emphasis on Quranic education made up the population for this study. A sample size of 60 respondents provided insightful information. Descriptive statistics and inferential techniques were included in quantitative data analysis, which allowed for a detailed investigation of survey responses and the correlations between variables. The results show that respondents place a high value on mobile applications for improving Quranic education, and the usage patterns of these applications vary widely. Participants generally held favorable opinions about the usefulness of mobile applications in raising student achievement and comprehension of Quranic knowledge. Furthermore, it became evident that mobile application-based learning was preferred over conventional techniques. The study identifies opportunities for further research in this area and emphasizes the significance of using mobile technology to enhance Quranic instruction. In general, the study advances our understanding of how mobile applications fit into Quranic education and influences pedagogical strategies used in online learning environments.

Impact of Mobile Applications on Improving Healthy Lifestyle of Patients with Metabolic Syndrome: A Systematic Review

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) generally occurs in adults and becomes more prevalent with age. Most e-health tools are often described as web-based platforms or applications designed for the general public, rather than specifically for MetS patients. Mobile applications, however, have great potential in providing internet-based health education and supporting the self-management of MetS patients, particularly in diet management and physical activity. This study aimed to synthesize the findings on the impact of mobile app interventions in enhancing self-management practices among MetS patients. A comprehensive literature search covering the years 2019 to 2023 was conducted across Science Direct, ProQuest, and PubMed databases. From 16,628 articles analyzed, 11 were selected for review. The interventions were categorized into short-term (> 12 months) and long-term (≥ 12 months). Eleven mobile applications were identified. These applications were primarily free and designed to facilitate the management of diet and physical activity. The study observed significant changes in the components of metabolic syndrome, including weight, blood pressure, waist circumference, body mass index, fasting blood sugar, triglycerides, and High-Density Lipoprotein cholesterol. Furthermore, these mobile applications demonstrated a positive impact on the lifestyle of MetS patients, influencing factors such as eating behavior, physical activity, self-efficacy, sleep quality, and sleep duration.

If we misuse it, the negative impact will be much more that will occur. Mobile in this modern era is like a staple food for every group, especially students. The purpose of this study was to see the impact of mobile applications on student behavior at SMA 1 Harau. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, namely a study with field observations, then describes the data that has been analyzed to draw conclusions. Collecting data by way of observation and interviews. The results of the study show that students spend more time with mobile phones than other useful activities, causing students to become addicted to mobile phones. Excessive use of mobile phones has negative impacts such as starting to become addicted to the internet, games, and so on. Most students feel preoccupied with games on their cellphones compared to interacting with their friends in the real world. Often by holding a cellphone, sometimes there are students who don't listen to the words of their parents and some are even angry with their parents when talking to them. The positive side of using a cellphone is very much if we are smart at operating cellphone applications properly. With mobile phones we can communicate long distances, can be used for entertainment when we are bored, add friends, find out information faster, and so on.
 

Impact of Mobile Applications on Customer Service for the Tourism Sector: A Systematic Review and Neutrosophic Dematel

This study aims to systematically review mobile applications and their impact on customer service in the tourism sector from 2017 to 2021. For this, the use of the DEMATEL method in its neutrosophic variant is proposed. The search strategy identified 257,399 articles from digital libraries such as Scopus, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Springer Link, Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, EBSCOhost, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, and ARDI. Likewise, only 70 articles based on exclusion criteria were considered using the PRISMA Flowchart. The results of the systematic review have focused on recent studies of mobile applications and their impact on customer service in tourism and also provide a mapping of the extracted studies, metrics, trends, and validation methods to compare relevance to their settings and situations. The applicability and importance of multiple decision-making methods for solving complex problems were demonstrated. In addition, the effectiveness of using neutrosophy to reach valid conclusions when faced with real-life problems was manifested.

They have been shown to be beneficial in a number of ways when it comes to promoting learning and development. Aim/Purpose: This paper aims to explore the various problems associated with the technological, pedagogical, and psychological aspects of mobile learning and develop recommendations for its improvement. Background: Mobile learning becomes increasingly popular today. This type of learning is relatively new. It has recently gained popularity due to the pandemic restrictions in 2020. As mobile learning is being actively used, educators, students, and other professionals begin to note its positive and negative sides. Methodology: The study is based on the method of experiment as well as an online 11-item questionnaire was conducted (developed by authors) with 110 teachers in Russian universities (Russian State University named by A.N. Kosygina, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, and Kuban State Technological University). Contribution: The practical significance and prospects for further research are based on the possibility of using the results in further study of the problem of the impact of mobile applications on specific indicators. Findings: It was found that, given the great prevalence of mobile devices today, there is every reason to implement mobile learning at universities. However, there are infrastructural problems that prevent the widespread use of this mode of delivery (problems with the Internet, old gadgets that do not support 4G, lack of technical support, etc.). Teachers also mention a set of problems associated with the quality of such training, which are mainly related to pedagogical and psychological aspects of the process. About 56% of university teachers say that students often behave irresponsibly during online classes. They are inattentive, tend to skip lessons, and do not hand in the tasks, which leads to a decline of knowledge and failing at tests and exams. Around 68% of teachers have difficulties adapting their teaching methods to a mobile learning environment. Recommendations for Practitioners and Researchers: This study proposes structured recommendations to improve the quality of mobile learning by advancing technology skills, adapting mobile learning to the needs of universities, and raising the motivation of teachers and students. Impact on Society: The results of the study can be used to analyze and compare the impact of mobile learning on society, efficiency in various fields, as well as mobile learning of students on future employment and life in society. Future Research: In the future it will be important to conduct a comparative analysis of the impact of mobile learning on students and teachers, to study the effectiveness of such learning in general.

Abstract This exploratory study investigates the impact of technology on the tourist experience. This research analyzed the effect of new technologies on the behaviour of new tourism consumers, the importance of mobile technology in the tourism industry, and the phenomenon of mobile tourism in the change of the tourism experience. It also studied the spillover effect that these changes have had on the use of mobile applications in tourism, trying to understand their impact on the tourism experience. A quantitative and qualitative analysis supported this investigation through a survey of 110 Portuguese tourists using applications and two interviews with administrators of mobile application development companies, and, finally, through the analysis of four case studies. The main conclusion is that smartphones and mobile travel applications can substantially alter the tourist experience. Tourists assume that smartphones have motivated changes in the activities and emotions experienced, especially in social applications that allow them to maintain contact with their friends and families and increase security levels.

Analyzing the Coevolution of Mobile Application Diffusion and Social Network: A Multi-Agent Model.

The successful diffusion of mobile applications in user groups can establish a good image for enterprises, gain a good reputation, fight for market share, and create commercial profits. Thus, it is of great significance for the successful diffusion of mobile applications to study mobile application diffusion and social network coevolution. Firstly, combined with a social network’s dynamic change characteristics in real life, a mobile application users’ social network evolution mechanism was designed. Then, a multi-agent model of the coevolution of a social network and mobile application innovation diffusion was constructed. Finally, the impact of mobile applications’ value perception revenue, use cost, marketing promotion investment, and the number of seed users on the coevolution of social network and mobile application diffusion were analyzed. The results show that factors such as the network structure, the perceived value income, the cost of use, the marketing promotion investment, and the number of seed users have an important impact on mobile application diffusion.

Evaluating the effects of mobile applications on course assessment: A quasi-experiment on a macroeconomics course

Universities are facing the need to rethink their educational strategies, especially due to the emergence of new technologies, such as mobile applications, which have had great expectations. Previous studies have been focused on changes in student engagement from using mobile applications in the classroom, whereas there has been little research on the impact of mobile applications on student assessment. This research uses a quasi-experimental study to examine the relationship between student assessment and the use of a mobile application. Two groups of students (a control and an experimental group) were tested in the same academic semester with the same lecturer. Two analyses were carried out (t-test and difference-in-differences) to evaluate this relationship. Contrary to the general expectations, the results showed that there is no significant difference on assessment when comparing the two groups’ scores. However, students showed a positive attitude in engaging with the mobile application. Although there has been an increase on the use of mobile applications in classrooms, they do not directly affect student scores. This research shows that mobile applications should be used as a complement to traditional education, and not as a substitute to it.

Adoption of mobile applications for teaching-learning process in rural girls\u2019 schools in India: an empirical study

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that can impact the adoption of mobile apps for teaching-learning process focusing on the girls’ school in rural India. The hypotheses were proposed and a conceptual model has been developed. There is a survey work conducted to collect the data from different respondents using a convenience sampling method. The model has been validated statistically through PLS-SEM analysis covering feedbacks of 271 effective respondents. The study highlights the impact of different antecedents of the behavioural intention of the students of using mobile applications for teaching-learning process. The results also show that among other issues, price value has insignificant influence on the intention of the girl students of the rural India. During survey feedbacks have been obtained from the 271 respondents, which is meagre compared to vastness of the population and school of rural India. Only few predictors have been considered leaving possibilities of inclusion of other boundary conditions to enhance the explanative power more than that has been achieved in the proposed model with the explanative power of 81%. The model has provided laudable inputs to the educational policy makers and technology enablers and administrators to understand the impact of the mobile applications on the rural girls’ school of India and facilitate the development of m-learning. Very few studies been conducted to explore the impact of mobile applications on the school education of rural India especially focusing on the girls’ schools.

Kahoot! In an EFL Reading Class

Game-based learning has attracted considerable attention over the past few years. Mobile apps are welcomed by the digital generation. Debate continues regarding the approach that will most benefit students in English language classrooms, and the impact of mobile applications, particularly on English as a foreign language (EFL) learning, remains unclear. Specifically, little is known about EFL learners’ perceptions of mobile applications. The main purpose of this study was to understand Chinese students’ attitudes toward the application of Kahoot!, a mobile game-based learning app, in a college EFL class in Taiwan. No gender differences were found in students’ perceptions of the use of Kahoot! for English learning. Although the participants expressed positive attitudes towards the application of Kahoot! in the EFL reading class, several negative opinions were expressed regarding the use of Kahoot! as a testing tool. These results provide support for the affective filter hypothesis. Implications for EFL teachers and future research are discussed.

The impact of mobile applications on medication adherence: a systematic review.

In 2008, Apple and Android launched their Application or "App" stores. Since then, there has been a growing interest in using mobile apps for improving medication adherence. However, research on the efficacy of apps, in terms of improved medication adherence and clinical outcome and/or patient-related outcome measures (PROMs) is scarce. The objective of this research was to systematically review the impact of apps on consumers' medication adherence and to determine the effect on clinical outcome and/or PROM(s). A systematic literature search was conducted to identify publications aimed at improving medication adherence published from January 2008 to April 2018. All studies were assessed for risk of bias using either the Risk Of Bias In Non-randomized Studies-of Interventions or the revised tool for Risk of Bias in randomized trials tool, depending on study design. Eleven randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and 10 non-RCTs were included. All 11 RCTs showed improvements in adherence; however, only seven reported statistically significant improvements in at least one adherence measure. Nine RCTs also demonstrated improvements in clinical outcome/PROM(s), of which five were statistically significant, whereas two RCTs did not report on clinical outcome/PROM(s). Only two studies using non-RCT study designs showed statistically significant improvements in all measures of adherence and clinical outcome/PROM(s). The risk of bias was moderate or serious for all included studies. Even though the use of an app may improve adherence, it is difficult to draw conclusions regarding the impact of apps on medication adherence due to the high degree of heterogeneity across studies, from the methodological design to the features of the app and the measure of adherence.

Abstract: Inception of mobile devices and applications have seen an exponential growth of data. Bandwidth limitation for cloud-hosted applications is the “Elephant in the room”. This research has designed an algorithm to address the bandwidth limitations by data prioritizing and partitioning. Saudi Arabia is developing a financial district in Riyadh that could serve as financial hub for the region and could help Saudi Arabia to enter the domain of developed countries. Inception of cloud technology could play a key role for financial institutions for resource gathering and allocation. The research has formulated a priority sequence queuing model that filters the incoming cloud bundles based on their priority defined by the business logic. The research has designed a novel and secure E-Banking solution that is already been implemented for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) and if adapted for the oil rich nation i.e. Saudi Arabia, can foster the growing consumer market for changing global priorities. User access through both desktop/laptop and mobile applications present a challenging scenario for the cloud server hosting multiple sessions. The Transaction per Second (TPS) and multiple sessions hit ratio can create a system overhead which is hard to predict and calculate, and can run the cloud server down. In addition to queuing algorithm the research has also implemented a session Time to Live (TTL), cross session check and kill algorithm, which is also based on business logic. It is assumed that a single customer could hold multiple logins on a database cloud server utilizing a single push and multiple pull mechanism for online, Automated Business Machine and mobile devices.

The Impact of Mobile Learning Applications on the Lecturer’s Role and Development of Learner’s Motivation towards Learning: Empirical Study at the Faculties Physical Education-Libya

<p>The purpose of the present research was to validate a stated model for mobile applications as one of the modern teaching methods in the learning process with specific focus on its effectiveness on the teacher’s role and development of Libyan learners’ motivation towards learning. To achieve this research aim, the researcher used a descriptive approach as a quantitative research design that utilizes a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Method in order to evaluate the main hypotheses of the research. The study sample consisted of 450 participants (lecturers at the Faculties Physical Education-Libya). The conclusion of the resulting study showed the presence of a weak or low correlation linking mobile learning applications and the development of students' motivation towards learning (.16). However, the study showed that the impact of mobile learning applications on the teacher’s role was (.63). Moreover, the study found that the teacher's role has a higher level of significant influence or impact than mobile learning applications on the development of students 'motivation towards learning (86). The results also revealed that there is an indirect impact of mobile applications through the teacher’s role which was higher than its direct impact on the development of students' motivation towards learning.</p>
