Effect of Psychosocial Factors in the Use of Telemedicine

Telemedicine is the impact of industrial revolution 4.0, which urges the development of health system technology to increase access to health services. This condition is contrary to the use of society, where consumers decide to stop using telemedicine services after several benefits. So this study aims to identify the effect of psychosocial factors on consumer decisions in utilizing telemedicine services—analytical observational research with a cross-sectional design. The population of this study was consumers aged 17–39 years who needed access to health services. Data collection was done by distributing online questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. One hundred ninety-eight respondents' responses were obtained in January–May 2021 using descriptive analysis and statistical tests. Statistical research showed that consumer psychological factors, including motivation, psychology, and learning, influenced decisions to use telemedicine services (Sig<0.05). Meanwhile, the social factors of the reference group did not have a significant effect (Sig>0.05). High motivation, positive perception, learning, and family encouragement influence consumer decisions to use telemedicine services, whereas the reference group does not. This research can be used as a consideration for developers and decision-makers in promoting the use of telemedicine so that it continues to be used in the long term.

The Impact of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Corporate Marketing

Theoretical background: The transformation of marketing that has been taking place for the last 150 years involves the gradual change of its concept, strategy and operational activity models to meet the manifested challenges and the future development trends. The main factors that determine the evolutionary change in corporate marketing include the development of production technique and technology, organization and management processes, and the monetization of goods and services. Another factor includes changes in the environment of enterprises, primarily related to the processes of globalization and to the behaviour, tastes and preferences of consumers. Paradoxically, having affected almost the entire globalized world, the COVID-19 pandemic has become the catalyst for the processes of marketing transformation. The impact of these factors on marketing was the basis for distinguishing four stages in its development, i.e. Marketing 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. This classification is parallel to the one related to industrial revolutions described as Industrial Revolution 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0. Purpose of the article: The identification of the main factors of the corporate marketing transformation and the assessment of their impact and effects on the changing ideas, tools and forms increasingly based on digitization and artificial intelligence. Research methods: the Author was motivated to undertake the research in question by the lack of systematic and comprehensive studies capturing the impact on marketing of the effects of industrial revolutions and the deriving changes in the corporate environment and the preferences and tastes of consumers, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic. The Author used the previous research findings included in various studies (periodical, thematic and online) and conducted their critical analysis and synthesis, and supplemented those with his own reflections. The result of the above was the formulation of a thesis about a close relationship between the development of the techniques and technology of manufacturing, changes in the macro environment of entities as well as the needs and tastes of consumers , and the COVID-19 pandemic and the evolution of marketing. Main conclusions: Over the last 150 years there have been revolutionary changes in the corporate marketing. The main drivers of change included four industrial revolutions, the transformation of the corporate environment as well as of consumer needs and preferences, and the COVID-19 pandemic. They resulted in the gradual development of marketing from the stage defined as Marketing 1.0 through 2.0, 3.0 to 4.0. This last stage is taking place today and is characterized by a plethora of innovative forms. It has been subject to further transformations together with the progress in the implementation of inventions related to the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

The Impact of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the Future of the Workforce: A Study on Malaysian IT Professionals

With the advent of Industry 4.0, future workspaces are expected to evolve in tandem with technological advances in industry and education. Industry 4.0 calls for transformation and effective talent development is vital in ensuring national aspirations are achieved while eliminating redundancy and ensuring consistency. As such, this study aims to understand the impact of Industry 4.0 on computer engineering-related workforce and skills development within Multinational Companies (MNCs) to Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. In this study, online questionnaires were distributed to evaluate the current and future hiring trends. The study reveals that most of the employees have positive perceptions about the industrial current practice on Industry 4.0 and identified the prospective demands on the professions that will be affected. Five significant areas of required competencies found in this study are adaptability, soft skills, software engineering, data analytics, and technical skills. The findings provide empirical evidence about current and future employment scenarios in Malaysia concerning the possible impact of Industry 4.0 on the companies and issues involved in managing the transition to Industry 4.0. Besides, the emergent skills required by workforces that are previously unaddressed in the literature were identified. Empirical evidence from the analysis contributes to shaping the educational systems of the future and helps to proactively identify specific skills shortages at an early stage.

INDONESIAN ACCOUNTING STUDENTS’ SELF-CONFIDENCE TO ADOPT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in accounting as the impact of industrial revolution 4.0 has raised various concerns regarding the future of accountants and the possibility that accountants will be replaced by AI. Businesses are continuously adopting AI globally and particularly in Indonesia, AI adoption raises concerns that accountants will be replaced with AI due to the lack of competence to work with AI. A descriptive study with a quantitative approach was conducted in January 2021 by distributing questionnaires that collected a convenience sample of 476 respondents from universities across Indonesia. The required criteria of respondents are the active Indonesian undergraduate accounting students (class of 2016-2020). Therefore, this research will examine how the AI-based curriculum provided by universities relates to the competency of prospective accountants. The research also examines how the prospective accountants’ competency affects the readiness of accounting students to adapt and work with AI so that their roles are not entirely replaced by AI, especially for Indonesian accounting students as prospective accountants. The last part of this research will underline that the development of AI therefore should not be a concern for the future of accountants and accounting students in Indonesia. However, to have the prospective accountants prepared to work with AI and enter the industry 4.0 workforce after they graduate, the accounting students need to enhance their competencies. The accounting educators also need to enhance their curricula by providing more practice-related courses to improve the capability of accounting students to operate accounting softwares.

Evolution of customer focus: from artisans and family businesses to CRM-systems

The process of evolution of such phenomenon as customer focus and its impact on the formation of trade relations has been considered. In order to study the phenomenon as a whole and the factors that influenced the changes in particular, a retrospective analysis from the era of craftsmanship to the present day has been made. Special attention has been paid to industrial revolutions as stimulators of change, and to the peculiar boundaries of the periods of using different approaches to trade and business interaction. The article also touches on the topic of direct marketing, as a prototype of today’s business relations. In addition to the history of marketing and the impact of industrial revolutions on the development of the relationship between seller and buyer, the paper considered and analysed such a phenomenon as the automation of production in order to create a fullfledged picture, reflecting the reasons for the creation, the essence and relevance of CRM-systems in the modern world. CRM-systems in this article have been considered as one of the tools of customer focus methodology, which facilitates the interaction between participants in business relationships, as well as serving as a centralized directory of information about the customers. The initial and, consequently, the ultimate goal of the study was to create an interconnected scheme for the formation of a modern system of customer focus and definition of the role of CRM-systems in the whole process.

Workforce Skill Development Policy Guideline for Industrial Revolution in Thailand

An article presents policies for Thailand's workforce development under the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution. It will be helpful for executives to design policies to improve the country's workforce. Within context, the changes from the impact of the Industrial Revolution were due to the influence of Disruptive Technology. The paper explores directions, trends, impacts, and policies for managing labor issues in the Disruptive Technologies era. Studying the opinions of 26 CEOs and executives of businesses in Thailand(2019-2020) used or affected by the Industrial Revolution, obstacles, feedback, focusing on issues, concepts about Disruptive Technologies, and vocational education concepts.
 They are using qualitative research methodology and procedures to support policy. The study results are the impact of Industrial Revolution on Thai workers and technological TVET Institution to develop Thai people during Industrial Revolution, educational management to develop Thai people in the Thailand 4.0 Therefore focuses on increasing labor skills and educating to create new skill / Upskill /Reskill for workers under reality.
 The policy document also outlines recommendations from the public and private executives. The CEOs have advised on the issue of developing the skills and performance of the workforce in the future. The changes in the skills of older workers and summary provide policy recommendations to educational institutions and governments.

Industry 4.0 and human resource in Indonesia: a systematic literature review

There are concerns about the impact of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and challenges on the job market. This research purpose is to analyze the impact of the 4.0 industrial revolution on the labor market related to its consequences for higher education. Nosocomial Infection.

The first 70 years of critical care can be considered a period of "industrial revolution-like" advancement in terms of progressing the understanding and care of critical illness. Unfortunately, like the industrial revolution's impact on the environment, advancing ICU care of increasingly elderly, immunosuppressed, and debilitated individuals has resulted in a greater overall burden and complexity of nosocomial infections within modern ICUs. Given the rapid evolution of nosocomial infections, the authors provide an updated review. We searched PubMed and OVID for peer-reviewed literature dealing with nosocomial infections in the critically ill, as well as the websites of government agencies involved with the reporting and prevention of nosocomial infections. Search terms included nosocomial infection, antibiotic resistance, microbiome, antibiotics, and intensive care. Nosocomial infections in the ICU setting are evolving in multiple domains including etiologic pathogens plus novel or emerging pathogens, prevalence, host risk factors, antimicrobial resistance, interactions of the host microbiome with nosocomial infection occurrence, and understanding of pathogenesis and prevention strategies. Increasing virulence and antimicrobial resistance of nosocomial infections mandate increasing efforts toward their prevention. Nosocomial infections are an important determinant of outcome for patients in the ICU setting. Systematic research aimed at improving the prevention and treatment of nosocomial infections is still needed.

In this article, the effect of transition from traditional industrial societies to “Industry 4.0” and the effects of the turns on the skill transformations of the workforce are examined comparatively. Within the context of the historical background of the industrial revolutions, the paradigms that have changed within the framework of the industrial societies and trigger the transformation of the quality of the workforce have been discussed. Looking at the historical background of the industrial transformation, it is seen that there are witnesses to the big waves of change that have made this transformation or expressed as a turning point. In fact, these transformations and milestones are key waves according to some authors, while they are vanishing ahead of themselves, and according to some authors, conversions are said to be complementary parts. The fourth wave of industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) has an impact not only on labor markets, but also on social changes. Therefore, the first, second, third and fourth industrial revolutions we witnessed today have had important social, economic, cultural and political implications. Particularly, the reflections of the transformations within the scope of Industry 4.0 on the labor market in the future will be striking.In this article, firstly, the historical process of industrial revolutions is discussed. In this context, the structure of business organizations and changing employment has been examined. Digital Learning Demand for Future Education 4.0—Case Studies at Malaysia Education Institutions

The rapid growth of the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 has prompted the Malaysian Education Institution to transform the current education system into the future education system 4.0. The impact of IR 4.0 has opened a new paradigm for the Malaysian Educational Institution to ensure that all lecturers are capable of using information and communication technologies (ICT) in teaching and learning. However, there is a challenge in identifying appropriate digital learning platforms and tools to engage students in learning at their own pace. In this paper, we aimed to investigate the demand for digital learning platforms and tools according to the needs of students in Polytechnic Malaysia. The study was conducted randomly among 320 students from various fields of study in selected polytechnics. The analysis method used in this study was a quantitative method using questionnaires as an instrument. The results of our study indicated that e-learning platforms were the highest demand students’ preferred compared to other learning platforms and tools. Hence, the implications of this study could be useful as a guideline to assist Malaysian Polytechnic lecturers in strengthening the practice of using digital learning and develop digital proficiency for enabling education 4.0 in the future.

<p><em>This paper investigates how the Industrial Revolution affected the life of the British society’s families in the Hard Times novel. Throughout this discussion, the researchers will examine the main dimensions that had its negative influence on changing the situations of the families and the internal relationships among the families’ members till everything was muddled and hard as this novel is titled. In Hard Times, Charles Dickens represents four families of different social framework, Gradgrind’s family, Stephen’s family, Bounderby’s family, and the circus performers’ family. When the researcher explores each one of those families, she finds that the industrial revolution’s impact is really tough, since those families keep suffering throughout the novel due to its cruelty. This revolution is powerful enough to make the relationship among parents and their children, and among husbands and wives cold, uncomfortable, and lacking the usual warm familiar atmosphere.</em></p>
